So, for how long are the denuvofags going to deny it?
So, for how long are the denuvofags going to deny it?
Is there ACTUALLY such thing is a Denovofag or has all the trolling just gas-lighted you?
There ARE faggots who support DRM but it's just because they're Valve fanboys who can't let go and don't understand the long term effects.
Nobody ACTUALLY defends Denuvo they're just apathetic.
Based first post best post poster
this
the only people who defend denuvo are Handball 17 shitposters
>Valve fanboys
Since when?
I have been asking for 3 threads. What does Denuvo do that actively makes the CPU or GPU waste cycles? To a profound 20FPS difference average in DMC5, what is it telling the CPU or GPU to do? WTF is it programmed to do beyond a simple keycheck algorithm?
>There ARE faggots who support DRM but it's just because they're Valve fanboys who can't let go and don't understand the long term effects.
Oh yeah? well, I fucked your mother!
I've read it actually degrades SSDs at a very high rate
>J:we need a way people spend more money on PCs
>Denuvo: got it.
You and a lot of other people have read that without any evidence being presented whatsoever
I would believe it if anyone could actually fucking prove it
I know Denuvo affects performance, but I support DRM to stop pirates. Until games are cracked, then they should remove it.
It's funny because the game runs like a dream on my toaster, but I can only run RE2 @ 30FPS.
If you're anti-piracy, you're pro-denuvo
The executable is run inside of an encrypted VM, twice. As in two layers
Yeah, why do they keep denuvo on way after the game gets cracked? I guess they'd have to release a patch to actually remove it, but still. I wonder if denuvo is a one time fee or a monthly payment.
Is anyone else getting massive stuttering in and out of cutscenes? Tried tweaking the settings, but nothing is working.
I've seen users post data that shows Denuvo writing over 2TBs of data in around 48 hrs. I'm not arguing against DRM, companies should use any means necessary to protect their products but at what point are you willing to sacrafice customers?
Need idea to weave Blue Rose charged shot to a normal combos. I read years ago that setting the shot button to shoulder button can help it somewhat, but given I kinda need both middle fingers to hold the controller steady, it's really hard to remember to hold/release the shot button. Sure it means I just have to gitgud, but I wonder if there's certain pattern/mindset when to or not to hold the shot button.
>why do they keep denuvo on way after the game gets cracked?
Because they'd be effectively admitting that DRM is a bad thing. By leaving it on and ignoring it, it's basically saying "Yeah it has DRM, so what?"
Based Sony punishing fat people for playing games on PC.
RE Engine looks fabulous. They did another by-the-book DMC that should make most fans extremely happy.
But for me? The character and enemy designs still suck compared to the first game, the combat still feels pretty slow and juggling-focused, and the overall aesthetic is an even more depressing hell to DMC4's heaven. Perhaps a throwback to DMC3 where the whole game felt like a Bloody Palace. I couldn't bring myself to play past Mission 02.
3/5 stars. DMC, Bayo, and NG are still the peak of 3D bmups. The genre is slowly dying because it can be so easily incorporated into much more substantial genres (open-worlds and the like). DMCV and Bayo 3 will be the swan songs.
i would really like a source on that because i have dmcv on my 950 pro and thats worrying
They do though, they are just retarded and probably americans.
i won't be so as long as piracy continues to not affect sales
I have this game on steam, how do I find this DRM-free EXE?
DMC5 uses like 50% of my CPU and GPU and runs like shit
How do I fix this
I know right I fucking run it in 4k with all settings on max. It actually defaulted to 4k first time I launched it even though I have 1440p monitor and I was like hell nah it's gonna run in 30fps.
gazellegames
Portions of the game run in a VM. Within these portions it does its AP checks. They recommend devs put these checks in non time critical code like during loading screens but not every dev follows that advice.
Adjust the settings directly from the Nvidia control panel
you know i always had this idea that nobody is that stupid right? that all of them are trolls on some level until i met people who call others blind and believe that pro consumer thinking is actually bad and ungrateful, people saying that wanting stuff that was made 20 years ago is entitled etc
okay imagine if you had your pc run something in the background while you're playing, think chrome and its ram impact now imagine being low on ram without chrome running, what happens? everything slows down right?
now imagine running a virtual pc that constantly checks and rechecks the game and runs encrypted shit in the background and now imagine every time you push a key on your keyboard it has to do this twice but one at a time and has to make a number, encrypt it decrypt it and check it again from your disk or ssd so its wasting disk read/write too, no matter what it actually does or how it works it uses some computer power to run and its a waste and its anti consumer
in AC origins every time you push any key it sends a hook for denuvo to check if your game was legit and the more keys you press the more it stuttered
I'm amazed there isn't more shitposting about this, it's pretty significant proof of how fucked denuvo is. I know they're very different games but cracked DMC5 runs much smoother than my legit copy of RE2. Stutters caused by cpu spikes happen fairly often and I have to run it with lower settings for a comparable framerate.
Unrelated to drm but the AA in DMC looks infinitely better than the RE2 implementation of the same FXAA + TAA. I'm glad it does because there's no option to disable AA at all but I don't understand how it can look so much better on the exact same engine
Nobody asked for your opinion, fattie.
That's insane.
This one?
Devil May Cry 5 v02.03.2019 Black Screen Fix
Or do I download the entire game and just copy over the exe?
I can't get 1440/60 on my 1050Ti. How do?
Seconded
oh boy
you know there was one game fuck me cant remember which one but it had denuvo and denuvo used its first core on the cpu to work its crap
the game uses core 1 to do most of the work
denuvo had to take over the entire thing to run its VM shit and the game would stutter so much if you didnt have a multithread machine that was a clocked i7 and you would still get some tiny stutters on it
also fuck TAA and its quality degradation, yes jaggies are annoying but id take those over vaseline and my eyes hurting after 30min anyday
You need the entire game it's on freeleech now so no issue. The fix is just like name suggests the fix for some people with that issue.
>1050ti
lmao
Game runs amazingly without Denuvo, not only does Denuvo increase CPU load but when running the Denuvo version the game is a stuttery fucking mess on my R9 Fury.
Meanwhile, without it, I get a silky smooth 4k60 almost 100% of the time.
The fix has an .exe in it 128mbs, is that one not going to work? How big is the DRM-free .exe suppsoed to be?
It seemingly to working right now... but I don't know if it's running any better the exe I replaced was like 400mb
>They did another by-the-book DMC
I fucking wish, this game sucks for so many reasons.
Find the config ini
Remove dof,ca, taa fuck taa alone eats half of the fps you get
Maybe try that exe without denuvo thats gonna give you another 20fps
The SSD thing is very easy to check because the only way to "degrade" an SSD is to write a lot of shit on it and most if not all SSDs have "total host writes" or something like that as a SMART parameter. Just check it before and after playing any shitnuvo game for a few hours. Or use some hardware monitoring software like HWinfo or something, it can track read speed, write speed, total writes and total reads per session and a whole bunch of other shit and display it all in real time.
I can't vouch for all of them but I have personally played a bunch of cracked Denuvo games and I have NEVER seen any kind of anomalous SSD writing load from any of them (I always keep an eye on my hardware stats). Maybe "Denuvo kills SSDs" is totally made up bullshit, maybe it's only true for some specific old versions or even specific games, I don't know. Maybe it's only present in legit versions and is somehow magically absent from cracked copies but I really don't believe that to be the case.
The game in general really likes AMD GPUs unless you're running HBAO+.
Hey, thank you for mentioning to turn off DoF and TAA in the .ini, man
Nah from what i saw denuvo used to write a lot on the ssd but it was really really small in size but the amount was worrying because too many small writes kill ssd in the long run but now it mostly kills CPUs and in some cases people reported it using the gpu or something? Especially on SLI so there are jokes about denuvo mining
Ace Comcast 7's doesn't have any anomalous disk writing.
Np
It's something i always do because it gives me severe migraines
So once again, it only matters if you have shit CPU that bottlenecks you...or you want to run 180 fps at 420p
And 4 didn't? Like I said, by the book.
WHOA a 5% fps drop on a CPU stress test running at super low resolution and at FPS that most people will never even touch playing normally.
In other words it fucks with people who were running older CPUs and budget GPUs, thereby fucking with the value proposition of PC gaming.
Not to mention it makes games that are ALREADY CPU demanding even MORESO, like Ass Creed Origins/Odyssey.
Thank god almost all the western games using Denuvo are fucking shit, otherwise this would be a problem.
Denuvo is based because anything that makes arrogant, entitled asshole third world trash mad is based.
Brazilian and Russian genocide when?
It doesn't even look like it's the same frame in the scene.
your suicide when? JEJEJEJEJEE
Thats fucking retarded user. I dont support piracy overall especially when devs are not complete fucking cunts and when the game is good for someone since everyone has a different taste and shit but when I buy my games I always use cracks no matter if its garbage Denuvo or any other DRM fuck that shit fuck steam, fuck chink spyware aka epic store and any other launchers. To this day I have problems with my legit PC copies of games that used SecuRom and without cracks I would not even be able to fucking play them nowadays.
The majority of that shit/re-posting site are Turkish cockroaches. You can always spot them out because their keyboards always have " i " as " ı ".
Gonna run a quick test with my own PC that's a bit more powerful than the PC DF used to test.
One sec.
do you know what the options are for AA in the .ini file?
on no no 173 FPS LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE
Fitgirl repack when?
that's just to showcase the difference, dipshit
some people will be playing at 10 fps when they could be playing at 30
name three reasons.
>Try to put the Denuvo .exe back into the game's main folder
>Deletes my save progress
Thank god for cloud saves, christ.
they ruined the characters
shit writing/story
bosses are boring
No idea why it's not possible to disable DoF and TAA from the menu, you can in RE2. TAA's just so fucking blurry and gross
Its kinda weird, the game stutters in some cinematics or when I enter some places but I got a resource monitor and none of my parts are taxed at all. CPU and GPU run at under 50% load, HDD activity doesnt spike, ram is not close to being full.
Dunno whats up.
How do you disable TAA form the ini? Even if I change AntiAliasing= it always defaults to FXAA_TAA when I launch the game.
Try to change files properties to ,,Read Only'' after editing it.
the game will probably look awful without TAA
>I can't vouch for all of them but I have personally played a bunch of cracked Denuvo games and I have NEVER seen any kind of anomalous SSD writing load from any of them
Well, you're full of shit, because cracked denuvo games are still running denuvo, just not performing the online checks.
>I played it on youtube XD
based attention whoring retard
>,,
That user posted a screenshot you autist
I know you don't have any reason to believe me because I'm just an anonymous poster on the internet but you don't have to. Like I said it's very easy to check and either prove or disprove, anyone can do it.
Just wanted to check in and confirm that the .exe you get from downloading the entire game and just the black screen fix are, in fact, exactly the same so if you have the game already you don't need to download the whole thing.
I'm having the same issues. Can get up to 150 FPS at times and then shit like gilgamesh will make the FPS go down to 58ish
>r9 fury
YIKES
Is Denuvo effecting GPU or CPU? Wondering if it will actually do anything since my CPU usage is low anyway. Just wondering if I could bump from 1080p to 1440p without Denuvo.
It did this in one of the earliest versions.
They just made it write data to RAM instead of the C drive.
It's not about belief, friendo, what you're proposing is misconstrued.
CPU exclusively
All things considered it's a great GPU.
At least when it comes to games that aren't optimized like shit.
Ironically I've been having more luck with Jap games in that regard lately.
Alright, Denuvo isn't impacting performance much for me then I guess.
Yes it is.
That's what the fucking article says.
I can't fathom the length of mental gymnastics people go through trying to convince themselves and others that Denuvo doesn't affect performance.
Anyone even slightly versed in the way computers work should understand that additonal background processes running will affect performance.
Even if it doesn't cause a drop in framerate because you're powering through the overhead the DRM will be coming out of your pocket in the way of your power bill.
I'm sure most people defending Denuvo are poor Russian students who need the shill money for krokodil.
How the fuck can it lower my framerate if my CPU usage is only 30% anyway?
Removing it won't give you much of an fps boost if any but you're still going to be spending CPU cycles on something that gives you absolutely zero gain.
Just get rid of it.
Alright, finally got back around to this.
Pic related is without Denuvo.
I would have pirated it anyways, charging for a download is anti consumer. Steam is just as bad as Denuvo
And with Denuvo.
Performance is roughly the same, but CPU usage is doubled even in this relatively light scene.
I just feel like this is going to disappoint a lot of people who are believing it's an automatic 20 FPS gain, in a game that's well optimized and doesn't use much CPU.
Make no mistake though, since Denuvo impacts any kind of performance only for people who actually paid for the game, I think it should go fuck itself.
I don't fucking know but it does.
It's only going to fuel the fire when retards think their i9 2080 setup will magically conjure up another free 40fps by removing denuvo.
It's a huge boost if you're CPU bound but that just means you're poor and aren't supposed to be playing modern games, right?
I'm starting to think there's other shit going on in the earlier build besides Denuvo.
I don't think that setup needs to worry about 40FPS with this game.
Denuvo also adds a lot more stutter in-game as well, and I say that as someone who has the game installed on an SSD.
Clearly, but idiots are still going to go on the Steam forums to complain about the
>whiners
that want Denuvo gone because it didn't improve their framerates and that means that everyone who claims it did for them is a lying pirate.
>imagine Trish getting pinned against a gray wall, that's the same color of her fucking boring bitch-ass character who imperonates moms becuase she's literally an unholy wretch with no dignity whatsoever, while at the same time the demon-whore who suckled Mundus' big red tri-balls and had so much piss-stained demon cum splurged all over her hair, it got dyed blond, is being fisted with pizza up her matrix-2000 black fetish pants ripped apart, so hard the term yeast infection gets a new meaning, and with her last whoreish, skanky, breaths she coughs up the crusty, hell-cum out her ps2-octagon mouth, leaving her dark soul unfilled, yet her ass stuffed to the brim
So you care more about le epic trolling than video games?
For me, there were just some random stutters when using the original exe. It didn't noticeably impact general framerates. That said, I'm with I think there might be more that's different about that exe than just Denuvo.
Also, I had to disable network functionality because I kept crashing whenever the game would try to matchmake with another player. I'm wondering if the different exe's are causing mismatches. I also have the 21:9 mod forced so that might not help either.
I'm actually one of those retards with an i9 and 2080. I don't have any stutter with Denuvo but it did cause a noticeable increase in CPU usage and a massive increase in losing times. Running at 200fps with Gsync probably filters out any noticeable stutter.
Random stuttering is even worse than a 10-15% lower framerate m8.
>shitnuvo runs on a obfuscated virtual machine
>expecting the extra calculations to not impact performance
niggers should be paying me for using my hardware for their bullshit and limiting my FPS.
>We deployed our mainstream PC gaming test system for this one, which pairs a Core i5 8400 with 16GB of 2667MHz DDR4, along with an AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB. Devil May Cry 5 itself was installed onto an SSD, and to begin with, it's fair to say that we noted no difference in performance whatsoever.
Well, that debunks it. Denuvo wins again.
Loading times*
That's what I get for phoneposting in bed.
Not just anti-piracy but pro-punishing legitimate consumers.considering that that is what it does. I am too poor to pay for games I just can't do it and I love video games but I understand the need for people to buy games in our current economy and don't mind having to wait a few weeks if I have to to keep the games being ported to PC.
Oh I don't disagree.
Where is the youtube video?
This has to be spread around all the gaming communities on the internetz.
It's not a video, it's an article.
Holy shit it all makes sense now. Before I disabled Denuvo, every post-level result screen was slow as shit, I was literally sitting there for 10-20 seconds waiting for the thing to load. When I removed Denuvo, those same result screens became smooth as fucking butter.
FUCK DENUVO AND FUCK ANYONE WHO USES IT
VM and on the fly decryption
if someone tells you this doesn't have significant overhead, they're lying
Just upgrade your PC bro, or are you a poor pirate?
That's why you pirate Denuvo bullshit, and only buy denuvo-less vidya.
ironic, isn't it.
And now you know why people hate Denuvo.
denuvo cracks don't remove denuvo.
Is this the first time we're actually able to see how much Denuvo impacts performance?
Reminder that it affects weaker rigs even more
What do you mean you just removed it? Stop fucking lying holy shit.
You need to go to the steam forums the same people show up again and again to make chains of comments defending it. which makes me think they're shills being paid.
No, there have been tests for games that removed Denuvo before. But they weren't focusing on CPU performance as the usual bottleneck in vidya is GPU.
do you not know what happened with DMC5 retard?
You can download the Denuvo-free version of the .exe via the Steam console m8.
Anyone who bought the game can compare the difference for themself.
DMC5 devs leaked the exe file without Denuvo on Steam. You can download it and swap the original, the performance impact is so fucking obvious it's not even funny.
When I pirated Doom there was an extremely noticeable difference between the pirated version and my Steam copy.
With Denuvo it was practically unplayable.
When they removed it in a patch the Steam version ran exactly the same as pirated.
Denuvo shills are very real
Check out the Steam forums if you want to see prime degeneracy. There are multiple 20+ page topics of people shitflinging and begging SEGA to add Denuvo back into Sonic Mania
Ok sorry lads, just thought it was an odd comment. I will check it out, easy to find? Will I lose my saves?
Ok but that's not how cracks work. Denuvo is built into the game, you can't just remove it with a crack.
I can guarantee you even in cracked games Denuvo is still running and taking up resources.
It MAY run better cracked because it doesn't have to wait for online checks, but the process is still happening offline
Pirated Doom had denuvo.
I'm sure the checks are asynchronous, just about everything in vidya is.
Look for the guide in the Steam community. You won't lose anything and it'll take up 30 seconds.
>asynchronous
>means no impact on performance
Based retard
it still does the thing in a pirated version. simply "waiting" asynchronously costs nothing.
The torrents are all taking forever to download it my 500mb internet with a VPN.
Check this out, Injustice 2 does an online check every time Gorilla does certain attacks
youtube.com
steamcommunity.com
That's what you just fucking said, but it's completely irrelevant because I did have a performance increase with the crack.
I haven't been able to test other games in this fashion and I've since upgraded my PC but Doom literally went from a stuttering 45 fps mess on minimum settings to running at a solid 60 at medium.
4670k and 2gb 770
yeah that's a retarded implementation
But it still happens in a pirated version (video is using that).
Yes I know, that was my point. Even cracked games still use denuvo and still perform badly because of it
Guess I should try the non-Denuvo exe since I get random stutters from time to time for seemingly no reason even though overall performance/fps is completely fine.
It just kills me that if it does indeed help then after the next content patch I probably can't use the old exe anymore and must go back to stutter.
Will it run decently on integrated Ryzen 3 2200?
>running fine on a gtx970 + i5 6600k
>get maybe a couple miniscule stutters in certain corners when moving around, nothing huge, happens barely ever
>get to mission 15 as nero
>literally stutters every other segment and even in one of the later fights
60fps or variable does nothing, is it just all the clutter shit inside the tree or is it the network shit?
it's the tree, dropped to 50ish for me too. fortunately there isn't much fighting in that place
I've noticed more network shit affecting it, like people dropping in and out has a knockon effect for like 5-10 seconds after
What are the best settings to change if my CPU is the bottleneck?
>only played to mission 2
>bayonetta is good
LMFAO
I didn't really get anything in game, but the cutscenes plunged to abysmal levels.
From 200-240fps to 90fps.
I can't find the Denuvo free .exe
