Yeah, just take a look at the guides and maybe play one or two solos to figure out whats going on

Also Yea Forums plays with modifiers that make do you 500% damage in exchange for only 10% health, and every enemy drops bombs that explode after 3 bounces. Once you learn how to dodge them you'll start having fun.

miner is cool but shit to play
Has strong single target damage with the auto attack and 3 different aoe moves with movement on them
but the move skills have long cool downs so you don't actually do that much aoe damage, and single target damage isn't great when most things kill you for standing next to them
Overall the class is probably good but I suck at the game so it's shit to me

I'm hoping $25 or lower, that's all I've got in my Steam wallet for now.

Yeah miner is pretty shit, but he's not the worst. If commands on you can get items that cover his weaknesses pretty well. The best orange with him is giant crystal, or thquib if you're not comfortable with him because his damage. A lot of people say grab alien heads but I don't really think that's what you want your first red to be. Tesla coil plays to his strengths really well, and if you have giant crystal cooldowns aren't a huge problem.
Overall there's better choices if you want to win but there's no better choice if you want to have fun
