Alright, the Switch has been out for two years and I cannot stand how Nintendo refuses to add features that are necessities in 2019. We need to unite together as fans and send a message: It’s time for change. It’s time to stand up and make Nintendo change for the better.
Here’s the plan: On March 10th (Mario Day) at 11 AM PT, you are to head to any of Nintendo’s social media accounts. Use the hashtag #FixTheSwitch and mention any of the following: *Install dedicated servers for Switch Online. The peer-to-peer system currently in place is nothing short of horrible. *Add dedicated voice chat in first party titles, don’t force us to use that garbage app! Games like Fortnite clearly proved the Switch can handle it. *Revise the Nintendo eShop. Their current store is horrendously bad with how it is layout wise and how it is difficult to discover quality games. *Release Classic Games as standalone Titles on the eShop, independent of the Online service. *Add more systems besides the NES. (SNES, N64, GameCube) *Lower the price of Wii U ports down from $60. Same goes for other overpriced ports. *Stop releasing unfinished games at full price (I.E. Kirby Star Allies) *Add features that have been missing from the OS, including messaging, folders and themes
You are to do this on all of Nintendo’s social media accounts. Their Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc. We also need to get any major Nintendo youtubers, communities, etc. on our side.
Our goal is to A) get the hashtag and movement trending, B) get the mainstream gaming press to report on this, which will eventually lead to C) Nintendo recognizing our demands and meeting them accordingly. We cannot stand going on any longer without Nintendo glossing over these features that are unacceptable to not have on their system. Our time to strike is now and strike we will.
