What do you think after the previews?
The previews were what sold me. I was apprehensive before and was annoyed at From's unwillingness to show the game off, I needed to see more and what I saw was enough to get me on board.

Tenchu for babies

prett hyped, can't wait to play a fromsoft game without too much rpg elements

Is there any multiplayer in this one?

I'm optimistic for it. Even a mediocre FROM game is good enough to play. I'm just hoping iit changes enough to feel new

What do you think the DLC will be like?

Fucking hype. So fucking hype I can't even bring myself to play other games

I'm guessing they'll do 2-3, each with a new area with 1-2 main bosses, 3-4 minibosses, and then new tiers on each skill tree.

>The previews were what sold me.
Likewise.
Went from a meh to super pumped, can't wait. Most likely taking Friday off if the game unlocks Thursday on PC with VPN

the preview material looks phenomenal, really love the faster pace and the parry/dodge/jump implementation. first singleplayer game since botw that I am looking forward to and unlike that its locked 60fps at 1440p or more from the get go. god bless nips for being back on pc.

does this have more of a story focus than DaS? I haven't paid much attention to the previews or anything.

DaS didn't have a story focus so yes.

>no armor
>no fashion

Dropped.

No loss.

you have a set protagonist that is voiced but the overall aproach to telling the story via environmental clues, npc dialogue and item descriptions is still very souls like.

No incentives.

>I'm a fag who likes to play dress up

It's From, better yet a new IP by From. I was sold since the teaser was shown. Everything else just further assured me this will be GOTY.
Haters and doubters will be BTFO come the 22nd.

i wasnt sure about it but the previews changed my mind
more souls wouldve been boring
Yea Forums will hate it cause they cant summon friendos and cheese bosses

Yea armor variety would've been cool

it's gonna be good game but not as good as bloodborne or dark souls

Already looks better and more interesting than Bloodborne.

I believe it will be a more fine-tuned single player experience than souls or bloodborne

I don't expect it to suprass Bloodborne, but here0s hoping it comes close

It’s my most anticipated game of the year after those previews. It’s hilarious how people are upset for it not being exactly like souls when souls got popular in the first place for not being like everything else. I’m had they’re stripping out the numbers and other trivial elements of their contemporaries and focusing on what actually makes the game good

Pretty fucking hyped,I'm getting on ps4 and pc for that sweet 60 fps. I just sincerely hopes that the game is correctly optimized

From always likes to tease their next games with characters representing it somewhere in the game? Thoughts on what we'll see that hint towards it?

>PC and console

Based and redpilled

I like the direction they took with serkiro's combat.
>posture in place of stamina that depletes over time (so hit and run tatics are less incentivised)
>combat arts
>timed deflects and mikiri
And along useful, and I hope essential, prosthetic utilities.
It also seems that enemy attacks do massive amounts of damage to hp. Only way to avoid is deflects, while juggling different oncoming attacks and unparriables. True death is also made to serve punishment, with the Dragonrot system in place and permenantly losing a chunk of your xp and gold. There's a nice incentive to git gud. Souls has gotten really easy after each release, and I hope Sekiro serves a nice challenge.

Why buy on both systems? If your PC is any better, get it there.

I am excited for the game, but I’m nervous about the combat. It looks like you’re supposed to just stand still and do perfect parrys over and over until the enemies poise gauge is filled up and then you just do a critical attack.

Anyone else pirating this shit ?

No. Not shitposting though, are you poor?

Been looking forward to it since its announcement but now it's at the point where the wait is painful and I just want the game to be in my hands.

Nope I have a job, I just don't feel like paying 55 for this one.

Yep

cool story bro

Fair enough, I'm a console nigger so I can't pirate anything.

Attached: gaijins.jpg (1750x1750, 224K)

I like some abilities and the combat looks fun.
I don't feel an atmosphere though. But to be fair, i only saw outdoor areas that were during the day.

>Why buy on both systems?
because i want to have the physical object

Definitely pirating it since it's worth that.
I doubt I'll buy it since I'm not paying 60 euro for what's going to be a buggy piece of shit on PC as per the rest of their games.

I might get it if community fan patches fix the bugs/optimization though for 4.99 on a grey market site

Gameplay showing Headless warrior mini boss. Pretty spoopy.

>Even a mediocre FROM game is good enough to play
I feel the same way. I'd rather play DaS2 over tons of games in the same time period.

holy fuck kek'd when it shoved its fist down sekiro's anus
>the brown spray after the visceral
I hope that's what I think it is

Have there been any reports about the optimization from the people who've played it so far?

Lack of weapon variety sucks.

this game seems terrible

I am just afraid of no replayability honestly, you have 4 endings and ng+ probably, and i assume, you need multiple runs to upgrade everything.

And these 2 people are relevant why?

maybe he needs the second katana with the red sheath or maybe something like a transient curse?

>Seething Darksoulfags in the comments
Lmaoooo

there is no doubt that sekiro will be the best from software game yet

Wonder what that "Terror" status bar means. Could it be something similar to getting cursed like in DaS?

The new preview footage looks great, but most people playing the game suck. So many players are either just bad or trying to play it like Souls and not really making proper use of the deflect mechanic.

Faggot didn't use Divine Confetti before fighting it so of course he did no damage. This video shows it.
>youtu.be/snHcZH9uv_A?t=301
>starts fighting it at around 5:00
>seems like every time you use divine confetti his health fills back up
>Gamescores guy came very close to beating him

Also the enemy's apparently based on some Japanese demons that pull people's "anus soul" out of them when they catch them in rivers and then either keep it or offer it up to their Dragon River God.

I hope it has some twist in the middle of the game like Bloodborne did. That one boss in the trailer with the centipedes hopefully suggests one.

It's most likely the reason they're not sending out early copies. They want everyone to work together to figure shit out, kinda like the early days of Dark Souls 1 before all the normies caught on.
PC data miners are gonna ruin everything anyways.

That's not a boss. It's a regular enemy in the building where you fight the wolverine centipede guy. There are several of them and they look looked regular statues until you get close to them, at which point they sprout giant centipedes seemingly from their cunts.

Sad to see the ps4 pro version has the FPS fluctuating between 30-60 fps, hopefully it has an option to lock it at 30 when it releases. Otherwise I'm hyped for it.

I need money for a new graphics card so bad bros

>played Demons, killed Phalanx but thats it
>played Souls1, beat the gargoyles but got bored/moved on to something else
>generally ignored rest of the Soulsborne series
>still hyped for this game just because I like the samurai/ninja aesthetic
Anyone else feel this way? I liked DS1 enough but the knights and castles shit didn't really intrigue me as much as other games like The Witcher, I think it was the constant dark clouds and fog, shit was dreary yo.

I hope there's a fair amount of normal-ish sized human bosses

bossfights that are actually more like duels are way better than these oversized monsters you spend half your time running around

I just hope enemies have a way to chase you down, and that the pathfinding isn't super bad. It feels like you could run away and slowly stealth kill people by abusing AI/pathfinding and resetting the AI

>Still no demo
No excuse.

Same, i was burned out by soulsborne at first but the previews reignited my interest. Looks like it might be Bloodborne tier good.

No fashion no buy.

>played DeS up to fighting False King Allang
>played BB up to The One Reborn
>never touched any of the Dark Souls games
Your post actually reminded me and I question if I really want Sekiro or not. I just really liked the Tower of Latria in DeS and Bloodborne’s first half due to the setting of the game being an inspiration from Latria.

Boletaria was pretty dope though.

I'm looking forward to playing it once or twice then dropping it, since they removed all semblance of replayability. It's gonna be a day one pirate for me dog, just like DMC5.

I'm going to platinum it on my regular PS4 then get it on PC once it's in sale and has enough fun mods. I think I'm getting a 2060 or a 2070 soon so it runs at a smooth 1440p 60FPS. Haven't really bought anything in about a year. Literally no purchases other than basic necessities and a few movie tickets. I used to be the biggest spendthrift for all my friends in college. Feels weird.

I want to see more of Lady Butterfly already.

Seeing the combat being played by non-journos is what sold it to me. More dodges than just roll is nice to have, plus grappling into enemies looks fun.

Boletaria and Tower of Latria were top notch. They never seem to recapture the essence of these areas in any of their subsequent souls games, excluding BB. Also, did you at least go to Upper Cathedral Ward? It's pretty cool up there too.

Attached: Upper Cathedral.gif (540x300, 1.41M)

hell yeah sekibros

The music for that area really made me on edge. Despite the bullshit enemies , it was pretty fun exploring it

So, the main character seemingly goes back in time in this game...what if the twist is that the enemies span across time, hunting down the bloodline in the past, present and future?

What if the twist is that towards the middle (i.e., blood moon), you go into a cyberpunk-esque future, where you get a cyber katana, full on Snow Crash style? That way we can finally get into cyber souls.

>Soothing Hymn
>Super unsettling
>Most unsettling area in the game

>30fps

Attached: 1552112657102.png (655x509, 28K)

both UCW and Hypogaean Gaol pre blood moon are pretty much god-tier atmosphere.

soothing to the great ones

>Everyone saying the previews are what sold them.

If this game does massively well it could be a stepping stone to killing game 'journalism'

Attached: Crows are cool.jpg (500x375, 35K)

never listened to gaming """"""journalism"""""" in the past ten years
watching the gameplay and listening to the experiences of people playing the game trumps anything a journo shits out in an article

>All those souls I lost on my way to buying some stuff I desperately wanted
>Suddenly a snatcher appears
>Motherfucker actually kills me
>Wake up in a jail cell in bumfuck nowhere
>Fuck fuck fuck
>Muh souls
>Know I'll lose them if I die again
>Need a bonfire
>Slowest fucking walk ever
>Always looking for traps
>Creep up the stairs eventually
>Spot the bonfire at the top of the stairs
>Freeze in place
>Look around for traps
>Make a beeline for it
>Get back to the dream
>Go to Person oedon chapel
>My souls are in one of the crows
>Get them back
>Run the fuck away from the snatcher

>Also, did you at least go to Upper Cathedral Ward? It's pretty cool up there too.

Unfortunately, no. I know about Ebrietas but never figured out how to get past the locked door. Ended up falling down the dark area with pic below.

I actually caved in and watched some raw gameplay
fuck it looks pretty damn difficult. Better hone your parrying skills boys because r1 spam seem to do jack shit this time around

It's pretty easy to miss, you have to drop off a ledge in Yahar'gul when you enter it after killing Rom. There, you'll find a bell ringing maiden (which is where you also find the Tiny Tonitrus and the two brick trolls in the same room). You can get the key on a Choir member corpse.
