Fight me
but 4 was bad because you had to replay the same levels. This is unique to 4 because in the other games there is literally no reason to replay the game over and over and over and over just to unlock stuff so you can finally actually play the game
It's amazing how much zoomers love 4. Game was generally considered a boring disappointment after 3. Too safe, too soulless.
the only good things about 4 are the gameplay, Credo and Nero. real ranking is 5>3>DmC>4would be higher if it was finished
>the only good things about 4 are the gameplay
Why else are you playing DMC?
4 made you grind for fucking ever to unlock everything thanks to prices inflating each time you bought a move
fun bosses, soundtrack, characters, level design, music, etc. let's not pretend like the only reason 3 was considered the best all these years was solely for the gameplay. only retards think like that
stuff was definitely pricey in 4 but in SE you can get almost everything and 1 and a half playthroughs
when is someone going to upload the first chapter of the fucking V manga reeeee
to me it's 3>5>4=1>2>DmC, 5 is fantastic but my god does the levels get repetitive and uninspired.
5>1>3>4>2>DmC
I don't fight retards
3>5>DMC4 special>DmC definitive>4>1>DmC vanilla>2
Sick bait OP, here's the actual list
3=5>1>4>DmC>2
3 is the best by far. Anyone who disagrees deserves to be shot.
the levels are not destinct from each other in 5 like in 4
i dont even know where i was the whole time
3 is shit homo
no you are a retard so your opinon doesn count
anything 3 is a good game is a retarded opinion by a retard
Absolutely epic contrarian opinion
4=5>3>1=2>DmC
Bayo 1, 2 and Revengeance > any DMC
4 sucked, 5 is way better
5 > 4 = 3 > 1 >>> 2
thx but this is the common sense opinion
3=1>5>4>DmC>2
But 2 has the best Dante design.
I haven't played any other DMC, but I totally agree. A lot of the areas look beautiful, but it's painful how much they feel like just an excuse to get from point A to point B. A little soulless in that regard.
>but it's painful how much they feel like just an excuse to get from point A to point B. A little soulless in that regard.
That's every DMC.It's A to B.There's no optional bosses or optional routes whatsoever,it's a linear game that is hidden in some backtracking
This makes no sense since 3 was basically almost just like 4 only complete.
Gee, i dunno, for something fun to USE all that gameplay on?
For sure, and I also think you could make that argument about any linear game. I guess what I'm trying to convey is pretty subjective. It's one thing to be linear and another to build little to no atmosphere with your environments. They don't do much in bringing the world to life to me, they're just arena backdrops basically. That's fine, the gameplay is the strength, but it's hard not to notice, especially when levels are so short.
Ah I get it,there was some novelty in DMC 3 and to some degree in DMC1,the brother rivalry particularly is what made DMC3 so beloved(and the boss battle was kino)
Anyone saying 2>DmC has either not played 2, DmC, or both
Made right 4 could have been better than 3. Nero was a fresh take and Dante was made deeper and more complex than 3.
3 is just regarded as better because it was fully thought-out and made the gameplay closer to 1's while expanding it after 2 went off the rails.
I still think they haven't quite made the perfect DMC game, even after 5. 5 has insane combat variety but skips on the larger experience in favor of near-constant combat.
That sounds awesome. I'd heard about that through my buddies and it'd always made me want to play, but I never found the time. I finally took the dive with DMC5 and I'm enjoying it a lot so far. I'm pretty bad at it, but I'm starting to get more comfortable with Nero. V is..going to take a little more time. His summons are tough to control.
The series is simply flawed to the core,my favorite moments are plot moments but they keep making me go through hordes of mobs before you get a 1minute at best cutscene.the games have the structure of a RE1-2-3 game with picking up keys and items to unlock doors and progress and there's some backtracking here and there but it's more fast paced than a resident evil game so you go through the game in a very fast pace.I'm not saying they should do an open world game but they could do a game more like Nier automata when it comes to questing and opitional stuff
4 is absolutely awful, only people who played it first think its good. Combat is trash graphics are hideous soundtrack was disappointing half the game was unfinished, massive amounts of backtracking, have to fight each boss twice because of unfinishedness, dantes weapons were dog shit and the villians and plot were just plain bad
It's a really cool game gameplay wise,it gets to a point where you're dying for the 30th time on a boss but you're enjoying it because you are getting better and better, imagine dark souls boss-wise but without healing items(you can buy but they are expensive and you get to a point where you can't farm currency for them)
If your favorite moments aren't ones where you're styling on enemies and getting high scores in missions, the series probably just isn't for you gameplay-wise.
3>5>4>1=DmC>2
Don't get me wrong, I LIKE 1 more than DmC, but it's clunky. As shitty and shallow as DmC was, it's a smoother gameplay experience.
Anyway, DMC5 is great, but it's loose. DMC3 had fewer gameplay options, but it felt complete. Also the story in DMC5 feels fangamey, like it's trying to suck its own dick.
I don't see how anyone can rank 4 over 5 when 5 is a straight upgrade in almost every way.
>Nero kept all his moves and has a million new tools to mess with
>Dante has a much better weapon set that doesn't feel clunky as fuck when trying to chain them together
>better quality bosses all around vs DMC4's one good boss
>the story had an actual threat that Dante struggled against
>characters have their own levels
You can argue that DMC4 had better level design I guess. DMC5's level design took no risks and feels very tame and careful not to frustrate players. It could've used more platforming and verticality in general.
Same could be said about Virgil's route in DMC3
It was, when I was a kid and had nothing to do with my time but get S on the missions but nowadays I want something more than blind fun
What the fuck are retakes
>DmC
>Higger than anything
Even 2 was better. QUE TE JODAN!
1 = 3 = 5 > 4 > meaningless garbage > rest
When you kill the enemy for the first time after completing the game, there will be a photo of their defeat. If you don't like the photo, you are able to do another retake.
Holy fuck, why did no one tell me about Step Up? The game fucking changed into something amazing with it. FUck you.
1 is the best game but it requires you to appreciate things like enemies that actually require you to approach differently and exploration/atmosphere instead of the ADHD shit 3 and onwards catered to
If you look at the franchise as purely what 3 made it into then yeah, 1 isn't as good as the later games at what 3 made it into, but 1 is the better game.
>Fight me
I don't deal with the mentally impaired..
what's that?
3 = 5 > 4 = 1 > the rest
You know I'm right.
Finally some good taste. DMC1 is one of the best games in the series, if not the best
>Nero
Only thing you got right
>Dante was clunky
Off yourself casual
>Better bosses
What is houseplant? What is Gilgashit? What is Nidhogg? What is pussy bitch that ran away and can be countered like no tomorrow by everyone? What is Vergil fight rehashed for the third time but less kino stage and setting?
>Dante struggled
He bitchslapped Edge Virgil
He let Nero fight just cause he was tired
He and Virgil bitchslapped Nero like nothing after he fought without any rest
>Characters have their own levels
V level sucked and took 20% of the game.
It's just a DMC3 with less content but it has a better setting in my opinion.
...
>What is houseplant? What is Gilgashit? What is Nidhogg? What is pussy bitch that ran away and can be countered like no tomorrow by everyone? What is Vergil fight rehashed for the third time but less kino stage and setting?
Better bosses than anything in 4.
5>4SE>3>4>1>2
3>5>4>1>2. But theyre all top tier vidya besides 2. I never playes a DMC game until July 2018 and now its my favorite series
1 > 5 > 4 > 3 > DmC > 2
I liked them all except 2.
5>SE>DmC = 3>4 vanilla >1>>>>>>>>>>
Getting good with Dante doesn't make him less clunky. It means you tolerated and adapted to use his heavily flawed moveset and needed to invent glitches on the way.
>The first passive boss is better than anything DMC4
>Outed yourself as a streamfaggot that never played the games
2/10 effort
>DmC=3
5SE>1SE>>>DmC>>>
DMC1 is good but it's far too basic compared to the CUHRAYZEE of 3 and 5
>What is houseplant? What is Gilgashit? What is Nidhogg?
Even those 3 Bosses are better than any Boss of 4 (except Credo and Dante)
It makes up for that by having better level design and pacing.
1>3>>Its not up for debate, 1 and 3 have the best story, overall direction and feel.
