anyone know of some underground indie gems I can play
Underground indie gems
...
this is not an adult request
anything by mogeko
Oneshot
their games look good I think I will give them ago sometime
remember:
The Gray Garden
"Oneshot"? More like...
Fight'n Rage. Probably the beat'm up with the deepest combat system ever.
thanks user for the order. I was going to start with mogeko castle but i'll start with the grey garden then
Undertale
No, it's a manchild request.
ehm... no I was talking about how good they are.
The order is:
1) MC
2) tGG
3) WatGBS
oh now I get what people on other boards meant when they keep mentioning how toxic Yea Forums can be.
seriously it's just a request chill it's not harming the board or anyone.
oh that makes sense. so mogeko's castle truly is the way to start
undertale is to mainstream for it to be gem it's just more like a platinum bar of metal out in the open
Zeroranger if you would count shmups
The whole game is underground
>Zeroranger
all genres are welcome, also that visual style looks so good. the orange and blue theming really compliments each other nicely
Fight n' rage
now I feel stupid for not getting the joke.
nice one user
fight n' rage looks super good i'll have to also check this one out, it reminds me of an underground fighting game I used to play as kid called "little fighter"
Just be prepared for enlightenment
You should play all the other popular RPG maker games too. Space Funeral, Yume Nikki, Middens, Misao, etc. Also check out vgperson's site. Tons of stuff in there.
Not really underground, but Trine 2 is worth picking up along with the DLC. Skip the others.
my body is ready for it
I have played a yume nikki, I love that game so much I want to make something like it one day but not copy anything from it in rpg maker. I have also played some lisa: the painfull. but I have yet gotten around to playing the others.
i'll have a browse through that site and see what catches my taste
>Trine 2
that depth of field is amazing for a platformer game I really love it when devs put the effort into backgrounds in platformers to really make the world feel a live even if you are just going to scroll past them.
here are the ones I enjoyed playing:
>Odallus: The Dark Call
>Mad Father
>Sanctuary RPG
>The Desolate Hope
>Unepic
>The Count Lucanor
>Pony Island
more known ones:
>Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
>Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
>Iconoclasts
>Death's Gambit
Rochard
Life Goes On
Mute Crimson +
Tinertia
Bot Vice
Ace of Seafood
Tadpole Treble
Slime-san
Super Inefficient Golf
Devil Engine
hehe the art style of sanctuary rpg sure is unique it caught me off guard.
bot vice and slime-san look like my cup of tea when it comes to visuals
Top tier taste
ZeroRanger is the most recent indie gem i played
iji
The final boss can adapt to what move is hitting you more and place it on higher priority.
Iji 2 fuckin wen reimar
Tale of Wuxia. It's a chinese martial arts 'WRPG' with hex combat but also walking around, minigames and a training stat raising sim like thing.
Translation is slightly dodgy but perfectly fine for 95% of the game, unique setting, good characters, a lot of effort went into the setting. It's definitely worth giving a go if this sounds even slightly like something you'd be interested in. I think it slipped under the radar largely because of the translation, but again, it's actually pretty fine beyond the occasional odd slang thrown in and one or two minor scenes that are much lower quality than the rest.
I exclusively play low playerbase indie games.
What are you interested in?
Not him, but I'd like something like Daggerfall
after seeing these i'm moving zero ranger up onto my playlist I think I will start it this week
It's dead, bro
You might like Morrowind
Deadbolt, the other game made by the risk of rain guys
i love rpg games, i also love story based games and a bit of puzzle games if i'm in the mood.
also comfy chill games which you can just relax and sometimes play without to much thought like katamari or harvest moon.
i also like virtual pet rasing games.
>story based games and a bit of puzzle games if i'm in the mood.
Orphan was good, so was The Station but it is quite short.
>comfy chill
Popular, but Yoku Express.
Give your most obscure horror games that have combat* and exploration.
*must not be turn based.
Do it, the game also integrate the looping stages that a, lot of shmups have into the story, yes it has a story (and a good one at that).
