It's easy to give her the pills but as soon as you talk about the injection she goes "I'm perfectly healthy, I don't need that" and bullshit like that. Pressuring her too hard only leads to outbursts and that's when she starts having her meltdowns. I know meds aren't the everything and you need to talk it out with people with mental disorders and yadda yadda yadda but babysitting these people takes a toll on your sanity too

I'd recommend it. Once you find a vocation that clicks (or two or three or four, there's some real fun ones) you'll really enjoy it. I like it despite disliking RPGs, probably because it excels so much in the combat while its weakest aspects are the RPG parts (relatively small world, pause menu item use in real-time combat, most sidequests aren't worth it unless you're building affinity with a character or REALLY want the reward).

The first time you get ambushed by a Griffon, set it on fire, climb on it, slice its eyes until its feathers are stained in blood while 50 feet in the air, and bring it down so your party can finish it off with you, you'll feel it hard.

Definitely not a game to listen to DOOM while playing though. If not the in-game music (which is actually quite nice for the large monster encounters) then it pairs best with some good old Power Metal. I think Blind Guardian's later work is a perfect fit.

Definitely! I've actually been into it for a while now but it's always been very stop and go. Though a lot of that was fanfic writing Funny that you mention starting with short stories, I'm inspired by Ray Bradbury's writings and was leaning in that direction as well. I've got a bunch of concepts, but very few have been put to paper, much less completed.
My problem is I have so many hobbies I can't focus on writing for too long (it's a silly problem to have in comparison). Guess we just have to make some time in our own way.

yeah, i've watched a friend play for a bit and although he wasn't the biggest fan, it looks like something i'd really enjoy. i can see what you mean about combat, that was probably the most appealing aspect from what little i saw. i think i'd be okay with the RPG aspects being a little weaker, though.. these days my pure RPG preferences lie in turn-based classics, modern open-world RPGs tend to feel too bloated for my tastes. but damn, describing a griffon encounter like that makes me wanna play even more.
