User, why do you prefer Gamecube controls over the Wii remote version for this game?
I've never tried the Wii version, but wasn't the original made with the lock on in mind?
Because motion controls aren't relaxing.
The biggest reason to prefer the GC versions is the missing effects from the ports.
Other than that the ports are the best way to play.
The GC versions also allow you to fire missiles in quick succession by pressing A after Y, which is a major combat nerf in the trilogy as you cannot do this there
I don't like having to move my wrist so much while playing
Combats not even difficult in these games
they ported these games on wii? i didnt even know
JPN only if you want standalone.
Metroid Prime Trilogy otherwise.
Because gamecube has the best controller
i knew about the trilogy but didnt know they updated the controls
nice from them prime 2 with prime3 controls would be a legit 10/10 game
I'm used to it and it's more comfortable than pointing a Wii remote.
Motion controls require much more effort to use aswell.
Having to constantly point at the sensor bar gets tiring.
Gyro is the patrician motion aiming choice.
They're both terrible. Metroid Prime 4 needs Doom or COD controls.
I prefer the GC version mostly because the controller feels damn good.
But, there are some minor ''features'' missing in the Wii versions that I miss.
Such as rapid fire missiles, scan dashing and bunnyhopping. The latter might still be possible to some extent, but without holding R to prevent speed decrease, it's not nearly as effective.
From a purely objective gameplay perspective, I think the Wii versions might just be superior. Although one could argue that the free aiming trivialize certain enemies.
>Metroid Prime 4 needs Doom or COD controls.
Are you talking about basic dual-stick FPS controls, or do you seriously want MP4 to have stop-n-pop ironsight garbage?
I prefer keyboard and mouse controls on dolphin emulator
link to patch pls
That terrible morph ball boss maze is bearable in the prime trilogy. that alone is a massive improvement
I loved the Wii aiming controls desu.
I'm guessing for 4 they'll do regular 2-stick+motion controls, but they might add a gyro pointer mode too.
Because I can combat dash, ghetto jump and rapidfire missiles.
*scan dash
>but they might add a gyro pointer mode too.
I really hope they do this, but offer more customization for aiming sensitivity and camera control.
The best case scenario, at least for me, would be having a regular two-stick set-up and ADDING gyro aiming. That way, you can use the gyro for precision aiming and just regular stick when panning the camera.
Because the trilogy disc isn't all that easy to come by, anyway.
is keyboard and mouse the best way to play? Because I haven't tried it, but it sounds awesome
Wiimote. Shooting, grapple mechanics etc fet very natural and much more entertaining than GC controller.
Wii U virtual console for cheap, or emulation
Is the WiiU store still open, anyway?
hack your wii nigger
I prefer the motion, lock on is a great mechanic for the series but I want to be able to look around my surroundings and pick off any pests.
I think so. Prime Trilogy's like 20 bucks on there
No patch you just need to map the Wii cursor to your mouse and stuff
Where does one obtain Prime Trilogy iso these days?
How fucking fat are you that you consider moving your wrist effort?
That doesn't work all that well, though.
In paradise, friend.
>Moving a light remote in a few inch radius makes my arms tired
Damn.
Yes, a paradise of emulation... an "emu-paradise" if you will.
I think I'm picking up what you're throwing down...
If you don't switch the lock-on aiming option, some of the small enemies are horrific to aim at, like all the wasps during the Hive Mecha fight of Prime 1.
