Naw man, both the movies and the Flying Circus were hit or miss. Holy Grail is fantastic, Life of Brian is insanely boring, and Meaning of life is a little of both. Which is fine honestly. All the greatest things in life are made from taking chances.
mega disagree
>Life of Brian is insanely boring
absolute pleb taste
>fucking uberable
I'm pretty sure the only two memorable bits in the entire movie are Biggus Dickus and always look on the bright side.
Monty Python doesn't hold up at all. The actors/creators are deeply embarassed about it and the only people who like it are unfunny retards.
Blackadder and Fawtly Towers are fantastic ofc
Even the pythons themselves agree that the Holy Grail falls apart halfway through.
>Monthy
>Phyton
Yeah and George Lucas thought the original trilogy needed to be "fixed" with horrible Han-dindu-nuffin editing and CGI shit covering every frame. For vidya examples look no further than Sakamoto and Kojima.
Creators can be horribly wrong about their works, especially if enough time passes.
Old people are always "deeply embarrassed" about everything they did when they were young. Especially Brits, it seems like. Holy Grail falling apart halfway through is part of why it's great. Everyone just getting arrested at the end is like the greatest non-ending ever.
Do you mean they don't hold up because most of the modern comedy is derived from python?
No, because it's 95% filibustering and lol randumb with no actual depth or content once examined closer.
It was cute, early on, It's not like anything else was on the telly. In reality it's on the same level of quality as your average Yea Forums thread.
That would be the Monty Python computer game.
>tfw no one probably played it.
>bring out your dead Tetris was revolutionary.
>The actors/creators are deeply embarassed about it

man.
George Lucas was just worried that the movies wouldn't stand the test of time in their condition and wanted to maintain them. On paper it's a pretty good idea.
Python had clever ideas, transitions between sketches, even seasons and they didn't just spout random shit - everything was super organized and the actors were into it. They had some experimental stuff and some jokes dragged too long but that's with every long lasting comedy series ever. I'm not saying every python piece is great but saying they don't hold up is something I don't just understand.
3Asn't there a Monty Python videogame about the King Arthur movie?
yeah, it was called Mount and Blade: Warband
