I know this is bait but yes, everyone calls it the best or 2nd best game ever. Really the only objective flaws are the unskippable cutscenes, easy difficulty & Jabu-Jabu's Belly. Everything else is basically perfectly designed, contrarians on Yea Forums like to cry about it because it's rated so high & due to them being obsessed with EgoRaptor. Despite the fact that he's a fucking idiot, who literally sucks at every 3D game he plays

It's really good and has aged pretty well but you have to take it for what it is. Just like Evangelion laid the foundation for a lot of tropes that are used even today, it's the same with OOT. If you play it now for the first time some things might seem boring but at the time they were very original and revolutionary.

It's really not. Even ignoring that it has been surpassed by its successors in every regard in dungeon design, the game's puzzles just either aren't interesting or are inconsistent and cryptic. A lot of dungeon rooms are interconnected in really abstract ways as well, detracting from the design as a whole.

Variety doesn't have merit if the core combat, movement and puzzle systems are clunky and completely unenjoyable.
