Will Silksong top Hollow Knight, or will it ruin it?

Attached: 1550586107738.gif (160x185, 40K)

Neither, it will be alright

Fuck off op
This game is bad and dead

What were those Aussie cunts thinking??

Attached: IMG_20190309_105558.jpg (336x264, 14K)

I have a feeling silksong can top hollow knight in terms of enjoyability. HK will still probably be better in terms of story and atmosphere, but I was sold immediately on SS' acrobatic maneuvers. I can't wait for the boss fights using Hornet's needle and thread moves.

I'm just afraid they will go full CURAZY and ruin it,
Potentially catering to a more casual public

HK strength is simple controls and few movements and one weapon + spells.
That's how it feels so thight and people can do such impressive feats like PoH and Path of Pain

>Metamorphosis

They are scholars who know vore is the patrician fetish

>practice PV for an hour and a half
>beat him four times in a row by the end
>believe I'm ready to go through the pantheon again
>beat soul tyrant for the 15th time without even thinking about it
>suddenly heart in throat
>pause to breathe
>after five minutes of failed meditation my chest hasn't stopped shuddering
>fuck it, walk in
>get hit by literally every single attack, walk back into them to get hit twice, lose the fight faster than I did on my first blind encounter

I wish I had drugs so my retarded organs would fucking stop ruining everything

From the scrub diary:

Dear Diary,
today I defeated Defensor de Estercol, he was a lot of fun.
I shed a tear for Isma,
then I went down into the Ancient Basin and found the Broken Vessel.

He was not happy to see me, and I fought him until second phase but then he kicked me out.

I came back with a soul/spell oriented build and eventually made him reason.
He left behind a pair of wings.
Fun game.

Attached: 1551328217125.gif (620x465, 1.26M)

Did you dream nail his corpse?

>Did you dream nail his corpse?
Not yet
People have told me Lost Kin is night and day to Broken Vessel

>Potentially catering to a more casual public
I doubt it, the creators usually made the game harder with each patch.

It's the same fight but there's RNG adds that spawn on top of you and the lsot kin will predict where you jump and go there too while you're on mid-air because fuck you.
I used the spores charm, takes care of the little adds when I heal and stays on the battleground for a while. Without the adds the lsot Kin is pretty straightforward.

Isn't Lifeblood a completely Crutch DLC?

EVERY TIME

>bitch about boss on Yea Forums

They rebalanced some charms to use more notches, fixed some unintentional skips, made HK boss fight harder, made Flukemarm not cheese-able with desolate dive, etc.
I'd say they made it harder actually, read up on all the fixes here hollowknight.fandom.com/wiki/Lifeblood

Just use defenders crest. Makes the fight a cake walk

yeah this happened to me once too

I'm replaying the game and I noticed something weird on Crystal Peak.
After getting the crystal heart a lot of the rooms seemed to lose a bit of the pink saturation, becoming more bluish.
Dunno if it was just me but I have no way to really confirm it other than wait to take screenshots on my next run.
Just in case, did anyone notice something similar?

It will be worse than HK but not to the point of ruining it.

Check some YouTube speedrun

Fine. I'll deliver flowers tomorrow.

>fetch quests
If the items can be collected before you pick up the quest it's somewhat fine (similar to Lemm's relics). If you have to backtrack to already explored locations because the items magically spawned there out of thin air (like Grimm's flames), it's fucking shit that can potentially ruin the game by itself.

Can I still get the first ending if I get king brand and get shadow dash and shadow shriek Right?

All I have to do is avoid voidheart no?

Yes

If I banished the Grimm Troupe, can I get them back again? I didn't get the unbreakable charms

FUCK money in this game

>a fat bug will never shittalk you in butchered old english while you fuck her eyeholes with your void tentacles
Why even live?

You can't. Don't worry about unbreakable charms too much, fragile ones don't break in Godhome.

Doesn't look like it to me. I put one above another in Photoshop and they seemed about the same, only difference being the glow around the knight and particle effects.

Attached: 00.jpg (1920x2160, 533K)

Paler than you, Cunt

You can easily farm like 24k/ hour in City of Tears in the area under Watcher's Spire with Fragile/Unbreakable greed.

A game that requires you to FARM has a broken money system

>requires
You can get true ending without spending money once. Everything except unbreakable charms is cheap by midgame, and unbreakable charms are pointless luxury.

>Pointless
If only the bug was not so far from you

You can also grind in Colosseum of Fools, but money is meaningless later on.
I never had to grind, even for unbreakable charms, but you might want to if you want them early in the game. You actually don't even need unbkreakable charms in Godhome as it's technicalyl dream fights and dream world deaths don't use up charms.

>Godhome Godhome

Not everyone plays this game to be miserable for hours and days rushing bosses.

>"Akala entono."
Who's your favorite bug?

Attached: ThisIsElderbugSaySomethingNIce.jpg (184x232, 10K)

You are not supposed to run with Unbreakable Heart/Strength all the time, that would be overpowered. Unbreakable Heart is strictly better than Lifeblood Heart, and Strength is strictly better Fury of the Fallen. They are your crutches for dream bosses, where they don't break.

>that would be overpowered
How about I play the game how I like instead of imposing myself your artificial rules?

>your artificial rules?
Those aren't MY rules, those are the rules of the game. If you are a scrub that wants crutches - go farm geo like the little whiny bitch you are, the game lets you. Or just use cheats to give yourself more health/damage. Or watch gameplay on youtube.

Bros, I just killed a sleeping lady(?) at the top of spider hell
Did I miss a boss fight or am I a murder hobo now

You just posted him.
Quirrel and Cornifer are close seconds, but I really like all of the NPCs in this game.

YORE HEGAALE

You were the baddie from the start

You probably did miss the optional boss of Deepnest, but the dreamer herself is supposed to be helpless.

Even better, you don't have to worry about unbreakable charms at all in that case.

>mfw most people miss this in Deepest
I shat bricks

Attached: .jpg (640x360, 23K)

>they are crutches
no, they are viable builds, stop trying to be elitist and let people play how they want. It's all fair game until someone uses trainers to outright cheat.

Wew lads, imagine starting the game with three masks. that'd be even more of a casual filter than Hornet is.

Is that cut content?

>and let people play how they want
I'm not the one preventing you from using unbreakable charms, the game does that. The charms are made fragile for a reason, and that reason is them being overpowered otherwise. Do you think you should get double damage and 2 extra masks without drawbacks for finding a merchant in the game's third area that's not even hidden? The devs clearly don't.

HOW CAN HOLLOW KNIGHT BE SUCH AN ADORABLE GAME
I CAN'T HANDLE IT
IT'S TOO FUCKING CUTE

So, what's the beef between Mato and Oro? IAny theories?

t. Still in greenpath

Shit will get real soon

I meant in other rooms of the area, but I think it was probably just me. Just asking because it wouldn't be the first time HK has had palette bugs.
Will have to check it another time.

Attached: fungalwastes3.gif (1680x1050, 2.23M)

I've finished the game before
Even when I got the non-godhome "true" ending the game was still adorable

holy shit

It's high risk vs high reward kind of thing. You have to backtrack to get them fixed but the benefits give a pretty good advantage. Early game when people are still sheepish and often don't explore enough the mask and nail upgrades can be easily missed so this makes up for it. Late in the game you start getting access to a lot more charms and other upgrades so I can see people swapping them out for something else, more useful.
Side note, I think Fragile/Unbreakable strenght is +50% damage, not double.

>crutches
holy shit kys

oy guys nail upgrades is a crutch

>get to the bench on the third boss rush mode
>get killed by fucking Zote
>have to start all over again
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT? What's the fucking bench for then?

Glass soul, old nail only and no map is only acceptable way to play on your first playthrough.

>What's the fucking bench for then?
Charm swapping.

What the fuck am I gonna be minmaxing for if there's like 5 completely different bosses in a row?

They're not a free crutch though, you have to work hard for them, especially the last one.

>What the fuck am I gonna be minmaxing for if there's like 5 completely different bosses in a row?
For that one of the five that actually gives you trouble.

You have to pay for fragile charms too.
You might not need same things for the next set of bosses as you did for the previous. You may neet to swap to a charm that helps you with a certain boss in the next set.

Heh, nothing personnel, spiderbros

Deepnest is the best level in the game. God tier aesthetics and sound design, platforming is fairly easy and none of the enemies are particularly obnoxious. The traps and ambushes are a lot easier and more forgiving than they look giving you a sense of accomplishment without requiring multiple tries.

That's what happened to me. I had the lamp too but god damn if it wasn't terrifying.

The Knight is cute. That's why

>Female protagonist

What did you think was going to happen?

It'll be the RE2/DMC3/MVC2 of Hollow Knight. I see it as being the defining HK experience that might make fans of HK1 seem like hipsters for preferring it over Silksong.

No trouble with M+KB on my end, but I haven't tackled Pantheon of Hallownest or any bindings for Pantheon of the Knight yet.

That flower seems to be a ward against void, and without the radiance kicking around he's in a relatively safe state.

The bench also refills your hp.

>The bench also refills your hp
So does the hotspring.

I suppose the bench is a bit redundant then.

Not really, benches are the only way to change your charms, as has already been stated.

>Bindings
Do them all for the previous pantheons first, if youre autistic enough. The lifeblood makes pure vessel a fucking joke in PoH

Mad respect to those who do all-binding pantheon runs. It took me 40 minutes to do the charm binding alone for the fourth pantheon, no fucking way am I doing them all at the same time
This is hollow knight. You can get to godseeker extremely early. The hotspring is for those who dont have the blessing to fill up their soul

I think so, yeah.

how do I leave this beast den now
wtf

If I hated ori and the blind forest should I still give Hollow Knight a chance?

Explore until you find the exit.

Just got to deep nest and feel down a hole unto a bench

wat do

Ori and HK have almost nothing in common.

it worked thanks

Depends why you hated Ori.
If you hated it because it's a visual clusterfuck full of unnecessary graphical effects that cloud the screen, and 2.5D out the ass so the hitboxes of things aren't clear, then Hollow Knight completely averts that.
If it's because of bad combat, then Hollow Knight averts that mostly.
If it's because of difficulty in platforming or exploration, then you'll hate HK just the same.

Yes. Ori is bad and Hollow Knight is good.

What bench, the one by the spring?

Sit there, maybe soak your feet in the hot spring to restore some soul.
Keep exploring.
You probably don't have Tramp Ass yet, so try exploring upwards.
Of course you can explore where-ever the fuck you feel like since that's what this game is about.

So, does anybody have any explanation at all for this or what?

The void must have a second exit somewhere.
No idea where.
Must be really secret too since you can't find it in game.

>hated ori
Just neck yourself. Fucking do it

You climb up the Abyss, not the Basin, and fall back down in the cutscene. The Abyss has multiple connections to other places: Nosk's lair has a surfaced black egg with vessels, and it also connects to the surface at Kingdom's Edge. So you just climbed one of the tunnels that evidently connected the Abyss to somewhere near the Howling Cliffs.

You find broken vessel a bit away from the abyss and void statues, void tendrils, several dead vessels and an abyss-like atmosphere in deepnest where you get sharpshadow. There is an alternate way out, perhaps several. We just arent allowed to see them

I want to save Ghost in Silksong, but I know Team Cherry won't give Hornet and HK their little brother back.

Thought it was a bug first time I saw it. Creeped the fuck out of me the 2nd time

Would it had been too much trouble to make a connection between Deepness and the cliffs so it all made sense?

I'll admit that Fragile Strength is quite good.
Fragile Heart though, usually I prefer Quick Focus to that.
And as for other charm builds, where ma Spell Twister Shaman Stone at? You want OP, try that stuff on for size.

Pretty sure it's gonna be a prequel anyway.

Dont you have anything better to do, prequelshitter? TC confirmed that silksong will be a sequel everywhere. If you want to be autistic, go do all binding runs instead

TOUHOU HIJACK LOL

Dude, I just made a single post about it, holy shit, relax. That being said, A Link to the Past was also a sequel... Hornet being away from the kingdom till very recently makes a lot of sense.

>tfw watching videos of early development
Man, I wish they had kept the clear background details for at least a few areas instead of the max-blur foggy thing we got in the end.

Attached: 254y735765987899.png (837x467, 642K)

How many of you are getting Silksong free because you backed the original?

Pretty sure she does, or more precisely, it's the dreamer's fault since they were the ones that locked Hallownest in time or whatever.

you can regulate the blur

Stop making things up.
The ghots are just lingering essence from dead bugs' dreams, they exist outside dreamers or moths interference.

Assuming we get to play some sort of section of Hallownest for Silksong, where would you like to mess around with the Hornet moveset/thematically/whatever?

Attached: mothagain.jpg (1024x1497, 136K)

>it's the dreamer's fault since they were the ones that locked Hallownest in time or whatever
You didn't get what the Dreamers purpose was.

But they're trapped there because of the moth and the dreamers, that's why you can use the dream nail to liberate them.

I'm going to say the N word.

>But they're trapped there because of the moth and the dreamers
They're not.

user they're just fucking ghosts

Attached: Daisuke_Amaya_crop.jpg (324x388, 25K)

>the vessel fragment in deepnest

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 8K)

Pretty sure the blur settings doesn't make the background that clear.
Plus I'm just talking about how they didn't draw that sort of backgrounds for the final product (there's literally a background platform in that screenshot, all detailed with items and shit).

They sealed the Holow Knight that had sealed the moth inside of it and by doing so they turned Hallownest into a forever unchanging realm?

It will improve nearly all aspects, but it will be slightly shorter.

>they turned Hallownest into a forever unchanging realm?
No. They just sealed the Black Egg, outside of that it didn't affect Hallownest nor it "froze it" in time or whatever. Things continued their natural course with the kingdom falling into ruin.
There's literally nothing in the game that even implies ghosts are tied to the events of the plague.

>pantheon of hollownest
>all bindings run
>500th attempt
>barely get past PV
>absolute_bullshit.boss
>get through the first couple phases alright
>start choking at the platforming section
>one mask left during the last couple hits
>get cornered by two magic balls
>eat shit
>bust my fucking keyboard over my head
Anybody else have a feel like this?

Can someone sell me on this game? I played it briefly but stopped because I didn't have a controller and had to use my keyboard which sucked. I didn't really like it but I think it was the keyboard. Is a controller pretty essential?

Everyone loves it and I want a game to love too : (

Should I bother with Godmaster? I've done everything else by this point but I don't really care for boss rush shit.

gi

It's a platforming adventure game, and it can get pretty hard at times, so yes, it's better if you use a controller.

It's a great metroidvania with not so great but tolerable map system and interesting lore

What about all the literal zombie bugs and the ones that became crazy?

Well I suppose if you don't enjoy it then you don't have to do it, but the boss rush stuff is pretty cool imo.
What is it you enjoyed about the rest of HK that a bossrush wouldn't help?

Keyboard is fine. I prefer keyboard to controller and I have both, because it's much faster and much easier to piano the keys on a keyboard for a precise section than it is to piano the buttons on a controller.

I think it's worth it for the new content, as in the new bosses in the rush.

trying to plan out my under5 hour run, help me out fellas

>mandatory bosses:
Hornet 1
Uumuu
Watcher Knights
Hollow Knight obviously

>Skippable
False Knight, or at least killing him (deepnest tram skip into CoT)
Mantis Lords (Deepnest collapsing floor)

>Choose
Soul Master OR Gruzmother (Descending Dive or Sly’s 1800 lantern for crystal peak->resting grounds)
Dung Defender OR Hornet 2 (isma’s tear or shade cloak for fog canyon)(also need crystal dash to reach ismas grove)

any other ideas? i dont think you strictly need the monarch wings to reach the dreamers

The sealing was imperfect due to the fact the Hollow Knight had an idea instilled into him (probably by the King's love/care/raising, as implied by the scene at the end of the PoP), so the infection started to hopelessly leak through the sealing, causing the "zombie" plague and supposedly leading to the fall of the kingdom.
That's literally the central point of the main quest, did you miss every single lore talk in these threads?

I think you need wings for pic related. You can also get to city of tears by crystal dashing over Gruz Mother's room and reaching the blue lake, then rich city section.

Attached: lurien.png (131x328, 29K)

I only beat the game a while ago. But anyway, pretty sure the zombie plague and the ghosts all come from the same source.

I;m getting fucked by Watcher Knights

I even destroyed a chandelier to halve them (is it even true?)

They're separate entities. Again, nothing in the game implies ghosts didn't exist before the plague.
On the other hand we know for a fact that Essence (which heavily related to the ghosts, if not literally what they're made of) was a thing before the plague.

You face 5 instead of 6. Remember you have a dash.

>You face 5
fuck

I die after killing 2 at most

But you only get to see the ghosts after you get the dream nail, which is related to moth powers.

Take the speedrunner's route, but modify it so that you break any geo deposits in the rooms you enter, and you take a detour in lower right xroads to free sly and grab Gathering Swarm.
Keep gathering geo as you go.
False Knight is not skippable. He is the gatekeeper to fireball and that is the gatekeeper to Greenpath.
You have plenty of time if you focus on your objectives.
I got a 4 hour win when I bothered to collect 3 pale ore, 6 soul vessel shards, 12 mask shards, double jump, and acid resist.

I liked his voice.

Attached: Nailsmith-2.png (225x293, 60K)

To get crystal dash you need mantis claw.
If you're getting mantis claw then it's far faster to rush the front door than take the long way around.
Lurien does not need wings, you can pogo off some background geometry, but personally I'd get the wings anyway.
I'll give you my route, which I know to be far from optimal but what can you do.

Yes, so?
The moth tribe were able to wield dream nails before the plague.
Essence is the energy tied to the dream realm, and some bugs when dying leave their lingering dreams in the form of a ghost. For the fourth time or so, nothing in the game implies that this didn't happen before the plague, it's literally something you're making up.
Essence, Soul and Void are all base elements/energy of the universe that other individuals take advantage of.

Reminder that Dream No More is the best ending.

>go back to see oro
>he acts like you being there is a huge bother
>give him delicate flower
>calls it garbage and says he'll just throw it away once you leave
>go back and he's put it in a vase

*sigh* Paapalada

Attached: 1520632218541.jpg (605x1140, 102K)

If you've banished the Grimm troupe and you have no plans to go to Godhome, congratulations you're not fighting any of the difficult bosses.

I also find it easier to use a keyboard if you can bind controls one is comfortable with.
Its more that I'm at like 107% completion and could just finish the game. If I get nothing but more lore and a boss rush, that isn't very enticing.

Attached: hollow knight best girl.jpg (1024x853, 45K)

If you're in the same room as a geo deposit, bust it and loot it. If an enemy is close enough to smack with the nail, smack it.
Fast Fury of the Fallen (break the door, go through, backtrack to Fury of the Fallen, Save and quit to menu)

Here's my Xroads route.
Yellow route first. Sit at the stag station bench.
The mask shard in the lower route is probably the biggest time wasting detour, so if you're comfortable doing the game without any extra masks skip it.
When you save back to menu after Sly, take a detour up to Dirthmouth, buy Gathering Swarm.
Save back to menu and equip it at the Stag station bench.
Orange route up to top grub is, unfortunately, not skippable in my experience as I tend to run out of fucking geo if I don't do it.
Red is your standard fare. I use Fury of the Fallen for false knight but it's not required.

You should enter Greenpath with about 600 geo, Gathering Swarm, Fury of the Fallen, Soul Catcher, and Fireball.

Attached: xroads.png (1049x748, 233K)

Sit at the Snail bench if you want, you'll be keeping that bench for a while.
DO NOT SIT AT ANY NEW BENCHES IN GREENPATH.
You'll notice there's a lot of zig zags here, that's for the geo deposits in the rooms you visit.

^ geo deposit map
I hit one in the bench room, the three in the husk charger/bully room, the two in the room where you pay to open the bench (but don't pay to open the bench).
I also refight the first moss knight by exiting the room and re-entering it, because the arena knight is a different spawn to the patrolling one.
Save zote.
By the end of Greenpath I've killed 5 Mossknights. Those two, the two near the 3x30 geo nodes, and the one guarding the grub.
Grab the wander journal, open Greenpath stag station, but don't sit at the bench.
Go smack Hornet around.
Save back to menu.
You should have about 1150 Geo by this point.

Attached: greenpath 1.png (1800x890, 256K)

Oh god the transparency on these PNGs makes them aids. Will try to fix.
After Hornet, Save and quit to bench at Snail.
Go into Fungal.
Sit at Leg Eater's bench.
Buy Fragile Strength and Fragile Greed.
If you want, overcharm to Greed + Strength, though greed + gathering is safer.
Kick the two shroom ogres' asses and get your charm notch.
Re-enter the room and kick the new ogre's ass as well.
Head over to Queen's station and unlock it, grabbing the Hallownest Seal on the way.
Save and quit back to Leg eater.
Head on down to Mantis village. I can't do Sporg pogo so I don't even try.
There's two geo under the entrance to the Mantis claw room that I like to get, but they are skippable if you want.
What's not skippable are most of the geo in the mantis claw room itself.
On your way back up, grab the grub, open the path to Queen's station, walk into city of tears.

Going through Team Cherry's blogspot is pretty interesting to see how the game evolved over the course of a few of their updates.
I think they scrapped the idea of the "Royal Quarter" and all that's left about that is Emilitia.

Attached: 677658567i95789.png (875x546, 407K)

At Quirrel's bench, save.
Here you'd probably want to switch to Fragile Strength + Gathering Swarm instead of Greed. Mostly because Soul Sanctum is a cunt otherwise.
Grab Nail +1
Sell the 2 Hallow seals and Wander journals to Lem. Should have about 1400 Geo at this point, but if you have lower it's no big deal.
John Fucking Madden your way up the linear back and forth path. Grab the grub as you pass it.
Plow Soul Sanctum, get the chest, get the crest, backtrack for the grub if you miss the dive.
Do not pay for the Cornifer bench.
Unlock the Storeroom stag, sit at the bench there.
Take the lift up.

Attached: city 1.png (1600x1200, 377K)

you can straight up break the wall above the metal gate that normally prevents you leaving boss rooms after his first chimp out attack and still get the fireball

True, but the crest, while not a strict requirement, helps a lot.

Crossroads 2:
Get the mana shard. There's a Geo deposit in the rafters above it, might as well grab that on your way through.
Head on to Salubra.

... Shit, I forgot to tell you to buy Fragile Health from Leg Eater. ... Remember to do that once you save and quit from Queen's station.

Anyway, you should have the following charms:
Fury of the Fallen
Gathering Swarm
Soul Catcher
Fragile Greed
Fragile Strength
Fragile Heart
Soul Twister
And have enough money to buy 3 cheap bullshit charms from Salubra and two of her notches, with about 1850 left over.
Long Nail is slightly worth it if you have the money to grab it but don't worry if you can't, it's not essential.
Save and quit back to the Storeroom bench.
You can (and should) now equip Fragile Strength, Greed, and Gathering Swarm.

Stag to Dirthmouth, buy the lantern from Sly, save and exit.
Stag to Crossroads, head into Crypeak via the dark room.

Attached: crossroads 2.png (1050x750, 235K)

I guess so.

Is there a way to open that stupid closed door on the left side of the elevator?

oh shit soul master isn’t optional after all i still need to dive into the lower half of royal waterways to get to dung defender AHHHHHH

Here's the trap:
Even if you were right and killing Radiance meant destroying the dream realm, Essence would still be able to exist through the nightmare realm thanks to our boy Grimm and his Nightmare Heart.

Attached: e77fd07a78f276d14e8a3fe3175247c2.jpg (280x280, 16K)

This is why I don't use Soul Sanctum bench.
I get TONS of fucking use out of Crypeak bench, more than enough to be worth the effort.
All right. Remember to get Geo if it's in the same room as you.
Go up, free the grub in the middle piston room, kick Crystal Guardian's big fat ass.
Sit at the bench. Swap something for Long Nail if you want a slightly easier time.
Pogo off a background object to get up to the King's statue above Cornifer.
Saving back to the bench from there doesn't save that much time but you might as well.
If you see a lever, hit it.
Go get Crystal Dash, remembering to ground pound the floor by the miners for those two geo deposits, and the wander journal.
Protip: shoot a fireball into the line of laser shooting crystal wall-clinging bug things that I forgot the name of near the wander journal.
Get Crystal Dash. Save to menu.
Go get the Pale ore.
Some protips:
1. You don't need to pogo off the miner's thrown pickaxe. There's a crystal above her that is damn near perfect. Pogo off THAT instead, dash to the left to hit the wall, then walljump off.
2. Skip the grub in the big open room on the way to the ore. Not worth it at all.
3. There's another two geo deposits below a rumbly floor on the way up to the pale ore
4. FOR FUCK'S SAKE WHEN YOU SEE THE CRYSTAL SHOOTING FLYING DUDE BY ITSELF IN THE SHAFT DON'T KILL IT YOU NEED IT TO POGO
Get the pale ore, back to menu
NOW you can get the grub near Crystal dash (and the geo if you forgot it earlier), do the piston room, and head through the dark room to get Ddive.
Ddive is not a necessity and it might be worth skipping. Honestly I don't use it all that much.
Into Burial grounds.

It opens when you unlock the elevator.

Attached: crypeak.png (1450x1000, 336K)

>I think they scrapped the idea of the "Royal Quarter"
Nah, pretty sure that's just the right part of City of Tears. The one where you find infected aristocrats and big purple guards, near the pleasure house.

I wasn't saying the ghosts and essence existed because of the big moth, I just thought the ghosts were trapped because of the whole sealing thing going on in the kingdom, but yeah, I remembered the seer says something along the lines of ghosts being there because of the dream energy of the people that passed away.

Not an insect, but Portia spiders probably.

You don't need dive to get to dung defender.

For any%: In Burial grounds, grab the Dream nail, then just fucking go straight to the stag station.
Sit at the bench there.
Stag to Dirtmouth.
Buy 2 mask shards, Elegant key, 1 soul vessel fragment, and kill Mawlek. You now have 6 masks, 2/3rds of a mana gem, and the elegant key.
Save back to the Burial grounds bench.
Stag to City of Tears.

Does it? I'm pretty sure I've passed through there a million times and it's always closed from both sides.

You have to activate it from below.

>primal aspids

it's worth against (many) bosses

not worth for exploring

When they turn into a spiky ball and charge across the room, if they don't hit you then they end up at the wall.
While you're pogoing on one at the wall, if the other tries to reach you, it'll end up next to the other one.
Basically learn2pogo

City of Tears:
Go down to the bench near Soul Sanctum.
If you don't have 800 geo, head over to Lemm to sell some crap. If you do, then dashing back left and down is faster.
Go get Nail + 2.
Save and Quit.
Go with Fragile Heart, Fragile Strength, and Gathering Swarm.
Soul Sanctum.
Kick the ass of the warrior that guards upgraded fireball.
Kick Soul Tyrant's ass.
>What
Kick Soul Tyrant's ass.
>THIS IS ANY%
Dreamgate is Op. Kick Soul Tyrant's ass.
Save back to the bench from Soul Tyrant.
Head into the Sewers.

Wait, do you mean the BOTTOM left door, with all the chains, to fungal waste?
Doesn't open. Sorry.

Quick Slash is outright broken and allows you to facetank and outdamage almost every boss in the game. Pretty much never-take-it-off tier.

>When they turn into a spiky ball and charge across the room, if they don't hit you then they end up at the wall.

>Also, does anyone know why Watcher Knight is the poster boss of Hollow Knight? Seems like an odd choice.
it was probably chosen early in game dev

>why Watcher Knight is the poster boss of Hollow Knight?
They tend to spank first-time players the hardest of any base game bosses. You've probably just forgotten how fun the fight is without shadow cloak.

should I get Hollow Knight for PS4 or Switch?

Bitch, I came into the Kingdom by smashing down the fucking front door. After escaping from the Kingdom somehow, but that's besides the point.

Switch so you can play it portably if you want to.

The one with the dpad, probably.

I really should route out exactly how many grubs I'm after.
I -think- you don't even need on the one after isma's tear and it's skippable.
Drop off the King's statue from Crypeak off at Lemm if you haven't already.
In Sewers, sit at the bench.
Go left to grab Dashmaster, Free Bretta, and get the Mask shard. Save.
Go kick Dung Defender's ass. You can steal his King statue if you want but I don't think Lemm ever gets another visit for the entire rest of the run.
Drop into the Doublejump shaft.
You can go to the left across the spikes, if you walljump from the wall to the bottom right of the spikes, Pogo off the spikes, then dash to the left.
You can just go around if you want but it's not that tough.
Go grab acid resist.
I -think- the grub is unimportant and you can skip it if you want.
Head back to the shaft, drop down into Ancient Basin.

Attached: sewers.png (1600x600, 240K)

>Kick Soul Tyrant's ass.

kek

I've beaten nightmare Grimm with the Switch's stick. D-pads are a meme.

>nightmare Grimm
Go do radiant Oblobbles on stick now, champ.

Getting a bit tired to continue.
In Ancient Basin, you grab the Pale Ore and Doublejump.
Then you go with Fragile Strength, Fragile Heart, and Defenders' Crest in order to get Lost Kin.
Hidden station back to the rest of the map.

You can do the next part in a few orders, but since Dreamgate OP and you're 200 essence short, what I do in this situation is:
Go to Queen's station, save at the bench, then go to Dirtmouth, get Bretta's shard, get the shard from the Grubs plus Grubsong, then save to menu.
Grubsong is pretty much the last thing you want from the grubs, so I'm pretty sure I've had you collect too many of them.
Go from Queen's Station into Deepnest via the Fungal core. Get the shard. You now have 7 masks.
Deepnest is a piece of arse. Fuck it.
Anyway, take a detour up to Galien and kick his ass. That gives you 900 essence.
(300 from Tyrant, 400 from Kin, 200 from Galien)
Go kill Herrah.
Stag station over to Burial grounds.
Go talk to seer.
She's going to give you:
The last 3rd of your soul vessel
Pale ore
Dream gate
Some other bullshit.

I hope there's a crab npc in the sequel.

But I don't want to do the boss rush thing. Maybe later this year.

Boy running around the maps trying to find something to do and constantly running into dead ends for hours sure is fun. This game sucks fucking ass.

Attached: 320665.jpg (646x639, 31K)

You mean like a I did?

Stag to Storeroom
Dreamgate at the Storeroom stag.
You have 2 pale ore, and you should be able to afford Nail + 3.
Go to Lurien.
You can double jump and walljump to the right of the statue - the balcony is open, it's only the bottom floor that's closed.
Nail + 3, Fragile Strength, Fragile Heart, Gathering Swarm, and 7 base masks SHOULD be enough to plow Watcher Knights.
After you kill Lurien, fucking Dreamgate son.
Skip all that runback.

Stag to Dirthmouth
Set dreamgate at the bottom of the well
Fucked if I know what you should buy at this point.
Monomon, kick Monomon's ass
Dreamgate out

You now have 7 masks, 6 charm slots, Nail + 3 for Hollow Knight. Recommend Fragile Str, Fragile Heart, Grubsong.
If he gets you to 2 hp, save and fucking quit so you don't lose your charms dumbass.
Kick his ass, gg.
Should take about 3.5 hours in total.

(You)

Anyway, while I know that the speedrun route skips at least half of what I do, the hardest thing you do here is Lost Kin at Nail + 2, Fragile str, 8 masks (if you include fragile heart)
If you find that too tough, then skip all the essence, and skip the elegant key. Do Nosk instead of Galien when you get to Deepnest for the ore.

Dreamgate really is fucking OP. While it is faster to skip it, I wouldn't recommend it because if you're going for the 5hour any% you're presumably also going for the 20hour 100% and my god does having dreamgate help immensely for that.

I haven't played hollow knight in months and forgot what I'm supposed to do. Should I start a new game or just find out anyways?

Just start all over again, it'll be a lot more enjoyable.

I have the feeling she won't be one of the good guys, user.

She's obviously the Hornet in Hornet's game.

She'll become an ally after you defeat her. Libcukc aussies won't have you kill a woman.

HOW DO I KILL HIM?! I CANT NOT TAKE HITS! FIRST ZOTE NOW HIM! FUCK

Attached: Great_Nailsage_Sly_Idle.png (330x139, 14K)

if it's possible I'd like to start from the bottom of the abyss and spiderman my way back up

The very first boss in HK is a pregnant fly though.

Yeah, a gross looking fly. Flukemarm is a "woman" too, right? Meanwhile women that actually look like women (Mantis Lords, Godtamer, Hornet) don't die when you defeat them.

So being able to modify one of your spells was actually a very nice option for variety.
I'm the only one who missed more charms like this?
I don't really know what other effects could've been done, but just wish there were more interesting modifiers like this.

Attached: Flukenest.png (149x141, 32K)

Already thought of that, but it just seems way too predictable. I don't want to think they will be using the same trope again, to be honest.

That's a good point. Still, they're not completely cucked, otherwise you would be killing the pretty ones and not the ugly ones.

You can already see you fight her at least in 2 different places, so they will. There's nothing wrong with having a rival though.

Yeah, I know most interactions, but I mean straight modifiers to your spells rather than buffs.
Also if you want to use offensive poison clouds Flukenest + Defender's is better imo.

By the way Baldur's Shell is such a letdown of a charm. A shame, I liked the idea.

Attached: Flukeling_dung.png (274x198, 41K)

7 of the missing ones are Godhome specific, they will first appear in pantheons. For the rest, read their pedestal for tips.

Ahahahahaha... kill me

Literally go to their missing statues.

I felt so good about myself when I beat the regular version of Grimm on Radiant difficulty, but Pure Vessel just makes me feel like an absolute idiot.

Oro lives in a pretty luxurious place despite living out at the Kingdom's Edge. If you look at his furniture and stuff you can see it's what the high-society and noble bugs in the City of Tears use.

I think he just sold out. Maybe he started demanding geo for lessons like he does with you and that pissed Mato off, maybe he helped the Pale King out in some way with something Mato disagreed with, it's not really clear.

Attached: '-'.jpg (797x599, 26K)

Does the inventory drop invincibility glitch work on the Switch? There's a place in Queen's Garden I want to fool around with.

>hmm, maybe we went a bit overboard with this MOTHERFUCKER

In the end flukenest + shaman stone + that thing to reduce cost worked for killing the watcher knights.

Still took me like 10 more attempts.

They used to have mercy back in the day. Now they do not give a single fuck anymore.

Attached: 1551994183775.jpg (564x490, 27K)

I kinda like how they gave casual players a way to finish the Grimm Troupe but then did a complete 180 on Godmaster. You want to beat it? Beat Absolute Radiance.

You want the complete statue? Do every boss on one-hit radiant difficulty, including the new super tough bosses and surprisingly bullshit old ones.

Want the final hunter's journal entry? Beat almost every boss with all bindings on, and then do it all again plus Absolute FUCKING Radiance at the end.

Attached: 4chan ohgosh.png (500x223, 28K)

Correct.

Yes but those fuckers were never on the same side

And shade soul + stone is 40
Flukenest + stone is 64 at point blank

it'll be a worse game that people will claim is better because its now waifu focused

where do you do this?

>And shade soul + stone is 40
If you manage to hit 2 of them that's about 80 though.
Also, Shade Soul has such a ridiculous hitbox that can hit an enemy twice, meaning the best case scenario is a 160 damage between the 2 knights. Although this depends on each enemy, I don't know if the Watcher Knights are susceptible to the double hit.
>Flukenest + stone is 64 at point blank
80 actually. Even with that I still think they nerfed Flukenest a bit too much.

Never played, how are the rpg elements (if there are any). Does it have damage numbers, or stats? Does it have levels (like experience gaining levels). Not saying I won't play it if it doesn't have those just curious. I liked that a lot in SoTN

I wasn't implying Flukenest is bad choice by any means, I still love that charm.

Friendly reminder that the white palace is not a memory but a real place sealed by essence

It's not dream Land, if you die there it's real

Story will be worst probably without a doubt. Gameplay will be better though probably. I'm really wondering about enemies though hollow knight enemies minus bosses kinda suck honestly.

I miss Isma too, buddy... ;-;

Same thing happens with Godhome too.

He's a good boi ;_;

Defs a metroidvania, but no rpg numbers (visible anyway). There are mask (health), soul (magic) upgrades, and various levels of weapon upgrades. Has your average gambit of moveset upgrade abilities for a metroidvania. Exploration is kino, music is kino, atmosphere is kino, artstyle is a subjective thing but personally I find it also to be kino. story is pure ludo, great if u like the (dont crucify me bc its literally and obvious, deliberate stylistic choice on TC's part) the Dark Souls school of environment-based storytelling.

Yeah but there's a mid-late game method of making them unbreakable as a money sink.

They do
The same guy repairs them for cheap

It's just annoying to go back to until you get movement upgrade

I think I'll just sit down tomorrow and complete the damn thing, even if it takes me ten hours. My biggest problem with it is just plain boredom. Fighting through 30 minutes of bebbie bosses each time gets old very fast.

It's not as good as it looks. It's useful for less than a handful of bosses in the game.

Just done the Trial of Fool for the first time. Feels good, user.

Post saw memes
I live for them

Why did the king need to become smol?

>I mean, I get "le hardcore mod" are a meme now and all of that, but at that point I don't really find it fun.

That's fine, it's just not for you. It's for people who got so good playing the hardest boss fights repeatedly that everything in the skill ceiling of the regular game seems boring now. Just like how people really good at mario platforming can't enjoy what Nintendo produces anymore and basically have to play romacks and Kazo shit to get the same kind of enjoyment out of mario everyone else gets.

Attached: 1549859721965.jpg (474x853, 109K)

This certainly helps but the guy got hella lucky.

I'm just saying a bossfight being so "hard" that the only thing you can do is pogo for several minutes and can't use any of the other numerous tools the game offers for an otherwise fluid and intuitive as fuck combat, is honestly not fun at all.
Just autistic.
What makes HK combat so tight and fun is the variety of its simple mechanics. That entire video input is 99% down+attack. "Hard", sure, but also retardedly boring.

Attached: B_Grub_Mimic.png (239x222, 21K)

How can it be real if it's a memory inside a dream?

The thing that scared me the most when I first encountered one was that it could follow you up ledges.

The only memory is the one you see in path of pain

The palace is real, just teleported

How much of a shitter am I? I'm 24 hours in and I have 2 dreamers beat and I can't beat Nosk, The collector, watcher knights or the first trial in the coliseum. I am honestly thinking about grinding for unbreakable strength.

I'm the resident scrub, 25 hours in and did The Beast and The Watcher today

We're all gonna make it brah

You do have nail+3 by now, yes??

>I had not even killed one of the dreamers yet
Same here. It was those damn aspids!

Sprintmaster and Dashmaster seem redundant. Might dump Dashmaster since in the heat of battle, I can only get one real dash off anyway.

Yeah I have the 3+ nail.I just beat the collector as well. I'm going to beat the watcher knights next.

It's time.

Attached: 1550890578840.png (673x457, 204K)

Scroll up for my cheesy build for the watcher knights if you think about giving up

>Mind break
DELETE THIS

How scub am I? It took me twenty hours to beat Radiant Absolute Radiance.

So Nightmare King Grimm gives you no time for healing it seems. Best to just equip the lifeblood thing and use soul for dmg?

SURPRISE

quick focus gives you enough time, otherwise take deep breaths and dont choke up when he does three FOOTDIVES in a row

agreed. part of me thinks that the nail arts/charm were supposed to be rewards for beating their respective fights instead of just having them teach you one immediately upon finding them. would make sense thematically since they're all warriors. one of them even has a training area with a dummy by his hut that might've been his boss arena.

needs bardoon and his spanking fetish

you can use shape of unn during fire pillars.

biggest opening is during spikes
definitely run qf or unn if you want to be able to heal effectively

use shaman stone and flukenest and watch your fluke blast absolutely fuck them in two hits

>no friendly vore giraffe

Disgraceful.

>harlequin baby

What?

Holy shit I really hate the Watchers
This fucking hurts

Quirrel is objectively best bug boi

I won but I can already tell the higher level ones are going to be stupid.

Dream nail slow enemies until you're back to full health when you kill everything but them.

Attached: 1550478430059.png (1210x1828, 1.28M)

This fucker. THIS FUCKER! He's giving me more trouble than anyone else in the Trial of the Sage! I can beat my other problem bosses (God Tamer and Sly) consistently, but Zote is bullshit! He's always getting several hits in and constantly moving with that obnoxious hitbox! I can't even ironically glorify Zote now because this dream version has me SEETHING

Attached: Grey_Prince_Zote.png (521x405, 192K)

>use shaman stone and flukenest and watch your fluke blast absolutely fuck them in two hits
BTW they needed 3 flukes each at full blast
Or 2+ some slashes

Attached: 1551901167102.png (404x406, 68K)

not to mention they made Mantis Lord a son of a bitch to fight. RIP Cloth... :,(

AAAAAAAAAand they're dead second try after switching to Quick Slash (Nail +2)
Fucking WHY did I try some stupid offensive soul build 8 times FUCK me

How?
I'm shit but once you get the pattern they're great to fight against

Holy fuck the triple swing almost always grazes me, I did manage to figure you can pogo over and dodge the rest but I can only do it through sheer luck. This fight is so much more fun than Oro/Mato/Sheo/Sly by a long shot though.

Attached: VESSEL.png (1600x900, 1.29M)

By now you should know that you can pogo over 99% of the game surfaces and enemies, even their weapons

>Mfw I used to main Yoshimitsu in Tekken 3

Yeah I know about the pogo but his triple swing psyched me out until I thought to slow down and jump over it, still haven't got the timing on it. Other than the triple swing I'm not really having issues aside from getting unlucky.
Bryan Fury main since Tekken 3 btw

Quick Slash + Strength help get it over quicker, Mark of Pride too to keep a safer distance so he doesn't run in to you. Also use dive i-frames if you get trapped or to deal with minions/shockwaves.

Attached: radiant GPZ.webm (674x380, 2.89M)

Try jumping before the attacks start. Gives you more time to react and dodge with double jump, dash, or pogo.

Oh no I forgot to rescue Zote whoops what a tragedy I'll definitely have to go back for him.

Man, the snails are so cool in this game.

This is the typical response from the incapable.
Using "boring" as a euphemism for "I suck"

No, I just genuinely think being able to only use pogo for an entire bossfight is boring.
Think whatever you want, it's my honest opinion.

what the fuck is his problem

kek

REEEE SHIT DAMNIT COCKSUCKER FUCK.
How do I deal with this guy's spawners in the third pantheon on all bindings? I literally just skipped to the 4th a successfully beat it. Zote was already a hassle that I consistently found harder than Pure Vessel but now on top of that he has two hit zotelings? Fuck

Boy am I glad that he's trapped in there and that we're out here
And that he's the Grey Prince, and that we're out here
And that we're trapped in there and I just remembered we're out here
But what I want to know is where's Zote the Mighty?

Attached: 1503640989290.jpg (600x587, 196K)

Let's plot a quest...

Hallownest

He seems like a cranky and more stubborn version of Don Quijote, that doesn't want a Sancho around him.

Hiveblood aquired. The fight wasn't too bad but the trek back to it before I learned the patterns was the worst

Going into the White Palace, what charms would you recommend?

For a spell build, the earliest way to get the important shit (spells), appears to be to just go through the intended path:
>get the wall-jump and backtrack a bit for the early Wraiths on Fog Canyon
>then just enter the City through the main gate crossing the bridge
>do Soul Sanctum and Crystal Peak right after

Is there perhaps some option I'm missing that would allow me to get magic related shit even earlier?

Attached: Spell_Twister.png (127x139, 30K)

yeah you gotta bee careful

Attached: carlos.jpg (600x600, 35K)

Who else ready for Silksong and another end game pantheon?

Same

Thats why i started a new game

I made an entirely new safefile with only 2 Nail Upgrades so I could train against him. Heal the moment he summons his ghosts, instantly go for the kill against spawns (with spells if you must) and generally spam descending dark as much as possible. He's definitely the second hardest fight in the entire thing for me.

Gottem.
Really fun boss. Hard enough to be challenging but not enough to be frustrating.

Like people do every single thread?

Guess not then.
It's a shame there's not a lot you can do before the wall-jump.

Is Deep Focus and Grubsong good charms when trying to do White Palace?

Yeah, also, if you have Grubberfly's Elegy to equip too it makes Grubsong recover 25 soul points (instead of 15).

is there any reason not to switch over to godseeker mode once you unlock it?

I'm fighting his 8th form. Pretty sure he's dealing 6 masks now. The little frog thingies and flying zotes do 3 masks.

Hive blood. Don't let people tell you otherwise.

So the Grimmchild is something like a vessel for the power of the Nightmare's Heart?

Attached: similarity.png (1920x1080, 1.5M)

But I'm impatient

>Grimmchild attacks the dream tribe statues
It's the little things.
Still I wish the Seer had some dialogue related to the Grimm Troupe, she doesn't say anything about it.

Attached: 367520_screenshots_20171029000426_1.jpg (1366x768, 115K)

So I pogo'd into the upper City of Tears and found the wings later
Were you 'intended' to do the Watchers after getting the double jump?

he means the traitor lord. fuck that guy I've been stuck for like 4 weekends

I love the little guy, but anyone else think he's awfully weak? 11 damage per shot is nothing and he has abysmal aim. Especially compared the huge buffs Weaversong got after Lifeblood.

He also attacks Millibelle, which is super awesome.

Attached: grimm child.png (1150x892, 194K)

What does it have to do with hive blood? You can refill it with so if you want too. It isn't lie Joni's blessing where you can't use your focus.

Attached: d7dc3f9c36b4737efb71efc65b702696.png (811x811, 483K)

I only noticed right before I entered Monomon's lab, and I started kicking myself later for realizing how obvious it had been.
Hollow Knight really shines in its visual storytelling and imagery.

Believe me user, you will eventualy git gud. By the 10th battle, it took me only 2 tries to beat him with only 8 masks, and the radiant version in the hall of gods was the first radiant boss I decided to fight against, which I beat on the first try. You can do it.

>You can refill it with soul if you want to.*
Don't mind me, I just woke up.

Attached: 1552079381627.png (466x574, 288K)

It's just if you don't have enough soul, I'll have to wait a little before another try.
Eh, I'll look into it when I get back to a bench

Well, that's not very nice.

Attached: Screenshot (777).png (1920x1080, 1.81M)

This. God damn, this.
I am a ten thumbed cripple retard and that fucking honey carried me through WP, praise the bees.
Path of Pain can go fuck itself.
One tip that helped me too was to turn the sound off. The saw rhythms fucked with my timing in certain parts because of the noises. Good luck negro

>Especially compared the huge buffs Weaversong got after Lifeblood.
Eh, they upped the damage from 2 to 3 but killed one of the weaverlings; effectively their combined damage went from 8 to 9.
I know about the interactions with Sprint Master and Grubsong. Specially Grubsong, but those tiny bits of soul never seemed worth the 3 notches compared to other soul builds.

>but anyone else think he's awfully weak
All the pets are underpowered honestly.
Just look at the Glowing Womb. Only 9 damage each hatchling for a constant drain of soul.
The real disappointment? Defender's Crest doesn't actually make them stronger, it just changes part of the damage to poison ticks, but they still do 9 total.

Attached: Hatchling.png (107x90, 22K)

Attached: 00.png (500x381, 172K)

NKG is actually easy to read after like 10 deaths

God damn the last ascent against the radiance is so kino

FUCKING

Daily reminder that Grimm is part spider. Vampire Moth headcanon fags eternally BTFO.

Attached: hmmmmm.jpg (750x504, 139K)

It does, but it's a lot more precise. You can't just open your inventory in mid-air, you have to do it just as you fall off a ledge.

>Still I wish the Seer had some dialogue related to the Grimm Troupe, she doesn't say anything about it.
She literally wrote the hunter journal entry for Grimm

Well, you can also use the kingsoul if waiting around is that much of a bother, although I think it will take just as long for it to fill up once it's empty.

Nah, he's just a creepy shapeshifter with nightmare powers.
He could probably grow 2 faces if he wanted to.

Attached: 6724y73y468u7898.png (210x186, 85K)

I didn't remember the quote about the 2 realms getting separated was hers.
It would still be cool if she reacted to the Grimmchild, if only for a line or so.

>kingsoul
I don't think I have that one yet. Is that what the White Fragment turns in to when you have the other part? I thought I would get the other part in White Palace

can i do path of pain if i already saw the white king corpse?

The moth theme is crucial for the Radiance and the dream tribe so it would be confusing to make another quasi-divine moth character. Grimm being a spider with a red cape makes more sense. Interestingly there is a species of spider known as vampire spider and there is also a species of moth known as vampire moth, although neithers are their official scientific name.

You do, I thought you were talking about the Path of Pain. My bad.

Attached: baby boomer.jpg (455x512, 44K)

yeah

>that fucking anime eye shine they give each other
>GYASOOOOO

And remember that the two are being called to Godhome through their dreams. So even if in a dream, where things might not even be real; even if back in the real world they have not spoken in years, they will always and forever be brothers.

Attached: 91467239.png (500x738, 564K)

it also attacks the banker which i assume it for lore reason that i dont know yet

Oh no. I figured I should finish the White Palace first before taking on Path of Pain

My wife in the back.

Your wife is a lesbian.

Holy shit that one is good

youtu.be/0QnLG-JEzzU

>Team Cherry commented
It's over guys, they will fuck us in the ass in SilkSong

>what is the fucking radiance

So let me get my lore straight. The Grimm Troupe are the containers for the scarlet fire of the Nightmare Heart, the nightmare counterpart to the Radiance. They travel to dying kingdoms to consume a particular kind of essence and multiply, after being summoned there by the lantern's call (the lanterns presumably being set up by Troupe members they send to different kingdoms in advance). Grimm himself gives to birth to a Grimmchild through battle with a challenger. The intended conclusion is the destruction of Grimm and being replaced by the Grimmchild which will eventually grow up into the same form as Grimm. What happens if banishment is chosen, or the challenger is unable to finish the ritual? Looking at Grimm's fight he seems to be made up of a swarm of Grimmchildren in their pen-ultimate state. Presumably the Grimmchild you reared simply gets added to the swarm, which directly increases the Grimm Troupe's power. But leaves the purpose of the completed ritual in which Grimm dies unanswered.

Attached: tumblr_pd3tapunAO1xvq0pso1_1280.png (1024x1024, 321K)

When I first saw the Grey Mourner I thought the character was shaped like an old man. It took me a long time to accept it was female.

Attached: mysterious.png (310x271, 57K)

To be exact I was reminded of this old man.

Attached: 00526753_P0002015.jpg (2000x1125, 387K)

I can see the confusion

It looked to me like those moustache guys you free in metal slug

>in bottom right corner see small text of shit like "hazard location updated" with coordinates and "new scene loaded White Palace"
is that part of speedrun mode or something

I think I ruined the game a bit for myself. At some point I started using the combination of the charms that allow for quick healing, prolonged invulnerability, defender's crest and the thorns. This basically allows me to cheese the fights. I beat both the Watcher Knights and Hornet on the second try. Beat all the dream bosses on the first try.

Also, Bretta blushing and jumping when you're around is the cutest thing in the world.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 102K)

Would you call a vampire as being made up of a swarm of bats?

>charms that allow for quick healing, prolonged invulnerability, defender's crest and the thorns
You won't be able to abuse that against the big boys. Trust me.

Attached: boomer.jpg (400x400, 32K)

>another end game pantheon
Hell yeah.
yfw it's Hall of Gods has Ghost+Void Lord at the end instead of Radiance

It needs to add completion percentage this time.

theres no mention that they go specifically to dying kingdoms

>He's definitely the second hardest fight in the entire thing for me
fucking this. With all bindings on it's Absolute Radiance>Grey Prince Zote>>Pure Vessel=Collector>Marmu=Markoth>>>>>>the rest

I hope it will be a complimentary game that acts as a v1.5 sequel.
Playing as Hornet and showing more lore sounds gud

So, I just beat the White Palace and got the Kingsoul and it says that it open a way to a birthplace
But checking the map I can't find a single place I haven't been
And tips or hints?

In 2nd phase I use all three two equal effect with maybe Descending Dark edging out the other two to dodge overlap horseshit

Go down

>Through dream I travel, at lantern's call To consume the flames of a kingdom's fall

Attached: Grimm.jpg (1920x1080, 234K)

abyss, silly. a new section opens up but it doesn’t show in the zoomed out or the zoomed in map

I have my trophy Steel Soul 112% file so why would I? Godseeker Godhome should teleport you to the start of the game when you exit it or something. Disappointing fucking mode.

Right. I thought about the abyss, but I couldn't see anything new on the map. To the abyss I go

I missed that too.

Did you play with the game muted?

does the white lady look at flukemarm and get jealous

He said he thought she looked that way when he first SAW her

Fair enough.

Where does Dung Defender go? He used to pop up when I came back to he place, but now he's gone

Why is White Lady so cute?

that fight was cool as hell

Attached: 20190309205321_1.jpg (1366x768, 237K)

oops, id assumed since they dont choose where the lantern was, that Hallownest being a dead kingdom wasnt the main draw, he’s only after the scarlet flames nearby

>The lantern has been lit, and your summons heeded. A fine stage you choose, this kingdom fallowed by worm and root, perfect earth upon which our Ritual shall take place. -grimm

>It is painful to defy the Master, but our harvest... it profanes this dark, quiet Kingdom. -brumm

“In what poor moment they descend upon our ruin. Aid their propagation, if you so choose, but do not renege on the larger task this kingdom implores.-white lady

Kinda lacking moveset I thought but the attacks painting the arena was cool af yeah.

Use the desolate dive.
