Yeah he's fine bro.

What I don't get is how you make the only good 40k game, then just fuck off... why?

Never ever be a sequel

At least the devs confirmed the planned sequels would have have Titus forming his own Chapter

Relic was actually planning to make a sequel, and it went into the pre-production phase, but then THQ went bankrupt and they were sold to SEGA. SEGA then had them make Dawn of War III, which was terrible.

God I hope so

>Has unexplainable warp resistance
>Is an ultramarine captain that disregards the codex

I think the boys in blue will be better off without his mary sue ass. Punching a demon prince to death are you joking?

>I think the boys in blue will be better off without his mary sue ass.
The Ultramarines are literally the Mary Sue chapter. Anyone that goes against them is a good character on principle.

nothing is too mary sue for the fucking smurfs
cato sicarius can eat my ass

The Blood Ravens dropping in at the end was pure kino. based relic

Marines kill demon princes all the time, that's how they get to be chapter heroes and shit.

The way you know chaos sucks dick is that abaddon has the blessing of chaos undivided and still wears his terminator armor. The emperor knew what the fuck he was doing when he made space marine shit, they solo demons and shit all the time.

Am I the only one who thinks liandros did the logically correct thing by reporting this dude to the inquisition? Whether he knows it or not, he could have easily been a chaos pawn being set up to be a mini messiah all for the low cost of one small/middling chaos warband. He's suspicious by 40k standards anyways with the whole warp thing.

He literally punches it to death and it basically just sits there and lets him do it.

At the same time, maybe liandros was the one tainted by the exposure to demons and tzeentch just whispered some bullshit in his ear because tidus left unchecked would fuck up an entire chaos warband, so siccing the inquisition on him was the easy way to deal with him. Liandros is a faggot.

40k is kind of like capeshit, characters who aren't the main character of the book job.

I mean, he was a blank right?

Attached: 1491965897284.png (744x544, 300K)

Yeah. They brainwashed him and made him an Inquisitor.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 67K)

He was right, but a more sensible action would have been to report him to a smurf chaplain instead, you don't want the inquisition attention.

Why do we hate Ultramarines again?

No, this is a constant meme on Yea Forums, "Liandros did nothing wrong!"

Some anons say "no fuck Liandros, Titus was based"

Some anons say, "Yes, Titus was clearly warp touched and shit was whack"

Lorefag anons say "Space Marine chapters have their own methodology and command structure for doing this sort of thing, Leandros going to an inquisitor instead of reporting the incident to a chaplain ASAP is a huge embarrassment for him and the chapter and undermines the Ultramarines sovereignty. If they felt hot enough about the issue they could even go after the Inquisitor who nabbed him, who is technically untouchable but don't underestimate the political clout of a first founding chapter and arguably the one that plays at politics the most. Leandros probably scuppered his career and got himself on Papa Smurfs shitlist, especially since he acted without the oversight of older or more experienced officers against a 2 century vet. Captain"

Mary sue poster boys

According to the guy that was in line to make space marine two.the twist was going to be something took his soul without him knowing. Find out its a traitor librarian of his chapter

>Follows the codex astartes, the literal best book ever written after the lectitio divinitatus
>Is a faggot

Sounds like a heretic is mad they got caught.

Matt Ward
But now they're based. Sicarius curbstomps a Tau thot after she tries to guilt trip a newbie UM

Attached: SKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEUP.gif (392x262, 1.49M)

>Calling Ultramarines mary sue when space furries and dark angels exist

>Traitor librarian somehow barters Titus' soul to Khorne
>Titus proceeds to shit all over magic and a sorcerer and regens by murdering shit
makes sense.

Matt Ward fluff from 6th edition sucked them off to no end, when before that they were just blank templates/Roman tacticool marines.

The japanese should stay out of 40k.

This is why the white scars and salamanders will always secretly be the coolest chapters.

the qt girl would've avoided him like the plague if that was the fact

You could have a chapter about watching paint dry, and it'd be more interesting.

White Scars and Salamanders are the "According to Jim" tv sitcom of chapters. Easily forgettable and as entertaining as an STD.

>Is an ultramarine captain that disregards the codex
yes I too have read 1d4chan and think they're a master of 40k lore now

white scars got retconned into being almost traitors, pisses me off

>Applying holy promethium to everything or waving a chain sword around from the back of a combat bike

Neither of these sound boring.

This shit right here. The amount of faggots who only read 1d4chan and watch that stupid fucking big-bang theory level youtube series by alfabusa, then go around like they know 40k lore. I don't get autistically angry over many things, but those faggots need to be gassed.

>after the lectitio divinatus

Fuck off lorgar, your book sucks and your legion sucks.

Could have been worse, could have been Blood Ravens.

Yeah, he just got added to Paladins as the newest champ. He's in PTS right now.

Bruh, literally every chapter does this. But I'll give you a point, though. At least your chapter's speciality isn't "shooting bolt weapons".

You shouldn't
At least not /ourguy/ Cato Sicarius

Attached: gtfo thot.jpg (1000x1000, 205K)

I wonder about this too. Is the an in universe explanation to why the warp device didn't affect Titus?

Marine chapters tell the inquisition to go fuck themselves all the time, that's why chapters like the space wolves and the relictors just do whatever they wanna do. Gabriel Angelos only plays nice with them because he's gotten some good inquisitors, like Toth.

>You will never go on a L I T E R A L thot patrol with Cato Sicarius
Fuck this life

Attached: Bladerunner Anger 1.jpg (590x350, 14K)

What If Titus didn't become an Ultrasmurf, What other chapter would Titus would he fit in?

Attached: primaris chapters.jpg (1612x953, 440K)

>HURRR LOOK AT MY POWER LEVEL AND PLEASE ACCEPT ME!!!!!

No one cares, fuck off.

>That speech he gives about the codex at the end
The dude literally got all the good genes from Roboute Guilliman. He's the ideal Ultramarine.

Are blanks even a thing anymore, I haven't followed the lore in a while but remember hearing one of the biggest changes to Necrons were Pariahs no longer being a thing.

Don't need to go that far. Just only let them make Tau games. I'd love a japanese made, crazy Tau battlesuit game.

Attached: tau.jpg (1600x1064, 1.02M)

>no one cares
>replies
Ok, retard.

>calm
>level headed
>does whatever necessary to get the job done
Raven-guard maybe? Or Blood Angels, what with his penchant for ripping limbs off.

This story would actually work way, way way better if it was about the Blood Angels and Titus was slowly succumbing to the Black Rage, and gets taken away to join a Death Company at the end of the game

Well yeah i'll give you that. The japanese can touch the Tau on their vagina foreheads but they need to stay away from other factions unless they're going to contribute and touch on minor space faring factions.

holy based and redpilled!

>game is this game
>play it
>it should be mad exciting
>shooting and everything feels bad and the player feels weak

every time

The raven guard and blood angels are both chapters filled with emos because of their primarchs. Just toss him into the iron hands or the imperial fists, or any UM successor chapter, or the blood ravens.

>But now they're based. Sicarius curbstomps a Tau thot after she tries to guilt trip a newbie UM
This is how low our standards have fallen, huh? All it takes is killing a single xeno to make the shittiest chapter "based"?
Fucking sorry state of affairs 40k is in if this is where we are at. Guess the death of Warhammer Fantasy convinced you lot to start sucking Games Workshop's dick before they come for you too.

They still exist, necrons just don't have anything to do with them anymore.

They're a decent chapter overall with some spicy characters that make them fun
Still salty over Monarchia, Lorgar?

Attached: jojo.jpg (639x302, 106K)

I read the Tau's lines on the voice of the most-esteemed Cato Sicarius.

Attached: ultradepression.png (500x561, 470K)

He got a reference in honor to him for the ultrasmurfs so we can assume he got out okay

the Ultramarines aren't 'worst chapter'. They're hyper organized Roman chads. The problem is the spiritual liege shit, where they try to imply the other chapters suck the Ultra's off.

The codex actually says to go to the Chaplain/Librarian first, so he was in the wrong either way.

>>shooting and everything feels bad and the player feels weak
>player feels weak
I don't think you and I played the same Space Marine. You're a walking tank ripping through Orks like they are made of tissue paper.

The ultramarines canonically have the highest number of successor chapters, which is why so many other chapters suck them off.

Mad because you didn’t win at Calth?

Ultramarines are those idiots at job interviews who when asked to name a flaw they say "Well golly gee I guess I'm just too hard of a worker and too nice and too honest and..."
Thus, they are the worst chapter. Because their writing is fucking bad.

it depends on the circumstances. shoota orks can whittle your health down fast. you basically NEED to rush enemies to get into melee to regen, otherwise you die fast.

I didn't like the whole meme of "space marines don't use cover". Yeah, they don't use cover against puny slug throwers, late game enemies have fucking plasma cannons you fucking idiot take cover

>be spacemarine
>follow the orders, complete missions
>gets executed anyway

Damn, multiple 40K games have such final I guess?

I'd fuck a big tiddy tau desu.

BLAM

>tfw this is legitimately your fucking flaw after spending hours trying to think of an answer to that bullshit question
>you get stressed out by work because you actually give a shit and get upset when shit doesn't go right and people get mad at you
>you worry about details you can't control and plan anxiously to stay on top of them

I still don't get why leandros called the inquisition instead of talking to the Chaplin.

Fuck that, give me a game about the real chads in the Imperium

Attached: Legio Custodes Command Squad.jpg (1480x641, 240K)

whast the story of this game? why did he get eggsecuted?

Your flaw isn't that you work too hard. Your flaw is that you have anxiety. Someone honestly answering "Im a hard worker" as a flaw is just trying to suck up and dodge the question.

>say this is your flaw after spending hours thinking about it
>list two things that are bigger flaws immediately afterward

The only good tau is a dead tau.

Attached: 1487273757876.jpg (598x465, 187K)

The only part about this game that was utter bullshit was the part on top of the titan. Like damn, just give me a button to drop my thunder hammer at least.

Space Marine captains don't get executed, at worst - mind wiped by Inquisition.

He didn't get executed. He gets taken away by the inquisition for interrogation for possible heresy. That could (and usually does) lead to execution, but it could also just lead to torture and eventual release when they find nothing (its happened before). Depends on who is doing the questioning.

He gets taken away because he has resistance to the warp.

>their writing is fucking bad.

That's the entirety of 40K though.

If memory serves me correct I Cato sicarious was once standing in a room infront of a statue of said space marine.

In the emperor we trust, and don't you even dare bring that nulore to this thread.

Attached: 1519238335065.gif (510x546, 873K)

>Orks invade forge world
>Spass Maheens show up to save the day
>Captain gets exposed to fuck you levels of Warp taint in the process of saving said forge world.
>Doesn't seem to have any effects on Captain
Means either he's already corrupted and thus is a HERETIC or he's got some incredible resistance to it which needs to be studied, controlled, contained or destroyed.

40k games maybe but I still want my 40k anime.

Picture?

Attached: 1524508450423.png (609x571, 47K)

First off, fuck no, in 40k time and again a character becomes resistant to the warp for various reasons, secondly fuck off, the codex isn't a programming and space marines aren't a fucking machine, Girlyman himself ignores it completely to bamboozle Alpharius.

The inquisition itself is corrupt and full of chaos taint. Reporting anything to them has a higher chance of making the corruption grow than anything else, Leandros himself saw that on the inquisitor they previously encountered. He's just a faggot with a bootlicking fetish.

Emperor miracle for one. Blanks are very rare but are also an explanation.

How long do Custodes even live? Are there some Great Crusade era ones still hanging around?

i don't know a ton about WH40k but if you were corrupted by exposure to the warp wouldn't you mutate horribly and shit? Does WH40k have like illusion magic? i dunno

>Are there some Great Crusade era ones still hanging around?
they're ALL great crusade era ones

And yes, Roboute fucking bawls them out for doing literally nothing the last millenia

He probably spent 100 years in some inquisitorial mind-rape dungeon then if he was free of taint, mind wiped and sent to the Deathwatch.

Attached: deathwatch.jpg (1280x720, 60K)

It seems they have no age limit
Almost all of the 10000 companions are still around from the Unification of Terra

Last tenish millenia. The heresy happens in like M33, and last I remember, it's like M45 in 5th/6th edition.

>png of text
>make it so small as to be unreadable

why would anyone ever do this? delete that and dont post it again

Nope, there's some good writing in terms of worldbuilding, and of all chapters ultramarines have the least amount of said good writing.

Scout sergeant Cyrus from DoW2 was seconded to death watch for a long time. There's no mind-wiping involved.

>wouldn't you mutate horribly and shit
Not necessarily.

>i don't know a ton about WH40k but if you were corrupted by exposure to the warp wouldn't you mutate horribly and shit? Does WH40k have like illusion magic? i dunno

It depends. Strong willpower and faith in the Emperor CAN help you to resist sorcery and Chaos taint. The real issue is that Titus should have been disintegrated by the energy of the macguffin but wasn't, he was bathed in concentrated hell-rape-energy. The fact he isn't, and seems to fall under the the big bads power when he first arrives, makes Leandros suspicious - when he was already inclined to be suspicious because he was a dogmatic asshole/dumbass. This, combined with the stress of their veteran getting killed and Titus refusing to back down from the situation because now it's personal(tm) causes Leandros to fuck off and go tattle.

thats because Death Watch deals primarily with Aliens, and is like a United Space Marines Nations Taskforce of 'Fuck Aliens'.

Mindwipes come into play when shit involves demons, aka the Ordo Malleus.

If he was a blank then it would have been painful for the Inquisitor/Daemon to be near him

If Titus is a captain, does he have a white helmet canon-wise? Does Sidonus wear a red helmet?
don't know much about the lore, but aren't humans by definition soul-bound beings in Warhammer with significantly powerful souls? Isn't the soul potency what makes Chaos stronger?
Do blanks have different personalities? Titus seems too calm and stoic at times, even for a veteran.
There was going to be a sequel where he goes rogue and finds the truth about his warp resistance. Maybe he does so as a member of the deathwatch?

Attached: ultramatine3489314.jpg (955x1345, 252K)

The biggest heresy of the sequel not happening is that now we both don't get broly cooperation and we don't get to see Leandros get neck deep in shit. I would love to see Girlyman himself berate the fucker.

The inquisition happily mind wipes Astarte to remove any unwanted information they may have.

They probably don't want some marine who has gone face to face against a daemon prince to be spilling the beans to everyone he meets while having his talents makes him a useful tool for the Inquisition.

Anyone deemed important enough in the Imperium can have their life indefinitely extended until they die in battle or get executed for heresy.

Attached: emperor_trump.webm (1084x600, 1.82M)

>Do blanks have different personalities?
no
and Titus can't be a blank, see

>He gets taken away by the inquisition for interrogation for possible heresy. That could (and usually does) lead to execution
No, what's going to happen is that they'll have several inquisition sanctioned psykers scan his mind for taint.
They will find none.
They will release him.
Ultramarines are going to have a lot of heated words with the Inquisition.
Leandros is going to be relegated to perpetual latrine duty.

Yeah dude, I know. Fortunately, the person I was responding to was not talking about the or do malleus.

Name one book where this happens. I can name multiple books where it doesn't.

>I would love to see Girlyman himself berate the fucker.
Guidomayne was still asleep when this game was made.

Years ago there was a thread on Yea Forums about space marine dumps. I've been on Yea Forums 12 years now (fucking yikes) and i think that was the funniest thread/hardest i've ever laughed at Yea Forums.

Apparently it's well described in one of the books that Space Marines store up a dump for like 2 years and then shit out a fucking freighter.

Ironically, I think it's been doing better recently than it has in the last decade or two.
Yeah, GW is kinda going for the normie audience with their all-but-softreboot of the setting, same as they tried to do with Warhammer Fantasy with Age of Sigmar. Whether it'll bite them in the ass in a few year we can't say now but I've been relatively happy with a lot of the recent releases they've put out, at least compared to what they were doing when Kirby was still in charge.

warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Red_Hunters
>When Imperial forces serve alongside certain units of the Inquisition, many witness the full horror of a daemonic incursion or similar phenomenon. When those of the Imperial Guard or similar types of Imperial warriors witness such things, a common protocol that is utilised is that they are often put to death soon after, a mercy considering the corruption and insanity that will inevitably have taken root in their mortal hearts. As such, the Chapter's line brethren are routinely subjected to a mnemonic purgation ("mind-wipe") rite, a protocol that preserves their souls and their physical abilities, albeit at the cost of their memories, skills, experience and personality. This makes them an even more valuable weapon in the hands of the secretive and often necessarily brutal Inquisition.
Their chapter tactic in table top is basically remembering their old skills and gain one special rule for one turn.

Space Marines can't be Blanks or Nulls. The Geneseed Implantation would fail since the Primarchs were made with the aid of the warp.

I know user, I know.
I'm poor right now since I just started a guard army but I really want to add some Zaku marines and sneaky shooty tacticals to my Flesh Tearers army. The snipers seem cool but but I haven't seen their point costs and, plus, I'm still shocked GW actually made them Heavy Support.

esports gaem that isnt anywhere near competitive made as a sequel to gaems that were sold and cherished purely based on their soul and atmosphere

Classic rts 40k game when?

I actually can't recall of a single instance of official characterization for the Emperor that made him look good. He's the kind of CEO who should never, ever be allowed to micromanage anything.

>because it's not this super serious interpretation we see moreso now
Yeah, that's 40k in general. It's always sad to me how it's gradually descended from a tongue in cheek awesome joke series to no fun bullshit that takes itself way too seriously.

The Emperor is legitimately one of the dumbest people ever

>Don't wipe out the Machine Cult because pragmatism
>Instead of being pragmatic and accepting the undying loyalty of super religious zealous space marines, you humiliate them and cause your own downfall

Fuck even Guilliman is considering whether the Emperor qualifies as a god now since he's reading Lorgar's book on the Emperor.

>fucking 5 simultaneous 1.5k tyranid invasion
REEEEEEEEEE I CAN'T JUST ABANDON PLANETS AND SYSTEMS FOR THAT SHITSHOW

>Stupid sterilisation bullshit instead of just exterminatus
Why would you nuke valuable forge world?
I guess they have exception for some regiments, like cadians would obviously see chaos every day, mordians btfoed chaos invasion etc.

Lot of wasted potential in my opinion.

There could have been some good shit in this. But they took way too much inspiration from MOBAs and live service shit, while still remaining an STR at his core. As a direct consequence, MOBA players (who weren't all that numerous anymore anyway, already switching to the next fashion, battle royale) weren't interested in it, STR fans were pissed off by the main game mode having turrets and cores and focus on 3v3. Led to some really strange unit skills too, like the infamous Terminator backflip, though it's nitpicking to me (the game has much deeper flaws).
I still think having to chose your elite units was a good idea as it made the game closer to the tabletop game in spirit and it meant you always had to adapt your strategy to which elites you and your opponent selected before the game. But the balance wasn't that good, so a 'meta' still came out of this shit, which made the whole elite system moot. I guess competitive fags are to blame too there - but Relic tried to cater to them too...

The campaign was much less ambitious than DoW II's, or even DoW I's latest expansions. I still enjoyed it quite a bit.

40k fluff writing has decreased dramatically in quality.

Defecation was quite the hot topic in "Space Marine"

Also the cringiest lore about mindwipe and massacring guardsmen was made by matt ward. I think he did it to justify grey knights fighting imperium forces in table top. But that made GK look like biggest team killers.

Space marines wear colorful armors just like fantasy knights would wear colorful armors to show others their identity or affiliation.
And there is no reason to make Space Marines look like standard sci-fi military when Astra militarum fills that role.

>Shills spend a year declaring it's nothing like a MOBA
Probably the saddest thing in those threads. I've never seen flies viciously defend such a tiny turd.

Mars was a superpower, and immensely powerful compared to Terra. It'd be a very intense war, and the winner would just be devastated anyway. It was easier to sign the treaty.

Plus, they had a ton of insane technology. Chances of winning were slim to begin with, and the Emperor didn't want the tech to get needlessly destroyed. Mars had already established several outer Forge Worlds and had the ships and navigation ability to lead the crusade. Also, the Primarchs had not yet been recovered, so Terra's martial strength was barely a whisper of what it would be by the time the Crusade hit its stride.

That's the beauty of 40k, you can have your knights in shining armor marines or can go full tacticool marines.

mk 3 power armor still looks the best, prove me wrong

The Emperor was simply not a people person. Or, perhaps more accurately, he cared about HUMANITY more than people themselves, let alone individuals.

Properly proportioned marines look so amazing

That's meant to be Trump, user.

>yet another retard who thinks that anyone who meets anything chaos is killed because he read about what happens after a demonic incursion and has the reading comprehension of a 1st grader.
A full fledged demonic incursion is far, far worse for the sanity and soul of a typical man than any "normal" chaos invasion from CSM or human traitors will ever be. On top of countless demons fucking with people, the warp bleeds through pretty heavily when that shit happens, exposing them to the kind of shit you'd need to go visit a demon world or the Eye of Terror to see normally. Every single average guardsman or citizen involved is at permanent risk of going bonkers or turning traitor themselves from exposure to that many warp nonsense. The last thing the Imperium needs are a bunch of chaos cults spreading because some of the exposed went nuts from the nightmares of it, or from demons trying to reach out to them to get back into the materium. The only way for the Imperium to make them "safe" would be to interrogate and investigate every single one of them to see if their mental strength is enough to put them at risk or not, which is a gigantic waste of time that'll end with a good chunk of them being executed anyways. It's far easier to just wipe them all out and bring in new recruits and populance rather than put in all that effort just to (maybe) remove all the potential demonic taint from that population.

Attached: daemons v guard.jpg (1280x804, 163K)

Isn't that kind of problematic, given that the emperor is about to die, and with that, the entire Imperium falls apart, because without the Emperor to power the Astronomican, they can't do FTL travel at all? So the only way to advance the story is to radically change things around?

I'm sure the disgusting writers at gw will do another asspull to keep things going don't worry

They're functionally immortal apparently, but even they feel their age. Apparently in one book an old Custodes notice he's 0.0001 seconds slower to react than he used to be and decides he's unfit for service

Moba garbage. People wanted a mix of the first game basebuilding and the higher number of units coupled with the second game improved tactical control of units, we got LITERALLY moba maps with lanes turrets and "destroy the ancient". Oh and the game launched with microtransactions that offered power, something that you'll barely ever hear someone talk about, because few actually played the damn thing.

Are 40k vidya fans destined to suffer?

Yes, this is the age of based fantasy now

Mark 3 looks medieval and old. I prefer mark 6 (Corvus) and mark 10 (Tacticus). Mark 7 (Aquila) is also nice, although I prefer mode "enclosed" designs that make the entire suit look more robust.

Age of whatnow? Never seen any of that shit in fantasy vidya

>implying he's not going for a necron gf after he pumps and dumps yvraine

But he is right. 1d4chan and If the Emperor had Text to Speech are not actual lore. They are just a bunch of meta jokes, references and memes, most of them lolrandumb bullshit. They can be funny and not hating on anyone that enjoys them, but they are in no shape or form to be used as your primary lore source. Though imo TTS is cringe at this point, the last few episodes I watched were just filled with filler that leads to a shitty, lolrandumb joke that the fans can spam on forums and comments.
It's the same as when people that don't know 40k ask which books they should read to get to know it, and retards suggest Ciaphas Cain. They are great books, but unless you actually know the lore it's just a bunch of mediocre books that you won't even understand why they are funny 80% of the time.

>pumps and dumps yvraine
He wouldn't do that, he's a good and honest man.

Not bare handed or 1 on 1. Please cease discussing this subject you're not familiar with.

That's not how any of this works.
They're so bland they bore The Emperor to treats, and that's heresy.

I generally agree, but who knows what Leandros was up to. He might have been pursuing Inquisitorial status beforehand, hence his connections and hastiness to report Titus to them. Also none of that situation made any sense, especially the lord inquisitor being escorted by black templars.
Anyway, none of it is canon, Titus' position is occupied by Cato Sicarius in the fluff.

>Happy endings aren’t allowed in the WH40K universe
God, I just want a happy ending for Eisenhorn and Bequin but I know it'll never happen.

You sad fucking tertiary.

>Like everything from /tg/ it is terrible
what the fuck am I reading? /tg/ is the only good board on this shit stain of a site

It is depressing to see people not recognize cultist chan. Getting old sucks.

It's sad thinking about how old the games are let alone Colossal Faggots art of her was.

Was Inquisitor: Martyr any good?

It looked bad but i never played it

It was alright. The gameplay was fun but it was very repetitive. The game lore was quite well done for the most part. To me it really felt like a fan mod of diablo 3.

40k memes never fucking die.
Let's say Warhammer World had a leaky ceiling one month. Someone went online and complained, and for some reason it really took off. Within a week, the ceiling had been fixed

Ten years later, people who've never even been there still say you shouldn't go to warhammer world because the ceiling is leaky.

That's Ultramarines.

Why didn't the pre-fall Eldar wipe out Orks completely? Why did they allow Dark age of Technology humanity to spread across galaxy so far and wide?

You summed up pretty much every board on the site post-2010. That is, every board now is just a bunch of general threads, or image dumps.

Raising bump limits from 50/100 was a mistake.

Attached: faultykai.png (2085x3020, 1.38M)

Actually, let's look at what bringing back any other loyalist first would have led to
>Sanguinius
Good job, you undid the entire Blood Angels backstory
>The Lion
Now Dark Angels, the ones who might be traitors, are the strongest chapter. Good job
>Leman Russ
A great way to get the Imperium mobilized into suicidal charges
>Rogal Dorn
Actually a pretty good choice. Secondaries would see him and assume it's a bad Emperor sculpt, though.
>Vulkan
Can you imagine how much screeching about forced diversity that would cause?
>Ferrus Manus
The 30 Iron Hands fans on the planet would love that
>Corvus Corax
The 20 Raven Gard fans would love that
>Jagthai Khan
A Primarch on bike would be really hard to do as the first one because it complicates design precedent and stuff. Also I don't know shit about him beyond that.

>The non-40k half of the board went from interesting discussion to generals and bad imagedumps.
The entire board went to quests and 40k, 40k image dumps, image dumps, and bad fanfic becoming offtopic generals. The place went to shit fast around 2010-11. I'm not sure what websites opened up that all the content producers flooded to but it was like blocked toilet being unplugged, all the entertaining shit disappeared and all you were left with was stains.

There needs to be a second game in which he fucks that qt guardsman captain or whatever her rank was

I loved the RPG and loot system of DOW2 campaign so much. I must have replayed it thirty times or more. All on Primarch difficulty.

You could overpower your troops so damn much. Cyrus could solo entire missions. Avitus could use terminator cyclone missiles or call in orbital bombardment infinite times. The FC's special ability made every skill cost no energy. Teddybear nuked the ground whenever he landed. Jonah allowed you to spam special abilities with no cooldown. Combine Jonah and Avitus and the Force Commanders rally, and you could just sit back and call orbital bombardment to kill everything as you moved. Tarkus was literally impossible to kill because of his "I will not fall" trait, and you could refill his energy nonstop. Give Tarkus that cursed reactive armour that reflects a portion of damage, and he can solo Ulkar on Primarch difficulty in TEN SECONDS FLAT.

It's fucking insanely cool. Plus the wargear customization kicked ass, I loved how you could rotate your troops and see as they changed weapons and models and armour as you upgraded their gear.

Is there another game with single player as comfy as DoW2?

>Founding Chapter is a mary sue version of an obscure Successor Chaper

Attached: what 2.png (829x586, 813K)

He'd be like MC and doomguy if he was wearing a helmet.
Being a named guy with specific appearance and personality makes him something else entirely.

The fact that it's a founding chapter doesn't make it good. Salamanders are garbage and are even bigger mary sues than the smurfs. The lamenters are cool , because they've paid the ultimate price for being the good guys in the wh40k universe, salamanders are just perfectly boring.

SUCCESS BAD
FAILURE GOOD

There was never, ever, any reality to 40K, look at those pauldrons, they're basically the franchise's defining trait and yet they're the most impractical way to make a suit of armor. By all rights, they shouldn't be able to move their arms any more than a playmobil clip.

Then there's the sorcery, chaos, god-like psykers and literal gods... where's the realism in this setting? It's not, it was never there.

And you don't need full freedom of motion, the pauldrons allow just enough mobility to be practical.

I modified maximum level for all SP units. Had to write a bunch of scripts for automation because that's a lot of files.
Also need to fix in GameAssets\Data\simulation\scar\proceduralcontent\ai\ai.scar, function Ai.Traits.DropWargear.Dead.OnEnter(component, data) because it wasn't designed to handle such high levels.

Here's a redpill: Chaos has already won. The warp shapes all of 40k's reality based on the beliefs of EVERYONE in it, not just Orks. That's why Space Marines can exist, it's why the logistics of the Imperial Guard make no sense, and so on
The "chaos gods" are just exceptionally strong warp-spawn trying to shape the breakdown of reality to suit their preferences. It would be breaking down just as much without them, but in the more subtle way of making the Imperium even more of a caricature of itself

>It's a love story, baby just say yes

Attached: Beren and Luthien.jpg (1024x1024, 194K)

The main issue is that Primaris only get access to that one helmet
The space marine troops kits have gradually developed to have more and more aesthetic choices over time. Suddenly, primaris drop, and there are only five of each leg/back sculpt, identical backpacks, chestplates and shoulders, arms only differ in pose, guns have some variety but not much because you only get the boltgun, and then there is only that one helmet, and it's half-helmet and bare head alternatives

It's such a waste because marines used to have just enough variety that you could built interesting individuals while still maintaining a cohesive army, but Primaris are basically clones in different poses unless you start using bits from older kits.

>you memespouter

Yeah its like he browses Yea Forums or some shit, what a retard lel this isnt real life.

Chaos Gate, DoW, Battlefeet Gothic, fuck off.

They were simply to decadent and arrogant to voncern themselves with wordly affairs. Instead they tried to achieve new heights and sensations.
The didnt even fought wars anymore since everything was done by trillions of robots which they commanded bia psychic communication.
Thats how they could easily suppress any form of existential threat.

They only get one. Chaos Gate. Fire Warrior. Space Marine. Dawn of War. Tzeentch has his hand on fate.

There's a whole lot of suffering the xenos to live going on here.

Just use the all wargear mod, one of them gives you a shitton of single-use trait bonuses. That way you can max up every skill tree, and holy shit that's when you become really powerful.

A shame that mod is such a bitch to use, especially since you first have to get through that chore of a first level in Chaos rising to see if it even activates or not.

The Neverending Hail of Obliteration isn't really hard to find, I think you just use the Second Gift of the Artificers with Avitus. Either that, or the salvaged wargear from the Marcellus mission.

Also, Avitus is weaker in Terminator armour. The termie assault cannon doesn't fire continuously due to a game bug. Also you can get a super powerful power armour assault cannon from vanilla DoW2, the Never Ending Hail of Devastation. It has less damage number on its data card, but it has a special ability of never requiring any reload. Which makes it the highest DPS weapon in the game for Avitus. He can just sit inside cover and never pause firing, ever.

There you go: www95.zippyshare.com/v/i5sxX5pg/file.html

How do you apply these mods?

Yeah they come up a lot in the lore, especially the eisenhorn series

Doesn't one of the DoW2 weapon fluffs canonize the angry marines?

Attached: ANGRY MARINES.jpg (712x2500, 316K)

Yeah, I was writing a post already so let's rephrase it a bit.
First, extract everything from the ZIP archive in some temporary files directory. Probably your desktop, with how most modern MS users are.

Second, choose what you want. They are not mutually exclusive and there are only two things. So if you want higher level cap you copy everything from inside "HigherLevelCap" to your DoW2 directory. If you want other thing too you copy files from its directory too.
You've done things right if you have mod_readme_modname.txt files in the same place where DOW2.exe is.

Now you just need to run the game's executable (DOW2.exe) with command-line argument "dev". Something like this:
"C:\Program Files\Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising\DOW2.exe" -dev

This things weren't supposed to be released anywhere ever so I didn't bother writing proper readme files.

> tau

Until Magnus himself confirms that the bloody magpies are his scions then it's all just inquisitorial hearsay to spread distrust over their shady past. However, we're unlikely to know unless GW steps in to make a Blood Ravens supplement or campaign that canonizes this, since DoW will likely remain dead.

Sisters of Silence are Mostly Blank chicks

Wait the mod doesn't work on the vanilla campaign? The nid one.

"out of fuel"
*drops 8000 year old relic on this ground on orc infested planet*

Farsight is an outcast who the Ethereals will give their all to get rid off if he exposes their secret. Also if the Dawn Blade truly is a Chaos artifact, then he's kinda screwed if the Tau do awaken their psyker potential.

I'm pretty sure that one of the weapon descriptions had the blurb "always angry" in it, or whatever is the Angry Marines war cry (beyond "fuck you").

iirc you need separate wargear unlock mods for each campaign. I know I had at least 2 for Chaos Rising, but they did not always worked, and it was annoying to check because you couldn't see if it worked until you finished the first mission, which takes an hour.

It's because Primaris marines were a mistake. They should have just had Primaris be the new armor type, and integrated them into the normal Space Marine bits line up.

>jetpack
>8000 yo relic
yeah nah, you're dumb, do you also think exterminatus is something they throw around willy nilly?

You do know that there are literally console commands to spawn wargear at mouse cursor, right? It's quite tedious if you want everything but if you want just a few specific things it's great.

>tau
>psyker potential
Maybe they'll have the potential to assimilate a psychic race but that's about it.

Attached: 1295032489227.jpg (800x800, 196K)

Didn't they say he'd be weak right after his transformation though?

GW has stateted that tau are major players now and also IoM tried that twice and couldn't get it done either time. Come at me with your cope hive fleets and black crusades. Doesn't change the fact that blueberries won 2 crusades and imperials won 0.

Attached: femhead.png (799x1024, 289K)

>You do know that there are literally console commands to spawn wargear at mouse cursor, right?

No, I did not. How do you do that magic? Reveal this secret to me.

Attached: papa terminator.jpg (3000x2400, 397K)

>GW has stateted that tau are major players now

Attached: You know.jpg (600x600, 38K)

I think GW is just playing it slow, get customers used to the idea of nuMarines before releasing new models, chapter specific nuMarines and other bitz as regular SM get phased out. Even in the meta now they're still expensive MEQs who don't offer a whole lot more than other MEQs for their price.
If they flat out discontinued the existing SM line and put out the nuMarines as a replacement, they'd really go under.

Attached: 1547336800644.jpg (736x1079, 117K)

Definitely works in Retribution. For example:
World_DropWargearAtPosition(Game_GetLocalPlayer(), "wargear\\wargear\\xp2\\campaign\\race_marine\\accessories\\sm_acc_emp_grenade", Misc_GetCameraPos())
Can't find references of the function in Chaos Rising scripts, though. I remember looking for that like a year ago but can't remember whether I found anything. I think I'd have left notes to reproduce so probably no.

What a faggot

I think we have proven ourselves.

Attached: 1470863107469.jpg (888x693, 630K)

Confirmed the same function calls being present in original Relic scripts so it should work as well. Obviously you need to know correct relative paths for the wargear files.

Did roboto and Cato meet after robotos awakening?

>but aren't humans by definition soul-bound beings in Warhammer with significantly powerful souls? Isn't the soul potency what makes Chaos stronger?
Yes, but not particularly powerful, not even in general Eldar have "powerful" souls, they just have strong psyking but have to deal with exaggerated emotions, product of the old ones tinkering, might be that human souls MAY have also been altered by the old ones to more efficiently produce warp entities (gods) considering the human gods were born during the middle ages with a tiny population on a single planet, although eldar had gods already no one knows when they were born and therefore nor what it takes to create a warp "god", however they remained dormant until Slaanesh awakened and his presence corrupted those gods into the chaos gods. Could even be that the orks and humanity were stepping stones, abandoned prototypes for the ultimate warrior race to be created by the old ones, and that humanity would be destined to fall into chaos completely as a more reasonable variant of orks that the old ones would pull the strings on
And adding to that, individuals with "powerful" souls are very rare and usually absolute legends with absurd powers and strength, like primarchs, phoenix lords, and emps of course, whose souls wouldnt dissipate immediately upon entering the warp like a normal human's would.

As for the second question, chaos is intrisically tied to humanity, it could even be said that the spread of humanity is the cause of the warp becoming the ultimate shithole it is now, which also supports that first theory, even the Eldar who dominated the galaxy didnt disturbed it as bad, instead they spawned a god that was unlike anything before. So chaos will only be as strong as there are humans left to convert, or just human presence in general.

We could also say that humanity turned on the fan, but it was the eldar who threw shit at it.

Yay, another ultramarines successor chapter
I'm glad the sequel never happened
Now with rowboat back it never can

Attached: 4L_wQCbum0G.png (1701x1080, 1.17M)

Is Robert the most "human" Primarch?

>Slaanesh
>his

Attached: 1416963233914.jpg (650x1227, 99K)

Rowboat gave Cato a position as his personal bitch boy as I recall. Cato's too fucking autistic that when Rowboat made a joke about paper being his greatest enemy, Cato just stared at him to his disappointment.

I think it's canon that their chainswords don't quite work, and they don't feel sexual attraction to anything (but the Imperial Truth).

choas fuckery doesnt count

I'm sure a normal person would tell that they became a blank pretty fast (Blank = soul gone) After all if you lose your soul you start to become less human emotionally first and foremost, but for marines that are already fearless and hardly human it might take a hell of a lot longer.

but ya, Space marine 2 was going to be, guy joins the deathwatch as a black shield, finds out he's a blank (no soul) and space marine 3 was going to be going after the guy that took it and getting revenge/saving the company

Attached: stop-it.png (214x200, 30K)

That's Vulkan, who inherited what little humanity Emps had. Girlyman is just a pro bureaucrat, diplomat and statesman who's more interested in the state of his empire than his people.

>Still no 40k Game where I run around as a genestealer and try to topple a densely populated Hive world

Attached: Tyranids_9573ff_6220958.jpg (460x597, 61K)

Guilliman always has Sisters of Silence around him these days, which are blanks.

Literally my dream game

Space marines CAN breed (and primarchs to) its just, besides the space wolves and the salamanders none of the want to or even care about sex

Also, for the umpteenth time, the magpies are down to, like half a company in M.9999.
All the wargear in the galaxy, and no one to wear it.

Wew my dude stop posting wrong and retarded shit
First of, emps didnt want to artificially push humanity forward, he realized they were doing just fine on their own, and would show up only when shit was about to hit the fan, aka tyranids, he only intervened when he realized shit was fucked beyond repair.
Secondly the men of iron were just fucking fine and would remain so indefinitely, it was the chaos gods who fucked that up.
Humanity got fucked up by the Slaneesh waking up and making warp travel impossible, not the DAoT.
Again, primarch project went wrong because of chaos, are you some kind of fucking apologist or something?
Indeed the heresy was his fault for ignoring the signs. Neglecting his primarchs was an unfortunate circumstance, as he didnt see them as his actual sons but they still expected a father figure out of him.
And finally the current imperium was basically a consequence of the heresy.

Don't worry Cawl will be "gifting" them more than enough Primaris to replenish their ranks.

he's gonna be a primaris now...please...
seriously though with the plan being Titus getting his own chapter it would've been perfect for marketing primarines, even if they look kind of shit

Why was Dark Crusade so much better than Soulstorm bros?

I belive it is confirmed that they can not breed due to all the shit they get pumped in their making but they can still fuck.

First of all Governor Derosa is alive, well, still human and didnt age a second since system governors get anti aging treatment probably.
and Taldeer was dumb

The writing, voice acting, and overall presentation was 100% on point all the time.

tfw you will never easily beat the fire caste one in melee, pin her down and Attention heretic! Multiple third parties have reported one or more of your actions as inappropriate.

Hi /tg/, I was wondering, what is the best 40K game/spinoff on the PS4?

>random tau girl
>taking a fucking bolter from a sm's hand
>even a bolter pistol
what

Meme. He enjoys her company but he still does not trust her.

They are what a natural sentient race should be, i.e. not genefucked by the old ones and not actively mindfucking the warp by simply existing, if tyranids werent a thing they would be first in line to take over the galaxy on the simple virtue of not having massive turbo rapists from another dimension lusting over their souls.

Well if they allow chaos to take vigilus the only way the imperuim will be able to get past the cicitrix maledictum will be through the Tau's wormhole

>Gee Tyronius, why did the Emperor give you four antennas?

Attached: Capture.png (532x640, 573K)

Slaanesh isnt bound by something as pedestrian as gender, so i defaulted to a male pronoun

Tau btfo

>female sm
I though you wanted to enable boners not kill them with promethean
>Slaaneshi symbol
ohhhhhh

ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
Fuck off you heretic

Attached: notfuckingcanon.jpg (1280x720, 158K)

Well?

Attached: 40k_RPG.jpg (900x794, 114K)

Which book has this entire arc from rowboats revival to the temporary cooperation with th eldar covered? Is it Dark imperium?

gib watercaste gf pls

No. Probably 8th edition Codex and a little bit of Armor of Fate.

Well their DNA doesnt changes too drastically thanks to how the geneseed works, but i guess it still could impossibilitate actual reproduction.

these posts are cringy af

Just play Titanfall and use your imagination.

If you could pick a dev to make the next 40K game, who would it be? I would unironically go with Bethesda. Imagine a Skyrim/Fallout4 like game but with bolters, chainswords and lasguns. Breath taking hive cities with a whole 20 NPCs...

>Tau
>Major players
>Implying this doesnt means they're rotten as all bloody fuck somewhere the sun doesnt shines, and even on places that get a lot of fucking sun just like everone else.
At least while being less important they were more unique by actually representing common sense in a mad galaxy.

>He enjoys her company
here we go. He'll be fucking her soon enough

>TFW there is no mass effect scale space marine game
>TFW there is no dead space type tyranid survival with imperial guard protagonist
>TFW there is no hitman like Officio Assassinorum game

WHERE ARE THE SPACE MARINE GAMES WE DESERVE BROS? WHY EVEN LIVE?
Instead we get autism simulators (turn based strategy games) from no name studios.

Attached: 1459479536214.jpg (208x250, 8K)

Well there IS a samurai based chapter that hates ranged and never uses energy weapons nor anti-grav.
Which is ironic because samurai introduced muskets in japanese warfare
And Eldar have more weeb than Tau here and there
Orks wouldnt work too well because all japanese are sure that orcs are actually pigmen.

there you go bud

The 3 Gathering Storm codices give a lot of detail.

>Pretty Perty smiling
>No twins

Attached: 1552077437920.jpg (720x720, 387K)

Eh. I guess that works. Still, something as philistine as a bland default pronoun for a thing as unique as Slaanesh... I mean, if anything in any fiction unironically deserves the fucked up and weird pronouns and whatnot it's them.

Lol.

Attached: Chaos-kun.png (707x540, 423K)

Battlefleet Gothic : armada 2 is actually good though.

>>Pretty Perty
she's actually the ugliest of dem hoes

>Etherals who are actually kroot who ate psychics and have been using their prime psychers into play as the "etherals"
LOL, cultist propaganda gets dumber by the year.

I'll see how Cyberpunk ends up before I commit to CDProjekt.

Blizzard could take a crack at RTS. They're probably still kicking themselves over losing that GW cash years and years ago.
Classic Bungie could do a pretty good shooter.
Firaxis could make a nice turn-based option.

I still want to see a Phoenix Lord game by Platinum.

beshitsda can't make a good game to save their lives, why would you doom 40k to this shit?

Nobody held them hostage, GW doesn't give a shit, they just sell the license to whoever wants it (hence the barrage of kusoge with 40K in the title). Streum on are legit fans of 40K and kept updating deathwing of their own accord.

I agree.

>Lion'el wearing green but Magnus in red and Angry Ron in blue/white

The longer I stare the angrier I become.

The Salamander is, ironically, not black enough.
They're supposed to be coal-black. Unnatural.
Yes, THAT is the lore in this picture that bugs me.

Could fire on another planet as a warning shot.

Yeah, they're called black templars, memelord.

Yeah, the Damocles crusade went swimmingly for the cultists.

Introducing Arkane Studios' newest hit:

Eversor

We all know the best part of Dishonored is going on an absolute rampage with all your powers, sneaking about.

Attached: Eversor vs. Farsight - Supplement Mont'ka (7E-p98).jpg (1186x2750, 1.65M)

>even a well populated tau planet may number less than even a single hive in population.
Nah, that doesn't work because they occupy a ton of human planets, hives included, and have tons of different races under their command, so their reproductive cycles have no bearing on their overall population.

Emperor pls

Attached: IMG_6078.jpg (598x949, 136K)

Not* sneaking about.

it's a matrix reference you child. It's ok to not like how people use it but not seeing the matrix by now is punishable by death.

I think it's actually a necron artifact, not chaos.

That would imply the woman is and actual salamander which is even more wrong you fucking dingus

MOTHERFUCKER, DID YOU JUST ASSUME XIR WHO THIRSTS' GENDER?

Chaos gods are just warp energies, anyway, assigning a personality and look to them is an imperial thing.

>mfw thought they were just generic pinups
>It's primarch r63

You can still look like a knight and wear camo color

>Introducing Arkane Studios' newest hit:
>Eversor
Huh. That would actually work fairly... wait, ZeniBeth got them, RIP in pepperoni.

Id like to imagine he was inducted into the Death Watch and proceeded to kick seven shades of shit out of Xenos off screen. Thats the perfect end for him, in the Death Watch wrecking Tyranids for the rest of his life.

Lovely salamander wife please and thanks
>the woman is and actual salamander
that's the point though

This right here.
The majority doesnt want to acknowledge it due to nostalgia and what not but turn based games are simply shit and ot doesnt help the franchise that it is flooded with them from 100 different developers just to squeeze some bucks out of said idiots who buy it.

Not only does the general opinion suffers but potentional settings and scenarios are dead due to those licenses.

post the edit outlining ig's excellent and dignified due process in such situations

HOLYYYYYYYY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT

You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded, Prey and Dishonored are great games.

see

>that guardsman with a bolter
Brutal

That 8th ed? Why are they making them look less alien and horrifying-yet-somehow-alluring? Also too much of a generic/modern MMO influence.

>no Dark Eldar Reaver racing game

This picture really needs its context. You could also assume they've got less than noble intentions.

Attached: thbuufzon0011[1].jpg (1024x443, 144K)

You're mum is a fag and Dishonored was butchered and exactly because of those fuckers. That's how they essentially forced Arkane to be sold.

Theres something about Chief Librarian Traitorius Hereticus that I don't trust.

> Dishonored was butchered and exactly because of those fuckers
What are you even talking about? You somehow get dumber by the post.

it's made by some random company, not gamesworkshop.

I hope not, fucking traitor.
Also put on your fucking helmet god damn.

I have always wondered if, apart from the Emperor, there are still humans around from the "dark ages" / scientific domination era of humanity?

I just want a proper rts sequel for dawn of war.

Or an inquisition game. God knows they recruit all sorts of scum

Attached: ChaosMarine.png (104x153, 15K)

Perpetuals. Some are older then the Emperor but not as powerful or influential.

no

This boy right here served in Napoleons army, during the french defense at Verdun and also he was part of Jason and the Argonauts in their quest to find the Golden Fleece. Not to mention hes the only surviving Catholic in the whole of 40k. Suck on that protestantshits.

Attached: Ollanius_Pius.jpg (600x853, 89K)

and these are human? Or just old species like the Eldar?

Because if they are human that would be epic as they could actually become a thread by for example reviving the army of Iron men.

Damn. Strange though as the technology survived even until the 40K era. There should be some humans frozen or who uploaded their consciousness.

*Threat

sorry typo

You mean used to be right? Because now its a reddit lite hell hole full of leftist
I don't give a shit about politics, but christ the amount of smug left leaning faggots on their who push their politics into traditional gaming need to fuck off. The janitor ruined /tg/ and after the great purge its nothing more then a corpse puppet.

>no darkest dungeon mods yet that turn all heroes into 40k archetypes
Get on it, faggots

>hes the only surviving Catholic in the whole of 40k
Doesn't that mean he gets purged for heresy?

Its fantastic if you like that type of game. The devs only doing top down action rpgs and it shows, its what they know. The VA, lore, story, mechanics are all fantastic and the dev team clearly understands 40k. However, if you don't enjoy that type of repetitive gameplay you wont like it.

Attached: Heh.jpg (623x414, 40K)

I regret backing the first reaper bones. Bendy swords everywhere

You mean infront of a statue of Titus? The literal defining dif between Titus verse and normal is he has Cato's job so prolly true

>>don't know much about the lore, but aren't humans by definition soul-bound beings in Warhammer with significantly powerful souls? Isn't the soul potency what makes Chaos stronger?
No, humans have meh souls, but are apparently on the Crux of evolving into a hyper powerful psychic race (See Malcador for an example, or maybe even the Emps). Eldars are explicitly stated to have the strongest, most vibrant, most tasty souls. But Slanesh has dibs on them.
Of the major races,
Eldar are dibbed
Tyranids are anti-warp
Orks are dibbed
Tau have shit souls
Necrons have no souls

Humans are just the default thing to go for when every other species is taken or shit

What's the best short story and why is it The Last Church?

There are immortals who predate the emperor still alive and supposedly a few thunder warriors survived to 40k despite being killed and being short lived. Also the custodes. The dude on Mars who watched over the dragon until a chick took over, that chick. Quite a few.

Persistent campaign maps are lit, that's why
