The creative team behind Bayonetta could NEVER make anything as deep or complicated as the original Devil May Cry.

>overtime boss fight like in bayonetta 1
>a second playable character that isn't jeanne and the ability to play all missions as that character including secondary dialogue that references the paradox of having that character play through another characters level
>a noticeable increase in visual quality
>moving away from quick time events and giving the player the ability to do these actions naturally instead of pressing a combination of buttons that flash on screen
>a bunch of other things i can't think of right now

Bayonetta sucks, the gameplay pales to dmc and ninja gaiden, and the characters suck ass too, why would I want to play as some stank whore that fights by getting naked and sucking off the enemies?

So, DMC5 was underwhelming. Good thing I have a Switch so I can play games Kamiya was actually involved in like Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3 and not cheap knockoffs.

Because you can just mash buttons and lay out an easy combo that ruins enemies, and because you can just witch time the whole game with no penalty. Face it Bayonetta is just not as good was Devil May Cry, it's just easier for normies to latch onto, it's so bad that even God of War has more depth.
