they aren't goats they are monsters
Because its not fun to see someone suffer unless they are cute and innocent
I sincerely hope Fox will give him an happy ending, unlike some other gote. Please
Because the game was made by a furry and the designs are all rip offs
>cave story invented goats
>tfw didn't play undertale/deltarune/nudealert until last week
i see why people got so hyped over this shit back in 2015
Cringe
This doesn't refute the point that the designs are ripped off
These "goats" (monsters) have been killing human children. The only tragic thing about them is that there are people trying to sympathize with these murderers. We need to get rid of them
What else could he be talking about? The goats are the only thing I could see someone complaining about.
>Steal Mimigas from Cave Story
>Give them horns
>Call them a new character
>People love them anyway
What kind of reality is this? If I steal a character design and just give it horns, can I make a successful meme game too?
Toriel kickstarted the whole thing in the first place. Asgore didnt want to have to kill anyone until Toriel tried to talk shit. Then she has the nerve to act like Asgore was the bad guy. What's worse is that now all of a sudden, she wants to protect this one child just to satisfy herself as a replacement for her dead children.
But nope, let's ignore all of that. According to Toby, we should love this psycho and she did nuffin wrong. Aren't we supposed to sympathize with the monsters? What the hell is this shit?
Yikes
Yinge
Because they're Undertale's Mimigas/
What similarities are there besides:
>they look like a cute animal
>they're white
We all agree that he's going to be the twist villain, right
I want to be able to do genocide in deltarune just like in undertale
Only to inevitably be redeemed through self sacrifice or becoming Kris's cocksleave, yes.
No, that sounds fucking cringey.
What's the point of ruining a good character just for some pointless shock value for edgelords?
Get some taste, that sounds like something a stupid 9 year old would come up with.
He's far too lovable and sweet not to be hiding massive skeletons in his closet. Also, the Mother 3 parallels are pretty strong...
I want to stomp on his little goat balls and hear him cry
>dude, like, wouldn't it be cool if this really nice character turned evil for no reason at all?
>getting the Mother 3 equivalent in the Undertale Series
FUCKING HYPE and ready for suffering
>toby fox invented goats

Trying too hard
There is no twist
It's obvious if you think about it for more than few seconds
He doesn't even use fire
Of course, the prophecy claims a Prince of Darkness but shows there are multiple. Considering Deltarune is setting itself up as a remix of Undertale, he's going to do what it takes to stay on top.
There must be some double twist in there.
For example, he likes Kris and not the player or the other way around.
What is obvious, and what does Ralsei not using fire magic have to do with it?
He was originally intended to learn how to use fire in the first chapter but toby delayed it until chapter 2.

cntrl + f and type in fire
Toby is a smart enough guy. He would notice the pattern in everyone's expectations and subvert them. Not exceed them necessarily, just subvert them.
Ralsei could very well stay pure and strong throughout the whole game and that will be "twist" and every theorist will be going "wtf where's his edgy dark side? why hasn't he gone nuclear yet?".
Because the fact of the matter is, he doesn't need to have a dark side or an existential breakdown, people just want that because they like the thrill of watching drama unfold, they don't actually care for Ralsei as a character because they want to see him become something that he isn't e.g. a villain or a psychopath.
Those menus aren't specific to the mother series. They're just generic jrpg menus.
Waifufag.
You don't see the similarites as in any way suspicious?
What if the big twist ending is that Ralsei isn't necessarily a grimdark edgelord but rather a lonely goat boy who wan't to seal Kris and Susie in the Darkness world because he loves them?
This
I dislike it, though.
Toby is leaving too many options open, so when the "twist" comes up, it will be unpredictable rather than "oh shit how could I miss it?".
>the similarites
again it's not an earthbound menu, it's a jrpg menu.
oof

No I just think that it fits in better with Toby's philosophy when it comes to video games.
In an interview for Deltarune, he talks about a character in the game that will learn a certain type of spell, but the catch is that he's terrible at using it and as a result it becomes pretty useless. However it's made that way so that you stop looking at the characters as tools and more like real people, all with different passions and things that they want to get good at.
The point is that Toby treats his characters very carefully, he doesn't tailor them to amuse the player per se, with melodrama and clown acts. What he does is that he creates a characters as a piece of the world, not a piece of the story, if that makes sense. They're not plot devices, they're just engaged with the main narrative.
With that said, making Ralsei a bad guy for no reason would go back on everything that Toby stood for all in exchange for a little moment of "haha woah this is so climactic".
sorry for ruining your little fanfiction, matpat.
I don't think you understand the concept of drama.
Prompted drama and unnecessary forced drama are two different things.
Look it up, champ.
And what's to say that the aspects that will bring drama with Ralsei haven't been revealed yet?
>not becoming suzies
But why do you want Ralsei to be evil in the first place?
Exactly, the circumstances are meaningless, you just want it because you think it's "cool".
Where did I say that? I just said that Ralsei is too perfect for there not to be something about him.
His "perfect"ness could just simply be his fatal flaw because not everyone in the world will be on the same wave length as him and he may encounter some really bad units even worse than susie, people that even he can't negotiate pacifism with.
>too perfect for there not to be something about him
In a series where Papyrus exists, you can throw that assumption into the gutter.
We all agree that the "twist" that he's Ralsei BUT WITH GLASSES ruined a perfectly good design, right?
That already happened
Papyrus is by no means perfect, but fandom often glosses over his pompousness and complete naiveity.
He had a good heart and never held any grudges.
OooooOO wouldn't it be cool if he turned evil???
My hands after savagely killing Toby fox for making Susie a lesbian
He has FLAWS. Which Ralsei is rather lacking in, and considering how much people loved Asriel...
Tumblr gives Toby more money than waifufags, of course he's going to pander to them
He's a millionaire
why should he care?
I hate this edit because it should be something like
>* you tell Ralsei that he's a nigger
>why would people who like making money care about making more money
Gee I don't know
Fix it then faggot
This kind of thinking is why you aren't a millionare
I would eat her ass
Somebody post Susie images.
What happened to well made beautiful bodies?
Why does everything have to be this bloated deformed mess?
>genocide in deltarune just like in undertale
Isn't it that the Genocide and Souless pacifist lead to deltarune?
Then again you can't really do genocide in deltarune but you can only be Ultra-Violent
so like Asriel?
this. i thought the black fur made him look really fantastic and mystical
but I laughed when he revealed his true appearance a second time
That's basically what Asriel wanted to do, even though he wanted to do that through timeline fuckery
"After I defeat you and gain total control over the timeline... I just want to reset everything. All your progress... Everyone's memories. I'll bring them all back to zero! Then we could do everything ALL over again."
