Play Divinity Original Sin 2
Play Divinity Original Sin 2
I finished it yesteday.
I really hate the battle system with those retarded shields everyone have. Not as fun as the first one.
I played it on release and had a good time. Didn't they make some adjustments later, along with nerfing lone wolf? I haven't played it since 100% it a week or two after it came out.
That looks retarded
FInally got a computer good enough to run it properly but then 2 days later they announced the Gift Bags shit so im gonna wait until they're finished with that
>pictured: every fight involving magic
I love the game but it does have some issues. The biggest was the baffling combat armor system, as someone else mentioned; armor only being vulnerable to magic or melee means that you're better off stacking your team to one type rather than putting in variety. They ought to have done it Mass Effect style, having lots of abilities that cross sides to chip away armor--they almost get into this with a couple, namely Chloroform, but for some reason that's about the only one that does. Should've had armor melting in fire tree, etc. Would've made combat a lot more tactical and fun rather than an endless damage race.
The other problem is the environmental effects. They've got a ton of really neat ones, but 95% of the time your screen is going to look like that screenshot, except with extra tentacles. Necrofire is both insanely easy to spread and very difficult to put out. You can bless it, but that just gets overridden the next time you do so much as sneeze at an enemy. Not to mention that in vanilla, bless takes source (!!) so you are effectively discouraged from ever using the damn spell. Better get used to having your dudes be on fire at all times.
Final problem is that everything after the Rivellon coast map is kind of lame and rushed, although they supposedly fixed the 3rd and 4th acts with that huge patch--I still haven't played it since then, so I can't speak as to the success.
Still, the strengths of the story, characters, and the non-necrofire parts of combat are all extremely good, to the point where I'd have no problem recommending it (as if there's anyone on Yea Forums who hasn't played it already).
The shield system is FUCKING BORING. makes every fight take an eternity.
I got used to the armor system pretty quickly but it did feel like it punished you for trying to have a versatile party and not stack 1 kind of damage. Yeah some foes had jack shit or no physical / magic armor, and a ton of the opposite, but those enemies seemed rather rare compared to the normal "has a bit of everything" armored foes.
>Necrofire
Please god no when I first started playing I had a potato PC and the fucking Necrofire strangled my frames.
What's the story of this WEBM
she danced on the security guard guy
he stands still the whole time
Nasty skank grinds on employee hoping for a reaction, is denied by someone who actually works for a living.
I must have picked up OS1 during a sale or something. Do I play Classic or Enhanced Edition? What's the differences?
Enhanced. Unless you want to do lone wolf + glass cannon and be broke as fuck, I guess. The differences are mostly balance changes.
I’m essentially stuck in this game. I’m on Reapers Coast and have a bunch of quests in Blackpit and other places but he problem is that the moment I engage in any fight, it turns into a massive neverending swarm of void spawn or it’s just overpowered sourcerers who have 20 minions that regen his health and try to kill you. I have like 4 other paths/missions I can try to take but they all involve some insanely outnumbering fight. So now I am stuck and I basically can’t advance because all the fights are way too one sided against the AI.
I like the game and want to love it but sometimes I question the design choice of some of these fights. They seem unnecessarily dragged on for too long or overpowered.
Even the fight with Alexander and that Void Worm seemed too Overpowered and I had to cheese it a bit by letting the worm do damage on them while I hid.
*too one sided against the player
i really want to like this and the previous game, but the setting, the story, it's just plain boring and unappeling to me; it's the only rpg that i cant get involved into and i dont understand why it's offputting to me. How do i get into it?
That man is thinking of his wife so hard in that moment.
You're supposed to cheese everything in DOS2, the whole game is balanced around min-maxing and exploits.
I tried playing Dragon Age Orgins for the first time yesterday, and boy let me tell you... That game did NOT age well. I did not get sucked in by the world, story, characters, music, etc at all. It was just boring.
Having said this. Will I like DOS2?
I don't get the hype behind these bioware games. The gameplay is always fucking terrible, everything feels clunky as fuck, Origins for example has a bunch of choices that change fucking nothing and give you the illusion that they do and they already feel dated right out of the get go.
DAO's strength is in it's story, DOS2's strength is false nostalgia.
Enhanced added tons more voiced dialogue, balanced everything, redesigned environment effects so they're less taxing, and refined parts of the story. Play enhanced
>Never touched the Divinity universe or any of the previous games
I'm a lorefag so starting with this game is ballocks and I'm too lazy to play the previous ones.
Thanks, sounds quite straightforward.
I played the original Divinity and I can't tell you the plot.
What story? It seems like the most generic fantasy plot they could imagine.
Also the dialogue choices do not fit the narrative very well and the other characters barely react to them.
I would but it's too expensive for my neet ass
also, it's not a game I'd want to play alone
I quit both my attempted playthroughs mid-end game. On classic it became faceroll.
On tactician min-maxing just leaves you with a bunch of near identical chars in the late game, as you will be abusing the same set of purely magic or physical skills to stunlock enemies for long enough to chip away at their massive health bars - thanks for that retarded shield system.
Sorry but the story in Divinity is fucking bottom of barrel garbage. So no.
D:OS1 is something something, void bad, you good. You can go through 2 without knowing anything about 1.
is 2 really that better than 1? I lost interest while playing 1
I managed to beat 1 because I found the story slightly interesting, but dropped 2 since I didn't like the plot.
