Was it actually better than Morrowind?
Was it actually better than Morrowind?
Both are shit.
>TFW its terrible but I enjoy it
Rebuilding the blades lads
Solidifying imperial power in the region
Once modded, I actually enjoyed Skyrim more.
Vanilla Morrowind is definitely superior. 'Augmented' Morrowing falls just short of modded Skyrim.
Depends.
Morrowind gets better after the first few hours. Skyrim is always the same. Plus skyrim has the neutered enchanting and no spell making.
I'm playing Morrowind for the first time on Xbone and jesus christ, how do you kill shit. I'm running from fucking worms because none of my hits land.
Even mudcrabs take too much effort.
not even close.
if you are out of stamina your accuracy is lower. If you have low agility your accuracy is lower. If you have low weapon skill (below 40) your accuracy is low.
yeah but it's not saying much and it's worse in some aspects like writing and worldbuilding
Yes because they give you mini morrowind as a dlc.
>running
theres your problem
your chance to hit is affected by stamina (fatigue)
full green bar = high chance to hit
morrowinds combat is based on dicerolls and shit, but its disguised as real time action
Explains a lot, thanks for the tips
In some ways, yes. The TES series is one step forward, two steps back: the game.
>AI, animations, etc are better
>story is a fucking mess, RPG elements are trash, guild quests don't have skill checks so you can climb to the highest rank without having any relevant skills.
For some reason they show some interesting and promising changes in the expacs (Shivering Isles and Dragonborn) then they fuck up again in the next entry to the series
skyrim also had the worst spell system in the series and morrowind has either the best or 2nd best.
>For some reason they show some interesting and promising changes in the expacs
Also Far Harbor. Granted it was still shit but it leagues better than the main story. Why dyou think this is? I heard some rumor that its in the DLCs where its another creative lead designing it or something
hating Skyrim is a dumb meme. it's true it was casualized a little, got stupid puzzles and some flaws in it's combat system, but overall it's a legit fun game. it doesn't deserve the shit it's getting. and no I'm not Todd.
>and no I'm not Todd
obligatory.
It's a good game overall. Even better with reasonable mods that fix up the gameplay and add lore-friendly characters and stories.
Morrowind has better lore and stories, but its gameplay is just horrible.
yeah it's only worse in all the aspects that an rpg should be strong in but it's still comfy!
I seem to recall that when it first came out the consensus here was that it was better than Oblivion but not as good as Morrowind.
Just think of it as a medieval world exploration simulation rather than a traditional RPG and it becomes fun.
TES VI could be a direct upgrade from Oblivion and Skyrim and have better lore than Morrowind, and the Morrowind boomers would still throw a tantrum and say it's not as good as Morrowind.
Disregard their obnoxious opinions and let them circlejerk each other in their dark niche corner.
I wasn't being completely sarcastic I did have fun with the game and I still come back for the mods. It doesn't hold up as a fantasy world exploration game since all of the locations are super bland even with mods, doesn't hold up as medieval either because im a muh accuracy fag.
Vanilla : MW is superior
Modded : Skyrim is superior
From your 2nd and on playthrough Morrowind can be broken to easy easy mode in less than 10 mins and I'm not even talkin about glitches and exploits (which are lots), just that you know where the good stuff is hidden. Wish it wasn't so easy...
