Game bricks your console

>game bricks your console
>$200 special edition with disappointing knick knacks
>devs ban you for playing game too well
>game is a glitchy mess on release
>unreasonable microtransactions
>gays, trannies, or hyperrealistic uggos in game
>ebin cinematic experience with little gameplay
>ebin generic hollywood score

Say what you want about Nintendo, but literally none of these have EVER been used to describe a Nintendo game. Name a video game company more based than Nintendo, I'll wait. Man it feels good to be a Nintendo fan in current year. Wahoo!

bump

>used cartridges while disc were better
>used baby discs on gamecube which hold less data
>ruined third party relations with draconian practices
>forced developers to make new IPs into a established franchise ie star fox adventures
>focused on hardware gimmicks like motion controls and tablet controller
>sells 2 versions of the same game with slight differences on release date wjen it could have been 1 game ie Pokemon and Fire Emblem
>sells lazily made remasters for $60 when others sell for $40
>makes lazily made remakes with less features than the original ie Pokemon

You're pretty much talking about Anthem, a third party game. And 2 of those points apply to Sony's western 1st parties (namely the cinematic shit and gays).
If I had tastes shit enough to care about those 1st parties then Sony would be up there are one of the top3 publishers in terms of not including bullshit. They release polished games with no (to little) microtransactions. Not sure where you're trying to go here, Nintendo is MUCH worse, they do:

-DLC bundles. Can't even buy DLC individually, pay the $20 upfront for the whole package or don't get it at all
-Release incomplete barebones games at full price or near that, then promise it'll have free DLC, but actually already have paid DLC through Amiibos and later on normal paid DLC (the latest Kirby game, Splatoon, Arms, etc). Knowing fully well 80% of people won't care about content that comes 8 months after release nearly as much as they would if it came with the game's launch
-Release 2 versions of a game, removing that last 5% of content from each version and making it exclusive to the other - see Pokemon and Fire Emblem. Then also occasionally release a 3rd version with all content.
-Physical overpriced $13 DLC with shoddy releases that mostly get sold out and can't be consistently sought out on release and get scalped (Amiibos)
-Mobile Cancer. FE, Animal Crossing, PokemonGo, with no signs of stopping (Sony also delves into it to be fair - namely Fate). With mobile cancer already influencing a main console release (Pokemon Go)
-Very mediocre games, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Kirby, SF Zero, etc. Almost as many misses as hits.

Again, I don't give a shit about Sony's cinematic shit, but it's undeniable their products are of a better quality overall if you're into them, and their business practices are better.

>Name a video game company more based than Nintendo
>Shuts down ROM sites
>Turns around and sell ROMs for $80, while intentionally keeping supply low
>Those emulators sell for hundreds on e-Bay
Meanwhile, there is drought #9,999 on their consoles.

name one

>Release incomplete barebones games at full price or near that, then promise it'll have free DLC, but actually already have paid DLC through Amiibos and later on normal paid DLC (the latest Kirby game, Splatoon, Arms, etc). amiibos aren't required for the game and in fact almost always just add a cute little skin or something, never actual content

>Release 2 versions of a game, removing that last 5% of content from each version and making it exclusive to the other - see Pokemon and Fire Emblem. Then also occasionally release a 3rd version with all content.
fair enough

>Physical overpriced $13 DLC with shoddy releases that mostly get sold out and can't be consistently sought out on release and get scalped (Amiibos)
again, never bought an amiibo and will never need to. they're shitty toys for kids that have the added bonus of unlocking a skin in a game.

>Mobile Cancer. FE, Animal Crossing, PokemonGo, with no signs of stopping (Sony also delves into it to be fair - namely Fate). With mobile cancer already influencing a main console release
doesn't affect main releases

>Very mediocre games, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Kirby, SF Zero, etc. Almost as many misses as hits.
mario party, mario tennis, and kirby are all good games.

>Again, I don't give a shit about Sony's cinematic shit, but it's undeniable their products are of a better quality overall if you're into them, and their business practices are better.
>better quality overall
user I...

Pretty sure all virtual console games are priced in the range of $5-10. If you're talking about the classic consoles, the price comes to about $2-4 per game.

>discs
>better than cartridges
Stopped reading there.

user you may want to study how shitty discs are and that they are very, very rapidly falling into decline. I, too, stop reading at your dumbass statement.

based

But Sony and Xbox do the same thing. I'm not calling it right, but you've used an example that benefits no one. Your math is also off, I bought a NES pack for thirty bucks and hacked it to have over 250 games.

>disk were better

Imagine being this fucking stupid. The only thing disk were better with was the amount of data it can hold.

One of thr core designs of the N64 was NO LOADING SCREENS. The PS1 had horrible loading screens because it was on disk. The only other problem was that games designed for the N64 were difficult to make. The PS1 was mu h easier to make games for.

Fuck off retard.

enjoy ur 100000 mario/zelda games bro

>over 250
How come?

Pokémon Sun/Moon were more movies/walking simulators than any Sony game

Yeah so much better that actual developers prefered to make for discs rather then cartridges, also cartridge games cost more

>he plays captain toad while the big boys all play Anthem
youtube.com/watch?v=08dbXQFyOLI

>Discs are better
To anyone actually stupid enough to believe this, you might as well give in to stupid shit like XBONE SAD.
All discs do now is install games on to the console for whatever retarded reason, taking up space and either forcing you to delete another game once you reach that storage limit, or get an external hard drive for more storage space for fuck tons of money.

Cartridges don't do that shit, and can reliably store a game that you can play and it's data.

Sony didn't make Anthem.
Nintendo is just lucky that the Switch is too weak to play Anthem. If it had been made for the Switch, the console would probably explode.

>lazy devs prefer to not have to optimize their shit and slap their 150gb game on a disc rather than a more economic and faster cartridge
Imagine that

>name one
There are too many to chose one. Do it yourself, won't be hard.
Even if at a later date they separate the individual DLC's, if you want their content on release you'll have to pay for the full bundle.

>amiibos aren't required
No form on DLC ever is required, doesn't mean that Amiibos are the absolute worst form of microtransactions, even worse than lootboxes due to their supply/demand problem.
Also you only focused on the Amiibo part of this point which isn't even the most relevant one. Nintendo's "Free DLC" scheme is one of the things that infuriates me the most. It justifies them releasing barebones overpriced games on release and at the same time build good PR by retards saying Nintendo is so kind for releasing "Free" Splatoon / Kirby / Tennis, etc content (when you already paid for it at launch but got it delayed)

>again, never bought an amiibo and will never need to
I never bought microtransactions for any game either, doesn't make them un-shitty. Also some Amiibos had hard modes locked behind them, IIRC in BotW and Metroid 3DS (might be wrong on the specifics, but I know for sure it was something well beyond a skin)

>doesn't affect main releases
What is Pokemon Lets Go? Are we going to pretend GameFreak didn't waste precious dev time on that game? Even if it technically isn't a main pokemon game it still directly affected the developer.

>mario party, mario tennis, and kirby are all good games.
You have VERY low standards. All of their Switch versions are absolute shit compared to their GC/other versions. It's especially hilarious how Mario Party Switch released right after the paid online was activated and it didn't have any online, despite being perfect for it. All of these, and more, are very lazy releases - you having low standards doesn't remove that fact.

Console wars are not my thing, I'm not a kid anymore. I have my own money to buy more than one platform. Sorry you still have to beg mommy.

>frivolity
lol

>game bricks your console
Stopped reading here so I can have a good laugh, and then I went back and read the rest of your post.
I still can't understand, how the fuck is that even possible?

man i am high as fuck, i meant to send this in a different thread sorry

OP here, not just talking about Anthem btw, every sony game suffers from these problems.
