Basically your character would continue travelling in a certain direction/you could change the direction by doing certain things allowing for more combo's. Afaik it was just a bug and they don't know how to replicate it.

If you have Cavaliere R do the back-forward swordmaster input and jump up their dick. It works every time as long as you hit them before you reach the highest point of the jump. As Nero or V just use charged shots.

Just beat it and as a massice Devil May Cry 3 fan, this game felt like a proper sequel. It's fucking great. It's everything I ever wanted. I was teary eyed at the end when fighting the demons as credits rolled, like in DMC3. 14 years and it's finally here. I loved every single moment of it.

Canon wise, where was Lady during DMC 1 and DMC 2?

Loved the game for the most part, combat was the best in the series and that's what matters above all else.

However, I have two complaints
1. The lack of any kind of puzzle/breather sections made a lot of the levels feel too short
2. Way too many Gold Orbs scattered around

V was entirely human but an incomplete being. He had nothing that would help him but kept using the little demon powers he stll had, which took further toll on his body.

Urizen was full demon. Complete with the super high resistance and healing abilities. Plus he basically hooked himself up on a giant tree running on human blood which strengthened him further.

How does this mean he's British? Red Grave's design was inspired by London. But that doesn't mean it literally takes place there. The art team from DMC4 went to the Vatican apparently and they used a lot of those inspirations for Fortuna in DMC4, that doesn't mean it literally takes place there. Dante has been stated several times to have surpassed Sparda.
He just ate his sword that contained most of his power and pooled it with his own.
Vergil is a match for Dante roughly so it makes sense he'd also be at or beyond Sparda tier.

Dude what? The whole point of 3 is that for the most part Dante doesn't give a shit about saving the world or accepting his heritage as a son of Sparda, he just wants to kick Vergil's ass.

Excluding DMC2 or DmC i guess, Dante is the most of a cocky asshole he ever was back in DMC3. He doesn't really give a shit about Lady telling him about how Arkham killed his own wife for power until she says he was her father, and even then he still jokes around. He only really becomes more mature and responsible in the last few missions. As for DMC4, what gave you the impression he cared about "helping" Nero? He only really started to warm up to him later on. Even when Nero gets absorbed into the Savior he just goes "lol kid I need my sword back". DMC4 Dante doesn't have that much investment in what's going on in DMC4 except getting Yamato back.

I can't for the life of me get the S rank for mission 10 on devil hunter. It just doesn't seem to be giving the points to match the S ranks I'm getting during combat. The old problem of enemies dying too easily, but the rest of the game hasn't been like this. Someone said to defeat Urizen but I don't think that's possible in this mission.

Critical hitting the death scissors has really made me want to go replay DMC 1 for some reason. When I was playing through all the games before release I moved on after normal mode, but I'm tempted to go back and play through DMD, maybe go for S ranks.
Also, I love how E&I work in gunslinger mode, it's feels very good. They're still sort of like peashooters but at least they feel good now after the travesty that was DMC 4 E&I.

It would be interesting if the next game takes place years later with Nero's son/daughter. We get to see Boomer Nero as well as elder god tier Dante/Vergil who now spend most of their time in hell as a tag team clearing out demons while sparring on the side. The story could be about Nero's son potentially going too close to Vergil's original path, or what if Nero had twins, that would be kino as fuck.

Rebellion/Sparda/DSD really need a fix for their animations. They feel really sluggish compared to Dante's other weapons and aren't nearly as useful as they were in 3/4. Fucking aeriel rave takes an entire second to cancel.

Can they? They make a big deal out of both of them fucking off to hell forever. Whether they can use Yamato for that or not is kind of irrelevant anyway since shit comes back from hell all the time in DMC. I found it weird that they make a huge deal of that.

It doesn't really need to have high stakes. Just have the player switch between vergil and dante as they both take separate paths each trying to kill more/bigger demons than the other.

they do less damage than the pistols in 1/3 by a noticable amount AND they do less damage the further away you are from something

in dmc3 E&I actually have some of the highest DPS in the game in gunslinger but in 4 they're just that thing you use to link stuff together

the real victim is the dmc4 shotgun though, whch actualyl somehow does even less damage than the pistols point blank and lost all of its good moves and utility, its basically just that thing you have to skip past to use E&I and pandora

The trip up to Dante's old homes music is great. I like Vergil's dynamic theme as it really puts the edge on when he starts shit stomping your stupid ass on SoS. Your aforementioned Cavalier Angelo. All 3 dynamic themes. The main menu theme. All 4(?) gallery songs.
