what did you think of the ending?
What did you think of the ending?
Cool but too much fanservice
I thought it was nice that Vergil wouldn't be left alone again.
>DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT
pure kino
Absolute anime tier trash and the SDT stuff reminds me of Power Rangers because of the new "realistic" engine
I unironically grinned from ear to ear for the last three missions because if you don't embrace the cheese you're never gonna enjoy DMC
Exceeded my expectations. Also,
>dante vs vergil fight
>fucker starts spamming summoned swords
>activate sword formation interceptor with Dante
Two can play at this game bitch. Felt like Shirou vs Gilgamesh, this game is fucking great.
Just another status quo ending. Need to see Vergil and Dante team up for an entire game for sure rather than be enemies
just swing your sword and throw them back at him
>Need to see Vergil and Dante team up for an entire game for sure rather than be enemies
>DMC6: Dante, Vergil and the Demon invasion that ended in 8 minutes because they are too strong together
It's pretty good, but I think we need a prequel or a new character to focus on. I'm not really sure where they could take the story from here with everyone so ridiculously powerful.
nothing happens: the game: the ending
that could be future dlc
pretty fun but I didn't actually get how Dante and Nero were actually able to keep up with vergil who ate that blood fruit which should lend him power
So is it just me or does the 'press R3 to show the direction of the next objective' just flat out not work, even right after the tutorial on it?
>DON’T YOU DARE SAY IT!
>If I beat Nero, then by default I beat you. Agreed Dante?
I love how he's still a manchild
KINO
I
N
O
There's a mountain of content if they do a prequel with Sparda.
Dante kept up because he slept for a month and the tree gave him some power + he fused with Sparda/Rebellion. I have no idea how Nero kept up though. Maybe Vergil was tired, or maybe he wasn't really interested in beating the kid up. From the cutscenes, it didn't seem like he had any beef with Nero.
>Nero is now more powerful than Dante was before his sin DT
This annoys me more than it should but a little explanation would be nice.
>sequel made by anyone other than itsuno
no thanks
Men of Sparda's bloodline get stronger the more pussy they get. Sparda was strong because he had a hot, blonde wife. Dante was pretty strong because he sometimes gets a piece of Trish/Lady. Nero has a hot wife he bangs regularly, so his potential skyrocketed. This also explains why Vergil is so weak.
I don't remember Dante or Nero being fine with civilians being killed in the past games so why are they all best friends at the ending? That faggot Vergil gets away with killing innocents for free.
Because Urizen and V seem to be their own separate entities, even if they're Vergil.
I think Vergil was even disgusted with what Urizen did.
I will go by my headcannon that since they fought for like 30 minutes before Nero arrived they were pretty weakened
So we dragon ball now?
Nero has more of a human heart, which makes him a lot more powerful than his half demon relatives.
vergil was corrupted by mundus and not really aware of what he was doing
Vergil is the only one of the three who had a kid
>book of Urizen
>Dante
>Vergil
>black crow
>and lot more
why don't you read, Yea Forums? this franchise incites you to read
Mundus gave that nigga intense PTSD. What the fuck did he do to him between 3 and 1?
I liked it overall. Not a big fan of Nero's DT look, I wish it looked more like his 4 DT concept art or just had shorter hair. Itsuno said he wanted to leave door open for potential sequels and he definitely did. Dante and Vergil are stuck in hell and out of the way, so there could be a story of them getting out which would line up with the Divine Comedy since Vergil is familiar with hell and would have to lead Dante to the exit. Nero, Lady, and Trish can still do things in the human world and Nero can still be challenged. The only thing is I don't want a sequel from anyone other than Itsuno, and he's expressed multiple times that he wants to move on to other projects such as DD2. I'm not content with them leaving the story here, but I'll take it, at least we know everyone's alive.
We've always been kinda DB. Itsuno compares DT to SS, human hybrid ends up stronger than pureblood relatives, Dante and Vergil training together.
anal rape
Thanks, that managed to calm my autism a slight bit. I'm still fucking mad
Yes
That was years ago though, and only once.
Is M19 the actual final boss? M20 might as well have been a cinematic victory. Is it better on higher difficulties?
You need to hold it to make it appear
This, they were gasping when Nero got there
You had me going there for a second. I agree with you completely.
user, you scared me there for a second.
Cavaliere also gives me some Power Ranger vibes and I love it.
That line made me cringe by itself, but Dante doubling down on it made it great
say they want vergil punished, what can they do? the only guy strong enough to even touch vergil is dante which is why he says that he needs to go to the underworld to keep an eye on his old man
It's pure shit. It's not worth to wait eleven years just for the fact that Vergil is alive (like nobody knew that already) and then it's another fucking cliffhanger. Also, they gave Vergil an absolute disgusting persona, in 3 he was a villain but had his moments, now he's just a weirdly smiling psychopath willing to kill Dante every way possible and that's not okay Dante and Nero are absolutely okay with that. Nobody really had any growth, Nero just figured out his intentions in the last five minutes and it actually would be more logical if we saw some events that influenced him in the actual game. New players don't even know who the fuck is Credo, why mention him at all? It was nice to hear that telephone dialogue but it's not nice to explain an important decision of a character not through some events but through some telephone call with another character who we don't even see in the game at all. It's like 4 again when Nero didn't really have any moral obstacles on his way besides physical ones and at the end it turned out he had self-indentification issues though it was barely seen it the game. Thus said, the story feels like a filler even more that 4, people feel it and that's absolutely unacceptable.
Because in DMC power is defined by ANIME rules. Same reason why Dante is still stronger than Vergil despite Vergil having the power of the fruit, because Dante and Nero had the ANIME power up driven by love and freindship and all that nonsense.
I mean he’s trapped in the Underworld. Not like there’s much more damage he could cause or any kind of punishment they could deal out.
human blood gives demons power. Nero has more human blood than either brother.
you don't know what a cliffhanger is
Sparda only had a human wife after he gave up his power. His strength came from waking up to JUSTICE.
bad.
"hey we're gonna go cut the root and close the portal"
oh nice I guess one more missio-
>lol the end, don't even show they cutting it or the portal closing
t-thanks itsuno.
>V goes straight to Dante for help
>restored Vergil fights Dante then immediately goes to stop the invasion
>Urizen can only remember Dante due to the association with power
I think it's fair to say that Urizen is a separate entity from Vergil, even if Vergil still created the situation I don't think it was deliberate. It reminds me a bit of Rise of the Tomb Raider, weirdly, where someone fucks up quite colossally but not deliberately and the game just keeps moving on from it.
This reads like a pasta, but I'll go for it. While I agree that the story isn't up to par with the gameplay, which was worth the wait, I didn't completely hate it. Bingo's writing has just gotten really poor over the years, he's been influenced too much by LN's and it shows. The story operates on the understanding that the player knows the DMC story. I didn't watch the History of DMC in the game but I'm sure that explains just enough to bring new players up to speed, the problem is that the story just won't have the impact on them like it does on those who have been following the series since DMC1, and I mean since DMC1, not those players who played the HDC and 4SE a couple of months ago.
He also recognized Dante the moment he said Jackpot. It seemed like that's a word that both sides of Vergil remember.
The game really sucked man. We waited 11 years for DmC2. I'm not even trying to be a faggot saying this, the devs were clearly fans of DmC and it feels like they got rid of the old staff.
I feel like the reason Nero getting DT was kind of contrived since all of the shit that happened in DMC4 had way more impact to him then than here
he essentially got DT to stop two manchilds to stop quarrelling
I love Nero's ending speech, it almost feels like a proper passing of the torch sorta moment.
>I mean he’s trapped in the Underworld.
user the underworld is so easy to break out of at this point they should install revolving doors.
In Mission 16 V says Vergil is Dante's older brother. I thought Vergil and Dante were twins, was that retconned?
>it almost feels
nigga dante literally said we are leaving the entire world in your hands, it can't be more clear than that
Vergil slipped out before Dante.
is a japanese thing to have one of the twin brothers act like the older one even if is because he was born 1 second earlier
Yep, building all that tension and suddenly leaving players with a fact Dante and Vergil leave for the Underworld without any new interesting details about Sparda/Mundus/Demon world is not a cliffhanger, okay, buddy.
>he says it
Nigga the fuck are you talking about. It feels nothing like the shitshow that was DmC.
>Vergil comes back
>goes to the top
>does nothing
so did he not care about everything getting fucked up downstairs or did he just really want to fight Dante before doing anything else
Just to add on. It's not new that Dante calls Vergil the older brother. In 3 Dante tells him "Come give your little bro a hug", or something to that effect.
Nah, it has to do with him feeling powerless all the time and then feeling even more powerless to stop the deaths of even more family members. He feels guilty that Credo died (which he assuredly only found out after the game was already over) and didn't want to lose Dante (or a chance to at least get to know Vorgil, I guess). Also Kyrie's existence empowers him, so hearing her voice when he's fucking questioning everything about himself AGAIN after finally getting some answers supercharged him.
What plot threads are left unresolved or left hanging?
The demon invasion is stopped, Lady and Trish are running Dante's Devil May Cry with Morrison, Nero and Nico are still out there fighting demons, and Dante and Vergil are locked in an endless battle in hell, just what they always wanted.
It was the exact kind of ending this series needed. Just fucking give everyone some closure while still leaving it open to make up some more shit later. If itsuno pulled another half baked DMC4 ending or a deliberate cliffhanger like KH3 I would've been pissed
Even the extremely balatant undertones that itsuno wants the series to be about nero, a character he actually made, didn't feel too forced because dante and vergil paid back his animu angst mode bitchslap in full
His whole motivation is to prove that he's better than Dante, but Vergil agreeing to take care of the tree after the fight shows that he has grown a little.
L3, and you have to hold it
>DMC1
muh Nelo Angelo
>DMC3
muh Vergil
>DMC4
muh Vergil's son
>DMC5
muh Vergil
Where were you when you realized the entire series has only one plot point
the entire story was contrived, this game is the definition of soulless
And? Everything else is DmC.
Is there a torrent yet?
co-op when? I want to snatch enemies out of someone else's combo
I liked that they were setting up V to be a good guy vergil that wants to be redeemed like all the yaoi lovers would want only for it to all be a fucking scam
I dunno why they explicitly brought attention to V just being a big throwback to DMC1 bosses in story if they weren't going to give him anything from phantom. Did vergil just not have him on his radar because he's a big piece of shit that dies by falling onto a statue?
>Everything else is DmC
not the characters
certainly not the combat
not the story
I'm sad. Its a good send off. I'm going to miss them.
Maybe he only interacted with Griffon and the gang when he was Nelo Angelo. Maybe they made it so he didn't fully become Mundus' knight? Griffin was a cool guy even as a Mundus general.
>muh Nelo Angelo
but DMC1 wasn't about Nelo angelo...
The rest is completely spot on tho
The ending was good up until Nero showed up.
Turning Nero into Donte felt a bit out of place for his character.
Itsuno did say that he'd be willing to make DMC6 if he has some more ideas. As it is now he used them all for DMC5, so he wants to make DD2 or Rival Schools Final Year.
Yes the characters.
>cursing constantly
>dialogue is cringy full of shit jokes
>often times characters don't even reply to one another, dialogue is disjointed as fuck
>they look awful
This ties into the shitty story as well.
Combat is just slightly improved DMC4.
Except unlike Donte, Nero saying fuck you actually had meaning and emotion behind it and it wasn't him trying to be edgy
Dude, if you haven't played the game why are you even commenting on it?
Why does changing music not do anything? Is it only for certain missions? I noticed the three main songs don't actually play all the time but that's kind of dumb if that's the case.
>Combat is just slightly improved DMC4.
which is vastly better than DmC
>eat super demon fruit McGuffin for 3/4th of the game
>loses tentacles
>becomes weaker and easier to beat
>loses to Dante +DSD
Lmao what a genius
And that's the problem, it shouldn't be like this when it comes down to characters' motivation. It was already like this in 4, when all the stuff about Nero's past was in the novel and it he just didn't clicked for many players because they simply didn't know any drama behind him. What was good about 3 it didn't even try to give players too much info and just used the game elements to tell the story, it was simple and elegant, that's why people like though we didn't really know what exactly happened between Dante and Vergil until now.
the final vergil fight is exactly out of DmC. vergil has the same outfit, he has a bunch of moves from the DLC (this started in 4SE), he has a bunch of shitty CINEMATIC SLOWDOWN WOAH and cutscenes to break up the pace of the fight, and he spends the entire fight teleporting away like a bitch to throw projectiles instead of actually fighting
I just finished it.
And? Everything else is DmC.
dmc characters swearing started with the anime (which is canon again) and nero swore a whole bunch in 4
Nobody’s ever claimed Vergil was smart.
I still dont get why Iago, Oscar winning MCU movie and the iron giant kamkiazed into Dante.
It's good. Credo should've been brought up in an earlier scene and Vergil's sins should've been acknowledged but good.
the gameplay is all that matters
and the characters are still better than DmC since they actually have some emotional connections rather than just a bunch of angsty teens fighting the man
He was only powerful because he was directly attached to the tree. The fruit made it so he didn't have to rely on it anymore so he lost a good amount of the Qlipoth's power.
Having a kid doesn't = more pussy. You can have sex literally once and get some one pregnant.
It's a flaw imo. I should they should remove them. The "FUCK YOU" would've been better a "ROCK YOU". You acknowledge DmC without foregoing the DMC identity.
I honestly can't understand how some people think this game had a weak ending. The last 4 missions are straight up the most hype I've ever been in a game. Going straight from King Cerberus to Urizen 3 to the Trio fight to fucking Vergil was one of the best sequences I've ever played through. DMC5 easily has the best Dante bosses in the entire series and the victory lap with Nero was a great way to end things off while setting up for SoS mode.
oh yeah, and vergil has doppleganger now for some reason.
>the gameplay is all that matters
And it wasn't even good. I didn't play DmC because it was cringy as fuck, I knew this game was going to follow that but I wanted to see just how bad it was.
I wish the Nero vs. Vergil fight was more difficult. They just wanted Nero to look as cool as possible and I guess that's what happened. I loved it though. Anime as fuck
You just have autism if that got you hyped. Or you're a toddler.
>And it wasn't even good
objectively incorrect
at the same time fighting the exact same boss again but as a second character right afterwards would be tension deflating as hell
its a real fight on higher difficulties anway
Mission 17 Urizen is indeed really retarded. He kept punching the ground and doing soccer kick as if you're fighting him grounded, but even noobs will be jump cancelling aerial raves and trickstering around him. Literally easier than goliath. At least the previous form has tentacles and summon crystal that shoots laser and annoy you. Nu Urizen is a total joke.
Design-wise, with eyes around him I feel like he's meant to be Dante's first boss Balrog. Balrog also have eyes around the gauntlets and boots.
I think it was really strong but Credo barely being brought up before Nero's speech and Vergil's sins not being acknowledge feels wrong. Dante vs Nero vs Vergil would've been better than Nero vs Vergil desu.
>STOP LIKING THINGS
I have never met anyone with an opinion so objectively wrong. For someone who claims to have beaten it you aren’t acting like it.
I believe it. I'm willing to bet Vergil will show up in bloody palace too.
kino
but Nero finally meet his dad and realized Dante was his uncle
he only got to have one fight with his dad and then he left
will Nero ever reunite with Vergil?
>no argument
Cool fanboyism kids.
your brain is actually damaged
like, an actual child could wrap their head around the fact that dante and vergil. you're unironically autistic if you can't perceive their sense of closure. at best you can argue that it was written poorly, but then you would still be understanding the point, which you totally missed
Yamato means Dante and Vergil can come back at anytime so Nero has not seen the last of them.
Isn't Vergil once again trapped in the underworld? Dante too.
PREPARE
what has been said to argue against? We said the gameplay is good, you said it isn't. Thrilling debate skills.
>defeat Dante
>acquire power
>???
>human stuff like caring
I would not mind if DMC6 was Dante and Vergil wrecking the underworld and killing Mundus, also wouldn't mind if it was set inbetween 3 and 1 to scaleback Dante's abilities, as far as character development goes for Dante the only thing i can think of is children, Dante having kids might be a new take on his character, see how he deals with it and maybe use this as a way to show a little bit of his relationship with Sparda.
The most crazy out there possibilities would be a prequel with Sparda or a far in the future sequel with a Dante descendant, if they really wanted to experiment with the franchise
Some kids get hyped playing plants vs zombies too.
Nero's waiting for Dante and Vergil to return, Mundus promised to come back a long time ago and we still don't fucking now anything about Sparda's story. It just feels fucking unsatisfactory to get through all that bullshit with Urizen and V just to see Vergil. So that was so fucking important about him if he can't stay more than for minutes? People waited for his return since DMC 3 and now he's gone and Dante too. It's waiting again.
>once again
they'll be out the minute they finish beating the shit out of each other
>what has been said to argue against?
The truth. You didn't even say the gameplay was good only that it matters. Ergo you can't argue at all, you're just a dumbass fanboy.
They sort of were incarnations of Nelo Angelo.
You keep claiming that it’s like DmC. It’s not, DmC had shit gameplay and story progression that never really felt like a DMC remake. DMC 5 feels like a continuation of all the previous games with improved gameplay.
Just because you keep insisting that it’s DmC doesn’t mean it is. So shut the fuck up.
>STOP LIKING THINGS
>I mean he’s trapped in the Underworld.
He has the Yamato, they are anything but trapped
>the truth
provide evidence for your claims
They were the manifestation of Vergil’s ptsd as Nelo Angelo and instead of returning to him and giving him back those feelings they decided to die so he could be free of them.
Vergil 3 on DMC3 also has pacebreaking moments.
The only moment you cant hurt him is when he does the ultra judgement cut and even then you can royal guard it and release later, same to when he starts flying, royal guard the dive and use Dante sword formation to break is summoned swords.
I dont know why im explaining this to you since you sound like a scrub.
Pretty much, M19 is final boss while M20 is the victory lap
TO
Why this game is so fucking anti-climatic? Fans have waited for some epic conclusion where Dante and Vergil teaming up against power up Mundus or Urizen or whatever Demon King, but we've got some soap drama about daddy issues.
How they fucked up so badly? Atleast gameplay is okay i guess.
Vergil boss fights have always been about him dodging and hitting with range attacks and fucking you up the moment you get close. This isn’t a thing DmC invented it just made a shitty version of it.
>DMC 5 feels like a continuation of all the previous games with improved gameplay.
This would only make sense if it wasn't clearly inspired by DmC in every way it could be. Gameplay it's 4 but slightly better. Every visual and auditory aspect was inspired by DmC which makes it a shit game.
4's problems go deeper then poor writing, we all know that. The reason why most characters fall flat is because they've already gone through their character arcs. Dante is ready to slow down and pass the torch, Lady says it herself that she wants to take it easy. Nero calmed down after 4 but he still has his underlying issues of not wanting to lose family again. It would have been nice to see some of that brought up, but within the context of the story, when could he have? Remember that within the context of the story, the events take place over the course of a single day. I think a heart to heart between Nero and V could have helped. They could have talked about their desire to not want to lose anyone, but for some reason they had V pour his heart out to Trish of all people. It's funny to think that Vergil talked about his issues to the image of his mother, but Trish doesn't give a fuck and the whole exchange just gets brushed aside. I was hoping that Vergil would reveal that his master plan was to get the powers of the fruit and fuse back with his human side so that he could gain a massive powerup, escape from Mundus' seal and be on par with Dante. But it seems like he's ready to try to kill Dante all over again. The epilogue shows that he didn't and their more training rather than fighting. It's just a really roundabout way to bring Vergil back to life and also have the villain be Vergil. It's great fanservice, and again, I personally don't hate it, it's just not a good story and not as good as DMC3.
>we've got some soap drama about daddy issues.
that's literally all DMC has ever been
user please. The one with parental issues is Vergil and they’re mommy issues not daddy ones.
Dante just wants to fuck Vergil up for being such a idiot.
I think that's mostly the time/the generation's fault, Capcom games such as RE7, RE2 and DMC5 got increasingly more prone to have characters cursing around, probably to match the "realism" of the RE Engine to make it seem more "believable" as real people, they "matured" or so they think that made them or at least that's how I see what the reason probably is.
You keep repeating the same exact thing like you honestly believe it and it’s actually depressing. The fact that you think this game feels like DmC shows that you have only played that and 5. Play the others before you try and be a critic.
>characters all together
>V: Hey, Lady look.
>Lady: Yeah what is it, V?
>V: Is Dante crying?
>Lady: Looks like it. I suppose in this world even a Devil May Cry, V-
>Pizza guy: Deluxe Edition! Did someone order a deluxe pizza here?
Really Itsuno?
>their more
they're more*
I really liked it, Vergil and Dante reconciling...about as much as could be expected of the two was nice.
As long as they have Yamato they are fine
Does Eva have the same face as Trish? She looks way better.
>Ah yes separating myself worked and now I’m not dying
>Wait no both halves are rotting.
>Oh god the demon one is drinking everyone’s blood.
>Oh god stop.
>Dante help.
Nico and Nero dialogue was the best part of ending for me honestly. And im really surpirsed with Nico, she was really fun.
Kittens cry 'meow' Puppies cry 'woof' LMAO
I put 3 and 4 both above it.
Stop being a faggot, you haven't said anything to counter my posts you're just being autistic.
>Visual Aspects
>DmC was a grunge/punk aesthetic with a reliance on orange and blue color schemes
>DMCV5's aesthetic is more focused on modern designs with the organic demons working as juxtaposition. Red and Blue colours are only used for the standout characters
The only thing I'd really say was inspired visually from DmC was the way the city moves and breaks apart with the Qliphoth's tentacles, the shifting and changing scenery being the only good part of DmC imo. It's probably a troll post but I enjoy talking about visuals in stuff
Just finished it. Pretty much perfect, tbqh. Felt like everything wrapped up smoothly while leaving plenty of doors open for the future, not overly dramatic either which is nice. Characterizations were on-point, everything was just great really.
Would you rather see a DMC6 featuring Nero, or a Lady/Trish spinoff?
I'm convinced it's the same two or three shitposters doing it. It's always the same arguments
>No tension
>Vergil didn't get what he deserved for killing a gorillion people
>Hurr shit writing because Nero stronger than Sin DT Dante and Vergil (despite Dante and Vergil wearing themselves out against each other)
>color is the only visual aspect
Never go full retard nigger.
I kind of want a Lady and Trish spin-off. Wanna see how they do without Dante there as backup.
Both of them have been trapped in the underworld in almost every game and they somehow come back every time
>3rd game about Nero
yeah dude, as much as i like Nero its just unacceptable.
>Ignoring literally everything else in my post
3/10, got me to respond
The shitty character design, the shitty UI, the unaesthetic combat effects, and the modern rendering crap like blur and color filters everywhere.
Itsuno is clearly an autistic fag who is going to give Nero his own game next.
We don't have to know anything about Sparda. It's backstory. It doesn't need more detail. The fact that it isn't been expanded on is not a plot thread that's been left dangling.
>t. never played the game
fuck off barry.
whats the difference between the devil bringer snatch and the buster snatch?
Are you 12?
man the locales fucking sucked, Fortuna was way better. felt like I running through some kind of Monster Hunter map most of the time.
But the original conversation was about it being inspired by DmC. I don't care if you don't like any of that stuff but everything you just mentioned is vastly different to DmC in every way. "DmC's UI was shitty too!" doesn't cut the mustard
Ignore the DmCshitter, it seems you guys like to answer to baits
I don't think there is one, feels pointless using buster after completing the game.
Do you think Quentin is back to shit up these threads trying to make everyone hate DMC5?
I got nothing better to do
>mfw Nero is visibly shocked and thrown off at Vergil being his dad and Dante apparently never telling the kid they were even related until now
How did Nero literally never question why they looked alike in the years between 4 and 5? He's dumb but I didn't think he was THAT dumb.
I've already proved I played the game though.
It isn't though and it "cuts it" just fine. The older games had a similar style, the modern western influenced don't.
more damage and super armor on the charge
He probably just assumed Dante was his dad. Didn't really care enough to ask since he never seemed to care about who his parents were.
where did you prove it? By posting a screenshot of Vergil?
Damn that sounds fun, i just royal guarded each sword
He probably never thought about white hair being an oddity. He grew up in a cult that had very little contact with the outside world and he killed demons for a living. I'm disappointed he didn't mention anything about Dante being his uncle but it's understandable.
What was he thinking about, Yea Forums?
no, we have a new shitposter now.
also I'm pretty sure Quentin is still in jail
Within the story they could say more about Kyrie to show that Nero actually cares and even is afraid of losing family. It was touching to see his first reaction to a threat was a desire to save Kyrie, but then she just disappears. I was hoping that Nero would fight his fear of losing her and manage to avoid the mistake his father did. Vergil wanted more power because he was afraid of being weak - he was sure he lost his mother as he was to weak to protect her. They could use the similar motive in the game. Again, I too regret they missed the opportunity to make a dialogue between V and Nero where they would share their fears, they really seemed close but V just disappeared suddenly for the sake of Vergil's returning.
>I fuck one hooker and I get a kid.
>I've only eaten pizza for 3 weeks since I came back.
>Dante keeps telling me I'm a deadbeat.
>Kyrie is pretty nice though.
>We'll never see Vergil awkwardly trying to be a dad to Nero but ends up autistically talking about fighting instead
My screenshot yes, and it will look different from every other screenshot of that instance because I'm using graphics mods.
How ugly they made him. Imagine ruining a character like Vergil.
He looks great though. Nigga is 40 now.
how else was it visually inspired by DmC exactly? they don't have the same aesthetic at all.
They are literally out after the credits lol
I mean that's what I assume to that he just figured Dante was his deadbeat dad but some kind of nod to that would have been nice. Overall I just thought it was kind of funny that while Nero is staring at the dude who looks astonishingly like him and has crazy powers similar to his he's acting like them being related is the most unbelievable thing Dante has ever told him.
Don't even reply to him, man. He's just here to shitpost because he hates his life.
He looks like a fucking beaner with awful hair.
>he thought Dante was his dad
>here this random screenshot of Vergil will prove I played the game
>not my fucking results screen which is probably all Cs and Ds
>Dante and Vergil party it up in hell now that Vergil's mellowed out
>Three days pass, the twins sober up
>They realize they've lost Yamato
>DMC6 is them hungover and retracing their steps to find Yamato ala The Hangover
it's weird, he looks ugly in some shots but normal/handsome in others. I guess that's realistic though everybody has bad angles.
>damage control
The ending felt a bit contrived honestly.
I understand that DMC is anime and all, but the way Nero manages to become more powerful than both Dante and Vergil through a phone call and somehow manages to convince them both that they should stop fighting because I don't want "muh family dying" felt a bit much.
Happy endings are good and all, but they should feel earned.
>Nero
>Nero why are you looking are your well-functioning arm
>you can use Devil Trigger now Nero
>Nero when are you going to stab yourself so you can be like me and Dante
>we can fly Nero
Only on chapter 10 but Nico is a fucking cutie. Holy shit
Was okay I guess, but it felt like it was missing a whole lot of shit right there at the end. The “DONT SAY IT” was funny but I wish we got to do at least two or three more missions with them actually destroying the roots and fighting some other big demon down there together.
>Im related to THAT asshole?
your random screenshot of Vergil has not convinced me, Barry
Seeing Vergil interact with Nicest Person Ever Kyrie would have really been something.I feel like his turbo autist ass would have either been completely unable to be anything but polite or he'd be such an idiot he'd try to challenge her to a fight too. No middle ground at all.
too much anime fan service
honestly just came off as really forced and too light hearted given how serious and dark the roots of the series are
Vergil is basically the root cause of everything being that shit though, so what can you do, this game really ruined him as some throwaway anime rival beaten into friendship bullshit
>Nero stabs himself with Red Queen
>Devil Trigger grows a V8
>Nero our new demon forms give us great asses.
>Don't you want a great ass, son?
>Kyrie has told me she hates how flat your ass is, Nero.
Nero came in fully rested and with newfound power while Dante and Vergil were fighting each other. Nero beat a weakened Vergil.
Real people don't have bad angles like shitty video game models to. They're generally proportionate even if they're relatively ugly. Don't defend bad modelling, that's all this is.
And I don't care if he looks like a normal person sometimes(arguable), he doesn't look anything like Vergil should. He looks like a beaner cosplaying as him, it's so fucked up.
DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT
This.
I feel Vergil should have appeared maybe like 3 missions earlier.
>Vergil throws summoned swords
>Stinger, breaking all the swords while pushing forward
God that was cinematic as fuck
>Nero I challenged your wife to a fight
>she said she's just a normal human
>I thought I raised you better than that
>Real people don't have bad angles like shitty video game models to. They're generally proportionate even if they're relatively ugly. Don't defend bad modelling, that's all this is.
I don't think he was badly modeled, he looked ugly from some angles and looked fine in others like a person.
>He looks like a beaner cosplaying as him, it's so fucked up.
i don't even know what this means
Are you fucking stupid, why would I have emotional connection for a poorly written story at all? The ending felt anti-climatic and weird, Vergil's motivation seemed weak af and Dante couldn't decide for himself would he rather kill Vergil or spend an eternity with him in Hell. And if it was poor written and hardly left any emotions, why would I consider the ending relevant at all? Jesus Christ, guys, you will eat shit if it'd be released by Capcom and feature Vergil from Devil May Cry©®™ Series.
Yea, that's pretty much it right there. There was more bickering then actual interactions between the characters. The story would have had more room for that if the events did take place over the course of a week or a month, but the problem is that Dante figured out what to do and cleaned up within the course of a couple of hours. They had to knock him out for a whole month for the situation to get as dire as it did. Itsuno put much more effort into the gameplay than the story and it's sad that the story is what the majority crowd is going to look at, judge, and influence Capcom's decision's about the franchise going forward. I don't think it'll get as bad as DmC of course, but it's still worrying.
>Nero, this Nico girl seems like a suitable candidate for a Sparda child.
>Fuck her once like your old man did to your mom, Nero.
>Make daddy proud and give him a proper grandson.
>Dante gets to go to the Underworld with his brother this time
>It's what he's wanted to do since DMC 3
Good ending.
I'm not that into Nico, but goddamn does she have them DSL's.
You have autism.
>I don't think he was badly modeled
He definitely was, the base model actually looks attractive and white whereas the in-game model he's ugly and his face is fucked. A beaner is a term for mexican and cosplay is when you dress up like video game characters.
>Nero you know, I've never raised a kid, but it can't be different tan killing a demon lord, you just gotta push harder, cut a few of it's arms, maybe make his wife abort, that kind of thing, the point is, I hope to be a good dad to you.
>He definitely was, the base model actually looks attractive and white whereas the in-game model he's ugly and his face is fucked
Can you point out how his base model is actually different from how he is ingame? They look the same to me.
>A beaner is a term for mexican and cosplay is when you dress up like video game characters.
But he doesn't look Mexican.
I don't have the picture but they don't even look remotely the same. He does look mexican.
You're blind, don't reply to me again.
>I don't have a picture
Find one then nigga.
The final boss was underwhelming, but I like Vergil and Dante fighting endlessly and I think Nero taking over Devil May Cry is nice, though if they do continue the series I hope there's less Vergil, though I feel like he'd need to have some presence so he can be written out, and I'd want Dante to go back to Devil May Cry If they don't make a sequel then I'm happy with Dante's ending just being him fighting with and against Vergil forever.
>I can't explain how they're different but they are
okay
>He does look mexican.
He's as pale as Dante. Can you point out what features in particular resemble a Mexican Native?
What are the unlockable rewards for SOS mode and harder?
Playable Vergil when?
>Vergil and Dante eventually leave hell
>Vergil has abandoned his neverending quest for more power
>instead has set his sights and motivations toward a new goal
>Lurks behind Nero in his garage once more and a voice echoes...
>"I need grandchildren"
>Can you point out how his base model is actually different from how he is ingame?
To bump in onto this matter and just leave this here.
>V isn't his own person
What's the fucking point then?
Anyone else using only Dante(sword) with E&I in the vergil fight to get the most kino experience?
>real people don't have bad angles
Yes they do, they also have good angles. That's why Instagram thots use specific angles for selfies.
>Nero give me a grandson and grandaughter.
>Name the girl Eva, Nero.
>Cut the boys arm off when he turns 8.
We'll likely get Vergil, Lady and Trish DLC.
>"If I didn't have the chance to raise you, at least I could raise your child, BEAR ME A GRANDSON, NERO, KEEP THE SPARDA BLOODLINE ALIVE"
>Can you point out how his base model is actually different from how he is ingame?
>face is fatter
>jaw is larger
>eyes are way smaller
>nose is bigger
Read the rest of the sentence.
the true mark of a betamax is valuing the existence of another he's supposed to be competing against
for my first playthrough, I disabled all weapons aside from them. It's been 5 years since I touched a DMC game and I wanted to keep things simple and nostalgic.
>DMC coop
>Vergil and Donte endlessly banter with each other
>friendly fire: ON
How much do you want it Yea Forums?
My issue is that the whole game is basically a bookend to the series-wide story. As its own story it doesn't really accomplish much. It's also told terribly with pointless nonlinear narrative.
>Nero slowly comes to terms that this is his life now
vergil seems clear but I actually hope we don't get lady/trish DLC after how half baked they were in 4SE. they can't offer anything dante and nero cant
what I'd like more than anything is DLC to give V a bit more moves. only one cane technique? nothing referencing phantom?
So are mods possible after all? I'm hoping for a boss rush mod like DMC3 has.
Define your terms, then. In what way are they different?
Thank you.
As you can see in the image user posted he does look totally different. The quinty eyes, that bony forehead, and the generally fat lips and face are beaner features.
And look how long it took them to make the game. Kind of pathetic
>>friendly fire: ON
Even Capcom isn't that mad.
Wait a minute. Tameem? Is that you?
Have you finally gotten sick of you're game being shit so now you wanna shit on a superior game?
V all of the sudden is auto jumping to enemies and finishing them off. Did something change cause I don't remember any reason this would happen.
>Dante has to play the game like a proper story mode
>Vergil player's only objective is "Fight Demons" and "Fight Dante"
I don't think Trish can offer much, but Lady's at least unique in that she's a pureblood human who relies solely on her guns. I think she has the potential to have an interesting playstyle so long as they're willing to do more with her than just give her Gunslinger with more damage potential, which is how she felt in 4.
youtube.com
I'm pretty sure they made him look mexican to tribute this video. A lot of the dialogue at the end was just a tribute to DmC.
You have sincere autism to think that a 40s-50s year old man would look as handsome as he did when he was 19.
Dante looks like a homeless bum with yellowed teeth now and I fuckin love it.
DEMON ASS
Did Sparda have as glorious of an ass as his sons?
did they not use dante's face model for vergil?
>hire model to model him after
>fuck him up
>"Why did you expect of him to look like model they HIRED?"
Seems like one with autism is you.
If they wanted him to look certain specific way, they would've hired older model. Like they did with fucking Morrison. Or even Dante. They ended up hiring dude with pretty-boy-baby-face instead and they fucked up his face. So stfu.
>get to vergil fight
>decide to pull out RG in the heat of the moment
>parry his summoned swords and the following judgement cut
actually nutted too bad my game crashed before mission ranking.
are the latest NVidia drivers for the game without botched shit?
HE LOOKS SO FUCKING AWFUL WHEN HE TURNS HIS HEAD
I liked V so much as a character, shame he's probably never coming back
You do realize their argument is that Vergil looks like Bogged version of his model, right? Their argument isn't that he doesn't look like his 19 year old self, just that he looks off from his fucking model, sperge!
Can you imagine being Nero and getting flanked on all sides by manchildren?
His hyperautist dad and hobo uncle are in hell having the time of their lives trying to one up each other.
Trish and Lady are old hags that don't act their age.
And you just know Nico is already heading that way once she gets older.
At least Kyrie exists. And Patty.
Men generally get better looking as they age though and why are you defending realism in fucking DMC? God I hate you faggots.
don't worry bros. All the shitposters will leave in a few month's and we can talk about how capcom delivered a good game and post our combos.
Dude this nico chick looks so gross
You can burn in hell. Never talk shit about Nico again.
Can't fool me
Nero is more autistic than them though.
What did she mean by this?
This game will be forgotten in a few days, it was garbage.
Kill yourself.
Is this real?
As well as a new arm the DT also made his dick huge.
see? the place is so filled with nonfans that we question each other. I truly love dmcv and am having a blast farming orbs in SoS.
I feel like i'm missing something. What scene was that from
>that vergil fight
JESUS CHRIST playable dlc when.
tfw can't enjoy anyone in 4SE other than Vergil
I'm happy to see Dante and Vergil being bros finally.
My eyes are burning in hell looking at her
She looks like the result of her parents being first cousins but brother and sister at the same time
Because you can see his hairline from the front.
Funniest thing about it is that you can see widow's peak at his forehead. Which makes it look even more fucked.
I'M GONNA SAY THE J WORD
I embraced that shit hard. It hit a spot for me a bit, my brother and I always had an antagonistic sibling rivalry growing up. Nothing as extreme as DMC boys, but man, it felt good.
It's his fault he didn't want dante and vergil to kill each other and now he's stuck with em.
DONT YOU DARE SAY IT
Eva's ghost is gonna appear and shit on Nero for trying to save them.
>SAY IT VERGIL, SAY IT!
>... j-jackpot
>HELL YEAH
>prequel with Sparda
>DMC 3/1/2 Remake for normies inclusion on the saga
The sky is the limit
>tfw you and your brother have been estranged for years
>he just had twin boys
It hit me hard
Did Capcom explain why did they changed his model from Dante's?
What's the cliff hanger for KH3?
LETS GET AIRBORNE
RIDING HIGH
RIDING HIGH
LETS GET AIRBORNE
Nothing stops you from trying to be brothers again. You can always try and reconnect user.
What do you mean you're not sure where the story could go? They can finally reenact the Divine Comedy now that Vergil is guiding Dante in hell. You know you want it.
>Devil May Cry
>Serious and dark
I know they said they didn't have any planned DLC or big updates aside from Bloody Palace but I really hope they implement a playable Vergil in as DLC. They don't have to give him his own stages or anything like that, just let him replace Nero or Dante as an option in their stages or something.
How do I accidentally put Nero’s hoodie on?
is this just for cutscenes/boss or has some DLC been leaked?
>get through the vergil bossfight
>the final clash about to happen
>someone who looks like a demon appears between them
>expected he was some sort of "real final boss"
>hate when games do that
>start up the next mission
>mission description says "that's nero btw"
Better than the alternative, but I felt kinda annoyed that the description just gave it away like that.
Maybe I'm just retarded, but I had no idea he was Nero.
>mfw Nero can air dodge 5 times in a row why no delay once he gets DT and has gerbera equipped.
Taunt until you get the one where he puts the hood on.
brainlet
A-rank taunt I believe
I never played the previous Devil May Crys, can someone answer a few questions for me?
How did Yamato break in DMC4 or before?
What does Vergil mean when he says "Don't you dare say it"?
What does Dante mean when he says "Jackpot"? Is it a DMC3 reference?
>eva secretly wanted her children to kill each other so she can have them back
she was the villian all along
Sora does some weird keyblade bullshit he's apparently not supposed to do to bring Kairi back to life after Xehanort kills her. Whatever the hell he did, it's heavily implied that he's been sent to TWEWY's version of Shibuya for it. MoM's apprentice Luxu is also revealed to be Xigbar.
>You have sincere autism to think that a 40s-50s year old man would look as handsome as he did when he was 19.
Then why didn't they just used Cowie for him as well? Why did they hired a man that looks way younger than him? Your argument is as dumb as it sounds.
>he has time to read the loading screen descriptions
I really like nightmare but I thought a giant spider phantom as DT for V would've been more fitting for a Devil May Cry 1 tribute
3 is still my favourite, but the ending of 5 is of the same quality, shame the level design is so bland
Vergil is literally 5 seconds older than Dante
>given how serious and dark the roots of the series are
DMC3 ruined the series in terms of tone and story and you're never really going to get that back thanks to the CURAZZYY fags
It'll be even worse now because DMC5 was successful so you'll have this second wave of people who will only have played 5 and maybe 4.
It would be nice for it to go back to it's pseudo-horror roots but the vast majority of people just want a low brow memey action game
>buy all ex provocations
>dante has the worst of them
why
Does anyone else feel incredibly guilty using a revive? I did it once during DH on M5's boss and I felt horrible for the rest of the run. I never resorted to it again, but the feeling won't go away. Wish I didn't have severe autism.
Ok
I always taunt like an autist during combos and dodge and I was confused why I always had his hoodie on but didn’t know how I was doing it
>too much fanservice
>in the series that has had 2 good games until now
fuck off
>How did Yamato break in DMC4 or before?
Unknown. Maybe in his fight against Mundus.
>What does Vergil mean when he says "Don't you dare say it"?
He doesn't want to hear the J word.
>What does Dante mean when he says "Jackpot"? Is it a DMC3 reference?
DMC3 reference, yes. Its something they used to say when they were kids.
they can do it like kingdom hearts 3, disregard everything that came after, give amnesia to everyone and force everyone to adjust
broke in dmc4
autism and playful bantz
yes
I thought it was pretty FUCK YOU
6 will be a complete disgrace. It really makes me feel like shit.
Nero is just flat out stronger than both of them. He was barely keeping up before even unlocking his dt. Its kind of similar to dmc3 where dante is getting exponentially stronger once he unlocks his dt.
its not dlc, finish the game on Heaven or Hell mode to get it, or beat mission 19 without taking damage
post credits, dante and vergil are fighting (again) then demons appear and they ready their guards then vergil goes OH NO NO NO and dante goes JAGBOD :DD and then shoots towards the screen like old times
I used it a few times when i pigeon hole'd myself into a shitty check point by a boss with no health. I stopped having to after I git gud'ed.
Where'd you get the orbs?
why was vergil dying to begin with?
did he have demon aids?
when that happens, i buy a BLorb
>V's Ex Colors
Ehh, it's not that great. Nero's Provaction Recovery thing looks fun though.
oh man, why can't Sora just get to stay happy for once, I'm sur kairi wanted to fuck him even more by 3
is that the same way you get the v alt?
He jobbed too many times
I literally only used them on Dante vs Vergil. I got tired and wanted to watch the ending. At a certain point I just said fuck it but I regret it
Sold out bro. Sold out.
Mundus dick was too strong for his halfbreed body
Yeah.
Yeah, it's the kind of guilt I feel when I use a continue in a shoot-em-up. I just kinda get over it by reasoning that even if I use a continue now, I can just get better and do it right later.
Yeah, DMC 5 Trish hair is retarded, she should use like in 4 again. Lady still the best girl though
Too me it felt anti climatic. But I think it's a problem of the story in general, I had a hard time caring about the drama. The banter was top tier, though.
corruption in his body
/r/ing someone please shop vergils face on the white dude and nero on the black, and put dante behind them, im trash with photoshop
you get V's alt by killing more demons than vergil in the end credits i think
He was Angelo or whatever Mundas did to him, Dante had killed him, so whatever he regained of his original self was just breaking down and dying. At least his human self.
Literally no resolution to what happens in the mobile gachashit game that is a core part of understanding KH3
Almost every major plot point is just forgotten or teased to be in KH4
Sora dies but doesn't really die lol we'll find out in KH4
We don't find out what's in the black box box
We don't find out why everyone is a time and dimension traveling god
Somehow the fortellers are back
The list goes on, KH3 has more convoluted cliffhangers than it resolved
>gold orb
>it's actually a diamond
what did itsuno mean by this
DMC 0 Sparda game
or DMC 1/2/3 remake
>did he have demon aids?
Yes.
>than vergil
is there a segment as dante? my game crashed before that cutscene with them could finish
Do you need to do well in the credits to get that? Cause i really messed up the credits fights
you're gonna post this in ever thread with the same .gif aren't you?
DT gives him a puffy vag
oh fuck off you bitter faggots
Remakes are for sure going to happen. Itsuno isn't ready to make DMC6 for who knows how long, and Capcom probably wants to cash in on the DMC hype. I can definitely see a DMC3 remake if anything.
The only thing wrong about it was Vergil's sins didn't get acknowledged everything else is superflous to the tone.
You're retarded. DMC3 had the best story and handled Vergil losing at the end pretty well. Dante doesn't even say anything when he lost him.
What more comes with the deluxe edition?
I feel like I fucked up and should have gotten that version
So are we just gonna ignore DMC5 lets you hold to win?
I read that you have to kill more demons than vergil to trigger the scene but I don't know if it's true, it just happened naturally to me and I obliterated half the room with cerberus
I did that and I didn't get V's costume
I like your reasoning, mate. I'll try that mindset.
V's sections are novel. I'll give them points for trying but it wasnt my chaos legion fix in the end
You probably need to redo Mission 19. First time is purposely easy as fuck, second time is a bit harder.
Nvm I see it on psn for 15 bucks imma go ahead and just get it
to me it looked like his human body literally couldn't carry the remnants of his demon energy and it was breaking him apart from the inside, by the end his skin was a fucking mosaic
>is there a segment as dante? my game crashed before that cutscene with them could finish
yea after the nero credit fight scene, you get a dante and vergil credit fight scene
>psuedo-horror roots
so you mean resident evil
I didnt use a continue, even when the boss is a sliver away. Im trying to learn the game, so if i use continues, im not really learning the boss patterns well enough is my mentality.
>DLC1: Lady hunts devils
>DLC2: Trish hunts devils
>DLC3: Lucia hunts devils in hell with Dante and Vergil
Yes or no
5 is pretty tame compared to 3, you don't see dante riding the tree in a vertical line with cavaliere
>im not really learning the boss patterns well enough is my mentality.
good, that is the mentality more players should take, your a good lad, i hope your enjoying DMC 5
>playing on keyboard
Impossibru
Might be late but I just realized while replaying that in the prologue we see Urizen's reflection in Dante's right eye, and then in the end of chapter 9 we see V's on Dante's left.
Yes to 1 and 2. They almost straight up tease it at the end there. Would be cool if Lady's gameplay had actual shooting mechanics in it.
>new players don't even know who the fuck is Credo, why mention him at all?
HMMMMMM
MAYBE BECAUSE THE GAME IS A SEQUEL TO 4. MAYNE THE GAME HAPPENS TO BE THE 5TH GAME IN A SERIES.
HMMMM
MAYBE
WAIT WAIT
JUST MAYBE
THE 5TH GAME IN THE SERIES
WAIT FOR IT
HAS STORY CONTINUATION
FROM THE PREVIOUS GAME?
HOLY FUCK, CRAZY, RIGHT?
its more like
>DLC 1: Vergil playable, different intro and end cutscene
>DLC 2: Playable Lady and Trish, Differentt intro and ending cutscene
>DLC 3: Old costumes for all characters.
I dont feel like given you guys your (You)s but you faggots need to get off these kino dmc threads and talk about your KH trash somewhere else
Vergil and Dante had just spent half an hour trying to murder each other, of course nero was able to match them weakened.
he'll be about as strong as DT dante or vergil probably.
>old man's diary
Is it Vergil's?
The sheer scale of the Red Grave incident was a missed opportunity to introduce a new civilian or rookie devil hunter trying their best to deal with the (in comic book terms) "street-level" demons while everything else was going on. I guess that could stll be Crew Cut's origin. That's mostly what they did with Resident Evil 7, the Flanderized heroes had long since run their course and they introduced a new Joe Schmoe in a backwater incident as an opportunity to dial things back.
when a PC version doesn't suck dick and lets me use the mouse to control the camera with perfect accuracy you can bet your ass I'll use that
I just need a new mouse with a third button for quicker guns
I developed that mentality by the time I reached the endgame bosses. I'll probably never use continues again because it cheapens the feeling of victory.
No
DLC 1 Lady and Trish COOP Campaign with Dante & Vergil Teasing in the end
DLC 2 Dante & Vergil getting out of hell COOP Campaign
DLC 3 Crewcut Campaign, plays like Re2 Remake, since it's the same engine
>Nero is fun
I haven’t gotten to Dante yet but if they made Nero fun I can only imagine Dante
It's not that it was tame, it's just that the game kind of sucked. I don't even know why it took them so long to make this game.
It wasn't like DMC1/2 nor was it like 3. It was -almost- like 4 but still not even as good as that game when it came to story/cuhrazy.
The devil breakers are just a dopamine rush. And Red Queen has a couple new moves
No, it's just a old man who worked on a library and Vergil got some William Blake books there when he was a kid
less fun
why would he be talking about himself if it was?
You what mate? They literally just battled it out and were tired as fuck before Nero showed up.
>nero matched them
>match
Nero blew them out of the fucken water
Post YFW
>I'M NOT LETTING YOU DIE
>This is... YOUR LEGACYYYYYYYYYY
to me it feels like they had a small budget, you can see it in the way the level assets are constantly reused
80% of the game takes places in the faggot demon tree, the rest are bland grey streets, a single home interior and some dimension shit and lady&trish either fight off-screen or do absolutely nothing for the entire game, they couldn't even finish the bloody palace in time for the release of the game so the rush is palpable
>Itsuno actually turned F U C K Y O U into a hype moment
absolute madlad
>yea baby make love to the camera
STOP IT CAPCOM
I HATE NERO STOP MAkING ME LIKE HIM
FUCK
why is dante such a fucking dick to patty
Why was Nero so strong anyways? He's a quarter demon, right? Was it MOTIVATION?
The credits imply the budget was massive.
>the game kind of sucked
incorrect
I keep getting this taunt on multiple ranks. Also, how do you do a non-rose taunt on Dante?
>Dude, Where's My Yamato?
No he didn't, you're just a faggot apologist.
Post yfw
FUCK YOU
>This is... YOUR LEGACYYYYYYYYYY
Not until there's more Sparda bloodline in the world. Son, you know what to do.
human blood makes demons stronger. Nero has the most human blood. Therefore he is the strongest.
they're just tired bro
>Mine was funny, he said it twice
Dante knows that if he shows up to her birthday party, hes getting raped
why? because there's a lot of them?
FF14 has the longest credits in video game history and the game had negative budget since it literally failed when launched the first time
>Artemis was a joke
>But Goliath gave me trouble
wtf is this world
yes he did, you're just a faggot shitposter
Nero is such a likeable character, i love how the voice actor went full anime on misson 20
>vergil is such a beta he doesnt even remember fucking a girl like 25 years ago
ff14 has a large credit because they included all the 1.0 players you absolute fucking retard
DMC 6 thats literally just a humourous retelling of dantes inferno in DMC, telling the story of how Vergil and Dante escaped the underworld
How were they able to make Nero's FUCK YOU so kino?
How much costume does each character have and can anyone link me to a pic of all of them?
the credits are massive even before the list of 1.0 players you mongoloid
>mfw Vergil immediately fucks off to the top of the tree and proceeds to monologue to himself while he waits for Dante to come fight him again
DMC3 parallels yes but out of everything else for some reason that was the most hilarious shit in the game to me
You might get Vergil and Lady/Trish in the SE but I severely doubt the costumes, this is like the one game in the series that didn't come with a unlockable Sparda outfit and that says Alot about their dedication to giving the players fucking nothing on that front.
I love the idea that you would think Nero was some failsafe for the sparda bloodline in case vergil died, but was literally just a random fuck vergil FORGOT about
>watched the first three seasons of Bleach
>can't unhear Ichigo
anime was a fucking mistake
by giving it serious emotional weight instead of just having it be a weirdly out of place "joke"
He remembers he just didn't think anything would come from it.
The series has always stated that wanting to protect others and emotions gives you immense strength
>Sparda wanted to protect the human realm and become the strongest demon
>Dante started to catch up to Vergil when he realized his failure to protect his mother
>Dante went sparda mode to protect trish who looked like his mother
>Nero got his powerup out of love for Kyrie
>Nero wanted to stop his dad and uncle from killing each other
Yes? Every person was involved in the game and development was going on for a long time. It costs money to make games.
Does V's name actually change to Vergil after finishing the game?
That's a bug that happened to me, you need to go back to the jukebox and set the song again.
Is this game already in a version of turbo?
It isn’t sluggish and a bore as the original dmc4
With that being said I’m about 3hrs into this and if anyone tries to say dmc4 is in anyway as good as this they are legitimately a faggot and might be legally retarded
>he actually wants trash from DMC2 to make an appearance
Take your stupid ass novel cameo and fuck off
they didnt give it so they could sell it, trust me when capcom wants money for their dlcs, little effort is put in, and costumes are the perfect things to sell
>fucking so many bitches you forget them almost immediately, just as God intended
>beta
is this opposite day? betas, AKA beta orbiters, are the ones who get obsessive about one woman and define their lives by one night stands, or even less.
cope
The
>Son of Sparda begins spazzing out hitting you with like four different weapons at once somehow while shouting "SWORDTRICKSWPRDTRICKGUNTRICKSWO
always makes laugh
They're exactly the same speed and the only difference are the new skills like Nero's rocket attack that might make getting around seem faster. You're retarded.
>dmc6 is going to have dantes son in it who is the same age as nero
>nero and cousin become the new dante and vergil
>dantes child takes vergils mindset of power
so they're supposed to override regardless of whether or not devil trigger/subhuman/the other one played during that mission?
Even in 4 they didn't make Sparda's outfit a DLC.
>all the banter that happens in mission 19 and 20 between those 3
Jesus fuck those last missions were pure gold.
I just beat the game, where do you get the scene where Vergil is in the van?
MACHINEHEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAD
Mission 8 implies pretty heavily her and Lady banged which is why she was late, out of breath, and sweating when you try to call her to purchase upgrades.
Thought you'd like to know that.
the finger was a literal pillar of light. The thing is that saying it was a reference to donte is a half truth, since donte was pretty much of rip of nero's initial design as 'younger punk dante.' This is nero being nero, but the added connection to donte only made it better
>Love the shit out of DMC1
>Skip DMC2
>Like DMC3, but feel its long as fuck.
>Fall asleep playing DMC4 and quit.
>Played DMC V fucking all the way to the end and enjoy the shit out of it.
Bruh I dont even know why I think 3 is long and 4 is boring, maybe it was just how they felt at the time in my life when played but V feels splendid.
this is what happens when you don't write clearly the past of a character and need to give him a backstory, vergil was fucking dead, didn't fuck anything and nero was simply a newfag enabler for people who picked dmc4 as their first
now we have this clusterfuck because they needed to retcon vergil into being alive and having a reason for nero to barge in, it's almost as bad as the retcon of venom snake being the big boss of mg1 but is less retarded considering dmc has way more stupid stories
Vergil fucked one single bitch once
meanwhile Nero is planting it in Kyrie's fat ass every single night and Nico is there sometimes too
>Slutty guitar.
You leave best boss and weapon out of this.
Main menu. Reroll it until your get the one
>Implying an alpha like Vergil will remember all of his hookups unlike Dante who could probably count the times he scored on one hand if at all
How do the secret missions work again?
I skip through them tutorials so fast. I gotta stand on the wall I’m on the mission 2 one
user, please. They're both awful with women.
>pop dt in fight
>dante has lines for it
>vergil taunts back
>dantes son who is the same age as nero
What? That would imply that Dante had a child right before the events of DMC3 which is when Vergil had Nero.
are all the people mad about nero breaking up dante and vergil forgetting that a fucking regular ass human with some magic could do the exact same shit back in dmc3?
Wait, why are there 2 locked videos in the cutscene gallery for the finale
What did I miss?
a lot of them are ridiculously hard to find, but you just need to stand on the red light and line up the sigil
How jealous is Kyrie that Nero is with Nico 24/7
is this the sequel to Chrisposting?
>Nico just sitting on the floor watching TV while the bone
>occasionally bitches about Nero not using Sweet Surrender properly on her and giving tips
>Gets Kyrie water and snacks in downtime
As much as I loved the cheesiness of the entire ending of the game. I can't help but feel like it came across as incredibly impersonnel when Dante and Vergil effectively lept off the stage of the franchise with little to no fanfare or ceremony.
Even Dante's old friends seem to not give a shit about him and I felt geniune pain when watching the second to the last cutscene. I really hope Itsuno doesn't geniunely plan on ever having Dante come up again. The way how he left the series this game was just...cruel.
do better in the credits
I really, really, really like how Dante is in this game, personality wise. Like you can tell he is still ''Dante'' but he has clearly matured a lot. And he shows that he loves Nero a lot, as in a family type of love. Also when you fight with Vergil you can hear something in his voice that tells you that he seems to have some sort of respect or maybe even some love for Nero too. I love it.
Vergil still has Yamato, they can leave whenever they want
Thanks user
I don't feel any murderous intent from either Dante nor Vergil, they seem like they just want to beat each other for fun. It feels like Nero got pranked into getting DT.
dante is with his brother killing demons in hell and striking bants instead of dealing with paying his bills and thotts stealing his money all the time, its a pretty fantastic ending for him
Pretty much. The reason why Vergil managed to get with that one chick is because she was in a cult that worshiped his father.
they played up the family aspect of it.
I love that Nero's DT is the perfect version of Angelo Credo, merely because Nero was thinking of Credo when he pulled his DT.
Should've called it Kino Trigger at that point.
itsuno doesnt care about dante as much as vergil and nero. he didnt make dante
I fucking hope so
>TRANSITIVE PROPERTY MEANS THAT IF I BEAT MY SON TO DEATH, WHO HAS BITCH SLAPPED YOU, I BEAT YOU DANTE!
Vergil is such an autist it's crazy
I was about to go to bed but I turned my PS4 back on and redid the last chapter just for the credits fights.
Fucking did both right this time. Jackpot
>get S ranks for every mission for most of the game
>get my ass absolutely wrecked by Vergil vs Dante
Jesus, that was a huge jump in difficulty.
just set the next game in hell with dante and vergil as the playable characters.
problem solved.
>only have to mandatorily play as V 3 times
>"hold button to win the entire game"
lol
itsuno the cuck is so devoid of inspiration that he used DmC
you fags will defend this
Don't worry, they finally share the fucking fruit which is close enough for Disney shit.
Are they going to add more to photo mode?
Keep in mind that being trapped in Hell isn't really a big deal. In the prequel novel Dante says that it's just annoying finding a way out of the damn place, which he had to do after DMC2.
Lady figured it out in the opening narration of 3.
>Nero got pranked into getting DT
God willing
This, a million times this.
>Don't have to deal with his boss Morrison.
>Left his business to Morrison.
>No more Trish bullshit.
>No more Lady bullshit.
>No more Nero bullshit.
I think the only thing Dante will miss honestly is the pizza, thats about it.
Yeah banging, not digging. I'm sure nico gave her that shovel to stick it in her ass or somethin
Smh desu senpai
I love how Dante and Virgil's entire characters just boil down to wanting to win essentially a children's game
ninja theory pls stop posting
>didn't die to anything
>except Vergil
>twice
Well goddamn, it's tradition I guess.
Did the whole "Give that to me" exchange not clue you in on that?
post yfw vergil does the jet plane attack
>Nero
>I spoke to Kyrie
>I challenged her to a fight and she said she doesn't do that
>I thought I raised you better than that
Seriously, it’s a missed opportunity. Kyrie's kindness would make Vergil smile for once, while he also spills his entire spaghetti to her due to his autism, yet Kyrie wouldn’t judge. He did probably cry from how kind she is. Sparda would legit be proud of Nero before his sons if he saw them.
Hot.
They're not gone. Just in hell and Itsuno is never making another DMC game. They should've talked about Vergil's punishment for killing people in 3 and 5. His friends said that because they know Dante would be back. It's just that it's taking awhile.
he didn't make Vergil either
Yeah, but character consistency
It was but it felt so fucking right to be that much harder/intense compared to everything in the game. I honestly coasted through most of the other missions but Vergil was like hitting a 9 foot thick steel wall that I wanted to thank for breaking my face.
>yfw royal guarding that nosedive and releasing on him to knock him out of DT
So is Nero Half demon now? Do you get Dante/Virgil tier power no matter how little sparda blood you have if you just try hard enough?
holy shit, i know what im gonna master now
He expanded Vergil's personality. That's like making Vergil. Didn't really care about Nelo Angelo.
Can you only change arms by breaking them with Nero?
Vergil would call her weak. Also, he smiled twice. Once as V when Dante was alive after all, and again when Dante smiled at him over the fact they always fight.
Just got to this part in the story and made this
Ok so hold to win 1/3rd of the game
SUPLEX YOUR DAD
Yep or picking an arm up. The arm you picked up replaces your current arm.
I don't even know why devs bother making photomodes when they're this shitty. Modders do better jobs.
If we go by Dante's statement that the more human you are, the stronger you are, since Nero is 1/4 Demon thanks to Vergil being his father, he's already the strongest unless he has a kid.
I'm surprised more people haven't tried considering all the shit you can challenge with buster in DMC4.
>3 missions out of 20
>1/3rd
I love how vergil just cant handle nero's brand of 'brute force it until it dies' combat
I used it alot because I played on a burst and forgot checkpoints were a thing, my first death on dante's first mission I relalized they did and only used it afterwards for V's boss fight because I picked the Gollem first and that fucked my combos up hard
>nero is 1/2 demon
>nvm nero is 1/4 demon
that's not how genetic works, user
>all these japanese memes demanding more kids
who could be behind this?
>I love how Vergil is a shitty boss
nu-DMC "fans" everyone
>3/20 is a third.
user are you a pajeet or did you fail math?
does Release have iframes on it?
I know there's the alternate ending for beating Urizen during the prologue, but what about beating him during Nero's second encounter, where he stands up for the first time?
is this the closest eqivelent to credo's spear? i cant think of anything else in this game like that
Yes but they're very strict, you can still take damage while dishing out the pain.
you get it for either, you just need to beat him before fighting him as Dante
Play DMD then.
I'm just saying cause he's been consistently less OP than D/V but then suddenly gets his own DT and can fight them instead of getting shitmixed like in DMC4. So does the percentage of demon blood just not count?
>people thought V was Lady and Dante's son
>people thought V was a girl
>people thought V was Mundus reincarnated
>people thought V was Vergil and the black hair was weird lighting
>people thought V was related to Vergil in some way, basically right
It's funny going back and thinking about all the crazy theories people came up with.
>"What's unworthy of a true warrior, Son"
I feel like he'd just be very uncomfortable around her but find it hard to be a bantering dick to her like he is with others, and even if he thought lowly he wouldn't really say it in front of her. I've always had a feeling Kyrie may be somewhat similar in temperament to how Eva was (caring, kind, sympathetic and love for her demon) and Vergil would not really know how to respond properly to that.
more likely DD2 or DMC 6 before a remake ever gets made
xboxachievements.com
It's scripted Nero gets thrown into the wall when you deplete Urizen's HP in the rematch. Same for Dante's first fight too.
the main one i remember was one user literally saying, oh i bet vergil split himself into two V is his human side and Urizen is his demon side. How the fuck did they guess that
the nero vs vergil fight was a victory lap. They give you so much dt that its near impossible to lose the first time.
I'm still mad he isn't Dante's goth daughteru
Man, just look at them flaunting their love in front of everybody, that's why Kyrie was kept out of this game imagine her and Nero being so sickeningly sweet to each other as Trish and Lady shoot Dante looks like "See? That's how a man is suppose to act with a girl" The way Nero's tone of voice changes when he talks to Kyrie is funny, too.
V gave me arkharm vibes more than anything and the way he spoke to lady and said he's glad she's safe and some of the other stuff he says about his backstory made me think he was actually going to be her lost brother or something
the entire game is about how human blood makes demons stronger. Nero has the most human blood out of the three.
So how exactly do you rev Cavaliere? I can't figure it out
"Split myself in two!" in Crimson Cloud
>"you can call me V."
>has DMC1 summons
user it was more obvious than Venom being the Medic in GZ
to be far, what we actually got was fucking stupid too. All the mundus references were there, but it a bait and switch for Vergil's reveal
nero inherited sparda's genes or some shit like that, let's just say he won the gene's lottery, and that doesnt mean he's "less demon" than dante or vergil. Also, he was able to stop them and fight his dad because the brothers were already tired of fighting, just like the ending of vergil 2 in dmc3
I thought V was a faggot and I was right.
What does V on the book stands for anyway
Nero was always 1/4th demonic, why did his DT only manifest at the end, and whyd his arm even grow back
it's still hold to win with V
>people thought V was a girl
how could anyone mistake Adam Driver for a girl
Put down that sword or I'm finna slap the demon out your ass.
William Vlake
kek
I remember the main theory being that he was a part of Vergil. Who knows. I forgot to mention
>people thought V was Vergil's other child and Nero's long lost bro/sis to continue the twins theme
Yea I started buying that theory after his theme came out and it was called Crimson Cloud.
This was from before we saw his face
Let's not forget that even though he fucking owned both Dante and Vergil, as they agree to go seal the portal to the underworld or whatever, nero tries to stop them and he gets immediately pushed and owned back, making me think the power levels just reverted out of nowhere again
Another I forgot
>people thought V's name was Vitale from the Divine Comedy story where Vitale gets stuck in a tree and is released by Dante and Vergil
Oh no, 3 missions! Come Bloody Palace release, everyone will main Dante or post-game kit Nero anyway.
post more sick webm combos
where there any DMC2 references? ive never played it so i wouldnt have noticed
Because Vergil didn't have much heart in the fight, honestly the fact that Nero could stop Vergil and Dante at all is a testament to his strength.Still I love his face when Urizen stands up, he knew he was gonna get his ass kicked
Now imagine how much stronger Nero is gonna get down the line once he and Kyrie actually start a family and he gets over Credo's death, that was not his fault at all it was that shitty old man.
>people say Vergil looks bad in 5
>this entire cutscene
god you faggots are wrong about everything at this point
Dante shittalks the setting of DMC2 (Dumary Island) when he's annoyed that Griffon keeps running.
Because Kyrie told him (nicely) to nut up and get his shit together.
Fuck off back to DMC1 if you're so furious about it.
Literally nothing v talks about makes sense to me
Nigga talking about trees with weird names
I thought it was established that the more human blood a demon feeds off, the stronger they are. Nero is mostly human, so I'd imagine he has smaller states of power, but packs a stronger punch.
This is a good wife you have there, Son. What form of power does she have?
Loyalty
strong heart
And child bearing hips
the power of her husband's balls in her purse
>Nero: So Nico keeps telling me "these arms are a work of art, ya gotta keep using them" I swear sometimes it feels like she's coming onto me, ya know?
>Vergil: No, I wouldn't.
>Nero: I'd hate to ask, but mom. How did you two meet?
>Vergil: She was some random women that I met in the streets. I was lonely and she promised comfort. A night of drinking and I awoke in her bed. I left without even knowing her name. From that day forward I swore to never drink again.
child bearing hips and a gigantic ass
