How good is the AI in combat.
Most of them are shit

It's actually good though. Fallout 76 is the bad one.

Why is this game so ugly?
I know new vegas and 3 aren't exactly amazing in the graphics department, but I legitimately can't stand looking at 4.

i have like 23 hours into the game, i feel bored. i started walking to diamond city i'm carrying to much.

Pretty good IMO, with a few caveats. They try to flank you, they take cover, they throw grenades, etc. However, they don't always take cover, and the game still suffers when using certain playstyles. Stealth Snipers will find that AI is really dumb, since they do the old "must have been the wind" thing, even if they can see a dead body. Overleveled players will find that the AI won't help the enemies survive their onslaught. You can see it best if you go for a medium ranged build, where positioning makes a difference.

It's the art direction. Everything is colored like a toy.

only the brotherhoods motives were consistent with the lore

minutemen: obvious danger to everyone, where did all these soldiers come from exactly? what are the rules of this paramilitary force
railroad: "synths being people" is just hammed in, no thought, lore, or in-game actions related to questioning this absolutely central question, which means everyone in this faction is mentally ill, even if they are accidentally correct
institute: they're made to be powerful and evil just to serve as the games' antagonists, a complete failure of the writers to create any story or motive

you have to be pretty astonishingly stupid to not notice that the instant the minutemen lost their charismatic leader, they turned into raiders
its the biggest raider zone in the game, called libertalia
the minutemen are by a very wide margin the largest threat to the entire region, and the fact that the writers both do, and don't address that fact proves what a schizophrenic piece of garbage the game is
