I wanna make games for females

I wanna make games for females.
What's the best approach to do this.

You're too late bud. Weird dress-up flash games are being phased out alongside flash player itself.

Give the game at least one really powerful female protagonist

Don't make the game difficult to learn

outside a nice witty joke, I think women are a huge underexplored market.

Is not that they don't play games, would most males play a game about barbie dolls and socializing?

From what I've learned girls love games about personal expresion, almost dont like combat or physical conflict, they have slower reflexes and lower resistance to failure.

It would take a lot more than just make the MC female.

Beyonce mobile puzzle game with lootboxes

Think about games many girls like.
Sims, Animal Crossing, Skyrim, Legend of Zelda.
They, like many other casuals, want something that doesnt take much effort and can be played perpetually without anything really changing.

yeah, but that's a narrow range of mechanics and genres.

I've have dozens of ideas that could appeal to women, from a game about an animal shelter to having a restaurant to having a bussiness making clothes and fabrics in the muslim golden era, to some farming game.

There's a lot of gameplay ideas that doesn't even exist today in games.

Make something simple to learn but fools you into thinking it’s hard.
Like have hidden mechanics like 50% health looks like 25%
Weapons that do baby damage now do massive when in “low health mode”
Make fashion a priority looking good and kicking ass are a most.
Shoehorning Romance is 50%-50% depending on what genre you’re going for

women aren't interested in competition user.

unlocking things by skill is a masculine trait.

it depends of which kind of specific woman audience you want to reach. If you go for the right audience, chances is that you are getting a load of money because woman are more willing to actually pay and waste money just like other specific audiences (furries), that's why the industry is doing some effort to reach them.

I'm not so much interested over the money, as much as being a challenge to push games as art.

>games aren't art
???

Make a game that appeals to ultra chads and girls will pretend to like it

I'm with this guy. Good luck user.

Where did I say that? Who the fuck cares if games are art are not, that's what I'm trying to imply, you're coming off as someone who's pushing for "games are art" yet there's no reason for it to be regardless of it is is or isn't.

you're using masculine gameplay ideas to appeal to females.

It doesn't work that way.

Make not-Sims

I think if I made a game about sociopathic behavior in the form of a turned based strat/VN it would be pretty popular with women. The idea being to capitalize on the cattiness and natural inclinations towards interpersonal conflict.

>yeah, but that's a narrow range of mechanics and genres.
Thats the point, they dont want or cant probably even imagine anything outside these kinds of games.
Its the reason they do shit like waste few hundred bucks buy all the DLC for Sims games.

Fuck off, you troglodyte. Games as art brought us this cinematic experience dark age.

that's not the fault of the consumers.
Apple made billions by making iphones.

movie games are a literal niche market, they're not even the most played or popular games.

they're literally the ones with bigger budgets but they're played as much as indie hits.

Dota, Fornite, Fifa, minecraft, Terraria, LOL, are more played than movie games.
They're a very niche genre with massive advertising budgets.

there's biological diferences between males and females.
girls play diferent games than males and they seek diferent things.

>movie games are a niche market because they aren't the most played or popular games
>universally played, praised and sold millions
>niche
You're also completely missing the point of the conversation
>why do games need to be art?
>there's biological differences between males and females
Maybe work on your reading comprehension, this is "consoles are microtransactions"-tier Rami loves to write about.

hidden object games. the core audience is middle aged women. it's a cottage industry that exists completely outside the traditional ecosystem. they don't advertise in games media, only a handful of them bother with consoles, and neither the genre nor its major publishers even have a wikipedia page because they completely avoid the autism of the gamer audience. the closest thing you can compare it to is professor layton which seems to have an even gender split according to some sources.

all of these people saying zelda and shit like that are just exposing their incel nature. the only thing they know about women is through exposure to gamer girls, and they think gamer girls are a representative sample since it's the only time they've ever interacted with a female.

movie games are played once and forgotten.

More people play terraria than several AAA movie trash combined.

There's 3 indie games among the top 50 most sold games all time.
There's only one movie game among the top 50.

Again, you literally see all the big advertising on youtube, paid youtuber, paid streamers and all the shills on Yea Forums and thinks is 100% reality.

Do u even see videos or people talking about movie games from one year ago, much less older movie games?
Do u remember evolve and other movie AAA garbage that were shilled here?
People still talk about undertale, or touhou, nobody gives a fuck about PS3 movie games.

Shitty rpg maker games like to the moon are still more popular than 2014 movie games.

yeah, older women also love solitaire.

This is a good list of games.

Also, plenty of girls like things like Civilization and Tropico. Oh, and horror games. I'd say the majority of my female friends really love horror games.

So, life sim games, puzzle games, RPGs (Final Fantasy and Persona are popular with my friends), some strategy games, horror games, visual novels.

If you go with fighting games or shooters, cuter ones tend to be more popular with girls (Smash Bros./Splatoon), but also having a lot of hot characters works too.

My friends and I are all around 30, though, so these might not necessarily reflect what younger girls like. However, not a lot of our video game taste has changed since we were teens, so you might find the younger generation likes these too.

just think what girls like: babies, shopping, cooking, etc. there you go, you now have the sims

Hire women

Make a sims clone

Get a gay white man to help you

Blacked Simulator

what's wrong with gay black men???

make a moba or a mmo where they can model a hotter version of themselves to play with and make it not too difficult to play or even very casual. And a lot of care ported to in game chat and you're good

Make a tf2 clone with customize character creation ! and private servers only.
