what are some video games or things in video games that are lost to time and no longer available

OP image is no longer avaiable in tf2 because it was an item you got from playing another game that is no longer available. it's also untradeable

Not positive but the monk's head wrappings from Demon's Souls might be inaccessible now.

why is that?

You can just gift wrap it though

You need to get them by defeating another player under control from the old monk headwrap. I dont think the offline NPC boss drops it. could be wrong tho

It's impossible to get offline, but a private server exists.

scoot pilgrim vs the world
Well you can emulate it

Any way I can sell mine?

>untradeable
Couldn't you get around that by using a gift wrap?

>many of your favourite childhood video games with be unplayable in 50 years

This reminded me that I still have the tradeable Black Rose I got back then when it was craftable for a whole day. I might have some real gold on my hands.

I'll be dead in 50 years

It was craftable at some point? Damn. Always wanted that knife, but of course the game wasn't available in my country...

Yeah I think you had to use one of those tokens for crafting class-specific and weapon-specific items

Getting the knife wasn't worth playing that AVA garbage. one of my friends ended up liking the game and put anout 60 hours in

I wish they'd have made it craftable when the game went down, at least. Just make the BR's not obtained through crafting into the "Genuine" ones, and that should solve everything.

>having to play a game to get a reskinned item in another game

Didn’t realize how deep the Jewishness went in tf2

Gift wrap no longer can be used on untradable items.

you never played spiral knights to get the hat?

Super monday night items ;-;

Makes me remember the beginning days of Spiral Knights... Who the hell thought that "You can only play for like 2 hours a day unless you pay for more playtime" was a good idea

And it's the only weapon besides a shield that has different styles. I don't even remember how I got it, and I don't even play spy. I am more upset about trading away my Dangeresque Too though.

since i stopped playing they have added strange cosmetic items and weapon skins

it was from some shitty asian f2p shooter that came with a fun rootkit which was "safely disabled" according to shills.

>And it's the only weapon besides a shield that has different styles
That throwing cleaver for the scout has different styles, there might be more i don't remember.

Classic TF2 was the last time I fell in love with an online game. I think the most I've put into an online game since is about 30 hours and my love dwindled fast. And that's only 2 or 3 games.

Modern TF2 is a complete abomination though. Frankenstein game. It's the major reason I won't buy a game until it's released and has had all its updates.

just get an achievement unlocker

Teenage love

Is that game really down for good now? I remember that I wanted the knife at some point but couldn't get it because the game had shut down, but then they brought it back and I got the knife.

Is tf2 worth getting into these days as a new player or is it just a wasteland of autism and furries?

Remember when they gave Notch a custom hat only for himself and then he proceeded to immediately shit on TF2 as a whole? Those were some good times.

Enjoy having to farm for unlockables to catch up to everyone else, you'll have plenty of time to do it while the game languishes with no updates for a year.

i have that. is it worth anything?

You're playing a lesser game certainly but it's still fun, it's not like there are other shooters that do what it does.
>Enjoy having to farm for unlockables to catch up to everyone else
The stock loadout is completely viable always and it's not like getting weapons is hard. I think you can even trade them one for one now.

Stock is a better option most of the time, and you can unlock essentials like sandvich and ubersaw by playing the game naturally.

It always used to be that if you install a Source game it shares files (I assume because downloads are smaller if you have another Source game installed). If I install one game on my HDD and one on my SSD is it going to be slower because it's pulling some files from my HDD?

Yeah, still fun. You might have to watch some videos to help you out with the basics, specially if you're matched with some pubstomper.

you can buy like most weapons for 10 cents each on the market if you don't mind parting your money

Downloads are smaller but i think the install size remains the same and the files just get copied to the other directory.

>you can buy like most weapons for 10 cents each on the market
That would be overpaying in the extreme, keys are worth like 44 ref now.

what happened?

DiRT 1+2, Blur, Metro 2033 + Last Light (non-redux), Deus Ex:HR (non-directors cut), practically all of Vladivostok Radio in GTA IV, a ton of music in Vice City
granted it can all be had through piracy, mods, or older console versions

Hyperinflation in action i suppose.

Audi R8 in Midnight Club: LA, since they closed down the server it's unobtainable last time I checked.

why are some items like strange kritzkreig like 50 bucks on the market? are you able to get them easier with metal or some other ways?

Strange kritzkreig was from those special crates iirc which haven't dropped for a long time and were expensive af when they did drop.

Due to their rarity from some particular crate and there's no strangefier for it.

With emulation you can play games that are 50 years old now.
You won't be able to play "Games as service" once denuvo servers shut down and no hacker bothers to crack masterpieces like for honor and anthem

im pretty sure i still have two of those
i remember them being worth like 4 keys though which was basically nothing compared to unusuals and shit

Energy you could obtain, it was just a sink.

I'm still fucking pissed they wrapped the FREE ONLINE MULTIPLAYER with a $4 reskin of Stills. I will never not be mad, fuck Ubisoft.

>i remember them being worth like 4 keys though which was basically nothing compared to unusuals and shit
They haven't dropped for a long time and kritzkreig was probably one of the more desirable drops from that crate.

nice photoshop

you can just unlock an achievement through the Steam Achievement Manager and get the knife this way, that's how I got mine, I don't even know what game this is from

Pic related because of some shitty DRM that only works on XP
What are ye talking about? It's still on steam

>practically all of Vladivostok Radio in GTA IV, a ton of music in Vice City
you telling me if I were to buy GTA vice city and 4 right now, all that shit would be removed from the steam copy?

>What are ye talking about? It's still on steam
You sure about that?

>go to any idle server with tag "free items"
>type in chat !items or whatever it is
>get all the achievements done for free instantly with no punishment
>also get all the weapons

Oh it did get removed. Thanks America.

yeah
even if you owned GTA IV prior to the music's removal, it's gone. Not the case for Vice City, I've still got Billie Jean and co.

Yeah cockstar are REAL FUCKING JEWS

They actually repatched the music out of years old games

What a bunch of faggots

how does this work?

Steams backend is wide fucking open, you can limitlessly hack to your hearts content and Steam doesnt even give a fuck

>Steams backend is wide fucking open
heh
