When I'm requesting instead of making art (can't fap to my own art) I tend to switch characters with each delivery. I'll ask for a character, get the character and then switch to another for next thread. The spacing out I feel helps me get deliveries more consistently

This thread is not a charity, artists only draw what they want to draw. With that in mind you have a better chance of getting a delivery with something broad.
The only repeat requests people hate are the stupidly specific ones like:

Hell, an artist could just like drawing that character and actually want to draw a whole bunch of requests revolving around them. The point is people will draw what they want to draw, and the more specific the request is the less likely someone is going to take it.

I feel like with lewds it gets less enjoyable the less clothes they have on. Unless the artist is able to nail the style of the source material it starts to lose any recognition unless it's a super stylized character.

im not the same guy but I definitely use these threads as a means to keep me drawing. I had major burnout after college and stopped drawing for a while so now im basically relearning and improving my figure drawing.
I know Yea Forums in general is so rough and volatile that to most people it just fuels them to be lazy and spiteful people, but I just make an effort to filter what content affects me and what content I leave the site thinking about.
Very few communities online exist where anything truly goes. I can let out a little steam here and not take it out in real life, I can request and draw things my friends and family could think is criminal. None of that matters here.
even with lewd vanilla art I have very few friends who want to hear about or see it. at least here I can ignore the hate and take the crits without losing face. after all, everyone here is basically faceless.
