what the fuck are they doing
What the fuck are they doing
Making games
working on dragon's dogma 2
good
making some pretty good games
making really good fucking games, atleast the last 2 major titles have been great
Being based
saving fighting games
That's why they made Marvel vs Capcom infinite?
making good fucking games.
winning, son
CAPCOM ALWAYS WINS BAYBAY
ruining vidya
The old CEO stepped down and his son took over. His son grew up in the golden age of capcom and his strategy is to make quality games are given a good amount of development time and that will get high review scores, as well as not outsourcing to random shitter western devs. He also future-proofed the companies profits by having them make a new engine that they own which is almost as well optimized as MT frameworks was while looking good.
Saving video games
they're winning
triggering nintendies
OP is obviously talking about the DMC5 drm-free exe they released by accident
capcom usa was behind that
jp cant do no wrong anymore
Holy shit really, how big is the performance boost?
atoning
successfully i might add
Holy shit the absolute state of denuvo defenders.
Somehow being one of the top developers of the recent years
ok user, we get it, you want a (you). so, there you go.
they are weirdly absent all of a sudden
Give me more Battle Network you fucking cowards
>charging over the odds for RE ports
>constantly "testing the waters", despite the games selling well each time
It's not surprising to be pissed off with Capcom if you only own a Switch. I'm firmly in the middle, i love them for RE2 and DMC V, but loathe them for whatever it is they're trying to achieve with the Switch.
>REmake 2
>DMC5
I don't know what's happened at Capcom but I seriously hope they keep doing what they're doing right now.
I'm fucking PRAYING they get their fighting game shit together but I won't hold by breath on that front.
>charging over the odds for ports
Not if you have a normal platform. These were cheap as fuck, even new.
The good amount of development time part isn't always true. RE2 remake, while a fantastic game, clearly feels rushed.
>clearly feels rushed
No it doesn't? Im gonna need you to point out where. They took 3 solid fucking years of game development time.
This.
You can consolewar all you like, but there's no fucking excuse for it.
How are Rev and Rev2? I'm on a RE kick right now and I've still not picked them up.
Lack of B scenarios, 90% of the puzzles being the same in both campaigns. Small laboratory, cut enemies etc
I didn't say there was, but there is also no excuse for not just buying it on proper hardware.
>cut enemies
You mean spiders which were never a threat and that ONE ROOM that had crows in them?
hopefully making SFVI during this current uptick in quality so we actually get a good grounded neutral heavy fighter with a decent sized playerbase for the first time in years.
Both fun for spin offs. Dont let Yea Forums fool you, ReV2 is far superior to ReV1.
Don't kid yourself, their removal wasn't a design choice, it was a lack of time/budget.
A remake is supposed to fix the weaker aspects of the original but removing them completely is the lazy way to go around it.
You must mean fucking up Juri's moveset and ruining her theme song.
Also making MHW, the Skyrim of Monster Hunter.
Or you could just admit it's a shit practice instead of being the consolewarring cock juggler you are.
rising from the ashes
Capcom is back. Next up is fixing the fighting game division.
Not while the FGC has been eaten by esports.
Better than the trash Capcom produces today. ReV 1 is meh though.
Being a shit company, making shit games. Nothing out of the ordinary.
waking up
like seriously, they already have a shit ton of great IPs, literally all they need to do is remember they exist
If they did I wonder where they would go with it. Pick it up with Lan again? Go with his son? Just reboot it?
what does that even mean?
FGC has been taken over by shills and sponsors
and this effects the quality of games how? I'm aware the fgc seems a bit griftier than it did a decade ago.
kicking ass
taking names
making games
Winning.
You're kidding right?
It sets the bar of entry low as shit. As evidenced by SFV.
Kenzo Tsujimoto never stepped down, his son is the COO
you sound really stupid. making certain aspects of execution easier doesn't have to mean lower skill ceiling if you do it right.
Not defending Capcom but isn't everything more expensive on the Switch?
What the fuck even happened though?
Like RE7 came out, people liked it and now here we are with Capcom actually making good games again.
going for the big boys while ignoring the schitch: nintendolife.com
>,In a recent interview with German magazine M!, Itsuno said the latest game in the Devil May Cry series would be considered for the Switch if Capcom's April release Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen "sells well" on the platform. Below is the translation:
>"If Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen sells well on Switch, then we might consider porting DMC 5."
They're beginning to believe.
Denuvo only wants to protect your GPU from overheating
They initially said they weren't even going to do B scenario's. You can say that you think the game was rushed but the reality is that it wasn't and they were given a lot of development time.
Friendly reminder to be on guard for crapcom shills, they have been infesting Yea Forums like rodents
You don't even deserve a (you).
Capcom's situation has always been frequently discussed. We just went from sheeps complaining about MML3 and such to people rejoicing about their favourite IPs coming back.
Being the single best videogame company.
Except they didn't do it right. The amount of hitstun and canceling only works for the cookie cutter combos programmed into each character. SFV has no room for players to create their own combos.
Redeeming themselves after half a decade of dumb choices.
They better fucking announce the rest of the SFV roster for the season at the end of Final Round next week
Better question:
What the FUCK are they doing???
Pachinko
I have been asking that since MVC3
konami.com
They don't even have a picture for SOTN, and there first 2 versions of Castlevania on their HOMEPAGE for the fucking game.
winning
money.
Is there an example of a fighting game successfully streamlining their game while also maintaining the high end ceiling?
While technically possible it never actually happens because its always driven by a dire change in design philosophy
why would you EVER make your own combos when you have clear cut BNB?
its such a fucking brainlet complaint from fucktards that dont play fighting games.
>Big company that has been around for almost 40 years releases a string of widely enjoyed video games
>People discuss this in a positive light, in contrast to all the live-service bullshit like Anthem and Division 2 coming up
>FUCKING SHILLS THEY MUST BE PAYING PEOPLE TO PAINT THEM IN A POSITIVE LIGHT
Do you want another smash brothers roster thread? Jesus christ be thankful we have any good games to talk about this year so far. You can't be this retarded to believe a company that released a game that well reviewed and is selling well needs to spend money to promote their game and hype it up for being more than it is. While that part is almost believable, the part that sounds completely retarded is they decided that funding should go to promoting it here of all places.
For what? The 100 people over the course of however much money spent that wouldn't get it normally? Even if you assume there's an ongoing conspiracy to promote these capcom games, it would never make sense to do it here, when we have platforms like Twitch where you can pay some random to play a game for hundreds of thousands of people exposed every day.
All the Final Fantasy titles that Square Enix are concurrently releasing on Xbone and Switch are the exact same price. Also, Final Fantasy IX just released digitally on the two consoles and is the same price as the PS4 version.
