WHY DOES DMC5 HAVE THE SAME SUBTITLE FONT AS MGSV WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHERE IS CHAPTER 3
What level is that?
Mission 18 or so, where you fight Urizen properly
vg is down the hall and to the left nerds.
I'm surprised that modern game journalists are actually liking DMC5 a lot, but I've been looking at clips of streamers fighting Vergil and it's giving me cancer. Shit like them using gold orbs three fucking times during the fight while saying that Dark Souls is better. I don't know what I expected.
Reminder that /ourzoomer/, Nero, is stronger than virgin Xehanort.
>Battle starts with Xehanort using Stopza, but Nero counters it by using Ragtime's charged attack
>Everytime Xehanort tries to clash swords with Nero, Nero would UNGA and overpower Xehanort by using Tomboy with his Devil Bringer's Phantom Fists
>Whenever Xehanort tries to teleport towards Nero, Nero can just catch him with the Devil Bringer like he did against Vergil
>whenever Xehanort tries to steal Nero's light, Nero would auto DT and stomp that old man
>When Xehanort uses his Desperation Move, Nero can use Gerbera, Table Hopper, and his new triple jump to dodge it with iframes that last forever
>When Xehanort shoot that giant beam, Nero can counter it with Gerbera's charged shot.
>
What's the meter above the SDT meter for Dante?
Holy shit I'm retarded and didn't realise it was my vitality, too use to it not being there
I thought KH3 was really, really easy (still enjoyable though), so I went online to see how streamers did it and they were having TONS of trouble very often, I really think streamers are usually shit at games.
What if when BP has online but instead of co op there are floors where you have to fight other players
>power level autism
Literally what's the point? DMC1 shows Mundus cracking reality and flying through space faster than the speed of light and Dante beats him easily, but after that everyone starts getting hurt by rocks being thrown at them in 4 and 5.
>streamers attempting to play as Dante aka "The Claw"
>streamers attempting to play as Nero aka "Don't Mash, Pay Attention"
Imagine them trying to play as Vergil aka "The Overpowered" and still failing.
>Literally what's the point?
To prove that Nero can counter everything that Xehanort can do because he is CUTE AND HANDSOME!
>Knows the whole point of her existence is to trick son's of Sparda feel safe and around their mummy they love
>I'm not your mummy V
>while he's dying and making sure she's safe
what a fucking cunt
How would Dante's demon and human halves look and act?
The devs knew.
They knew that putting in easy revive, they jurnos won't just write buttblased articles, but pretend they like the popular new game.
>Dante ran off to hell and took BOTH of Lady's rocket launchers with him.
No wonder he'd rather stay in hell fighting Vergil for eternity when the alternative is suffering her findom wrath
We better get a Dante & Vergil in hell DLC, and have a few co-op missions in it too.
This, every streamer I've watched was gobbling those gorbs, I couldn't believe my eyes, who the fuck actually uses gorbs?
Holy fuck King Cerberus is ruining me. Any advice?
I honestly only see gold orbs as stylish points from other players.
>imagine Trish getting pinned against a gray wall, that's the same color of her fucking boring bitch-ass character who imperonates moms becuase she's literally an unholy wretch with no dignity whatsoever, while at the same time the demon-whore who suckled Mundus' big red tri-balls and had so much piss-stained demon cum splurged all over her hair, it got dyed blond, is being fisted with pizza up her matrix-2000 black fetish pants ripped apart, so hard the term yeast infection gets a new meaning, and with her last whoreish, skanky, breaths she coughs up the crusty, hell-cum out her ps2-octagon mouth, leaving her dark soul unfilled, yet her ass stuffed to the brim
>ahem
>at this point Dragon's Dogma 2 us pretty much confirmed

Human half: literally Leon Kennedy post-RE4
Demon half: Omega Subhuman that cannot be killed
His demon half would be a jester demon, hos human half would be a fat balding man that reeeally wants more pizza
who the fuck cares autismo
Am I bad or is the second half/last third of this game significantly more difficult? I found myself getting bodied by ever boss fight later in the game and eventually had to break down and start using revives. I'm terrified to start SoS mode.
>DD2
>final boss is the Arisen from DD1
>get him to his final phase

DLC 1 TRISH AND LADY COOP CAMPAIGN
DLC 2 DANTE & VERGIL GETTING OUT OF HELL COOP CAMPAIGN
DLC 3 CREWCUT CAMPAIGN WITH RE2 GAMEPLAY
seriously what’s up with the golden orbs in the game? You can’t walk two feet without getting 3 Golden Orbs.
So I can't unequip Rebellion/DSS/DSD until I beat SOS?
>DMC3 is my favorite game of all time
>Legitimately had a greater time with 5 so far and I think it might be better than 3
Ummmm guys? Hopefully this is just the biggest case of the "Honeymoon Phase" I've experienced because I don't want people calling me a zoomer for saying that DMC5 might be my one my favorite games ever
ME WANT LADY GF
yep and I don't know yet if it's SoS or DmD
They didn't want any articles saying that the game is difficult because of the MTX
>scene group: Capcom
>streamers
>mfw I noticed that lobos was streaming this the other day
Anyone who actually watches that fag know what he thinks? I remember him going through the other games and somehow hating all of them but DMC 2 of all games. I didn't think it was possible to have taste that shit and I don't think he's changed since.
3 is awful, 5 shits all over the rest of the series
>I'm surprised that modern game journalists are actually liking DMC5
Most likely playing on Human -difficulty. Same shit happened with RE2 when capcom decided to name the normal difficulty "hardcore" so that journos wouldn't bitch and moan about how difficult the game is.
EVERYONE GETS A COWBOY HAT
>who the fuck actually uses gorbs?
Yeah hahah, how the hell would ever use them...hahah how pathetic hahahah
the gameplay is better, I can see people enjoying it more if that’s the ONLY reason they play, however, the atmosphere, story, combat encounters, levels, unlockables, bosses and everything else besides graphics are better in DMC3.
I think I might slightly prefer 3 in the end because the story is a lot more focused and the level design is way better but 5 has the edge in basically every other regard.
Maybe you should stop being a little bitch and actually enjoy the fucking game fully instead of worrying about what other people will call you if you do.
>girl comes with 3 guns, and talks about her demon-hunting business
She is a keeper I tell ya.
So now I'm supposed to exceed AND bringer after every attack? While holding shoot and lockon the entire time?
With a summoner class that plays like V
Are you zoomer? If not, Yea Forums clearly fucked up you in head
Gameplaywise DMCV is the best in the series so far. The other aspects of the game are underwhelming though and that kinda it's down point.
I think 5 has better enemy design than 3 tbqh
>spend whole game absolutely being a complete shitter because I'm playing on a controller for the first time
>go into the void after clearing up to 15 in son of sparda and unlocking DMD by beating the prologue
>finally starting to understand how to play
>finally start to realize the utility of sword master sword of dante stuff
>back + b launcher can be used at any time, because it's not an animation you physically have to do
>start up any attack with a long windup
>while it goes off, switch to sword and mash B for some extra damage
>same with stinger
jesus christ this weapon
What makes DMC so loved and liked?
I'm a very niche gamer I suppose. I really only like stuff like Monster Hunter, Bloodborne and what not. There's a clear pattern in what I like.
I feel that I don't understand what makes DMC (or the not hyped Sekiro) so appealing to people. From my understanding it's an Action game with RPG elements, but you're not 'free'. You travel through sections of a game in a linear fashion, you are forced to play different characters with defined playstyles, and the moment you finish the last mission, you're done. Replay is just doing the same game again, forced through every area in the same linear fashion with the same fighting mechanics.
To me it sounds really uninteresting. I love control over your character and deciding when to go where and do what (with some lesser restrictions obviously). Could anyone explain their side of this? What makes these kinds of game so loveable?
I liked that guy. It's Blitz done right.
Is this pasta?
Fuck those ninja lizards. Fighting them as V on harder difficulties sucks ass.
5 is objectively better than 3 unless you are wearing nostalgia goggles.
DMC5 is pretty much the best just because they cut off the some of the worst aspects of the series like the long and/or punishing puzzles (Fortuna Forest, Dice Game and Leviathan ect.)
Someone upload the first chapter of the V manga already
PLEASE
>Jorunos like it and people are buying it
>DMC 6 pretty much confirmed
>non believers forever BTFO
>DmC fags forever BTFO
DMChads how do we stop winning?
Oh fuck I forgot V is a thing and I will need to fight these fuckers with him, the cat better parry them.
>DLC 3 CREWCUT CAMPAIGN WITH RE2 GAMEPLAY
Crewcut + notes taken = strongest entity in the DMC universe
I'm not even kidding though, I'm a complete shitter at DMC, spent about an hour trying to beat Vergil 3 on Normal in DMC3, but I've always felt like using Gold Orbs was cheating, it makes the game way too easy since you can just facetank everything and pop a ress if you actually die.
Gotta look at the reddit spacing
It has to be, user can't be this stupid
best timeline
Pvp wouldn't work in DMC. It's just be a game of whoever starts their combo first wins
How did subhuman ended up being the best theme?
Its only like that in the first half of the game
vergil absolutely raped me in both fights, AND i lost to him in the credits sequence
feels fucking awful man
i wish the game had nvidia ansel
Why the fuck is Capcom so retarded? First RE7 now DMCV. Why even bother with denuvo when they cant even protect it from themselves.
>can parry with bullets
>he doesn't shoot the bullets, he holds them in between his fingers and parries attacks with it
control and freedom and choice are all strictly elements within the combat system. The stage design, the art, all of it, is secondary to a combat system that gives you a GIGANTIC set of moves, many of which are ridiculously powerful. And then putting you up against enemies that, on higher difficulties, are actually difficult enough to require that power.
>Vergil's model is found in the enemies section, not the character section
I am going to assume this is not a pasta. Stylish and fun combat. The combat is so fun and free especially since DMC3 and thats whats drawn alot of players into it. The feeling of going through hordes of enemies untoched in higher difficulties while destroying them in creative and flashy combos is the number 1 appeal for me and I also like the camp along with it.
didn't he die?
how would they do it a journey though hell?
>bosses
Yeah, no. 3's bosses in general are so much worse than 5's.
By accepting you can't do everything at once and instead choosing whats either the coolest or most useful at the moment
Is Royal Guard the only way to style on Vergil? I tried and failed for like an hour but always had high style. But when I finally switched to Trickster/SM and was able to beat him my style was just dogshit all fight long. How do people style so well in these games?
>Crew cut enters Urzien fight after Nero gets knock out in the prologue

I'd much rather have Itsuno make Dragons Dogma 2 now.

is there a difference between gerbera and gp01?
>Complete the game, eager to start a new playthrough
>Have a blast with DT Nero and perfecting combos
>Get to V and lose all will to play
I like him as a character but his moveset is way too gimped compared to Nero and Dante
Map gun to R2
2 years max, DMC 5 is a huge success.
AHHHHH, I CANT KILL THE SUMMONER ON NEROS END CREDIT FIGHT, AND I CANT BEAT VERGIL IN TERMS OF KILLS, HOW THE FUCK DO I DO IT
His human half would pretty much just be normal Dante but more caring, would look like DMC3 Dante if he never lifted, would fight like a male version of Lady, all guns, and for that matter would probably just call himself Dude. His demon half would just be his DT and sometimes Sin form and he'd go around picking fights with the biggest demons he could find for the fuck of it.
>Ragtime is only CRAZY
Found the shitter
Wait, you unlock DMD by beating the prologue urizen fight?
GP01 lets you go straight up or down
up if youre on ground, down of youre in air
helps for evading height based attacks plus comboing in a small zone rather than flying around the damn place

I'd rather have something like a stand-alone DMC x Resident Evil Mercenaries game on the RE engine, including enemies from both franchises, and featuring characters such as Hunk, MEEEESTER KENNEDY, Crew Cut, and Lady. That would certainly solve the problem with a lack of enemy variety in a Mercenaries game.
gp01 neutral on the ground jumps, neutral in the air sends you down
>The "job" was actually to get BLACKED
Dante sure is quite the prankster
based
Assuming this is not a pasta, DMC's gameplay is the most free there is. Sure, the levels are linear, but the combat - the main appeal - is not. There's an immense amount of room for free expression if you spend some time getting good with the system, and it's a lot more freedom than in say Skyrim where you're just going to places to do the same thing.
Just compare the combos in the attached webm to the combos shown in this twitter link. Same character, same moveset, but a wildly different style of dominating the opponent.
twitter.com
It's this freedom that draws players to Devil May Cry. And it's the reason why Bloody Palace, which is essentially just a series of empty arenas filled with enemies, is probably the best part of the games. It dispenses with the illusion of exploration and allows you to explore the real meat of the game with no interruptions.
No Nero saves him, in fact when you beat the mission again in SoS you get a picture of Nero high fiving all the surviving solders
Not the only way to style on Vergil perhaps, but certainly the best way.
relax, you don’t need to be the 360 ultra scoper, just do what’s best at a certain situation, change when you want to as well and try different things. The great thing about the added complexity to Dante and Nero is that it helps clear the anxiety when you know it’s virtually impossible to be perfect with all mechanics at the same time.
I felt like shit at the end because I expected an EPIC jackpot against some ultimate demon but guess we'll have to wait
I'd rather it be 3 to 4 years or even itsuno taking a break to work on another game then coming back down the line. DMC4 and DMC2 were both rushed and it did not bode well for them.
2.5 years, considering Capcom's declared development strategies, so late 2021.
it needs to be RE6 gameplay though
>Vujos saying he's much better on higher difficulties
>currently running through SoS
>my experience is no different
I like V quite a bit, even more so after the reveal he's Vergil, but his gameplay just dosn't click for me. It's unengaging, easy, and even boring to an extent. A shame but that's how I feel.
>mash B
the attack has a cooldown, so no
set shoot to R2, and Exceed to L1, makes SSS combos so easy
>try to fight urizen 2 (mission 8) on SoS
>get my ass beat when he gets out of the chair
fuck
are you motivated enough to stab yourself Yea Forums?
Shadow and Griffon both have huge 360 attacks you can keep charging until Fury starts teleporting, if anything he's easier with V than with Dante and Nero.
I really hope we get some fresh stuff if we ever get DMC6. Playing DMC5 was great as a fan service game but you could tell they had no idea what to do with the plot. Maybe they could go ahead with what Dante said to Mundus in DMC1 where he said ''Give my regards to my son'' and hopefully it's his daughter
There are several straight up shit bosses and enemies in DMC3, though. There's no enemies or bosses in 5 that I thought were just bad.
>post yfw charge shot
I'm honestly surprised at how much I liked the reveal that he's Vergil. Before the game released I was all 'if V turns out to be Vergil I'm going to be so mad, that's fucking stupid,' but the execution was spot-on and I ended up really liking it.
what is the soundtrack that plays when dante finds his childhood house?
Nah
>that reddit spacing.
It is the damn inertia thing going on on DMC and the psychics in general that make it feel more satisfying then say Bayonetta or NG. Souls borne are slow clunky trash and Monster Hunter belongs in another different genre.
Is this conjecture or is there a leak?
i honestlry thought they were not going to put it in the game after i played the demo
>when you nut so hard you feel your soul leave your body
There isn’t a single boss in 3 worse than the bosses in 5 except for the flying centipede demon and the heart of the leviathan
so what actually is this?
This, even the Scissors which should have been pure cancer based on the track record of ghost enemies were fun to fight because they were aggressive, rarely go out of bounds and most of all could be damaged with any weapon
>From my understanding it's an Action game with RPG elements
The fuck? I don't think this post was originally about DMC desu, seems like modified copyasta
muh dick
kalina ann
I'd say DMC3 still wins in terms of story, because it's so simple but extremely well told, with a very consistent theme. 5 wins second place in terms of story for me and probably first place in terms of gameplay and just about everything else.
man dante must die does NOT fuck around in this game, holy shit i'm get casual filtered hard
Bringerpunch is weak as shit compared to exceed and if you fuck up the timing you'll fuck up your whole combo. Learn to use it for streak and calibur to negate the knockback, use it when it's free (like riding punchline or tomboy's spin) but otherwise don't bother unless you have the autism for it.
this
post yfw sin judgement and dante's boomerang homing summoned swords
It's SOS, got it last night. You buy an upgrade called Dante Irregular Custom which lets you make entirely custom loadouts, including no weapons and all weapons at once.
>try to S rank prologue
>break the shield twice
>B
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOW THE FUCK
I'm glad there's no arkham tier boss fights
I was doing DMD without items just fine until that shitty boss
Holy shit, not only does the boss take away half of your mechanics (style and DT) but it also spams the most unforgiving move and spends half of the fight being off the field.
FUCK arkham
I went from constant s ranks and a stockpile of unused gold orbs to having to use multiple orbs on the same boss fights. Not sure when the switch happened but a little after halfway feels right
1 was much better story-wise than 5, 5’s story is pretty much non-existant, borderline embarrassing
Agreed. It could have gone very badly but as you said how they handled it and more importantly how Vergil changed after experiencing life free from that demonic lust for power made it so good, and while I don't like his gameplay replaying as V after finding out he's Vergil gives his cutscenes a whole new perspective, I'm hearing a lot of Vergil in everything he says and it's just making me smile all the time.
What do the gun and sword buttons do if you don't have any weapons on you?
Holy shit wtf is that face. Resident evil 2 ingame faces look almost identical to the cutscenes. I guess you wont see his face much during gameplay anyways but holy shit that looks like a shitty stunt double
>mission 13
>game let's you play as the legendary dark knight sparda
>game let's you play as the man looking for revenge
>he still picks V
explain yourself faggot
same, got my shit pushed in the prologue and decided to try again later
fucking hell man
hmm, OP I haven't seen this image in motion yet. Shopped.
>1 was much better story-wise than 5, 5’s story is pretty much non-existant, borderline embarrassing
This is b8, right?
Hey I recognize that face!
I'd give 5 and edge up on 3 just for the final battle alone, Nero's tantrum was cathartic as hell and FUCK YOU perfectly portrayed 20+ years of anger at an absentee father
>break the shield
>doesn't kill Urzien
>playing mission 13
forced multiplayer segments are a disgrace
>Nico mentions in her entry that Lady is fucked in the head
Anyone else got problems inputting back forward for Bird?
Eh, I'm guessing Itsuno is going to direct DD2 next and even then it's probably going to take at least 3 years since they can't recycle REmake 2 or DMCV assets. I'm looking forward to REmake 3 and DD2 but they're entering development at an awkward time since next gen consoles right around the corner so Capcom might have to upgrade their tech and assets a bit. Most probably they'll just release them on current gen with enhanced ports on next gen but we'll see how everything pans out.
Is it just me, or is the chicken the most difficult boss in the game?
because v is a fun character and I like playing the violin
>huge success.
Any sales numbers?
>play as V
>never have to play as V again for that mission
Ez
Gerbara, Helter Skelter, Ragtime, and Rawhide are crutch arms. Extra damage on Buster Arm is not worth it when you have the bringer. All the DLC arms are trash.
I laughed at that part. It fit perfectly.
You can feel all the voice actors having a great time with DMC5.
Well fuck. I secretly wanted this game to be more accesible because i'm just mediocre as fuck but i wanna have fun
I'm a casual bros i have felt this way since the dmc4 se days when i actually tried to get s rank in every mission for the first time. It's not that i dont want it to be difficult i just whish i wouldnt have to become a finger breakdancer to pull off even the simplest of combos
Nothing. There is an achievement for beating Mission 11 with no weapons equipped. You have to use Sin DT for every battle, pretty much requires the infinite DT costume.
Are there any other missables besides Kalina Ann/orbs
So I need to kill the boss that I'm not really supposed kill just to get a rank above B? Sounds a little extreme to me.
A game of this scale with the level of complexity required for it to be good cannot be made in only two years.
or you can royal guard release everything?

>Riots on dmd
Fucking hellfire, it only gets worse from here right?
A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool.
That's disappointing, I was hoping for a DMC3 Sword Pierce kick or the old fist moveset
That too
Just stick to the lower difficulties then user, higher difficulties are for enthusiasts and as long as you're enjoying the game I don't give a fuck how casual you are, that's how DMC is built after all. Casual, hardcore, everyone can find something here.
>that pic
Do you have the
>do you know how humiliating it is to have a son?
I don't claw playing Dante and I'm beginning to think that's my problem
I noticed that I miss 2 ending scene, how do I get that? Do I have to replay the mission 20?
the katana
Qliphoth was literally Temen-nig-ru 2: Electric Boogaloo and Vergil's incentive was the same. 5's story is almost exactly like 3 so I don't get why people are saying that 5's story is weak compared to 3
You could also get S+ in the small fight before Urzien but killing him is not hard.
The visual effects during Urizen are too much, I fucking hate this fight.
how do i get good at parry
if you don't feel like beating son of sparda, yes, you can beat the prologue and unlock the next difficulty
is there SS rank on this game? you need to no damage the mission to get it?
>get 7 free gold orbs because people marked you as stylish
>start mission 13
>witness a clusterfuck of combo autism with nero and v
Co-op is unironically the best thing the devs ever did for this game. Hope it will be in the bloody palace.
Speaking of Vergil battles why is the music so god damn shit? It's not only worse than DMC3 Vergil themes, but arguably the worst boss themes in DMC5 period.
You can be extremely stylish without changing styles or weapons, just like DMC3.
lel no, no puzzles in qliphoth, no multitude of different scenarios etc
big fan of the unlockable classic blue and gold palette for Vergil.
youtube.com
it goes all the way to sss you have to no damage no dt
I no damaged M1 with Nero and only managed to get an S even with good combo's so unsure if it even exists.
>>Gerbara, Helter Skelter, Ragtime, and Rawhide are crutch arms. Extra damage on Buster Arm is not worth it when you have the bringer.
they don't just do more damage they have properties the bringer doesn't (helter skelter breaks shields, rawhide makes wire snatch better, ragtime can set you up for interesting combos/attacks etc)
gerbera i can agree with since post game nero can effectively quadruple jump without it but it still looks cool.
> I don't get why people are saying that 5's story is weak compared to 3
DMC has one the largest nostalgiafag fanbases and an equally large retard playerbase. I mean you have one guy who said not having puzzles in an action game was a flaw
I'd say it's very different thematically. It's still about family, of course, but it's hard to pin down the exact themes 5 is trying to convey compared to 3.
What are scenes 7 and 8 in M18? I don't have them unlocked in the gallery
Yeah because you get an alternate ending when you do which technically means that you beat the game on SoS
Wasn't he the guy who kept spamming stinger the entire time and didn't like any of the cutscenes?
Has anyone else used Trickster more in this one? I kinda dabbled with it on recent playthroughs of 3, but I almost have Dante exclusively in Trickster now.
>The Duel
>Shit
Shit taste confirmed. That opening drum solo is 10/10
just S
Yeah, it would have been nice but I think its meant to specifically be a challenge mode for people who really like Royal Guard.
How do i unlock the recovery taunt for Nero, and how do i unlock V's ex color
Problem is SOS and below are too easy, but DMD and HAH are way too difficult. I can still beat those modes just fine i just wish i could do it while having fun and pulling off combos like in SOS and below. It's fine if die a lot and have to retry i just whish the moveset was more accesible so i could pull off the moves while under pressure thats all (talking about dante of course but nero feels a bit clunky for some combos too idk how to put it)
I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way
What's the difference between Cavaliere and Cavaliere R
how did dante get out of hell in 2?
Trickster was my go to style on 3, barely used it in 4, I’m using it constantly in 5, specially with DSD, since it gives all styles the swordmaster air combo.
he walked out
yes, however if you are doing all S, you need to do SoS anyway
Imagine if your mom looked like this haha
FUCK YOU
color, cavaliere R can be interrupted more often and it has one extra move
1 Amazing Combo.
The Cava R is much better because of this unfortunately.
My only negative flaw with the game.
Itsuno said he's done with dmc after this. Plus since Dragons Dogma is his own baby I can imagine he wants to have another go at it, maybe this time without having to cut a bunch of shit due to capcom and ninja theory shitting the bed and needing him to clean it up as best as he could.
What music are you guys using?
>The Time has Come for Nero
>Ultra Violet for Dante
>Crimson Cloud for V
>dash distance is longer and has no delay
>air trick actually teleports you right to the enemy now
Trickster is much better now.
Is Nico a top or bottom?
Would she use a strap on she built herself or would she use like a wrench or something
why battle themes barely play? there are like 3 missions with nero where nothing plays during fights.
Zoomers only love 3 though. It was the new hot game when you were 12. 1 has always been the best.
I just realized all the women in Dante's life have Daddy issues
Except I can't because every enemy dies after I lift the in air and do a roulette spin. The most I did was A. Is there a fast way to fuck Urzien up? Breaking the shield twice took me like 10 minutes and he was still nowhere near dead.
that camel face, fuck face scan
>Thinking Capcom will let Itsuno stop with DMC after this game's success
They will give him whatever he wants if it means they can keep this reputation revival going.
Lucia combat theme for nero
Devil never cry for dante
Buy a Xbox One Pro controller. Problem solved.
It's a genius way of implementing Kamiyas original DMC vision of showing off and being stylish to a bunch of strangers and friends at the arcade but now you can do it interactively, taunt and one up each other.
>that
I have my doubts Sparda had just two kids. Dante and Vergil probably have like 43 other siblings out there
>no puzzles in qliphoth
I meant that they are similar thematically and design-wise, as in both are tall towers manifested from the underworld with Vergil at the top looking down upon the world
does jumping gives you a couple of i frames? i feel like a lot of times i dodge a lot of attacks i feel like i shouldnt have when i jump
Do you rewatch cutscenes? I'm on SoS with the weeb dub.
>so far have Urizen down to 1/4th his hp in DMD and have most of my health
>mistime my jump when the lasers start sweeping
>instant black screen into cutscene
I swear I'm gonna get this but holy shit. Remembering I can taunt in the air has been a huge life saver.
Honestly all of them are great regardless of the situation except Helter Skelter. It's break age is decent but the standard attack doesn't do much damage so it's only useful for breaking guards.
What difficulty?
I got S in the prologue on SoS just by killing the monsters before Urizen and then damaging the crystal for 25% of its health.
Hair swap for Trish when.
Yeah he is gonna make dragons dogma 2 with coop and culminate the capcom redemption arc.
This is the best timeline
It should have honestly just been his default look.
A smile and a laugh turns every thing around user.
how do I get there user?
I know you need to shoot these, but they seem too far
>Nero's Devil Trigger is Fuck You
Amazing
Yep. The start up animation of jumps always has invincibility in DMC. Before DMC4 it was actually the best way to dodge things.
kb+m chads where are you at?
default for first playthrough, going with Vergil 2 for Nero, Devils Never Cry for Dante and some DMC2 song for shits n giggles for V
Now Nero has too.
Biggest bitch of them all.
>ultra violet - v
>vergil 2 - nero
>devils never cry - dante
I legitimately think this is the best game in the franchise. Everything is great about it. Enemy design, combat, music, and aesthetic all come together perfectly. It has surpassed DMC3 in my book. This is one of the best games of all time.
>they can't recycle REmake 2 or DMCV
They can however recycle Monster Hunter assets like they did for the first Dragon's Dogma
oh thats radical i dont need to roll anymore, is it the same with the enemy jump ability?
Any tips for Urizen on SoS? I feel like Urizen constantly teleports and I can barely damage him
Yes. This is the main way you should dodge attacks especially with V if you don't want to recall one of your pets and interrupt their attack. Just let go of lock-on and jump.
Capcom says it's only behind to MHW, which was a INSANE success
>I'm not your mommy, V.
You have to get to the bridge before V destroys it.
They recycled MonHun stuff in Dragon's Dogma? Got any examples?
>someone already made a turbo mod
Based.
Ragtime is just meh, there's no attack on it so the regular use isn't very good, the Break Age is cool but again is just utility without having any real damage or moveset options
Helter Skelter is weird, sometimes it's great for DPS/busting open those scissor fuckers, but sometimes it just feels so lame, any tips for using it?
I was planning to do my second playthrough with the live action cutscenes, but they aren't fun like the mocap ones from DMC3, so I just ended up turning them off.
I rewatch cutscenes with different costumes. V's alt is really good, I prefer it just like Lady's. I'd like Nero's more if it also had white hair, but I'm sure there'll be a mod for that.
>That opening drum solo is 10/10
my nigga
Reminds me of the intro to Geese theme in Fatal Fury 3
youtube.com
Man, Trish/Eva was the only model that still looked like shit in the final game, all the other character's faces that people were iffy on at first, like Nico and Lady, turned out to be great in-game but something about Trish's face is still wrong
I agree, except for one thing: The last few missions area designs are a little fuckey, and also i wish we had a bit more area variety in general.
story purposes, fuck Capcom!
yes, I’m doing a alt color SoS playthrough in japanese, a Human (for trophy) with the Live Action cutscenes and a final canon colors and voice again DMD.
thanks, is there anything useful there? like a secret mission or an upgrade? or is it just orbs?
Not Capcom, that's just an estimation based only on Steam numbers.
trickster is buffed as fuck in dmc5
infinite ground dodges, more range on trick up and with jump-canceling being easier it's just so much fun to use
Pls someone answer.
where?
do people still use this website nexusmods.com
Ground trick is my favorite new tool in this game. Shit's insane. You can do so many DBZ shenanigans, like knock dudes down with the balrog and teleport down to punch them before they hit the ground. God damn.
Hell yeah, I abused Ground Trick on Vergil
>that slight thigh gap between the spats and boots
This is where the boner is forged
I enjoy playing V but you're absolutely right. He doesn't have many moves, most of them just let you charge up the ones he already has to do more damage. I really do hope they use him as a template for a summoner/beast master type vocations in dragons dogma 2.
you play the videogame
Orbs only if I remember right.
>game now fully suports kb+m
AHK never felt better. This game is perfect now.
How do i unlock this for the love of god
>everything
>doesn’t mention levels or story or atmosphere or dialogue
Mind you
guys pls respond
he liked the reboot more in general. he got a bit more accustomed to the series cheese/campiness by the time he got to DMC4 and he did enjoy Nero from what I remember. when it switched to Dante though he did what we all did first time and basically DT Stingered his way through the game.
Pretty sure, yeah. Double jump also has some i-frames.
you need to beat the boss in the prologue and kill all the enemies as Nero in the credits and kill more than Vergil in the same credits
I think that's it, I haven't got those yet though
I've only just now beaten Malphas in mission 15, so I can't comment on how the last couple missions are, but it's been great so far. I think the last level was my favorite in the whole game so far - mission 15 was long and full of fun enemies to use all the different Devil Breakers on. It took me around 30 minutes to fully explore it, and I almost got lost. Was a ton of fun.
How does enemy DT work in DMD?
A lot of bosses straight up cant handle air trick
seems kinda broken
Devil Hunter. Stuff's just dying too fast to get stylish.
I used two orbs myself because I got myself spoiled and didn't want to tryhard through the fight again if I had to do it again with Nero. What I didn't knew was Nero DT could melt Vergil in an instant.
How do you unlock the banana arm?
Dante - Lock & Load(DMC4 ver)
Nero - Shoot the works
V - Ultra VIolet
>Don't mash, pay attention
But I literally have to mash to get that sweet sweet Exceed
he walked out
that wasn't a joke
No it shouldn't. The default is the best look as it shows a grown up Vergil sporting the influence of his time as V, the shimmering blue details of the patterns are lost in a blue coat and just ruin it. The EX is nice but it's pure nostalgia, Dante and Nero shouldn't be the only people who gets a different look after all.
I can't say for sure if it's better than 3 or not because it's been a while since I replayed 3 and I'd want it fresh in memory, but I feel the same really.
The only problems I have with this game is that the story is kind of bland, Vergils character was inconsistent at the end, and the enviromental variety is pretty poor. That's it, and they're all super minor concerns.
The gameplay is the best it's ever been and there are 0 annoying faggot enemies you just don't want to fight.
Should I get the vergil haircut?
>all those people who bound Nero's gun to R2/RT
>get devil bringer at the end
So what, you'd be playing co-op with another arisen with both of your pawns tagging along?
It's definitely strong. Downside is that you have to commit to a jump, and you don't always want to be in the air.
after watching gameplay, I'm gonna wait for the special edition with hopefully turbo mode, bloody palace and playable vergil
Just because I didn't mention them doesn't mean they aren't great.
But yea, 5's levels, story, atmosphere and dialogue are probably the best in the franchise. 3 has some great dialogue, too, but I think 5 takes it.
All the other games have "annoying" moments, like shit gimmick levels or some whack enemies, but 5 just feels like a smooth clean game so far with no annoying moments. Not once in my playthrough so far have I been "annoyed".
does nero get an enemy jump like that or only dante
Sexy without being vulgar.
Also Lady is copying Dante costumes, she's clearly in love with him
Right here, bro.
I'm guessing they're going to impeller what they've learned from developing V & coop and apply it to DD2 in an expanded scope. I'm getting pretty hyped just thinking about it, shine on crazy Itsuno-san.
It's a well known fact that they reuse monster skeletons in Monster Hunter but going from Dragon's Dogma to World you can see a lot of DD animations in World so it's not a stretch to believe that it's was a two way street
okay, thanks user
Who here really didn't die at least once on the Vergil x Dante fight?
>that .gif
He's gonna draw one of the girls getting ass raped by Cerberus isn't he?
right here because the pirated version doesn't recognize my controller, it doesn't feel that bad honestly
I'm pretty sure everybody can purchase enemy hop, even V.
>how do I unlock this
I have no fucking clue, honestly. I unlocked it just by beating the game once, but I know some people unlocked it at different points. I suspect that it has something to do with beating a certain number of missions with a certain final ranking, like beat 20 missions with a ranking of A or above, but I'm really not sure.
Dash spam is now a thing.
I was hoping Vergil would get a demon sword Vergil.
implement*
Japan only i believe. but modders might be able to get it for PC.
whats the actual bonus ending this time around? It feels impossible trying to "beat" vergil in the credits. If you dont use your DT at the right time as Nero its cutting it close too
I died a couple times but I'm a shitter
The fucking true Urizen fight though, jesus fucking christ that kicked my ass.
so if vergil becomes playable does that mean dante will be able to use yamato
The guy who did Dante’s “remix” in MVCI did a majority of the songs in the game’s soundtrack. :)
Holy shit Vergil on SoS is brutal af
Can't wait to reach him on DMD
Why the fuck was Nero so hungover getting called dead weight?
>final fight
>Nero finally steps up
>y-you too dead weight... hahaha gottem
Christ Almighty Nero what the fuck is wrong with you?
next game, in 2027
I'd rather have Itsuno working on DD2, those guys deserve a better, more completed game. Let them have it with a V-esque summoner class.
3 was very focused, you had a primary and secondary protag and a primary and secondary antag, with demons full of personality and tons of lore on the tower, the demon-world, Sparda, and so on. There was also a clear theme and character-growth on all parts leading to the resolution, and more importantly an actual resolution. In 5 the protags are stretched too thin with Dante, Nero, V, Nico, Trish, Lady, Morrison, while the antag is too focused, it's just Urizen until he's Vergil again and that's it, the closest to a secondary is Malphas but she's barely around and has no actual plot-relevance. There's no major theme or growth other than, "Vergil's gotten a lot stronger, so Dante gets a lot stronger, but Nero doesn't want them to fight so Nero gets a lot stronger," and the entire, "Humanity is strength," "No, power is everything," thing between D&V is cheap as hell when it was clearly and unquestionably already settled in 3. Nero getting between them and bitchslapping them into realising they don't have to be assholes their entire lives was nice but happens like two seconds before the credits start with no build-up to it beyond a ten second phone call, just so they could have their big, dumb, "Surprise, Nero finally has a DT! Bet you didn't see that coming nine months ago!" moment. There's no character growth which leads into it, it's just, "I have to kill him!" "No, don't do it," "But I have to!" "But he's your dad!" "What!?" "So I'm going to kill him for you!" "Wait no stop!"
5 is a better game than 3, right now it's close but when BP and the inevitable DLC/SE/Complete come it will be a clear winner, but the story is fucking amateur in comparison.
I'M GONNA SAY THE J-WORD
>nero spends the whole game being butthurt about a comment when dante was in animalistic majin form
He already has it though. Some anons pointed out that the blade at the end looks different from when we see it at the start and Vergil uses a Sin Trigger like Dante and as we know the only way to get that is by merging with the weapon.
>Phone booths are introduced as a way to call up Nico to get powerups
>Nero gets his DT from a phone call at the final booth
it's a small thing I've noticed but shit's great
It's pretty hilarious he spent the entirety of the game seething. I wish Dante would've mocked him for it instead of complaining about the slap.
>mfw he said that
Itsuno will work on DD2, but will supervise Matt on DMC6 / DMC0 / DMC Remake
what
how?????
I'm on mission 15 right now playing as Nero and he's doing moves that I've not input like using his devil bringer when I'm pressing Triangle to use my sword or launching people when I've not input a launcher. Did I miss something regarding this or is something fucky going on? It's really messing with my flow.
>3 nostalgiafags
NO DANTE DON'T DO IT!
KYRIE GET BACK INSIDE, NOW!
>5's story is almost exactly like 3 so I don't get why people are saying that 5's story is weak compared to 3
You answered your own question. DMC5's Vergil motivation just cheaply recycled his DMC3 motivation like he was a recurring comic book villain with a characterization reset button and there was no point to all the emotion delivered in the previous games. They decided to play it safe instead of trying any new way of justifying Vergil reappearing in the main plot. Even the fucking ending is essentially the same with Nero thinking about crying in turn, albeit less emotional especially since Vergil now has Dante to hang around with so it's not like they're even fucked like Vergil in DMC3's case. DMC5 in general sorely lacks great scenes and tighter character interactions like Lady&Arkham or Dante&Vergil since we're apparently required to have such a big cast with no time to develop anyone properly.
Really, they could've easily fixed it by landing the dad reveal to Nero much earlier in the story and focusing on it so there was more build-up to him finally meeting his dad and subverting it by deciding to prevent Vergil and Dante from killing each other. If they wanted to use Nero still being hung over Credo's death and lack of proper family as well they should've been brought up much earlier in the story than the very final mission. I mean as much as I hate Kyrie even she has more plot relevance in 5 in characterizing Nero than Lady or Trish who purely exist for fanservice, yet she doesn't even get a proper appearance.
Not him, but I tied with Vergil and still got that
Fuck bros, I just wanna play a trap summoner with a fit amazon warrior pawn, is that too much to ask?
Nero took it personally since he views Dante as a mentor and he was always looking for acceptance, especially considering how he was an outcast even in the Order. Being called dead weight by your mentor - and maybe even someone he considered a father figure at this point - would probably hit pretty hard
You know what's the best thing about hipsters begging for DmC2? You can tell them that they don't like 5 just because Dante doesn't have black hair.
How do I stop being garbage at Nero? I feel like I have trouble doing any combo besides the basic one.
What do you mean? Maybe you activated tomboy and didn't realise
That's my theory, we already know they don't have a problem doing DLC weapons.
What Trish said after that was more important : "You're a big boy, and you need to see this through. Dante's war." V basically said he recruited Dante to "right his wrong" and was going to dump his mess on him. After that line V starts taking responsibility. He starts looking for ways he could help, rather than ways Dante and Nero could help. We later see V state that he has a duty to see this through. Trish isn't a cunt, he needed tough love.
I think the all-time peak on Steam was like 80,000 or something (which was like 15,000 more than RE2 had) and that's not even mentioning the PS4 version which apparently is the one that has sold the best
Both Nico and Vergil called me a casual and I still got it so I must have only just meet the requirement.
If I die on a boss and choose "give up", do I restart the boss fight or do I restart the entire level and have to fight all the way back to the boss?
Nero can't handle the bantz from his uncle.
So 5 is gonna be my first time playing all the way through a DMC game. I played a bit of 1, 3, and 4 from the HD collection to get used to the combat and such. Should I start the game on Human difficultly and then move on afterwards to higher ones?
A Yamato shard opened a portal, read the prequel novel. drive.google.com
>I AM OMEGA
>Vergil's title is Alpha and the Omega
are they stealing each other's titles now
You can either choose to restart at a checkpoint, or restart the whole level.
They either give it to a B team and fuck it up or you'll have to wait until Itsuno is done with DD2.
god her voice is atrocious but i bet she fucks like a fighter jet
You restart at the last divinity statue, which are the lion statues. This is also why anyone complaining about breaking arms is dumb, because they're so frequent
Did you activate Auto by accident? Look under your orbs, you can disable/enable it by holding R3
so i have a general question involving style, im coming from platinum games and such and is it more effective to build style by getting long combos and staying in their air or do you get more style by using a varied amount of weapons akin to bayonetta
5 is actually more fun to play. It's the most fun game in the series.
it's been fully translated already?
damn, i didn't even know
thanks
When you fight virgil before he refuses with his emo half self "V"irgil
Tomboy
Someone fucking around with the fragments of Yamato opened a portal stable enough for Dante to pass through so he walked out
How do you guys feel about Dante's weapons?
I really like DSD and Cerb, and I really like Balrog but switching between the 2 forms is too easy to accidently do.
Cav I feel like I can't get the hang of and it feels too slow for me.
5 is better than 3 to be honest.
t. replayed 3 just before 5
you dont fuck planes
the door's this way faggot
no, start with the other one human is too easy
this was my first dmc too and switched to the other difficulty when I was at mission 10 and I'm having way more fun now
If you've never played DMC play on human, but I think you'll be fine on Devil Hunter
Aw fuck I'm an idiot. Thanks user.
Only for Amazon Japan on PS4 and Xbox.
>Nero was still sad about credo
Broos...
>Day 0 crack
>still becomes Capcoms second most popular game on steam
If the game is good it will sell.
You dont have to play like those tutorial videos on youtube where the guy pretends he is pulling off a simple combo but he is actually breaking his fingers in 4 different ways
Style builds fastest by mixing things up. Using different attacks, weapons, etc. Nero gets big boosts for using his Breakers and buster attacks, Dante gets boosts by swapping weapons and styles mid-combo. Repeating things will eventually stop paying off, even if it extends the combo.
>Dante's is just Omega
>Vergil is both Alpha and Omega
Based Vergil
I actually dislike DSD. I appreciate the concept but having your swordmaster completely pissed on by it just for diet summoned swords was a bit of a downer.
I think as long as it isn't a necessity I'd replace it with rebellion/sparda. Keep it simple.
Objectively they're all excellent and Dante has a fantastic depth to his character, but I just enjoy playing as Nero and his breakers way more
>credo
Who?
>beating Vergil as Nero without popping DT and finishing him off with a Buster DDT as he came flying at me
felt amazing
How does a fighter jet fuck like?
>he doesnt know
It runs in the family
>hurr Dante must defeat durr
>okay if I defeat Nero, I beat you by default, agreed?
>that after credits cutscene
>LEARN TO FUCKING COUNT DANTE WE'RE EVEN
Quickly and with repeated stops to refuel.
>all this talk about bonus endings
are they kill based like DMC3 or is it just not getting hit? people seem to be claiming to get them while tying or being out performed by the AI vergil.
DMC4 was to not let Kyrie get hit I think right? so I'm assuming its dont get hit for Nero and then maybe kill based for dante?
I wish 4 had an actual cutscene of them interacting
It's funny how a year old shitpost perfectly summed up the entirety of DMC5
I can't get over how weak Helter Skelter's break age is
After the ending credits stuff I had a hunch that Vergil would probably be playable in some capacity (though I assumed it would be DMC5SE) but I was hoping we'd get playable Lady and Trish a la DMC4SE too.
you better not be yanking my chain fucker
Quick, post your favorite Boss Fight!
>tfw didnt feel the need to rebind guns on dante or nero this time
should I still do it before muscle memory kicks in or what
sounds hot
It means that V Has Come To.
>default difficulty fun but way too easy
>cheese SoS prologue to quick unlock DmD for true DMC
>requires playing V again
This game was almost perfect
None of that DLC stuff is true
Vergil will be playable in bloody palace but no Trish and Lady
I recall someone saying Matt worked on DmC or something, that true?
POST YOUR FAVOURITE NERO LINES/MOMENTS
Gilgamesh, although it has flaws. Geyron Knight was fucking cool too, so was Artemis. Honestly all the bosses are my favourite really
Maybe it’s just me but I cannot fucking do any of the back to forward inputs reliably for some reason. In the previous games they were easy as fuck but I’m lucky to even do it twice in a row
It's the only thing he inherited from his dad, getting extremely fucking anally annihilated whenever Dante speaks.
Well Nero did just slug dante, so he figures the easiest way to put there sibling rivalry to rest for the moment since theres more pressing matters is to beat Nero. I mean you can tell by the tone of the scene and the way they're talking Vergil isn't intent on killing Dante or Nero, the fact he even says "if I beat nero it means I beat you" is essentially very much a joke, and the way dante replies, is just as much a joke "yeah whatever I'm sitting this one out." Dante and Vergil have then been having countless duels in hell now entirely for fun and we have no idea who's actually up in score, but they're clearly taking ti very lightly.
Cavalier was basically where the budget went and the Credo of the game. That vulture chick thing was a bit shit once you figured out the gimmick, but she was basically a better version of Gilgamesh who was a let down.
>no kick-13 in this game on balrog
sasuga itsuno
>I WILL NOT LET YOU DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>posting actual CP and didn't even spoiler it
MODS
No, DmC was NT with some Itsuno fixing their shit.
Matt was on Operation Raccoon City, MHW and a bit on RE2 remake
>try to do cool shit with him
>shadow just spergs out and does what it wants
>basically have to yin-yang the two demons because one will always need to drag you away from something to play at an effective range
I'm a little sad but I guess I'll just hope for more crap to be stuffed into the special edition.
the kick mode forward-swordmaster is basically K13 though
It's not just journos, either. I've talked to a lot of people who said they would like Devil May Cry, but they just can't beat it because it's too hard. Which is weird to me, because I never found the games all that hard, but whatever. I guess Capcom figured they should give an option for more casual players to get through the game. I didn't use any gold orbs, but I did continue from checkpoint a couple times going through the game on Devil Hunter the first time through.
>DMC 6
NO! DRAGON'S DOGMA 2! IT IS OUR TURN!
>Stop saying cry, if you say cry again...
>Devil May Cr- FUCK
WHO'S BRINING THE MARSHMALLOWS
does anyone have the edited version of this pic that has V?
IGNITE THE FLAME
is S the highest raking in a mission or is it possible to get SS and SSS?
Cheer up
Itsuno said he's stepping down from DMC after 5 regardless, even if 6 is a thing, Itsuno's most likely gonna be doing something else
The next game from Itsuno is either Rival Schools or DD2 don't worry, the man has said he plans on taking a break from DMC for a little while.
>Mission 5 as V on DMD
>Where did you learn to count!? We're even.
Holy shit, that finger point, I missed Dan
>Itsuno said he's stepping down from DMC after 5 regardless, even if 6 is a thing
No he didn't he said he'd be back for 6 but is chilling out from the series for a while.
You either get it by beating enough enemies in the credits fight scenes as Nero and Dante/Vergil or by getting the cheevo fot beating Vergil as Dante and Nero without using continues, i forget which one
>"You feeling accepting yet?"
>"Of your existence? Or your strength?"
>"Both you fucking asshole!"
I have done no hit with V and I still got a S
i've always found them hard to do consistently, dmc5 doesn't feel different so far
Gentlemen, I am here to say one thing and one thing only: Sparda. :)
How do you deal with crowds?
Whenever I try to combo something there is always some random mook that shanks me or snipes me from halfway across the field.
But if I try tread carefully I always get a shitty score.
It happens to me in dmc3, it happens to me in dmc4 and now it happens to me in dmc5.
I can't even imagine how annoying it must be on the harder difficulties.
If DMC6 comes out. Whom would you like to direct it
Tell that to /mlp/
Don't forget Dante had to absorb Sparda to get his true powers. I'm assuming that the fruit Vergil ate was equivalent to Sparda's sword in this case
Itsuno
Cannot unsee
WHY ARE WE STILL HERE, JUST TO SUFFER
I had the same problem until I tried to do the input really fast and it worked
Use based tomboy, aerial moves, Cavalier, focus on one enemy at first to think the ranks
I have a theory Sparda is Dante and Vergil father!!!
>go check nico's report
>select v
>switch variation
>"dying v"
fuck, i'm gonna miss this autist fuck.
Literally every character in the game has them in some form, male or female. It's basically the theme of the series.
>Dante and Vergil have their dead demon knight dad and they keep using his swords to try and kill each other. Vergil's issues are worse, though, as Dante's mostly over it
>Nero now has them because he knows who his dad is and it's weird to him.
>Nico's dad was a creepy scumbag that abandoned her
>Lady killed her dad, after killing her mom and trying to kill her. Oh and he tried to take over the world, too
>Trish doesn't technically have a father, but the closest thing is that asshole Mundus
Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out Morrison had some kind of father issue, too.
this game has singlehandedly saved Yea Forums since it was announced AND it lived up to the hype, holy shit
did I die and go to Heaven?
I wonder how much fun they had making those scenes
He only beat him because Vergil and Dante were already fighting before they got there. Even Vergil told Dante to rest and heal the first time. There's no way Nero is stronger than Dante or Vergil.
Thanks
She's not his mommy. What do want her to do, give him a big hug and tell him what a special little boy he is? If you're gonna fight go fight, if not go home, don't be a pussy.
Matt supervised by Itsuno
I just don't get V's endgame at all, or why the familiars used Dante to suicide in Mission 18. Granted, I had been up for 22 hours straight since the game went live, but I was paying as much attention as I could.
>if it turned out Morrison had some kind of father issue, too.
He's black, he probably doesn't even know his father
Did they really not let you change the currently equipped devil breaker without just destroying them until you reach the one you want to use, or am I phenomenally unobservant?
Vergil's entire thing is trying to one-up Dante because he can't get over anything.
>FUCK YOU!
They must have purposely been taking the piss with that one, and it's fantastic.
And where do you find that?
Is 4 still canon? I know 2 isn't anymore since it was so bad so I was thinking they might do the same with 4 for the same reason.
How the fuck do you survive King Cerberus's rain of small icicles?
ACTUAL DmC 2 directed by Itsuno
Dante even references "not in million years" during Vergil fight.
I bet Sparda's father was some insane shit
Be fast, don't get hit, keep your moves varied ( i think you can do three moves before you repeat the first again without style penalty, it was that way in 4).
>Don't you think that's a little much? Killing me because of the way I t-t-t-t-talk?
Who was the better boomer? Hobo Dante or Hyperautist Vergil?
especially woman, they laugh under nose often.
like she smirks all the time for eva cutscene
>pic related has some banter
>no subtitles
REEE
You're supposed to set them up beforehand in Nicos trailer, then to switch to the next one explode or use the special ability. It's only shitters that complain about this mechanic
does Judgement Cuts and leaves the scene of the crime and calls his son worthless
>The best game in the series is bad
You're weird one.
Also, most of 2 is canon.
Like this
youtu.be
>mfw got a D in both 19 and 20
At least I managed to buster Virgil as he flies towards me
>don't worry. I'll be gentle.
B-Bros?
Both Cavalieres. Vergil 1.
>dmc6
>no matt, no okabe, no itsuno
Nope.
This, ice mode feels fucking impossible, fire modes lunge seems to have a retarded hitbox too
Reminder that bringer knuckle has much more utility than exceed and shouldn't be used with every attack like exceed is used because the damage is so low on knuckle. It's a momentum stopper and adds a whole new layer of depth to Nero allowing for new and more interesting combos.
So, was she covered in slime in the pc version?
Maybe
Wait, if you beat the prologue on a difficulty, it unlocks the next?
Playing online lets enemies off-screen you. Play offline to keep them off camera. Cavaliere and Overture for crowds.
maybe you enabled auto-mode?
I failed both times and still got it, and definitely got hit as Nero at least.
Before they figure out what to do with DMC6, I want Capcom to remake DMC2.
Okabe said if the game sells well DLC and more content is coming. And it was after Capcom statement
there's the link for all interested. They talk about how they're hard at work on future DLC but to expect to get a full game out of the base game dengekionline.com
also
>Walker: “He goes, ‘Look, I want to make a DMC 5 or Dragon’s Dogma 2,’” Walker said. “To Kenzo’s credit, he goes, ‘You know what? Creators should be able to make what they want to make. So you decide. What do you want to do?’”
Post-Inafune Capcom is beautiful
Maybe I'm retarded, but is there any way to see the photos the game takes of the monsters the first time you kill them, or the premade boss photos and such at from the end of the mission?
Can't find them in the gallery.
how do i gid gud with donte?
i always think neros playstyle is better than donte after the switch from nero to donte
same in 4
>post yfw first time seeing judgement cut end
It's kill based for both. You need to kill the Hell Judecca as Nero.
If you managed to beat the prologue boss then yeah I guess
He says it in his normal voice instead of trying to sound cool.
Not happening, they'll at least supervise it even if Itsuno quit and does something else. Since Capcom ain't shit now I could trust someone new
Take it slow.
Max-Act son
Lady and Trish would be pretty worthless without major reworks, Lady especially with how upgraded Gunslinger is now, I'd rather they take their time with the inevitable DLC than rush them out ala 4SE.
This is nostalgiafagging of the highest order.
Pull your Sin Devil Trigger
>Focus on getting rid of long range fighters like Hellbat's first
>As Nero spam air attacks and wide sweeping moves like Red Queen 2, wire snatch lets you get some one on one time
>Cavelere as Dante gives super armor that resists style reduction
>Nightmare and Round Robin as V
When the fuck will Vergil pull something out of his ass and fuse Yamato to make the sword Vergil?
so glad that westaboo is fucking gone for good.
Yeah but the Max-Act timing is so fucking thin that you have to be God to get it right. I can't even Max-Act reliably practicing through DH and SoS mode
When he finds the Human Sword Eva
I might have the ultimate nostalgiafag post
>DMC ruined the action genre forever, I remember when action games took SKILL, like Ninja Gaiden and Contra. Now those were games, nothing since then has been able to touch those gods of the genre
I don't really get when people say the atmosphere/levels in 5 are too bland desu. I mean I can't FORCE people to like it, it's up to your own tastes and stuff but still. I can understand people criticizing the design of the levels themselves but I mean the atmosphere and the way everything looks. Even the more "bland" parts like the city/subway levels are aesthetic and gorgeous looking. The inside of the tree is cool, especially how it looks for the majority of Mission 8 when you're going for round 2 with Urizen. That part just makes me think of Hell. I think there was only like 1 level that looked kind of meh to me, I think it was the majority mission 4 as V.
trickster or royal guard
>tfw no playable lady
Centipede
now fuck off
Yeah, I turned it on without noticing.
I want DMC2 remade before we get DMC6. Let Itsuno fix it from the ground up whilst keeping the characters and plot but also expanding on it and everything else. Lucia needs to playable again and actually get a moveset that isn't shit.
DMC2 has some big untapped potential and I would love to see it done
is it worth to get the hat upgrade lvl 4?
500K is too much
so does that mean that dante and vergil can just walk out of the underworld at any moment using the yamato?
is that why they're chilling in the van in one of the menu scenes?
Level design of 5 shits all over 3 though, it's just nostalgiafags who think a game must be good because they played it when they were 12
He wont. That's not what Yamato does.
Yamato can separate powers, Rebellion absorbs. By stabbing himself with Rebellion while wielding Sparda Dante absorbed their powers and manifested DSD, but Yamato can only separate.
The scene is mirroring when Vergil stabbed himself with Yamato and separated his human and demon sides, Dante even wonders what Rebellion can do if Yamato could separate man from demon.
They are opposites.
Yamato probably starts out as a stronger blade, but the growth potential is not there, whereas Rebellion allows the wielder to gain power.
This is fun because Dante does not care for power in the same way that Vergil does, yet his sword is the one that absorbs and grants even more power, whereas Vergil is obsessed with power, yet his sword separates everything.
level 4 Faust shits out money like crazy. You can get the 500k back quick
That statement is weird to me since there's not really any AAA action games that are similar to DMC whereas Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden and MGR are much more alike.
Yes
I don't know if it was a conscious decision, but I love how Vergil stops doing his cool voice when they are in hell
>mfw
Eva's weapon should be a set of guns to trigger Vergil and as a Bayonetta reference. Specifically a set of guns named Cain and Abel.
If I am wrong about the fruit I'm wondering if Vergil can potentially be much stronger than Dante by getting that one last power up but I personally really hope that isn't the case since both are broken as fuck right now in terms of power
True, then again I can't comprehend the mind of the nostalgiafag enough to accurately mock them
It's the fucking nose man. I mean she still wouldn't be perfect but if the made her nose straighter and a bit smaller she'd look like 5 times better.
In general i really loved Dante's and Vergil's interactions in 5. That scene in pic related especially is fun as fuck. Dante is so damn happy.
I think Okabe will stay on with DMC while Itsuno inherits Matt as his token gaijin for DD2, but Itsuno will have a hand in 6 even if he isn't directing it. The real question is what happens to his team, does he take all of them for DD2? Yoshida especially would be a huge loss.
I'm pretty sure the familiars want to kill Dante for the shit that happened in DMC1 since they are bound memories of Nelo Angelo.
it's good for farming in mission 13
It is what it is. I wish people would look at each game for what they do differently instead of wanting them to play the same
>lol no dedicated dodge-button
>in a post-Bayonetta world
It's like people want everything to play the exact same.
Same here. I literally just explained why it'd be a good idea since they can actually turn it into a great game
Mundus ate the fruit centuries ago to become King in DMC1 in terms of lore stated in the novel.
It really says a lot when all Takeuchi has to do is sit back and let the devs do their thing and suddenly they're successful again.
What if Sparda's plan all along was to have the brothers fight so hard they end up in the demon world, where they cause so much damage the demons just stop trying to fuck with humans?
5000 IQ play from bug man
I'm fearing another fiasco like when Hashimoto directed Bayo 2.
The Toco Roco interview makes it seem like Matt is Itsuno's protege.
He will likely be a supervisor for DMC6 like Kamiya is supervisor on a ton of Platinum games.
Maybe Yoshida could take over as director? I dunno.
It's going to be extremely interesting to see how DMC6 turns out now that Itsuno is moving on.
That's also my problem with people wanting Nero to be able to switch breakers, it'll make him way too similar to Dante
You can tell they are genuinely happy. Inafune leaving really was the best thing to have happened to Capcom in a long time.
Nico's reports, enemy section. You can retake pictures for enemies if you don't like them and view the bonus boss pictures in their entries under the boss tab.
Does anyone have the picture of Patty? No idea where to find it in game and I'm curious how the REengine treated her
Oh I knew that. I meant in with the fruit being a replacement for Sparda so that he could merge with Yamato. I shoulda been a little more clear on that so my bad
>set online function to limited
>enjoy the mission alone
i haven't played it in multiplayer once
I agree with you, but I feel as though the Vergil motivation recycling was at least fairly justified this time. The vergil that stole Nero's arm was literally crumbling after years of dealing with mundus's corruption from 1. He just wanted to feel back to his old self so he could finally resolve his one loose end, so he tried cutting out his withering human side. The fact that his demon half was a memory-devoid monster that PURELY thought about getting more power was merely a consequence outside of his expectations.
It could've been handled better for sure, but for what it's worth, it's not a terrible way to set up V as a means to explore Vergil's character more.
Kino
It's a heartwarming family reunion after all
>When you're playing the credits and Vergil surrounds you with his summoned swords to killsteal
Mom said it's my turn.
That's a shame. Can't wait for the model to be ripped already.
>Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden and MGR are much more alike
How do you figure?
>picture of Patty
what? she never appears in-game.
To help Dante vent his frustration. Pay attention to the things Griffon says. Like when he says "We were spawned from Vergil's abominable thoughts, but you knew that already." He's telling Dante that he already knew V was Vergil, but all Dante would see was the monster. This whole mission mellows out Dante. That why his demeanour has already changed by the time he reached Vergil. He healed his wounds.
V's endgame was to atone for his sins. First by having Dante kill his demon half, and V would quietly die while Dante cleans the mess. He later realizes he needs to merged with his demon half to truly atone. He needs to fix his own mess.
Someone was claiming theres a pic of her somewhere on a splash screen or loading screen or some obscure shit
>Vergil listening the the Devil Trigger downtempo mix
I literally can't stop dicking around in the void
>>Yamato can separate powers, Rebellion absorbs. By stabbing himself with Rebellion while wielding Sparda Dante absorbed their powers and manifested DSD, but Yamato can only separate.
>>The scene is mirroring when Vergil stabbed himself with Yamato and separated his human and demon sides
>Yamato is used to seperate the demon world from the human world
>Dante even says this line pretty much verbatim to Nero in DMC4
>Vergil uses it to seperate his human side from his demon side
P O T T E R Y
But Vergil doesn't atone and promises Nero he's just gonna come back one day anyway.
