Hey guys so I'm get ready to buy a Macbook pro and I'm debating on which 1 of the 2 I should get for gaming. Is the extra $300 worth the extra memory that comes in the 1.3GHz model?

First time on Yea Forums but don't worry, I'm 24.

Thanks in advance!

um bump?

>intel hd 615
both are trash. enjoy your lags in the browser

you can get brand new laptop with ryzen 2500u for $500 and it will out perform this garbage.

Nice bait but I really love the Macbook Air.

what bait? 2500u bulldozer performace, that is, 4x more than this while being literally 3 times cheaper. vega destroys intel hd period. only a fucking retard would buy apple

Jesus people seriously pay do much for laptops this shit? Must be Murican thing, no one except super rich people would buy that here. Overpriced and worse in every aspect than a normal laptop.

Work gives me one of these and replaces them every two years or so.

can you sell it and get a normal laptop? i would do this

Bait aside, what is a good laptop if you want to be able to play games on it? I need a laptop because I have to have something that's portable, so a desktop PC isn't an option. Would one of those external GPUs be more cost effective than a custom built laptop with those specs built in?

...but I really love my MacBook pro. It has the word pro on it, which stands for prolapse.

I'm thinking you're baiting. In case you aren't, both CPUs are garbage for gaming, the GPU is the same and is garbage for gaming.

Neither of those is a MacBook Pro

>games
not apple for sure

get any laptop with a good cpu and then an external gpu. would probably be cheaper than a ""gaming laptop"" and would run better as well.

>can you sell company property

Why don't you try it when you get a job?

>1600$
>512 GB

you are retarded. you can play gta5 on vega, wish you luck with that intel hd

Anything with at least a GTX 1050 which doesn't throttle like mad.

Ironically, you're not going to get a decent laptop with thunderbolt ports without either a beefy GPU or a weak-ass CPU, so the optimal use case for eGPU doesn't seem to really exist.

There are no "good" laptops. If you play any modern games assuming your laptop can run them it will overheat everytime.Eventually your laptop will break but it can be fun for a while. Most gaming laptops only have a couple hours of battery in game fyi.

You can't get the Vega GPU on either of those Macbook though.

thats why you dont buy apple, get a normal laptop like a normal human

Get a Dell XPS instead or something with much better specs. You're ripping yourself off pal don't do it!!!

Is the Dell XPS considered the leading windows laptop model, in terms of rivalling the macbook pro?

No, but my point is was that these things probably aren't marketed towards the discerning user who wants to make the most out of his bucks, but rather a company who would rather just allocate a budget for thing that does X and just dump said money. Maybe its a stupid financial decision but they seem to be able to afford it just fine.

>sixteen hundred dollary doos for a craptop
nobody parts a fool from his money better than apple, but nvidia is certainly trying.

I'm pretty sure my shitheap Dell work laptop from the early '10s outperforms those in most categories which is quite impressive to say the least.
