I honestly wouldn't mind if REmake 2 really is starting a different timeline. Everything after RE3 slowly started to get more and more ridiculous. I actually like every RE game/CG title but I wouldn't blame Capcom if they want to just erase all that. The Raccoon/Umbrella era of RE was somewhat more grounded, that seems to be what they're going for now and I hope they stick with that and do REmake 3.
