If you want people to hire your pawn make her a cute loli

dont be afraid to switch vocation a lot
dont have more than 1 female pawn because they will all have the exact same voice

make your party 4 fighters
carry potions and a magic sword
explore
give your pawn a lamp

Wolves hunt in packs
Beware the harpy song
All roads lead to Gran Soren

Don't do that one guys escort quest when you first get to the big city.

Stop looking for tips, close this thread and just go play it.

set your pawn personality at the first camp you find. utilitarian is best

Play what class YOU want to play. Don’t listen to any of these fags. Trust me it’s way more fun that way.

You're starting build doesn't matter very much. The key thing is to recognize which classes benefit from magic attack.

>physical classes: fighter, strider, warrior, ranger, assassin
>magic classes:mage, sorcerer, magic knight, magic archer

So playing a fighter for 30 levels will not set you up to play sorcerer, but will be good enough for physical classes. Mage for 40 levels doesn't set up a good warrior, etc. The 2 exceptions are magic knight and archer. They're both predominately magic, but they do gain a little bit more out of physical stats then mage or sorc. I also highly recommend making your pawn a straight tank first time around. Always try to have a balanced party first playthrough

>2 melee
>1 magic
>1 ranger/strider/assassin

On a personal note, bow+dagger classes are my favorite to play, followed by sorcerer, then magic archer.

When buying weapons, pick any you like. They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

Yes, start in Hard mode and don't look back. The game is way too easy.

youtu.be/OTNfuztCMgM

The game is fucking fantastic but the first hour is super boring don't you fucking give up on it in that first hour. I'm sorry they carry the wagon so slowly it infuriates me too but don't you fucking quit.

hard mode breaks the game and makes it easier because of how fast you level and earn gold.

play on hard
look for a guide if you want to romance the brown tomboy, ending as just friends its pretty easy if you dont read a guide

It only breaks the game vs humans bosses and mobs, but dragons, demons and etc still put up a decent challenge.

I disagree. There are times when you will just randomly find a brick wall that is inclined to not only stop you in your tracks but fall on you and nearly oneshot you, like the bandit that rolls the boulder down at you between the main road and the bandit castle. More of that is frustrating and not worth. Also, Drakes will fucking murk you even on Easy mode, if you're not some overleveled bitch.

The DLC is pretty much unplayable unless you min/max

Attached: 8941BA81F52A47C18C6E117FB786FA76.jpg (720x1280, 158K)

Literally the same thread as you made Friday

Attached: 1488447805728.png (497x494, 252K)

that's because the combat system is secretly ass and Yea Forums is too busy doing gymnastics on cyclopes to notice

fuck i wish i had abs like that

You should have gotten Dark Arisen instead. It's literally the entire base game with bug fixes and slight buffs to classes and abilities that needed it as well as the BBI dlc which arguably the game isn't worth buying without.

Attached: Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen.jpg (616x353, 56K)

>The DLC is pretty much unplayable unless you min/max
is this true?

He probably did but the vanilla game case looks better so he just posted that image instead.

Yes I played through the first time during a new game + play through and it was a big mistake to make. Once you get near the end of the game be careful because once you reach the end of the vanilla story it launches you straight into a new game +

It's absolutely wrong, there's no minmaxing required, just don't play like a retard and pack lots of healing items. Also don't trust any chests.

If you play as a warrior class it's unplayable

Id say so, i mean you dont have to be an autist with your build but if you fuck it up you will have a lot of trouble with some Bitterblack Isle bosses and even normal enemies, just get a guide, dont listen to those who say you should go in blind, who the fuck enjoys playing a game 294 times just to get it right and then have some feeling of superiority over guide users

I've literally beaten BBI with Warrior class, what the fuck are you smoking?

no you just need good items and good enchants
holy is best element against most things

Buy a better sword you stupid nigger.
That wall wasn't built there for no reason, and it's not like you have no way to get around it.

Strange, I beat it as a warrior

You were fooled by Yea Forums the game is shit and I will explain why:

>No indication of where roads lead
>No hint to what enemies are weak to
>No hint of when enemies are alone or in groups
>No warning to avoid status effects
>No clue to which items are masterworks

I don't know how people defend this game.

that wasn't me but i do remember seeing a thread on friday about this game, that made me want to get it.

When you make a pawn try to get guardian as low as you can. It's not a big deal if you're both fighters, but if either of you are mages it leads to the pawn standing around doing nothing. That and it keeps your pawn from getting hired

No, it's essentially end-game content. After you finish the game you should be ready to tackle it.

"Warrior is completely useless" is my favorite meme from DD threads

Maybe I'm just retarded but that looks fake as all hell

the village leader? What the fuck were they thinking?

>Side quests come and go depending on how far into the main quest you are, and you can miss out on entire quest chains by missing a single side quest you'd never know about without checking the wiki. Basically if you care about side quests, check the wiki.
>Don't assume that you absolutely *need* a support pawn because they have the only healing spell in the game. Food is usually plentiful, and abilities like grapnel are arguably a much more valuable part of the mage's kit.
>Don't listen to aughtists who tell you that you have to spend the entire game playing a vocation you don't want to play just to have optimal stat gains. It pays to multi-class a bit for the right set of augments, but otherwise just play what you want and you'll be fine.

Just farm a bit for better gear before go in too deep, good gear is more important than stat gains.

It's a load of bullshit. Just have endgame gear and you should be able to comfortably pass BBI.
Stats are near irrelevant to your character and become more irrelevant as you level up and get better equipment.

>be in BBI
>be in the room with two chained gorecyclops
>”can we leave them be... please?”
>figured we can take one at a time so started hacking on one’s knees
>it gets unchained
>herewego.jpg
>can’t find my other pawn
>he’s fucking slicing the other one’s toes
>it got free
>holyfuck.png
>literally all four us are getting flung over the room
>finally got to kill one
>suddenly the screen goes black and white and a weird noise
>a motherfucking cursed dragon plops down

It took me about 40mins but goddamn i never had so much fun.

- Let the little girl win the race, but don't make it too obvious. Make sure you do everything else she asks for, as well.
- Give the Golden Idol to Madeleine, not Caxton. Armor/Clothes scale forever but weapons get replaced.
- If you want to prove Fournival's innocence, you need to submit every affidavit that proves him innocent, and not submit any that prove him guilty.
- Change vocations whenever you want but for the early and mid-game you want either balanced stats or to specialise in Physical/Magical - if you straight from 30 levels of Mage to Fighter, you will suck. Later on your stats don't matter so you can switch with no repercussions. The main reason to switch Vocations is for Augments, not stats.
- Legion's Might is the best staff for Mage Pawns
- Arisen's Bond doesn't guarantee the effect.

>Don't be a min max fag
>Save Quina before doing Hydra escort mission
>Don't do Dark Arisen stuff until after Everfall or you'll become broken early

Don't listen to people suggesting hard mode for the first play-through it can get really frustrating dying so easily early on.

Play hard mode on your second play-through.

Search up on the wiki how to train your pawn this vital to get genius pawns instead of retard pawns (like mages running into melee and climbing cyclops)

Yeah, don't.
It's fucking jap garbage. There's LITERALLY 2 inches of letterbox on the screen, because apparently weebs don't have the technology to make a game fill the whole television. It's truely awful. Fuzzy too.

What would the tags be for a doujinn of this scene.

That's means everyone on Yea Forums already played the game!

This has not been true for years. The re-releases are all direct MT Frameworks PC ports without any of 360/PS3 baggage.

Good job outing yourself as having a worthless opinion.

I really need to do more sidequests on my third run of the game. I pretty much only did Troublesome Tome, Chasing Shadows, and an escort mission my first time, and even less of them my second. The Quina and Selene stuff seems interesting.

>Game is unoptimized garbage
>Yeah you're right that it's unoptimized garbage! But don't worry after 5 years they patched it!
Are you autistic? Do you hug your weeb pillow before beddybye every night?

Im at youtube.com/watch?v=a1VexhBVBo4
fought this exact troll twice and died each time before i could kill him. im barely chipping at his health. Is this a game where i have to grind or what

I hug you

Trick him into drop kicking you over the ledge and kill him that way

>This game was shit at launch so it will always be shit
Going through life with his miserable attitude must be pretty shit.

This poster's favorite game is Anthem
This poster's second favorite game is Star Wars Battlefront 2
This poster's third favorite game is Diablo 3
Change my mind.

go buy some hand grenades in cassardis and then just spam them at him
explosives beat nearly everything in DD, they just cost money

You're just very low level. Also Trolls in particular are good about getting you off their back with that backwards fall so your best source of DPS against them is risky as a Strider. Your first Cyclops will probably be somewhat easier as they have a harder time getting you off them, and you can shoot an arrow in their eye to blind/stun them for a moment first.

Two tips:
1. You can use curatives from the quick-inventory menu at any time; use Stamina-replenishing items while holding on to monsters so you don't get exhausted like that.
2. Buy some arrows from the apothecary Camilia in Gran Soren. Poison, Oil, Blindness, and ESPECIALLY Blast. You just "Use" them in inventory and every arrow you fire will be of that type until you "Put Away" or run out.

Never thought about breaking a fall with a monster before though, fun end to that fight.

So basically you want your hand held. Fuck off back to Skyrim then. This is why good action RPGs are in decline. Fucking massive faggot.

>Poorly optimized
>while it ran on my shitty laptop 60fps 720p that cost cheaper than a PS3

I know this is bait, yet I feel compelled to take it. There's a joke in there, play the game to find out, fag.

what kind of person asks for tips before even trying the game once themselves? have you ever achieved anything on your own in your entire life?

not my video i had just happened to find it
you got any tips for playing as a fighter

hey, fucker
it's MY job to post that copypasta!
it doesn't bait any retards if you post it more than once!

Best starting class is a strider becuase you get good stamina growth early, and both meele and ranged attacks to switch up your playstyle. Don’t play a mage/sorcerror until later in the game sincce thats when they get the really fun spells.

>until later in the game
You have to level up that bitch anyway to get the spells and mage sorcerer is powerful throughout

Fighter is really straight-forward. Your skills will mostly be about getting to enemies and just doing damage. Get your Core Skills so you can get your Sword pause combo, it does a lot more damage and can launch small enemies which gives you time to run up and do more. Burst Strike is a gap closer, Full Moon Slash is crowd control, Shield Drum aggros enemies, Springboard lets you send your pawns high into the air if that's useful for their vocation. Learn your parry timing on your shield as well, and get skills that improve that.

If you end up not liking the shield but liking the sword, then move to Assassin once you get Hybrid vocations, since you can use a bow instead and you get more Primary skills. If you really like the shield but find the sword too basic, Mystic Knight has really big shields and enchants them with elements to augment perfect blocks. If you just want to slam into shit and get big damage then Warrior is there, but it's a bit gimped compared to every other vocation because it only gets 3 skills instead of 6. Otherwise, you can clear the game as Fighter without much issue.

Is archer fun? I played as sword and shield warrior and dropped the game around the time you get to the big city and now i want to try play it again, but don't wanna start as the same class again.

>do Pride Before a Fall as my last quest before endgame
>Receive Mercedes' blade
>Give her Cloudwine to ease her sorrows
>Eventually go after Grigori
>Mercedes is my captured beloved
>Rescue her and face the dragon
>Slay him with her sword
>Get it Dragonforged
>Meet back up with Mercedes and let her succ on big fat Arisen titties in front of my pawn and a dozen Gran Soren soldiers
>Instead of going back home to her father who doesn't even remotely respect her, she just lives in Cassardis now, free to drink all the Cloudwine she wants
I love my drunkard She-Goat wife.

Attached: 1551293376621.jpg (788x838, 170K)

if an NPC you don't particulary like starts to develop a pink haze around his/her head when you talk to them, you should probably throw them around / punch them a bit until it goes away.

Ranger is, by debate,
one of if not the most powerful classes in the game

Strider and Ranger can both be fun. Strider gets more Dagger skills, Ranger gets more Longbow skills, although you can't change vocation until you reach the city and are Level 10. If you liked the sword but not the shield then there's also Assassin which gets the ability to run Sword + Bow and has some unique skills like being stronger at night/when undetected and moves like a melee counter and an explosive you detonate remotely.

the princess dress only compares stats to a single armor slot while taking up multiple, it's trash and your pawn deserves to be brined if you use it

their kind ill likes fire, arisen

>Actually using those sets and not just admiring them on occasion while they're in storage
Madeleine's set looks better than the dresses anyway.

people told me not to use dlc items on my pawn but i don't know what items are dlc

>tfw my favorite class is fighter
I just love playing as generic melee knight. I like armor, I like swords and I like the shields the fighter has.

Attached: 1545044674788.png (960x800, 117K)

Make your character max height and weight so they can't get knocked down as easily.

Honestly the big-ass shields were what turned me off of Mystic Knight at first. I hated that all you could do with it for the first several vocation ranks was just enchant it with an element that does extra damage on a parry. Recently tried it again and I like it a bit more now that I have Demonspite and the ability to enchant all my weapons (and my pawn's) with an element.

I can't tell if Perilous Sigil is good or not. It might need the other Sigil that vacuums enemies in but I rather like the jumping strike and Magick Cannon on my other slots. Might put Full Moon on that input instead for better crowd control.

Why does the Warrior vocation only have 3 skill slots? Fuck off.

An oversight, basically. All other physical vocations have two weapons with three skills apiece but Warrior only has one weapon.

I hope the likely sequel takes notes from DDO's Warrior class. Having a core skill be just tanking attacks to build up a massive revenge strike is just what it needed, and having access to the same number of skills as the rest of the classes doesn't hurt.

Its not necessarily too hard, but it's definitely not fun. I slogged through most of it with a shitty char and just got bored. I came back with a min/max faggot and it was fun/fast paced.

make all of your characters cute little girls for maximum fun times. dont make your pawn after your girlfirend like my friend did unless you want to get put on blast when your boy hires ya girl.

Love the game but it's no masterwork.

You will RETRACT those words, Sir!

Attached: 1549863179009.jpg (1274x606, 78K)

holy fuck you suck.
drakes are the pussies of dragonkind, bring an ice weapon, or a sorc with gicel

Fire works well!

meh, going in from level 1 feels pretty great, you just need to equip the first weapon you drop, whatever the vocation.
oh and bring thrownblasts

Full moon slash has I-frames. Best exploit for fighter classes

>Actually allowing the wind to push you

uninstall and play something better

>mfw dragon's maw
that alone makes it awesome as well
I find that it is kind of symbolic to use against daimon, an attack with power equal to the dragon

Trolls are actually much weaker from ice than fire. Have a pawn with Frigor or better a wizard with Gicel. Fire burn is just dps but you'll get wrecked when it starts to grow angry. Ice stuns them for a while and Frigor has a good stagger/knockback while a decent freezing vulnerabilty it also

"If victory is elusive, seek new allies. Where that fails, seek new foes."
Basically, you don't have to fight everything, sometimes just avoiding enemies early on is the best choice. Pawn chatter is a great, subtle way to learn basic tips about the game.

Attached: Papl4aE.jpg (1440x1524, 785K)

Armor and outfits that you haven't bought, but are in your storage chest once you reach Gran Soren.
You can sell the monocle for a shitton of money early on

Attached: 1504618494200.jpg (500x703, 96K)

Is this saved on your desktop or something?

>tfw take that money and buy grenades to farm the skeletons the wight summons by the greatwall for easy level ups and more money earned than invested each run
So busted
I always do that first to get all the money I could want and max out the vocations before doing anything except getting to gran soren

I'm not into NTR, sorry my cuck friend

WALKING BONES THAT MOVE ON THEIR OWN

but she's not your waifu, she's your PAWN. You're the PIMP. Think about your waifu Fournival

i have an entire folder dedicated to copypasta

game was boring, played like 10 hours then quit
don't know why, it's just boring

it isn't for everyone
you don't need to justify yourself my m8

Well, then. Carry on. And thank you for being a vital part of our community.

>it isn't for everyone kiddo

Attached: 1545228441462.gif (320x287, 39K)

I mean it is generic advice
you should know that already

I don't think he's gatekeeping or anything. The game really is one of those that either clicks with you or doesn't. I think the first time you face a Griffon is probably the best litmus test for if you'll like the game or not (unless you chose a vocation you hate for some reason).

>it either clicks or it doesnt bro

Attached: 1497206640202.png (327x137, 57K)

care to explain what's wrong with that

>"I don't like game"
>"That's okay"
>"No it isn't"

Try all vocations, most of them are very fun.

>heehee mommy look I frogposted again so that they all know I'm a newfag who jumped on the bandwagon in 2016

>the boulder
You can see it coming a mile away.
>drakes
Drakes are endgame enemies you mong.

Holy fucking shit, literally get fucking good.

>frogposter
you know, nevermind, this isnt worth it

if drakes are killing you then your hubris is the problem
Pawns literally say, "There is no shame in fleeing, Arisen. 'Tis survival."

Not true.
Of course you need a solid build, but min maxing is never required.

You were fooled by Yea Forums the game is shit and I will explain why:

>No indication of where roads lead
>No hint to what enemies are weak to
>No hint of when enemies are alone or in groups
>No warning to avoid status effects
>No clue to which items are masterworks

I don't know how people defend this game.

Imagine Skyrim.
Now remove everything that isn't combat, and make the combat just slightly better.
That's DD

Sure
I have a solid build to deal with all situations -
either 4 demon periapts or 4 conqueror periapts :>

You do, there's just a layer of fat on top of them you fatass

Don't get hung up on having the "best" pawns. Yeah you'll probably want to balance out your party but its more about their spells and battle knowledge

You can't have more than one pawn because the online is down.

No, but you need to buy 999 periapts from Fournival to stand a chance.

one day I will be able to obtain abs

Really wish people wouldn't falseflag shitpost in an attempt to keep DD threads alive. I'd rather the threads have dignity and die comparatively early than be a long-lived shitfest.

Attached: Dragon's_Dogma_-_Hold_Break01.png (324x392, 374K)

Should've gone to vg then before it died

You can still hire pawns offline, they'll just be randomly generated ones from the game itself.

Attached: a75ndlk3295ngh.png (1922x1076, 1.89M)

wait did they really take online away
what the fuck

The servers have been down for a couple of days but the devs claim they're working on it.

I did, that's why I miss the /vg/ threads. I'm just happy we have one every few days/a week or so here.

Attached: 1439652568245.jpg (600x800, 294K)

I played it. Got bored when I hit the city. I don't get why this game is so acclaimed here. It's just some janky rpg.

Attached: .jpg (653x434, 36K)

Switch port and the Itsuno interviews about his want to make a sequel and how the CEO was okay with it even before DMC5 should fuel threads for a while.

The more I learn about DDO the more I want it localized though, especially so we can get something while DD2 gets its time.

is DDO worth signing up to try, i keep thinking about doing it despite no being able to speak moon.

because they're masterworks all
But really though, you're misunderstanding the type of acclaim it gets. It is acclaimed as one of the best ''flawed'' games there is
There's many problems with it but it still manages to be alright

It's a shame that most people stop when they hit Gran Soren because that's basically the end of the Prologue. I do get that just walking from Cassardis to the outpost with Rook, making a Pawn, and fighting some goblins/bandits/harpies isn't all that impressive. The game really shines once you're fighting more powerful monsters with High-Rank Vocation skills and utilizing the climbing system.

Apparently it's not hard to learn if you don't know moon but it also boots non-Japs out pretty fast.

Before I had played the game, I was in a DD thread and took this advice seriously. I've 100%d it now but its funny to look back on

I'll give it another shot once I get through this month's games.

Pretty sure DDO won't get localized unless Capcom feels absolutely sure a large western audience will be guaranteed. I always hope to be proven wrong someday though.

Attached: 1452479764215.jpg (1120x1008, 1.04M)

>tfw just wanna try the lance
fuuuck

youtu.be/Cmou3WU72Qo
So how do you think will DMC5 influence DD2?

I've seen people say they should add a new vocation based on V that's about fighting alongside an animal familiar. I think DDO will be a greater influence though; some things that game does with the vocations should either be ported to them in 2 (like everything about Warrior), and the DDO-exclusive vocations could have their stuff fit into the original's or made into new ones that are tweaked to no longer be MMO-style.

I miss my /ddg/ boys

Don't stress about side quests unless you're actually having fun walking back and forth from A to B.
Most "kill x" will automatically complete as you go forward.
You unlock fast travel as you go through the game.
Don't start on hard mode

Does DDO have cool new shit in it? Only thing i know about it that it's never gets translated

Stop eating so much sugary shit and lose weight

I only eat cock, fag

Most of the vocations are new outside of Fighter, Warrior, and Sorcerer. They made separate dedicated vocations out of Daggers and Bows, there's Priests who are dedicated healers, Alchemists who basically do DMC shit, and then a few vocations that I don't know much about like "Spirit Lancer" and "High Sceptre". I assume that "Shield Sage" and "Elemental Archer" are just MK and MA with tweaks.

Hope you like backtracking

shield sage is a tanking spec that relies solely on countering with the shield (so yeah kinda)
they're primary weapon, aside from the big ass shield, is a wand which I think is interesting

You could technically run Staff+Shield as MK in the original but I saw no point to that. I honestly would've liked to run Sword + Staff for maximum offense, but I guess Demonspite will do.

I played it on release the joke is you are a stupid fucking nigger.

not even technically
you in fact, could.

I said that since he said that that weapon combo was interesting even though you could use it in the original. It is novel since it's the default for that vocation, but not new.

The wand in no way performs like the staff at all

I didn't realize you meant a different kind of weapon entirely. I barely know anything about DDO besides Warrior changes and crazy Alchemist gameplay.

Okay now I've never played this game before, but I do know that there comes a time in the game where you get into a relationship with said character but telling me to punch them to get rid of it to avoid this is useless without telling me how long I have until the spoiler goes into effect because it will still be random, so you you should probably just spoil it because I don't see how there's anyway to prepare for it with out being told.

> Not having all the money you need from playing Hard mode already.

Jesus christ you're a sensitive cunt

Don't be dense
we all know hard mode gives you money
this is just an extreme way to farm money and exp fast

Has anyone tried World Difficulty 2.0 yet? I need to mix up my next run.

I heard the game is pretty easy to get onto, even for an english only speaker.

It's a well known pasta that gets posted in every DD thread. The answers to these questions you will hear 100 times every single play session if you have pawn chatter on. That's the joke. Take a deep breath.

Attached: 1549088227745.jpg (240x280, 40K)

jesus christ get a brain moran

WOAH HOLD ON

I haven't played the game in some time, but is the mage staff a secondary weapon or primary weapon?

Basically I need to know: Can I make a spellsword, sans shield? How viable would this be?

Fuck it you know what I'ma do it anyways, even if I have to keep switching back and forth between staff and sword, and the lighter end of MK armors provide little help.

the staff is a primary weapon so no swords
but the magick knight's shield is a secondary so you can have a staff + shield
the magick archer's bow is also a secondary so you can have magick bow + staff

OH you said sans shield. My b
But nah, you can't have both on at the same time. Even with mods. But like you said you can just keep switching

>tfw playing Dark Arisen on PS3 because money is too tight to get it on PS4 and no gaming PC
>mfw letterboxing and sub 30 fps
I'll pull through

Attached: nothing to baby about.png (375x355, 194K)

I had the same thought as you did, user. Was hoping dinput allowed for a Sorcerer to wield a Sword as a secondary or enable rolling to no avail.

Warrior is a chore to play.

Attached: tfw Warrior.jpg (840x623, 85K)

playing video game is a shore :

There's a reason it's usually considered a "pawn class".

The magic-users are also usually "pawn classes", but strangely enough, they are actually fun and engaging to play as, instead of most games where warriors are fun and magic is boring.

Still can't believe they only give you three input slots for Warrior.

>he doesn't do all his runs as either a loli sorceror or loli warrior
if I wanted to play tenfold blast arrows ezmode I'd just cheat

Do you think DD2 is next on Capcoms list?

I don't even think it is on a list
I think it is on a ''we might put it on the list''

It's next on Itsuno's list after DMC5 is wrapped up (or he might start it during DMC5's tail-end). He wants to make fighting games again but Dragon's Dogma is his baby more so than even DMC.

Jajajaja noice.

Set your pawn yourself. Make it be the same class as you at first; your pawn copies your play-style so when using a base job it´s a good idea to set it exactly as you. At least it is if you are a decent to good player. A pawn that´s helpfull and doesn´t die all the time is a better rental too and will come back with better items too.

Also, remember that your stat growth depends on your class. So think about what job you ultimately want and play the intermediate ones for the stat growth... if you want a magic archer i think it was assassin and sorcerer. Granted, you can totally skip this step if you want since BBI equipment will just take care of things (if you manage to get your hands on what you need/want) but i still think it´s a good idea because it kind of forces you to switch classes every now and then and even use clases you may not usually pick. I myself usually don´t like sorcress but in this game they are great.

It was on the list at one point, so that's something. Can't fault Itsuno for choosing DMC5 instead, I just hope it wasn't a one chance type deal.

Goblins fear fire.

I don't know how people can complain about warriors being boring but also think sorcerer is fun.

id try to play all the classes all of them are diverse and fun as hell fucking wish they made a sequel with play with friends instead of the shatty pawns

At this point, I just want them to incorporate some of the stuff into a DD2.

Here's a real, actual, protip, although it won't actually affect you outside of Hard Mode BBI: Innate Defense is worth way more than armor-given defense and innate Attack.

Attack can be gained super easily by just using end-game weapons. If you don't want to wear end-game armor sets (because you don't need to; you can make actually-good sets from various gear with good Debilitation Resistances AND have some freedom to wear what you like the looks of. You aren't locked into end-game gear for that like you are end-game weapons for Attack Power), there's no good way to increase your character's survivability.

300 innate Defense and no armor is worth more than 150 innate Defense and 400 Armor Defense.
So if you're going to play in Hard Mode, you might not want to level solely as an Assassin.

To reiterate, this all means virtually nothing in Normal Mode. YOU DO NOT NEED TO MINMAX IN DRAGON'S DOGMA. HAVE. FUN.

SUS

>mystic knight
>high sopor with rusted staff
>enemies fall asleep when torpored, meaning the sleep animation takes twice as long
>hit them for 4x damage with Abyssal Anguish buff
>they have to wake up now
>wake up animation takes twice as long

shame I prefer the agile classes though, MK is loads of fun for sheer cheese like that

Don't be an autistic minmaxing faggot, play whatever you want when you want it, don't listen to this retard

FLYING INTO FREE

You're just a faggot

I miss /ddg/

Important advice if you want to be /fa/.

I just use dinput to make whatever I'm wearing have whatever looks I want

Sorcerer is equally boring, the exciting vocations are Fighter, Assassin, Magick Archer, and Ranger for that medieval fantasy machine gun feel.

It will be there, when DD:DA gets released on switch.
For two days !

capcom should unite all the pawn servers already

no thanks I want nothing to do with 99999 attack PC pawns

Bring back the 360 one, first.
I miss bullying the potatoes.

just don't hire them then

Can I play this on xbone?

yea

I kinda wanna replay it. What's the funnest class/build

>There exists lewds of your Pawn that you didn't even ask for

Attached: thinking.gif (480x264, 1.54M)

Not him but it depends on what you want. I personally think Warrior is the most fun with your 10 minute charge time to insta kill swing on monsters. Then again strider is the monster climbing god.

Not making your pawn based off of your fav loli

I was some kinda wizard when I first played. I remember it was fun. What's the best way to play as a powerful wizard?

I sure hope there are

periapts and maelstrom

Thanks :)

>making a loli
low tier Pawn not worth 1 RC

loli pawns are made for brining

Oh, look, Flearonique.

would greatly appreciate some advice with this scenario ive put myself in
last time i played this game i got part way into the dlc on normal difficulty then got stuck because i was severely under powered and could barely damage anything so i quit and didnt play for ages until now

i decided i wanted to start from the beginning obviously but i didnt feel like re rolling chests and stuff a million times to get the /fa/ armour and clothing pieces i wanted so i decided to load my game and start ng+ on hard mode, thus allowing start from the beginning but keeping the items i want

my question is, did i fuck myself over for playing the DLC? is it going to be ridiculously hard even after playing through the game after a second time because im on hard mode?

you can take it off hard mode in options

Theres a Dragon to the far west, it respawns.

BBI doesn't change with mode I don't think. Plus NG+ doesn't scale, so everything is as easy/hard as it was in NG.

This is why I did NG+ without rental pawns. Evened out the difficulty for bigger challenges.

Playing midgets and lolis gets real boring very quick when you discover its only good for Strider

Attached: Heavy and Demoman excellent medieval adventure.jpg (1920x1080, 416K)

do the enemies and stuff reset when you move on to ng+ or will it keep my progress?

nevermind sounds like it does reset, excellent

Hey Arisens,
My name is Daimon, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are base, trifling, slaves to a broken order who spend every second of their day completing stupid ass quests. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any pawnssy? I mean, I guess it's fun killing random stuff because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than doing radial quests on Skyrim.
Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I played 190 lvls as a Sorcerer, and started as a Mage. What builds do you play, other than "jack off to shameless princesses"? I also have every other Vocation maxed, and have a banging hot pawnfu (She just told me wolves hunt in packs; Shit was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just godsbane yourselves. Thanks for listening.

I'm pretty sure hard mode effects bbi as well. I know it changes the stagger and knockdown resistance of enemies so I assume it does the same for damage.

You don't even need endgame or BBI equipment to do BBI as a warrior, I did it with a gold dragonforged Thousandlimbs

>gimping yourself on purpose by increasing the XP requirement for each level so that you can listen the high-tempo combat theme
By the time I got to post-Dragon I was level 20.

this is a game about grinding it's obviously a chore. Griding games are supposed to simulate the stress and release of a workaholic lifestyle. It's a game genuinely meant to emulate work. The warrior is just extra not fun on top of that.

i miss /ddg/, bros

big sword tho
so argument invalid

I beat the game my first time through with Warrior and didn't even need to grind. I pretty much only did critical path with the exception of like two sidequests.

This user speaks the truth.

lower your expectations
the sonygros overhyped it since it used to be console exclusive
It's still a good game tho

Take care not to cheese it because if you do it'll become so easy it's boring

> one mimic chest dropped more Rift Crystal than I collected throughout the entire game

Attached: image0.jpg (460x413, 26K)

lol

Strider/ranger/Assassin for the win. Can't fight slowly to Jrock

I'll tell you what though. It's a true to honest port I didn't have any problems with. Even got to move over my save from console without a hitch.

Just jump when he rolls lol, most of the game against bosses is airtime.

This, until it gets to a point of. I've already got mats from about 5 chimeras, they aren't going anywhere and the world can't fall apart anymore as it is. Avoiding bossfights because it's just not worth the effort.

I pawn always came back with such nice gifts though. :( Violet was such a hussy.

You ever get mad at your Pawn for just doing the stupidest thing? Sometimes you just have to throw a bitch off a cliff. Don't worry, resurrections are free. ;)

I like the spells, the tier 3 ice just shits on everything but I don't have time for that shit. I'll hire a warrior to tank and get thrown about, two healers and I'll bob and weave dealing the actual DPS until my mages can get their shit together.

Whats the fastest way to get geared up for bitterblack isle

>Arisen gets eaten by a chest and the pawns JUST STAND THERE AND DO FUCKING NOTHING

Maybe I'll get you to open the chest next time, how about that?

grinding for gear before BBI is kinda pointless, just get your grigori weapon, dragonforge it and go nuts

If you want to cheese, you can do the following:
>rank strider to 8, get master thief
>get very low health
>go to the Midnight Helix in BBI, steal from the condemned gorecyclops, save game
>get killed, reload, repeat

condemned gorecylops drops lvl 2/3 gear very rarely, but he also drops some upgrade materials that you can use to gold dragonforge some of the most low level items in the game. The thing is that those items are actually pretty fucking good when gold dragonforged.

dragonsdogma.fandom.com/wiki/Stilettos

then you just play through BBI normally until you get lvl 2 and 3 bbi weapons.

If you want to break the game really fast, you can get lvl 1 bbi weapons(basically grigori and end gransys stuff) without fighting anything. Just go to the wiki and look through what chests drop it.

>Walk to the end of the pier.

Niggy I never knew how to react to this, does this always happen or something? Am I fucked to romance cute goat?

The best class is wizard. Literally just cast holy enchantments on yourself and snipe anything from 1000 miles away. If they get too close, summon a fucking tornado up their ass

Just run and don't look back, or set up a teleport thing beforehand and just warp there

There's always a set encounter after exiting Gran Soren's south gate.

Romancing Mercedes is difficult because she leaves like 3/4ths of the story so you might accidentally romance someone else like a merchant cause you use them a lot, or the duchess since her questline is near the end of the story.

Brown NPC lady lol, poor fucking Mercedes.
Selene is bestgirl and lets be honest. Pretty much the most human ;)
Kek.

> Magick Cannon and Magick Sigil will have additional elemental damage, depending on what your weapon have been buffed with
> Dark Anguish increases range and damage
> Even without elemental buffs, a perfect deflect knocks any enemy away and deals good damage
> Long lasting buff available for the whole team
> Holy Wall can block incoming projectiles, including fucking crossbow bolts
Mystic Knight is Chad Tier

you can thunder riposte the crossbow bolts and hit the dude firing them

> Never even
> Not even mods can bring it back

Attached: Guts_and_Griffith.jpg (960x539, 88K)

Hard mode is actually easier with all the gold that drops. You just have to learn Bastion from the get-go.

> Boot up hard mode
> goblins in the first area drop 10k

>kill wolf
>explodes into three giant gold bags
>cheese Death in BBI at lvl 30 solo with pilgrim's charm on
>level 56 times

Attached: 1540002235208.gif (225x249, 808K)

sadly I can't stand pawns anymore after playing solo(for Autonomy). They're just so fucking dumb even when well trained, and I often get hit because of attacks aimed at them.

Also this was the result after I loaded up the game after two years

Attached: 20190128010739_1.jpg (1920x1080, 317K)

lmao i just strapped on gear with str and did it faggot.

Not OP but also dlled but haven't played the game yet, any must have mods on PC?

>453960917
It's boring, don't waste your time. Made even worse by the fact that it is dated as fuck at this point.
