It wouldn't surprise me if this happens actually. Itsuno wants to take a break before making 6 and Capcom aren't going to let DMC sit idle while it's white hot so I can see them pushing out remakes until Itsuno's return. Personally I'd prefer side games like Vergil's time in Fortuna (DMC4:SE wasn't good enough) the DMC5 prequel novel, a game about Tony Redgrave, and a game of the anime but doing it right.
