All right, give me a final answer. Is this worth playing or no?

Yes
Only if you want to be bored for hours on end. Everything about this game is dull.
Do you want to take control of a Japanese boy band on a combat oriented road trip?
There's your answer.
for 10 bucks
Combat is ass, but everything else is alright
No, it's the worst mainline 3D FF game. Even XIII is better.
No. I couldn't get more than 4 hours in. Gameplaywise, it was objectively a massive, steaming disappointment with an audiovisual aesthetic that was somewhat good subjectively.
Yes.
not for more then 20 bucks
It's the third best Final Fantasy, so yes.

barrykun at it again
I got it for 10 bucks and was still disappointed
Fucking neck yourself.
this right here. I got the game + EVERY dlc for 15 bucks and I wish I could refund it.
Nice to have all those dlcs for a boring ass game I'm never going to play again.
Nier:Overrata was better than this shitheap.
fuck no
I wasted 40+ hours on this pile of shit, the story is a fucking mess, the VA is just garbage, the combat is literally just smash X to win. It's fucking garbage. Don't do it to yourself. Pirate it if you want to try it.
If you have nothing else to do. Play the original Super Mario Bros for NES, or Tetris or even candy crush is more worth of your time than this huge turd.
But it's not though, XIII is irredeemable garbage
Yeeeeah, gonna have to stop you there.
13 was trash, that's a given. But in no possible fucking way, is it worse than XV.
they both suck, but XV sucked more. I got like 10 hours into XIII before I decided I hated it. I didn't last so long on XV.
I've finished them both. XIII is worse.
In my opinion yes. I quote enjoyed a good chunk of the game.it has its low and high and its quite a unique experience to me. A solid 8/10 for me
You're never going to find a straight answer on this. It's extremely divisive. Personally, I enjoyed it a lot but I can see why others disliked it.
Sure. It gives away a lot of potential but it's fine.
Nah, i mean it had an interesting concept and pretty comfy atmosphere but its dull and boring most of the time. Also shit storytelling.
Yes
I honestly don't think so.
The second half of the game is way worse than the first, and - on hindsight - the first half wasn't that good either. I don't think I've ever seen a game so catastrophically mishandled since the previous Final Fantasy before.
I add that there's a serious lack of control. You can't directly command your party members, your magic spells inflict collateral damage, and you can't choose when you cast summons. Noctis zips around so fast the camera can barely keep up, and it never feels like you have a lot of control over a fight. (You never seem to do a lot of damage, though I freely admit I may have been doing something wrong.)
The plot, though, renders the entire adventure worthless. You'll know it when you see it. After seeing it all play out, it felt like the villain was bending over backwards to help you win, and he really did get everything he wanted in the end.
Yes main character is also fun to play as
No, don't support the slant eyed jews
I enjoyed it. It's a much slower burn than the typical FF but I liked that aspect of it. Combat is iffy but I never felt it got in the way outside of one terrible boss fight about 2/3 of the way through. I liked the characters and story, even if it was poorly told. Overall it's not a particularly good game but I don't think it's bad either.
yea
not worth paying for, though no game is
It certainly has its flaws and it's unlikely you wont notice them pretty quick but it's still a fun game. Your real enjoyment will ultimately depend on how much you can buy into the 'bros on a roadtrip' feel. If you buy into that you may even come out loving the game.
It's better now than when it first released and I personally did like it but I still wouldn't recommend paying full price for it.
notice that all the positive replies sound like people suffering from stockholm syndrome.
Not a huge fan of the changes but I like running around the world especially on the back of a chocobo. I'm destroying everything but I'm also massively over levelled because of the side quests.
All Final Fantasy games are different.
>game is three years old
>still nowhere to be found under €20
>they still haven't optimized the retarded 0.1 TB file size
They've also been updating it for three years, Price will probably go down later this year.
Got the royal edition for cheap and I'd say I got my money's worth. It's a rough game but still fun and an interesting analysis of the modern multi million dollar game
