>Dante's SDT always looks angry
>Vergil's SDT has a shit-eating grin
Tfw, he wanted to say before Dante cut him off was:
>Don't you DARE say it without me!
Remember when everyone thought this shit was fake and poorly shopped?
>bu- but where are the reflections
Good times.
The end is pretty weird with Dante and Vergil being all buddy buddy when you think about all the people Vergil killed while being Urizen.
>Dante and Vergil stay in hell
>Probably fuck eachother because its so boring to fight after a while
Are the yaoi fanfics canon now?
>Vergil STILL clapping
>Dante's annoyed face
fucking hysterical
Vergil isn't Urizen tho.
That was made clear in Mission 17 when we learned that Urizen has no memories of Vergil, besides a big, fat target on Dante.
Urizen is literally Vergil's Legendary POWER fetish given sentience and flesh. V is who's actually Vergil, but bereft of his demonic power and with his Power Autism surgically removed via Yamato, reverting him to the dweeb nerd he was before his mother was killed. They probably aired that closet while in hell.
If there's a DMC6 in the future, don't be surprised if now that Vergil moved on and made up with Dante he'll chill out and start resembling V more in his general disposition.
I smiled so hard my cheeks cramped a little
Vergil isn't evil, he's just unironically autistic, because the only thing he cares about is getting stronger and surpassing Dante
Dante got his brother back so it's ok, now they can be chummy with each other all they want.
>"Where did you learn to count?"
I like Dante and Vergil's interactions with eachother, they feel like real brothers which many games and shows fail to do.
>being educated and committed is autism
How fucked is society now lol? I am assuming you take Dante's lower form of conscious and apathy to be normal? They are both just different personalities.
Vergil = aristocrat
Dante = ruffian
Fighting each other is probably better than sex for them
>Lady confirmed platonic
>even Patty got fucking friendzoned
It's a good day to be a fujo
>post yfw "When this is over, I'll make you submit..... Father"
>post yfw "Not in a million years"
I dont get it, did vergil and dante ended up being bros again?
Not gonna lie, this and Nero's "FUCK YOU!" brought a smile to my face
What do you think?
I must have missed that, where was that said?
>Virgil is responsible for the death of probably thousands
>Lol, welcome to my van, dad
They never hated eachother, matter of fact Dante cried when Vergil was seemingly dead in 3 and Vergil advised Dante to get out of the demon world
I dunno bout you guys, but that bitch slap Nero gave dante was fucking fantastic.
Dante was really happy at the end, you could really tell. I think Vergil was happy too.
I had to pause at the not in a million years reference. I was tearing up as I laughed.
Yeah, makes no sense whatsoever. Dante and Nero just forgot about everything from one moment to the other. It's Orochimaru all over again.
Pettiness that temporarily became hate, then Nero came along and slapped some sense into the both of them.
>Istuno ripped off kingdom hearts for Vergil's story
When you're fighting Vergil as Dante. when Vergil activates doppelganger he just says "You think you can beat me? Not in a million years!"
They're both happy they're finally back together. Look at how Vergil sits down in the final scene after Dante takes a break.
Nero beat sense into daddy for a bit
DMC Divine Comedy WHEN
>HAHA POST YFW WHEN XDD
Fuck off to /vg/ autistic cucks
?post yfw seething faggot
It was the best ending we could ask for.
>dont discuss games that just release on video game board! we need more space for offtopic shit!
And that's a problem because? It was all leading up to that anyways.
What I hate is that they just basically recycled DMC3's plot and added Nero's sudden daddy issues into the mix at the very end. I mean surely there could've been countless other ways to integrate Vergil into the plot without resorting to reusing the same exact motivation.
In fact it feels outright rape of DMC3 since its ending already nicely wrapped up the brotherly rivalry with Vergil taking the other amulet with him and dropping into hell. By the time Nico asked Nero about crying as an obvious callback to DMC3's ending I was genuinely starting to want to claw my eyes out from cringe.
I mean Jesus, the game itself was great but the story was just cheap fanservice diarrhea. It's like the devs rightfully realized what a mistake DmC was but then went way too deep into the exact opposite extreme of creating a "love letter" to fans.
It warms my heart to see them just casually hanging out
>yfw HE'S YOUR FATHER
cringe
They were always bros
But we lost V
>Mfw Mission 12
>"I won't let you kill each other"
>story was just cheap fanservice
they took cues from all DMC media
first boss nero fights for example is lifted straight from DMC2 except made less fucking annoying
there are plenty of connections to all games and even Dante takes a piss out of that in mission where you fight griffon, shadow and nightmare saying that he feels like he is on Mallet island again
fanservice was to be expected, making a sequel after 11 years of there being fuckall sorta requires it
cringy ass post dude, nothing wrong with a fanservice story, its not like shit like this is supposed to have Shakespearan tales of deep intricacy
Though not gonna lie, Nero you are dumb as a bag of rocks, you know you got Sparda blood in you and you know how much the sword of Dante's Brother reacts on you, it was 2+2 my dude
Not a argument
Dante taking a nap was hilarious, you could tell he was in good spirits seeing Vergil flustered.
"You've come all this way just for that?"
>this is supposed to have Shakespearan tales of deep intricacy
Even though it sort of unironically does
>they finally got a happy ending
>and we're getting Dragons Dogma 2
This timeline isnt so bad after all
Their dialogue in 3 was literally the most realistic depiction of brothers I have ever seen
>Give it to me
>No way, you have your own
>Well, I want your too
just a fact
And that's a good thing.
>can't pull off Million Stabs
what the fuck am I doing wrong
Mash
It's a DMC game, mate. The plot and the character are not deep. Everyone was surprised that they made a completely traditional DMC game, plot included.
But V was Vergil, not his own person.
It was Sparda's sword before it was Vergil's and Sparda was around for 1992 years before he banged Eva.
It wouldn't be exactly unreasonable for him to think that he's a descendant of some extinct bloodline started loooong before Sparda got it on with Eva - it's higly unlikely that she was the first one he ever got his bug dick wet with.
In fact ANIME aside, it's a more reasonable explanation than autistic, power obsessed Vergil having a kid at 15.
This. My older brother to this day still acts like a faggot like that. Prick has a job while I'm currently unemployed yet he still tries to fucking get me to lend him money because he's a fuckwit who doesn't know how to save his own.
People tend to forget something like DMC3 actually had a pretty great plot with proper arcs for all its central characters. I can never understand the "DMC games never had a good story" argument. DMC4 already went a bit into fanservice territory by bringing up both Trish and Lady for no reason whatsoever, and it's even worse in DMC5 because apparently we're contractually obliged to bring up every single character that has ever appeared in the series even if they don't serve any purpose in the main plot. In fact I'm willing to argue DMC4 had a better plot than DMC5 even if it was an unfinished game, at least Nero had one constant driving motivation throughout it whereas DMC5 just crams his daddy issues to the very end of the game without any kind of build-up.
I'm not asking some fantastic plot that defines video game storytelling, but at least I want something more serviceable than the entire story being about "hey, remember this, we love our fans again" with the only semblance of character development happening in the final mission.
It's MGS4 all over again.
>mfw using buster on that big bird quelaag bitch
V is literally Vergils nobody Urizen his heartless
Also I want to stress that I love the game itself, I just think that the story is complete crock.
>Yo, little brother! Come here! Let's take a selfie.
>Do Stinger
>While Stinging, release the stick and keep holding Triangle. Has to be done BEFORE THE MOVE hits
>Once Dante starts Million Stab, start mashing
You have to do it DURING the stinger animation, but before the impact. That throws people off.
DMC3 REmake when?
I couldn't get it to connect, how do you do it?
V was Vergil with his power fetish amputated, in fact, he was what vergil would have been if he never got on his autistic power trip. The game makes it clear that what made Vergil, d'uh VERGIL stayed with V, while all Your Reason got was "POWER, POWER, MOAR POWER, DO YOU LIKE POWER?".
>DMC5 just crams his daddy issues to the very end of the game without any kind of build-up.
to be fair, Dante knows right off the bat that its Vergil and its hinted to players, he knows that Vergil is Neros father which fans of the game already knew. Dante telling Nero right off the bat to let it go was a clear indicator of what was going to happen if he was to keep pushing, which is why we had seen his temper tantrum in the van later on. there is buildup and its pretty visible for people who played previous games, you may have just overlooked it.
also Lucia aint in the game, I wonder what she is up to anyway
HD collection is out mate, whats the point?
>Only booted up 3 to fight Vergil 3
>DMCV has a Vergil final boss and common enemies that aren't complete garbage
After DmC I think it's fair to get a fanservice story. The message of the game seemed to be trying to be as convincingly "DMC" as possible and putting as much space between it and the Ninja Theory game as it could, even if it meant the actual plot of the game came out kinda light. I agree that 3 was better, not sure about 4. That game had a lot of stupid characters in it that were simultaneously useless and unlikable, like Kyrie and Agnus. And the final boss had no charisma, it's just old pope man. Not much may have actually HAPPENED in DMCV but at least it was entertaining while it was going on.
Use the charged breakage when it's stunned
DMC4 completely fails as a story because the villain in it is a complete pushover and Dante is a god in the game that is completely untouchable.
I can only really criticize a few points in the DMC5 story. One being that Nero receives his Devil Trigger in a very boring way. There could have been also more interesting interactions with the bosses.
It's funny because DMC4 is the fanservice garbage and 5 the one that has some actual plot going on.
Go suck a cock you retard
So who got virgil dick wet? She must have been a looker.
Fucking retard
Vergil is family, and Dante isn't moralfag enough to execute his only brother purely out of a need for justice
my complaints arent so much about story but about gameplay, keep in mind these are opinions and as we all know opinions are shit
>too many teleporting enemies
>not enough interesting arenas, too many of them are just plain circle instead of having some height differences and ledges
>V not being more intuitive
>ranking system for other players making no sense when most of the time we dont get to see those players actions
apart from amount of teleporting enemies and maybe arena variety, none of these is a major complaint
DMC 5 is like a remake in many aspects desu.
Everyone forgets that Vergil actually got a shitload of character development trough V. Everything that V says are Vergil's actual though that he can't speak out or show because of his pride. Vergil is literally a completely different character now if you think about it.
I really liked how they used Kyrie as Nero's anchor, that phone call scene at the end was kino
Not like Vergil enjoys randomly murdering people, Urizen did most of the killing
What is up with these screens anyway? One of them shows Virgil and Nero so i suppose they're not canon and just for fun?
>Daddy issues
Way to not fucking understand the game. It's not just fucking Vergil he realizes Dante is his family too.
He went his entire life without a family, let his old brother figure die and he refuses to let any more family die or let Dante kill his brother.
Nah it canon, dad back and he joined the devil hunter business.
There really should have been a scene with Nero and her early on in the game where Nero laments never having a father or something similar, it would have made the ending a lot more powerful and not as contrived.
They kinda pushed it by making this scene coupled with the running gag that there are telephone booths working at the most bizarre locations, the one that Nero uses at the end being completely wireless.
>Daddy issues.
You're just a fucking retard whose getting BTFO in every single thread you go in.
Why canāt we fucking play as virgil? What the flying fuck. Where my 10000 slashes nothin personal gameplay?
way to ruin this
Nero didnt bitch about his lack of father through DMC4 and having him say shit like "well wish my dad was here" or something like that is a perfect way of ruining the hook
the point is that players already knew who is his dad but HE didnt.
True, but Vergil still did some pretty crappy things. But Dante's already lost him twice, he doesn't have it in him to kill his brother in cold blood

can we agree vergil 3 in dmc 3 was way harder than vergil 5 inn dmc 5?
Those lazy chinks couldn't afford to make Beowulf before release.
Because Capcom is fully aware you will buy the game again in a few years with the sole fact of Vergil being playable
No fuck off hater
Not really, i haven't seen the world of DMD DMC5 Vergil yet, but if we go by Normal difficulty in both games, DMC5 upped the challange way more
Harder=/= better.
It's only "Harder" because no style switching.
A less experienced player is still going to get swamp assed by Vergil
what? lmao im saying that it was harder not better stop seething faggot
>Asks Nico about how she feels saving the men who killed her father
>Nico asks him the same thing in the credits
Dunno, I feel like they went full circle there
I can agree here.
You can beat them both the same way anyway.
Wait unti he finishes an attack, stinger in, and jump cancel dive kick
yeah i know 5 is better im not saying that, but also royal guard actually works in dmc 5 so its a bit easier, still hard but more entertaining
Yeah, DMC 3 was just way harder than 4 and 5.
yeah i think 4 is the easiest in the series
The only disappointing thing about dmc5 is the lack of puzzles. I really liked the nidhogg blood puzzle later in the game even though it wasnt really a āpuzzleā but it wouldve been nice to have more giant doors and locking mechanisms blocking your way than blood barriers
yeah DMC5 Vergil was a disappointment compared to 3
especially the last one with Nero, it was super easy
Do these screens just pop up once you beat the game? I haven't started replaying it yet. Also is Nero now canon wise the strongest or did Vergil and Dante just phone it in in the end?
its actually 2 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 3
in terms of being easy
Royal guarding works in 3 too.
(you)
can we also just talk about how kino and perfect that ending is for the series as a whole
Dante and Vergil are way fucking stronger than Nero. Nero only damaged vergil as much as he did because he just got his ass kicked by dante
Well he already ripped off Inuyasha; Vergil is basically Sesshomaru.
>If I beat him, I beat you by default ok Dante?
both Dante and Vergil was already tired from fighting and after that they still bitchslapped Nero
It was meant to be easy. They knew that they can't force you to switch characters so unexpectedly, and immediately throw you into a top-tier bossfight.
It would also would totally trash the narrative they were trying to go for.
Which is a bit said how the game ends without a true final boss, but oh well.
he's still a fucking manchild
Dante vs Vergil is the final boss. Nero vs vergil is just sephiroth without his shirt on tier
>Dante is reading up on the month's worth of news he missed
>Vergil is wondering when he can make more green tea
>stuck in a rape dungeon for 20 years
give him a break
Will Vrrgil receive a story of his own or they will just throw him on the main scenario ?
Why does Vergil looks like such a schlock clown?
no planned DLC after bloody palace
which means Special Edition re-release next year for $40
Lads, will a pirated save work on a legit copy?
How the fuck do I use Faust?
Anyone else thought the samurai poses were goofy as fuck
>no planned DLC after bloody palace
>Believing this
Yeah right, MHW team said that they weren't working on a expansion, then one month later they announce an expansion.
Anyone else just plan on using Rebellion instead of Devil Sword Dante for their future playthroughs?
DSD just doesnt feel ass good
I suppose we all knew this would happen.
yeah DSD sucks ass and looks like shit
cant see what it shouldnt
shit taste
Yes
A shame 'cause i like the new Drivei nput
Does he just forget Nero is his kid and not Dante's?
>my son is of no concern to me!
>later
>Nero is my son??
>hardly even remembers having sex
>if I beat him I beat you ok?
for brainlet?
throw hat onto enemies and then use melee for red orbs
for cuhrayzee gambler?
embrace the risks and movesets of it, works great with trickster/gunslinger switching
its all about risk and reward
Can somebody explain this autist's logic
Mission 19
Dante: Hey Vergil I need yamato to seal the underworld
Vergil: Suck my dick, let's fight
Mission 20
Nero: Daddy we need yamato to seal the underworld
Vergil: You're right, let's pospone this fight
Possibly. I found DSD awesome, but instead of something interesting it gets the easy mode autoattack for Swordmaster, which is a bit of a bummer.
And I really like this sleek version of Rebellion.
>samurai poses
did you forget Michael Jackson impression Dante makes with that hat?
Might makes right nigga.
Nero defeated him in battle
>Whatever, I don't really care, I'm going to sit this one out
Once Nero showed and told them to work together he realized the greatest power is the power of friendship.
he literally waited 20+ years for that fight
Vergil is essentially the embodiment of the DMC fanbase. He's like "okay cool we had the Vergil fight DMC is good again now"
that autist had shit pushed in by his son and would rather not get his shit pushed in by son and dante at the same time so he rolled with it
He said that if Nero won he would go along.
>He went his entire life without a family, let his old brother figure die and he refuses to let any more family die or let Dante kill his brother.
No shit retard. Problem is it's not communicated in the game proper in any way prior to that moment. Yeah, backstory wise all the players knew all along he's Vergil's spawn, but Nero's loneliness, being still hung up over Credo's death and family issues in general magically come up to his head the moment when he realizes Vergil is his father.
Hence the lack of build up.
Vergil really likes his poetry
He still got to fight Dante a lot more in hell, he got what he wanted in the end.
Dante made demands before the fight, so Vergil made him earn it, and failed. Nero kicked Vergil's ass and told him to do it, so Vergil had to concede.
THE ANGEL THAT PRESIDED ON MY BIRTH
get out
This is 100% canon
>In fact it feels outright rape of DMC3 since its ending already nicely wrapped up the brotherly rivalry with Vergil taking the other amulet with him and dropping into hell.
I guess we'll just pretend like 1 doesn't exist you retarded anime poster.
What's the most recent/most up to date DMC collection? I wanna play the old games again as well after this. I'm really feeling the DMC.
Okabe mentioned they're working on it, so expect an announcement probably with bp.
Would Dante really fight over a poetry book?
Mission 19
Dante: Vergil, I fucking swear, this is the second time you have unleashed primordial evil and killed a lot of people, you need an asswhooping.
Vergil: Fucking hell that's all I ever wanted in the first place
Mission 20
Nero: Dad, Uncle, I fucking swear, you two need to be stop being idiots, and actually seal the evil!
Vergil: Let's wrestle for it!
-5 minutes later-
Vergil: Good enough. Let's roll
>it's a more reasonable explanation than autistic, power obsessed Vergil having a kid at 15
Vergil wanted to be like Sparda VERY BADLY
So bad in fact that he probably tried to father twins
The HD collection?
he's not entirely wrong, pretty much every DMCfag on earth knows that Vergil 3 is one of the best boss fights ever made and previously the peak of the franchise
I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I waterd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine.
And into my garden stole,
When the night had veild the pole;
In the morning glad I see;
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.
(So it is written.)
HD collection on console of your choice or on steam
>Nero defeated him in battle
But Nero didn't. Quote: "I can still fight" translation: YOU DIDNT WIN
Vergil is a honour autist, he lost, he accepts demands.
He even told Dante to heal and get stronger before the fight.
>Vergil: Fucking hell that's all I ever wanted in the first place
kek
No, he's saying that they fight over stuff. So, he wants to pre-emptively write his name on the book to show that it's his.
HD Collection has 1-3, get that and 4SE.
>that Lady face
Dante
Vergil 3 being good, doesn't make his statement right.
What orphan wouldn't get upset when he learned that he's father is alive and is an asshole standing before him? You wanted a hothead like Nero to be cool about it?
Nero beat his ass pretty smoothly. The "I can still fight" is pure bravado and he immediately sheathes his sword after.
If I see that little Lady one more time...
You're the only one talking up any kind of sense in these threads. I can't believe people actually like this wank.
Not much time to brood or talk about it when you spend most of it cuhrayzee-ing as a job.
I imagine it was all there in the back of his mind until Vergil showed up, and the immediate relevance of the situation made everything surface and it hit him all at once like a brick to the face.
Vergil couldn't have possibly have defeated him in his weakened state after fighting Dante and Nero made it clear they weren't going to be fighting to the death.
Did you expect Vergil to just autistically keep fighting a losing battle despite knowing full well he would neither win nor die.
Besides if Vergil got KO'd Dante would take his fucking sword to seal the hole himself.
Play the HD Collection on PS3. The modern port of the Collection fucks up DMC1 really badly.
I mean if you have no other option the Modern HD Collection is better than nothing, but try to play the PS2 or PS3 versions.
When first confronted with it he goes on the defensive and automatically responds with the "I have no son! Loved ones whom I would need and fail to protect again
But after a little fighting he reconsiders, and asks Dante if he really has a son, trying to process it.
Then the son appears and he does the only thing he knows how; foight!
>beat game
>love it
>go see if anyone's streaming it

It's like three missing textures, you'll never notice them unless you know where they are.
t. didn't notice them
I completely forgot about photomode trough the entire game, and now I feel like I've missed a golden opportunity.
Please share anything crazy you've made.
In the other thread i said i would record it, here it is, using Buster during Sin DT Devil Trigger attack
Even if Vergil was tired, Nero successfully pushing back DDT Vergil is still a good feat and is enough to make him top three. Nero is definitely above the likes of Mundus and Sparda. My personal power ranking would go like this.
1. Dante with DSD - Beat Urizen twice and managed to stalemate Vergil and bring him to his knees right after the Urizen fights. End cutscene of DMC5 showed that a fresh Dante can beat Vergil, and he was still overpowering Vergil before the demons interrupted.
2. Post-Revival Vergil - Stronger than Urizen and has his own DDT. Fought Dante and Nero back-to-back and made them both go all out.
3. Nero - Fought off DDT Vergil though it took his all to beat Vergil after he was softened by Dante. His human form stronger than base DT Dante as he managed to cut Urizen's hand
4. Urizen - Managed to beat DT Dante when he was wielding Sparda
5. Sparda
6. Mundus
7. Trish with Sparda
8. Sanctus with Sparda - I think he's below Trish simply because she has more experience with the sword
9. Agrosax - it was forgettable according to Dante
>this coat doesnt fit me
>sun is too bright
>Dante is too loud, I dont like Dante
>my feet hurt
>I wish I was in underworld getting more POWER
I was surprised that there doesn't seem to be a gamerip circulating around, so I took a break from the game to upload a (possibly incomplete) one.

Note that NONE OF IT IS TAGGED and the folders are really messy because nothing is named. Some stuff is also probably sorted wrong, but most of it should be in the right place.
He even shows up with the cape at the start. I'm surprised no one moded his face onto normal Vergil for a perfect reproduction.
why would I care about that jerkoff
Vergil is still an autismo, no matter how many people kick his ass he'll still try to save face. He even used severing the roots as an excuse.
No idea why it's shaking so much or the quality is shit, must have messed up something with Premiere, oh well
>Anyone above Sparda
Let's not get wacky now.
If he hates it, then that means a lot of people are gonna love it out of spite.
>He even told Dante to heal and get stronger before the fight.
I don't think Vergil was really going to do anything. He wasn't going to stop the tree but he also didn't have any malicious intentions now that he's whole. "Urizen" saw his plan through to fruition. What exactly is Vergil going to do if Dante doesn't chase?
I think the strongest implication is that he'll just go down to the underworld and kill demons indiscriminately and I don't think anyone would have a problem with that.
The game is super hype right now, I don't know if any combo mavens ever hit triple digit viewership. Elajjaz is doing pretty well though and he's got a nice following. Also, "first try" is a meme, people say that on shit they had mad trouble with.
Their relationship is complicated. Dante and Vergil never hated each other. They just thought that their everything was too opposite to ever be together and their only memories of doing anything was always fighting. Dante stole things from Vergil constantly still is, fucking Beowulf. Vergil could never win against him in fights when they were younger and he eventually associated losing to Dante as why his life went to shit. Dante meanwhile was living in the now and thought that Vergil's obsession with power would simply mean that tons of people would always be dying if Vergil was left alive. Killing him would hurt, a lot, but he couldn't just leave him to murder more power for selfish reasons. The final bit has Dante realize that Vergil is in fact passed that and he doesn't want to gain power for the sake of it. He just wants to fight Dante because it's the only thing that they do to be close to each other. Vergil meanwhile has somewhat gotten over his obsession with beating Dante, because he realizes that he doesn't need to fear Dante taking away his happiness. He IS his happiness, along with Nero.
Their fights now are just normal brotherly quarrels, not a means to try to resolve some conflict within themselves.
So son of sparda has different enemies with more life, what about dante must die ?
Nero's interactions with Vergil are so damn cute.
Just beat this shit on Devil Hunter, and then went back to beat Urizen again in the prologue for the secret joke ending.
What's the best way to grind out rorbs? I didn't really fuck around with the Faust hat (although I did find out you can put it on Urizen which is fucking hysterical, pic related.)
Yes, I did finish the game and my Dante abilities are still stuck in 85%.
Can anyone please confirm that there's an extra ability once you beat the game in a harder difficulty, or is my game just bugged?
Any of the missions that are Boss only, and maybe Mission 13
hes crying because its DMC and not God of War, this is not a joke! he wanted capcom to completely change the game and turn into a pseudo rpg
Unless it a recton happened, Dante surpassed Sparda by DMC4. Anyone who can beat DMC4 Dante should be able to beat Sparda which would include Nero, Urizen and Vergil.
>I wish I knew how to quit you
for DMD you lube up
>""news""
DSD sucks design wise, it looks like Monster Hunter sword. Rebellion looks like a proper sword
This just happened while i was trying to get the previous shot.
I have a couple more from each's perspective
>you will accept my existence
In Nico's report about SDT Dante she mentions it MAY even surpass Sparda in power
>slap and tickle
Sounds like news to me, user.
Literally the final boss of PR Wild Force/Gaoranger.
/m/ NERD
>Mfw finished the fight that move and I didn't even know if it was going to work
Some Nero's new moves remind me about a fucking Artorias.
DMC4 once mentioning once that "some say surpassed" isn't really a grand benchmark tough. Who the fuck is that "some"? Human hearsay who haven't really seen either of them in thousands of years?
The only real thing we got to go by is beating Mundus, something that both Sparda and Dante did. And Dante did it with Sparda's sealed weapon, while the LDK did it on his own. And neither of them could really kill him.
>he wanted capcom to completely change the game and turn into a pseudo rpg
I doubt he can finish it if they change it.
it's the one arm thing and left handed sword
his animations often need to make sense in the context that he may not have a right arm
Does photo mode have adjustable facial experession?
It's meant to be a victory lap. Like how in God Hand you fight the big demon god thing with two God Hands after beating Devil Hand.
Any tips to beat Urizen in the Prologue that is not Heaven or Hell? i keep wailing on the crystal but it's doing nothing
>what is this mechanical sorcery, Nero?
WHY IS HE CLAPPING IN THE VAN
>It's meant to be a victory lap
Yeah that is the best way to describe it I suppose. The closest thing DMC gets to a cinematic bossfight.
>MOM SAID IT'S MY TURN
Did you pick up Kalinna Ann? There's double Kalinna Ann abilities to unlock
>not this fucking shit again
i love this.
i love the remixes
What are the boss only missions? Only Gilgamesh as far as I remember
>that glass fuckery with the rocket
Alright V, your turn.
to piss off Dante
>when he finally shows up
I knew it was gonna happen but goddamn
Wow, Vergil actually is really handsome
>Sanctus
Final Urizen
Vergils
I love the cut effects so much, for a sec i legit thought my monitor messed up.
user pls, the screenshot you posted is from one.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK HOLY SHIT
I'm so fucking happy they made Judgement Cut End one of his boss moves.
If you just want the achivement and secret ending swallow your pride and play on Human. I did it first try then.
Use Punch Line and Charge Shot to bust the crystal, Devil Trigger if you need to heal, and use the Punch Line charge attack on Urizen when the crystal's broken. I was able to take him down in one round with that. Apparently if he regens the crystal it gets a lot tougher.
Yes... and by abilities I mean the basic abilities like air hike and enemy step...
I suppose my game is just bugged then.
Sadly no.
I had to use the RG stance change to give Dante a smug face.
To simulate fapping noises, which Dante will be making in a few minutes
But that wasn't me big guy
KNEEL BEFORE ME
Vergil & Dante Getting out of Hell COOP DLC
It was great for a few seconds, then the only thing I could think of was
"Okay, what now?
making that Chris Redfield face right there
>VERGIL, PLAY WITH YOUR SON
I'll have to finish it on Human anyway, since it has the same issue as DMC4; it won't unlock the achievement on higher difficulty.
Here's your Trish DT bro.
The van seems much bigger on the inside than it is on the outside
>Vergil does autistic weeb katana move
>Dante one ups him with an Itano Circus
Dante is /m/.
so
when is bloody palace coming
ofc, Rebellion is way prettier than that MHW collab sword
hello donguri
convince me to buy
The fuck is Hell & Hell?
Haven't gotten everything for Dante yet, but i assume he has a Recovery Provocation as well? not sure
BROTHER PLEASE GIVE ME YAMATO
PATTY IS OVULATING AGAIN
NO WAY SENPAI
>the fight against V's summons is extremely fun and has fantastic hype remix
>but it's also the saddest fight of the game
if vergil is playable does that mean he will have a SDT with V
You die in one hit, enemies don't
lol donguri couldn't even beat DH Vergil without revives after 10 tries.
Donguri actually had an extremely hard time with DMC5. He streamed his playthrough of it and got his ass kicked by Vergil in both fights.
So, is Patty in?
Oh jesus
Don't get hit: the mode
Fuck, I never cared about ugly mocap models before, but Vergil is one of my favorite characters ever. I'm bummed that he's fugly.
>āi-its cause i cant guard fly theres no inertia...ā
Maybe because he's a shitty one trick pony
As a voice and a file entry, that's it
Yikes
damn, that actually makes me feel radical, i was able to beat vergil with no revives on dh on my second try
Big Dong gets absolutely BTFO in DMC5 and kept >getting hit. Notice that he only plays boss rushes and Bloody Palace lower 20 levels in DMC4
really liked all DMC1 references there
Do you only get the second picture if you get a S rank?
someone with literally everything unlocked go count how many possible actions dante has.
i might be wrong but he could be the character in any action game with the biggest number of moves.
it's honestly really fucking ridiculous
Well shit.
>he actually got Daimon hands
To be fair the lack of turbo mode also throws off everything I have. I can parry DMD DMC3 Vergil summon sword EZ, but struggles in 5
Photo mode is fun
heretic is better than donguri.
Recovery Provocation?
Not sure what you mean by that. Obviously there's nothing else to buy for me. It's just stuck in 85%.
you might be onto something considering he has access to 4 firearms and 4 melee weapons at once with 4 styles to switch between and two demon forms and many moves change between these
Wouldn't Bayonetta still have more with all the magic item and dial strings?
Think vergil would try and clean the place up at all?
>they went through the trouble of making that screen
>the red jacket isn't an alt costume for her
WHY
>Sparda is a bug roach
>Dante and Vergil are lizards
>Nero is a birb
How does DT even work in this universe
Because it's for the DLC campaign
>What orphan wouldn't get upset when he learned that he's father is alive and is an asshole standing before him? You wanted a hothead like Nero to be cool about it?
I wonder if the writers could've handled the whole thing much thing better by delivering the reveal to Nero much earlier in the story. The main issue is that it happens so late into the story that Nero's personal thoughts about family issues and past regrets that haven't been mentioned even once in the entire game suddenly becoming central to his character feels a tad bit unnaturally quick. Revealing it earlier could've been used to more naturally build up Nero finally facing his father and eventually subverting it by deciding to prevent Dante from killing Vergil, but we get all of it in the span of a handful of cutscenes. While the idea itself isn't bad by any means, the delivery definitely is.
Tangentially related and the following goes more towards gameplay complaints, but I also found it's a very weird design choice to unlock Nero's DT only in the final battle with it also doubling as a tutorial. IMO it would've been much better if Nero unlocked his DT earlier, with the game being being made harder in turn to account for its power. I guess it's meant for replaying on harder difficulties, but still.
dont forget goats griffons, horses etc.
can you put it on Vergil and Cerberus?
>get incredibly used to using the SM sword spin to get easy parries on certain enemies
>Dante's sword changes to conjure swords
>that attack is now gone
I have immediately gone from getting S or above constantly to constantly eating shit. Fucking why?
>literally the KING of hate
C'mon user, bait harder man.
It's worth remembering that there;s a large number of leaks that come out of Capcom both in the recent past and in the present. They're probably just doing false positives or saying no when they're actually doing something.
It's probably influenced by your personality.
Neither Dante or Vergil also showcased Nero's dimensional arm ability or whatever the fuck he uses to still wear the devil breakers.
>Sparda's the old cockroach that existed before dinosaurs
>Dante and Virgil are the dinosaurs
>Nero is trex.zip
Nero's son's DT is gonna be sunny side up
You think Nero can actually fly with those wings? I wonder if he takes Kryie on moonlit flights of fancy. What do the towns folk of Fortuna think of him now? The order tried so hard to become 'angels' and now Nero pretty much becomes one on his own.
forsen is destroying this game bros
Neroās DT ass though
Inb4 it's revealed Lucia is his dad.
>Two final bosses
>They're both Vergil
>Two Devil Bringers
>TWO Kalina Anns
Fursona
he is clapping to the music
>There are even some DMC2 references
I like it, actually.
Shit meant Mom.
The Order knocks on his door and sucks his cock to come back and lead them to a golden age as their figurehead?
Fortuna's tourism skyrockets as Nero takes tourists for a ride for a few bucks
Same. You can still use that move with YY + YY (hold the last Y to keep spinning) but it isn't as fast as pressing a single button.
Is it ever explained how people get out of the demon world in the first place? Like how did vergil get out from the end of three, or how did dante get out from the end of two?
>this is the real DMC2
I tried with Vergil, and he just swats it away like he does with the punchline. Might be possible when he's being combod though, but I was too focused on just trying to beat the fucker to mess around too much.
I came to understand the power of Royal Guard in that last fight with Vergil though.
>Lucia
>Dad
Wow user, demons really break all conventions, don't they? But I was kind of thinking that, maybe not Lucia, but another Secretary, since it's now revealed that Agnus worked for Uroborus, it wouldn't be surprising if the work that went into making artificial demons for them was tantamount to the ascension ceremony.
ME WANT LADY GF
It's on all 3 Cerberus' heads.
Hol up, at first I thought it was just a retextured version of Lady's (and so understood why they wouldn't add it as its own costume) but that's totally something new. That's gotta be an indicator of something larger, I mean we don't even have coatless costumes so there's no way they're scanning in a new jacket for a single picture.
dee ehl see or SE
>vergil get out from the end of three
Mundus captured him and turned him into Nelo Angelo
>dante get out from the end of two
Yamato opens a portal for him when it was researched by the Order, pretty much the reason why 2 was changed to take place before 4
in novel preceding the game there is an asspull where underworld has those holes that monsters use to leave the place, and some places on earth are more in tune with underworld, so more holes appear there, dante slipped through one of these
No not really. Since 2 was rushed, it never got properly explained.
But for Vergil returning, he got turned into Nero Angelo, and been sent back to the human world, where he got loose once Mundus was crammed back.
Those wings give him a triple jump when out of DT.
And he enters the final boss after flying straight into the sky and dropping down in between Dante and Vergil.
He can probably fly.
Man, imagine the Order's reaction to his new form if they were alive.
He's channeling that Sparda blood in an pseudo angelic manner like their theme. But he's doing it way more loyally to Sparda's will.
I donāt like hack n slash games, but these threads have me motivated. Should I give it a try or will I hate it?
Is this a cutscene?
Where is this ingame?
>just fought cavalier
holy shit based itsuno
Too late user. Expect a doujin where Lucia rapes Vergil with her thick futa cock coming out of her dark cloaca
It's during the mainmenu in the car.
Main menu after you beat the game
Try the demo first, if you enjoy that you'll almost certainly have a great time with the full game.
I WANT DLCCCCCCCCC
You can earn Rebellion and Sparda back again later if you wish.
>brother, do you seriously sleep with that...tomboy?
>both DSD and Cerberus have almot their entire Swordmaster moveset on normal moves now
>Cerberus even got cool charged attacks
>can actually play well with them while being in Trickster or Gunslinger even without autistic amounts of style switching
It's possible.
A werewolf action game would be nice
>tfw figuring it out and doing it first try
Busters seem fun. I need to play DMC4.
>DLC comes
>Dante and Vergil jackpot demons with Lady's rocket lauchers instead of pistols
How long before the inevitable Sparda game? Honestly surprised it hasn't happened yet.
>Using DT Buster on staggered Artemis
JESUS CHRIST Nero what did the poor girl ever do to you?
>5 seems to be selling well and attracting attention
>Lady nude model already in the game
>Meme50 is still active
Lady golden age soon.
Does anyone get a bug where the character viewer mode under gallery flickers with bugged shadow? My PC can play the game no problem, I don't understand where this comes from.
>WHAT IS THIS DANTE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SENSE OF FASHION
Would Vergil have become like Urizen if he continued his mad quest for power?
Novel explains it. Apparently holes open up randomly all the time, but they are usually very small. Structures set up by demons can open larger portals, but need Devil Arms to function. Yamato was specifically crafted to be able to open portals and it's shards were found at Fortuna, while 1 was in possession of Balrog, who was using it to open gates for his army. It seems like Yamato was broken when Vergil was trying to prevent Mundus from using it to get into the real world and for the most part he succeeded. Mundus could only put a bit of himself through the portal to possess the statue at Mallet Island and took 10 years to get to the level of power he was at DMC1.
That said do you get any new stuff for the original swordsmaster style if you level it up after finishing the game?
Or are all the unlocks for the broadswords stuck with only DSD?
Oh hai I upgraded your RAM
I'm old
Sparda will appear as a cameo in DD2
Went ahead and just did it
Same energy.
>DT Buster on Malphas
you get one more skill for Dante when you beat Son Of Sparda mode
It called "full customisation" or some shit and lets you remove Rebellion/DSD and E&I from your load-out
>second time a demonic structure popped into a city
>TWO devil triggers for dante
>vergil is split into two
>Vergil's SDT gives him dual arm blades
Baka gaijin
Me too
Not there yet.
Is it good?
>Hey, bro! Come here! Let's take a selfie.
>It's revealed that DD universe is actually the past of Earth
>the weird creatures, the way the world works, is all the work of the underworld
>Sparda and humans work to seal it away and after completely cutting it off, the Earth returns to it's normal rounded form
So dante and vergil can make it back if they give it enough time?
I asked this when RE2 came out and it had some fun inputs from anons so i will ask again, DMC5 overall consensus is that it's a great game, but was the things you did not liked? i honestly can't say much aside maybe a few plotholes here and there that don't matter much
Finally an actual answer. Been asking about this for 3 threads. Thank you, user.
With the fact that vergil and dante can use summoned swords, we come to the conclusion that Sparda can too.
I want to see how'd it work with Demon Sword Sparda
for getting hit by that first charge up attack on a new game
Vergil has Yamato. They could go back right now.
They could open up a portal whenever they want. Yamato has that capability. They just want to have more fights in a place that they don't care about. Once they have had their fill, they will leave. Vergil promised Nero that he would be back 'for a rematch' and to get his book back.
Vergil's face.
considering Vergil has Yamato, they can come and go as they please
probably because he was experimenting way more than anyone in this thread?
Just look at the grins of these two. Pure bliss
Mostly just plot and faces for me. Probably some gameplay choices I'd come up with when I replay it later
I got it
Willingly? Unlikely, he was trying to emulate the legend of his father. He wanted to become the most badass warrior to ever exist in both worlds.
But who knows, the mad path to power takes people to unexpected places.
I have the strong suspicion they had more fun making this game than we do playing it
See, that's what I thought when Nero said they can't come back, but I guess they're just saving the reveal that Nero's a dumbass who doesn't know that.
Mission 4 WHEN?
Woulda liked some more weapons for Dante but then again I dunno what you could really add, the things we got and what they can do cover so much ground already. I do miss something like Spiral but Kalina Ann 2 covers that ground already.
I guess playable Virgil and girls will come in the inevitable SE or DLC.
>Vergil kills thousands of innocent people to harvest their blood
>everyone is just kinda cool with it
So all they needed was a fight and someone to tell them to stop because theyāre both too stubborn to give in first
>No way to get those blade wheels out of blade mode
>Invisible enemies always annoy me
>Behemoths are cunts
That's it really.
Why'd they fuck up Vergil's and Trish's appearance up so much?
an expanded lucifer or something similar to it would be great
Once again, Vergil's Tower of Power has no consequences.
I love how self aware the characters are by the end, it's the kind of shit you would expect from a suda51 game but it fits so well
Nero's control scheme got convoluted by the end. Which became obvious when DT was put on the dpad. But at the same time I still wanted to switch breakers
>Playing as V
>Useless Trish and Lady
>Too many loading screens
>Can't replay missions as any character
>No playable Vergil
Urizen is not Vergil.
Could done with some slightly more interesting environments. The whole game looks fantastic from a technical perspective, but the environments are pretty drab and uninteresting.
I was hoping for some weird psychadelic shit when we got the the tree, but it was just 10 chapters of pretty much the exact same looking hallways.
That and if you listen to Vergil throughout the fight, it becomes apparent he -really- doesn't want to fight Nero. Just let him kill you sometime, he doesn't rub it in at all, he just mournfully calls Nero an idiot.
This is going to sound stupid, but does all of your weapons and such transfer over when you go to the next difficulty, or do you have to re-get all of the stuff?
I honestly think they should have given V a smaller Phantom as his true ultimate summon. For a variety of reasons:
1. This would actually complete the quartet of noteworthy bosses of DMC1 (minus story and character bosses like Mundus and Nero Angelo)
2. It would be just fucking cool to have a massive lava-spider-scorpion melting, crushing, hunting and smashing your enemies and it would likely look amazing in the RE engine
3. This would have given Griffon someone to converse with since he's currently the only summon capable of speaking and considering that Lightning and Fire were mutual weaknesses in DMC1 they probably could have had some fun banter
4. I just want to hear Phantom's boasting bloaty voice again.
Also, Dante wouldn't leave the deed to Morrison if he was planning on staying away. He knew he would keep it safe for him, while Lady and Trish would fight over it and probably wreck everything. If he thought he was going to be trapped in hell forever, he wouldn't care who got the deed, or he would have left it to Nero. All of the ending is just to show that yes, Dante and Vergil plan on coming back and not to worry.
>Happy with the idea of Nico / Nero pairing being the main duo for the next game with Dante and Vergil taking a break
>Realise that means no style switching character
Please give Nero something or have a style switching character Itsuno.
This. Honestly i'm pretty shit at Nero, so i changed him back to DMC4 layout at the end. I want to be able to change devil breakers but im sure the gameplay would become even messier then.
Everything transfers over, been the same in all DMC games, but i assume you are new to this so don't worry
Well Dante was going to kill him, but then M20 happened. Outside of murder, what else can you do outside of watching him like a hawk and making sure he doesn't get raped by demons or pull a Xehanort like how he did in 5 to kick off the plot
It helped they actually learned they had a family beyond just each other.
Vergil was genuinely thankful to Nero for helping him out during his time as V, he just was too much of a dipshit to realize that Nero was his son.
>Can't swap devil hands without fucking getting rid of them
Probably nobody knows what to do with it.
It was his responsibility, but he also helped to fix it, soooo what now?
Outside of killing him what can they do? Report him to the local police? Lock him up? It's a guy with a sword that can cut portals.
Where da fuck are all the cool unlockables
I mean, TECHNICALLY Nelo Angelo is there...
>Wahhh why do I have to get good
>Why do different characters play differently
>V is boring to play
>every area looks the same
>Vergil's haircut
>shitty music on the final boss
>no alt costumes
Well, it was more "You don't have to kill each other to settle things." Vergil realized that Dante had changed, he wasn't there to take away Vergil's things anymore. Dante realized that Vergil just wanted to fight because it was how they had always spent time together and not because he wanted to rule the world.
>on the ending cutscene with dante and vergil dante's bullets hit the screen and trigger the results screen
pure kino
>just wanted to hear Red Hot Juice get remixed
I would like to imagine that, after V and Urizen fused again, V was actually in charge since they gave Urizen the beating of a lifetime. Kinda pummeled him into submission you know?
He's still there, since he is just plain part Vergil, but V now has way more influence and actually makes Vergil be kind of OK with being part human.
The entire game's plot was about Vergil, who is in the game for maybe 30 minutes. The pacing of the story is bonkers. Realistically not much happens but they retell the same part 3+ times but just from different perspectives. Fuck off. advance the fucking story.
>Vergil
>"i wont lose to you Dante"
>gets power ups everywhere
>still "needs more power"
>"get rest Dante, then we will fight"
How come Vergil still acts as he is the shit when he loses everytime?
Can you imagine being this brainlet. holy jesus
What kind of retarded argument is this?
If anything letting you swap offers you more variety and nuance, dipshit
Any tips on gitting gud at Urizen? I see you fags talking about beating him on prologue, i only get my ass handled to me even on human
Yeah, something like this would've been great.
How are you gonna scroll past without saying howdy?
>Nero Ex Machina is a bit abrupt
>No true villain
>No playable Vergil, but we all knew how this will go
>Camera is a bit drunk sometimes
>plot about Vergil's return felt like setup for something greater
>Lady and Trish are just kinda there
>no costumes beyond reskins
>jukebox is limited to battle themes and the classic tracks, was hoping I could use the boss themes
I'd have loved it if Vergil was playable but I know he'll be coming in some form down the line, and hell the game's hardly short on playable characters as it is so I'm fine with that.
>most of the game took place within a day
Unbased and retardpilled
I don't know how people struggled so hard on some of these bosses on DH
The only one that fucked me up badly was the chicken riding bitch
not him. all of those are valid as fuck. The hell environments are cool in bits, not when its literally most of the game. It got repetitive.
Vergil's greatest strength is playing off his loses like they're nothing
>Vergil's Tower of Power
kek
It's not hard to be good with nero, but it would've been fun to have more flexibility with your current breakers.
Story could've use one or two more missions at the end once Virgil is revived. Everything feels rushed after the final Urizen fight.
The battle themes periodically disappearing for fights is really odd.
Keep defending retarded decisions because you're literally too stupid to understand arguments that supersede your own
Howdy KFC
Yeah, well aristocrats have needlessly murder people for their own personal gain across all of history; so, I guess you're right.
I actually likes Urizen's increasing salt throughout the fight
>HOW ARE YOU SO STRONG AAA DIE DIE DIE
>Vergil
>in the game for 30 minutes
Did you forget about V? He isn't his own person, he IS Vergil.
>the Qlipoth was the third tower erected by Vergil
You're as retarded as the "durr cant swap arms" faggots
Lucky for me you idiots usually leave these games once the next game comes along and you never explore the depth, leaving us real fans
Is bloody palace on here? I was told youāre force to play with Nero again and the new guy
I just wanna level Dante up and practice my combos.
you kinda have a point
and why do demons suddenly answer to him like the ending of DmC vergil's downfall anyway, because he has a bigger dick as urizen I guess
This is this best DMC5 meme so far.
>Vergil: Brother, do you not think we should atleast tell my son we already got out of hell?
>Dante: Eh, heĀ“ll be fine, im just gonna enjoy the first vacation in years with him in charge now.
the first thing i noticed when i started playing was that the subtitles font looks a lot like the font used in mgsv
F
IT HAS BEGUN
>>
>I mean Jesus, the game itself was great but the story was just cheap fanservice diarrhea. It's like the devs rightfully realized what a mistake DmC was but then went way too deep into the exact opposite extreme of creating a "love letter" to fans.
I agree with you. The plot of DMC5 is honestly its weakest aspect, and probably the weakest among DMC1 and DMC3. Maybe tied with DMC4
i think he might be brain damaged. He doesn;t remember all the times he lost or that he has a son. 2 mins after the fight he even forgot why he was mad at Dante.
No, it will be released in April as free DLC, we don't know when exactly sadly, according to Itsuno he has some surprises for it
They probably don't recognize him as the spawn of Sparda so don't mind following the orders of a guy who's just a strong as fuck demon.
>You're as retarded as the "durr cant swap arms" faggots
nice argument
I'm kinda conflicted if switching Devil breakers at will would be good or not for the game.
Like, You could still lose it if you got hit while using it, or using the breakaway, or charging it.
Yeah yeah there is risk/reward with it but... wasn't this the same kind of thing with Dante's Styles in 3?
Kinda conflicted, maybe using a mod with devil breaker switcher would help me decide.
God I can't wait until you shallow fucks leave
City parts looked pretty cool and I feel that even with the darker pallette they still were pretty distinguishable from eachother, but I got bored of the tree segments most of the time. In there for a good chunk of the game and there's nothing that really spices up the monotony, I feel that even DMC3's tower had some more variance in aesthetics compared to the tree
With his Devil Trigger, can Nero summon the avatar he used in his Devil Bringer?
>Vergil = aristocrat
Well I guess that's about right. Vergil is an autistic out-of-touch fuck with no useful life skills to speak of.
Stupid cute Nero.
Is it including Rebellion, Sparda and alt Cavaliere?
Faust hat is the fucking best
Haha, the self projection from this guy
This so much. Considering how the buildup is pretty good, with enough exposition and "oh shit" moments. Then it's
>Urizen who have been built up expertly till now
>Urizen gone
>Vergil is back
>Vergil vs Dante but without the tension we love Vergil for
>Nero vs Vergil which is less of a bossfight and more of an interactive cutscene.
>Roll credits
You kinda just have to humor him
>IF I BEAT NERO I'M STRONGER THAN YOU DANTE
>Yeah okay
Goddamn it
Does Dante have at least a good bit of missions to do? Wish they made separate campaigns like they do for vergil
yes
It would be nice for some more variety with Nero. Dante has 10 million options which affect his gameplay just as much, and the Devil Breakers aren't so powerful that it would be broken.
Has anyone figured out an optimal way to build style against the Sin Scissors as Dante?
What is notable is Goliath, you had the area change some and all around it, but it only ever is that dynamic in that bossfight, the others are fairly typical, even if still very enjoyable.
I liked Nero and that thing beaten each other through the place.
I don't like how many levels take place in that god damn tree, on ps4 with motion blur forced it's hard to see shit especially secret mission scribblings
I wish they upped the difficulty for Vergil vs Nero a bit, im sure it will be a challenge in DMD, but after how much he kicked my ass in mission 19, mission 20 felt a bit underwhelming, but then again it may have been on purpose to show how strong Nero is now
Well, that was never part of Vergil's plan. He just wanted to separate his demon half to fight Dante. Urizen used Yamato to go back to hell, grab a Qlipoth seed and then come back and plant it. V immediately regrets his decision, because now a bunch of people are going to die because Urizen just wanted to rule instead of fight Dante. In fact, Urizen didn't care anything about Dante or even Sparda's legacy. Sparda was useless to him and he didn't care about it.
So it's not surprising that they aren't giving Vergil any shit, because Tree man is the one who pulled this shit.
Why did he bang that random Fortuna chick as opposed to saving it for demon ladies?
>can't swap devil hands, must forcibly break them
>level design is fucking ASS, 80% of the game is demon tower up or down, 15% is town area with little variation and 5% is illusory\bonus levels, all of this is fucking grey and colorless, compared to DMC4 it's pretty fucking abysmal in terms of presentation
>it felt too short, but maybe it's because it was so fun to play that time felt sped up?
>dante's enemies could finally be designed to accomodate his crazy playstyle but seem to just scratch the surface, at least he is not backtracking an entire game again
>lady and trish are criminally underused, even when they are freed they do absolutely nothing, ok they aren't as powerful but still come on nigger this is bullshit that will be force fed in DLC
>absolutely no unlockables except for devil buster and shin sparda, alright I guess
overall it fel like they had a small budget that they used up to make the animations while the rest of the game is uninteresting as hell visual wise
>bitchslaps his uncle
Boy needs some manners
>post yfw "that bitch slap almost killed me"
>My son just bitchslapped my brother.
>Brother says almost killed him.
>This is till about who is the strongest.
>Son just showed heĀ“s stronger than my brother.
>mfw beating the shit out of my son means im stronger than both by logic.
Yeah he does, but also forgot to mention, DMC5 has something called Void Mode, where it dumps you into an empty room with an enemy of your choice with infinite HP so you can practice your heart out there
Third? What the hell are you talking abou OH! Dammit Vergil
But Vergil is Urizen!
>can't swap devil hands, must forcibly break them
is this the "zombies dont die when i shoot them in the head" of DMC?
Imagine if Holy Water was a weapon that never ran out, thats what youre asking for
So when Sparda returns, what do you think he will say/think of the gang? I got a feeling he would love Nero
I really like Dantes characterization as a dazed dumb cunt in this game, he barely knows what the fuck is going on and it's hilarious
>Zombies don't die when I shoot them in the head
Explain?
You have the attention span of a 5yo if u really think that
>*Vergil's hair
ftfy
he's better looking than Bui, so all is well
I think the only other bossfight that the scenario changes is King Cerberu's fight.
Vergil should raise another tower, but this time, to compete with Dante in the Devil Hunting Business
So when Bloody Palace releases, how will Dante/V realistically fight Gilgamesh? sure you can down it from time to time, but it will take much longer than with just Nero
he has no fucking arguments and is retarded, there's the explanation, I'm not even going to give him a pity (You)
Lady raised my tower of Temenigru if you know what I'm saying
probably be pissed that rebellion was broken
Anyone?
No, he wasn't. He ate storm swords like a champ. He apologized on camera.
"Nero, you are the son I always wanted"
"Vergil, I am confiscating your sword. End of Discussion."
"Dante, go and clean your office! And dress up properly. Take notes from your brother."
*Gentlemanly kisses Trish's hand*
Part of him, but the will is not the same. It's pretty much the same as a split personality disorder. You get the person help. Urizen had his own will and ideas about what he should be doing and those idea went against what Vergil wanted even when he was a whole being. Demonic power, without control and morals, made a true monster.
wait for them to attack, attack when they attack, 1 shot with pistol
Lady and Trish at least have more prescence in 5's plot than they did in DMC4. Although that isn't a very high bar.
Royalguard my dude
>twins
>different face models
Why? Cowie was too expensive or what?
Nobody said it isnĀ“t sexy news.
The fucking battle music is barely used. Half the time it's overridden by ambient shit whenever you're inside the Qliphoth.
>urizen is literally just demon vergil
>V is literally just human vergil
>chicken pantha and GET YE GONE are literally just nelo angelo remnants
this is not fucking silent hill, there's no ultra deep shit
Devil Breakers being breakable is a good mechanic as it encourages you to do a few things but the ones most notable to me is to have an extra incentive not to get hit so they can keep their devil breaker, this is leads to players more naturally learning enemy tells and timing, it also allows their charge moves to extremely strong as a sort of mini DT for extra damage in a pinch. Consumable items in games like this aren't new but by being fragile DBs can be strong at extremely specific times without feeling over powered.
>can't swap devil hands, must forcibly break them
The whole idea behind breakers is that they're expendable. If you could swap them freely then there's no reason ever spend them on anything but their breakage.
With such realistic models it would have looked ridiculous
Should he get a Devil Arm or should some busters get additional attacks (like directional or DT boosts) for breakers?
Ragtime works fine as it is since it's a neat utility weapon and while tomboy changes your basic moves completely and rawhide boosts your snatch and can even create some interesting moves. Those feel like the gold standard.
But then something like Helter Sketer could do with additional attacks given to it since it's pretty mediocre. Maybe even the same thing with overture since you only really have damage output as a plus for it
This
Tell off Dante and Vergil and make them look like chumps.
Nero would get the father he always wanted, the piccolo to his gohan, and Dante and Vergil would do everything to try to win their fathers respect back
Kyrie would make Sparda proud
Trish would get massively hit on
All the ladies try to fight for Spardaa affection but Kyrie impresses Sparda the most for her sheer kindness and motivation alone.
Nero starts dressing classy like Sparda.
I can excuse Lady&Trish with having actually fought, captured, and reigned in as minions probably zapped their strength a bit. They also proven themselves to be not so useful.
Urizen is more power. Dosent remember anything really according to just before he ears the fruit.
V however remembers Eva, Dante, and seems to have full recollection of Vergil. For all intensive purposes he IS vergil, just without a huge lust for power (still there according to when he impale a urizen).
They're twins
He'd probably be embrassed about his autistic and boomer sons. Would be more proud of vergil due to him having a son
>The whole idea behind breakers is that they're expendable.
NO THEY BE WORK OF ART WATCH DA MERCHANDIZE FGT
Reminder the only people complaining about devil breakers being broken are shitters
Will likely pity/dislike his sons for being emotionally stunted, traumatized manchildren. Will likely favor Nero for being a gentleman and having a good heart, but always scolds him for his cursing and cynical attitude
What happens to people when they die in DMC? If the demon world is supposed to be hell, why hasn't Mundus Arkham or Sparda just came back? Wouldn't Vergil have repeatly kept running into Mundus in hell if that had been the case?
>who the fuck burned my house
>who the fuck broke my sword
>who the fuck is this, this isn't my wife
>what the fuck kind of office do you have son, holy fucking shit clean up already goddamn
>what the fuck are you doing making demonic towers fucking hell
>who the fuck is credo nigger
>who the fuck broke my other sword
>god damn it what happened to my statues
>"Vergil, I am confiscating your sword. End of Discussion."
Kek, Vergil would have the saddest face due to this.
Yes indeed, and twins don't always look exactly the same
So...why did Vergil wanted more power in the first place? he doesn't seem to want to rule over humans or anything really, what is his motive
Wait, what?
I think v is pretty fun once you get the hang of it, also once everything's unlocked you get to do some crazy shit. Though I'll always prefer to play as nero
>just fighting in the qliphoth
>for the first time since the last city mission as nero I hear devil trigger blasting out
>suddenly goes away after I get a blue orb
>never hear that song again while doing that level or the same thing with other qliphoth levels
I hope that is a bug that gets fixed instead of intentional design
>started Dante Must Die and can't even get to Urizen in prologue
DT queen bugs are fucking cancer holy shit
It's not an Afterlife, it is another dimension inhabited by monsters bending physics.
Oh they totally have way more screentime but they don't do anything. At least in 4 Trish has her shenanigans as Gloria and her and Lady both help evacuate the civvies outta Fortuna. It's a minor thing and I'm sure we'll see them in action in some DLC down the line but it still kinda bugged me.
beat dante
I guess it depends on how strong willed a demon is, think for example Sparda sealed down Mundus and weakened him so much that it took him 2000 years to get back, i even recall something for DMC3 (not sure if Itsuno mention or a novel) that mentioned that if Vergil was in top shape, he coulda easily take down Mundus
What happened to Sparda again? I can't remember if he died or what
>MY WEEB POWERS, NOOOO.
So is there any way to kill a demon permanently then? If they came from Hell and killing them just sends them back then they can come back forever right?
>tfw I didn't kill enough during the credits so I didn't get these lines
I'm so bad with Dante damnit
>who the fuck is credo nigger
kek
Qlipoth, Temen-ni-gru his penis
