Lots of streamers will switch to Just chatting between games for half and hour while they're taking a break just to talk to chat about plans for the coming week's streams. Fun to watch, pro leage esport, metagame discussions and fanservice should all have less priority over fun to play in an ideal world. Of course, streaming ads and fanservice DLC makes more money, so the world isn't ideal, but apex is the apex of fun gaming currently.

When I watch high level play of a game I like (melee) it is like an art.

I watch players effortlessly pull if combos and moves I have practiced hundreds of times (with a low success rate) one right after the other. It's fucking inhuman some of the shit that melee players can pull off and when they do everybody in the crowd goes nuts and it is a shared excitement.

I think the problem is people being too social. They just can't enjoy anything alone anymore, everything has the be shared or be done in a group. It's why I suspected my autism behind my inability to relate to that. I just don't care what my friends do and don't really see social interaction as something better than playing a good game for myself while eating wurst and enjoying life.
I do chat with two close friends though, but the nice thing about chatting is that you can answer when you want and aren't as restricted by it as with live talking.
