Hope at least the same thing doesn't happen to Skywind/Skyblivion, those projects seem a bit more reasonable.

Yep, most of it's gone by now, that pic is some very early stuff. I used to have the occasional look at their twitter and the new stuff they'd post would be a much better quality. Assuming it woulnd't have died on its own anyway, they seemed to be doing good progress.

It's safe to say that at the very least character models being better overall would have meant far less of the sameface syndrome games from the era suffered from.
Also yes, it's not just better graphics but a re-worked gameplay system as well (of which we know very, very little) plus a re-work of the maps. Dialogue would have remained the same.
I was mainly interested because once they were done with KotOR1, the next logical step would have been doing KotOR2, and finally doing the game some justice.

The Disney movies are the best ones.
This would've been quite impressive, porting all of the mechanics, dialogue alone would be insane, redoing all the environments pretty much impossible. I doubt this would've ever seen the light of day even if it hadn't been smothered.
