Boot this game up after Anthem disappointed

>boot this game up after Anthem disappointed
>love the guns
>love the graphics
>love the gameplay feel
>"Why did I drop it?"

>at 230 power
>everything story requires 300 or more
>have to grind low level dungeons to get better gear
>constantly having to go to NPCs to *****SELECT***** challenges, aren't just given out to you
>the godawful fucking NPC interface
>the goddamn fucking TERRIBLE AI

is there any reason to push onward?

i dont understand how anyone can play these shitty games

you should push yourself off a cliff user

How did you stay underleveled for this game of all things? Maybe you don't actually own Forsaken and you are hard capped. I think I reached the level cap of 500 while I was doing things that said "recommended power: 280" on the map. It was insanely easy and the game kept raining it like candy. Maybe since you just own vanilla you are capped at 200 and grinding to push towards 250, like the base game.

I agree with everything else, the way you have to "buy bounties" from NPCs on that clunky interface among other decisions are really weird.

The Division 2 releases this week.

Anthem: made by Biotard
Destiny 2: Made by the "A" team devs, while all the expansions that made Destiny 1 good were made by the "B" team. And apparently there wasn't any knowledge transfer.
Division 2: Made by the same devs who made Division 1 and it's expanaions, and if the beta was anything to go by its going to be really good.

First Ubisoft game I've purchased in over 10 years.

I beat the main story, that's just how I ended up. I do own Forsaken but no other stuff.

Also forgot to mention every other thing says "ONLY FOR ANNUAL PASS USERS"

It’s so weird how people like these games. I can tell from a mile away they’re going to be overblown, hollow shit, yet everyone else can’t wait to gobble these turds down. Have other people not been burned by enough shitty vidya to warrant being more selective, or do the masses really just eat shit and love it?

Don't go for the Annual Pass. It's like $35 that won't even matter unless you beat everything, including the base game, all 3 expansions and you are at the level cap, really love the game and still want more.

And that's surprising, user. Maybe try doing some of the adventures? Or the strikes? I went through the game doing most of the content and I was surprised at how much I was outpacing the game gear/level wise. By the time I reached the second expansion (Warmind) I was pretty much capped in every way. Certainly never had to do anything more than once.

I didn't want to do adventures because they never had good content to motivate me

To be honest outside of the main missions it will barely feel like the game is putting enough effort into anything. Good luck finding pretty much anything that will motivate you in this if you aren't into just exploring and doing random shit for better gear. After buying it + all expansions a few weeks ago and finishing the Forsaken story today I have to say Destiny 2 is so incredibly average to acceptable in just about every area. It does nothing really well, but barely anything offensively bad. I can't in good faith recommend this for anyone who isn't just looking for an "okay" fps and a gear treadmill.

the drifter has bounties that raise power level to 640.

Or maybe, just maybe, they actually play the games and enjoy them.
It's weird, isn't it?

The post 600 grind is honestly fucking atrocious and such a stupid way of artificially creating more content.

Reminder that Destiny2fags have paid:

$60 US Dollars base game
$20 Expansion
$20 Expansion
$40 Expansion
$30 'Annual Pass'

For a total of $170 so far, if they have kept up with the game as new expansions came out. For a game that feels largely unfinished. The $20 "expansions" are a fucking joke and they had the audacity to charge $40 for the only one that was decent.

I had this experience too, adventures are usually a chore but I fucking love exploring and seeing the world too. So I was alwayslike 70 light levels above what I was supposed to be.
I had to put my nose down and focus on the campaign at a certain point because I was getting distracted.
>currently light level 654
>excited for destiny 3
>i know its money sucking racket but I love it

I got all of this for 40$.
In fact I actually got all of it for 15$ because the base game and expansions were a christmas present.

>shilling division this hard

Tell me more about a game that hasn't changed in years, where the enemies are sponges and the only interesting area, the "Dark Zone" has a bunch of arbitrary retarded requirements

I wouldn't know, I only played the Division 1 beta.

Of course, you can always get these for cheaper afterwards. Division 1 with all DLC was like $9 a few days ago. But the biggest fans pay the highest cost for the most unpolished versions of everything. Since when did it become so acceptable that a video game that's already for sale for $60 should only be worth $30 and be picked up for less than that years down the line when it actually has some content?

That's even worse - you're saying how good it is, but the game gets boring very fast, like most loot shooters with no endgame which is, you know, all of them.

Why would someone enjoy awful shit? Do humans really have that bad of taste?

There have been 3 expansions for destiny 2 already? I rented the game when it first came out but dropped it after getting to that little village in the tundra

Dunno if already posted, but the annual pass gives you catch-up bounties as well.

As someone who used to spend alot of time in MMO's, paying extra cash for a slowburn of content across a year dosen't feel too bad, as opposed to paying 10-60 bux in a subscription plan.

In reality there's only been one, Forsaken. There's two smaller ones called Warmind and Curse of Osiris but honestly, they just aren't all that good. They know this so well they pretty much renamed the game to "Destiny 2: Forsaken" now and just sell everything bundled for the usual price.

When the fuck will people realize that
ALL
SHOOTERS
SUCK
guns are so fucking boring that they should honestly not be allowed in videogames. Every gun always feels the fucking same and you can only create variance in gunplay by making enemies more or less bullet spongy. It's shit, it's boring
>b-but Halo was good
Halo was fucking trash, when it first came out, that entire franchise was fucking SLAMMED, all shooters got slammed and laughed at, even back in the day quake was laughed at as a fag game. The only reason any of them got popular is because you could play them in your elementary school computer classes.
They were shit and now people are so blinded by nostalgia that they actually believe memes like "virtual gun feel good"
Fuck off, no it doesn't. Literally melee combat is the only good form of combat because there's infinite variation.
So of course a shooter mmo feels bad, fuck. The only reason warframe isn't totally dead is because it has space magic and melee, crappy melee system still manages to be more engaging then any type of shooter at all because gunplay is inherently boring due to it LITERALLY being point and click garbage.

Anal pass is a hot fisting too, and Bungle is literally shit at video games. Wait until the next expansion and they'll give you powerlevels at .05% of the original investment.

I'm so fucking happy bungie left Activision and people will finally get to see that no, it wasn't Activision ruining destiny. It was just bungie being dogshit as usual

i still have a lot to complete in the first game, but i have no friends

This is bait?

Literally only mentally retarded people ever liked shooters

I agree with your post, but about melee weapons. Melee weapons are really boring. Guns on the other hand, can be much more varied and fun.

paid $12 for base game (could have gotten it for free)
then paid $40 for Forsaken
