Claire's Quest is/was good, but they made the dubious choice to 'rebuild' the assets, and there hasn't been an update since. In my experience this can easily kill games with fast releases, and good as it is, it never had fast releases.

Can't go wrong with Evenicle. It's actually decent even if you removed all the porn.

The publisher is nice at least.

I've played frankly embarassing amount of these, so here's my recommended stand-outs.
>Melty's Quest
Yes, it is on Steam, and one of the first eroge that made it in, but the amount of content combined with the nailed difficulty is pretty good. Combat can also be handled very fast.
Not recommended if you're not into protag being a slut who's into sex. Recommende if you are.
>Rune's Pharmacy
Play as big titty elf to pay back debt that your parents left for you. Has absolutely gorgeous art, and very vanilla RPG Maker combat.
>Salvation
Cast of three adventurers have to do increasingly lewd acts to rank up their classes, which results in the costumes being more and more skimpy. Has some gimmicks going on, but is fine.
>Naked King Game
Play as exhibitionist lolis and shota. No combat, more of a puzzle adventure game. Has pretty awesome pixel-art. Also check out Pettanko Park from same developer.
>Anthesis
Play as closeted slut schoolgirl. No combat, but there's time and resource management.
>J○Fight
Play as _____schooler. Modern setting with combat, different jobs to take... The scene variety is pretty good here.

You're a shota stuck on a remote island for summer vacation. Surprisingly involved with lots of stuff going on, and you can fuck MILFs, big-sisters and lolis.

Play as a slut on a quest to be greatest slut during summer vacation. The scenes here are pretty disappointingly short, but you can freely switch out any element of your costume, which is really neat.

Monster Girl Quest and Evenicle are probably not only the best eroge games I played, but also fantastic rpgs.

This is strictly RPG Maker stuff, so here's some that are on other engines.

Other user mentioned this, but it's still worth pointing out. Fairly standard JRPG, with frequent sex scenes and world map to explore.
>Kamidori
You manage alchemy shop with bunch of girls lusting after your dick, and go on adventures to gather ingredients. The combat it surprisingly fun, feeling like lite-Fire Emblem.
>Beat Blades Haruka
Manage two and half ninjas, fucking them to increase their stats. The gameplay is simple but fun, and there's absolutely insane amounts of content.
>Eiyuu Senki
The gameplay is poor man's Sengoku Rance, but there's good variety girls, each who have scenes.

You got a shit taste. Rance VI is legit better dungeon crawler than something like Legend of Grimrock. But I do admit that porn in VI and Sengoku is pretty rubbish.
...And Evenicle isn't even part of Rance series.

These games would be pretty ok if the CGs had more variation. As it is, every sexual partner and the sex you have with them only has like three pieces of art with different layers of clothing tacked on top. That's not really enough to illustrate five encounters.

For some reason I always thought Evenicle was an RPGmaker game. Just one that had actually effort put into it and not just rushed out with cookie cutter mechanics.

The only games that are decent are ones without forced scenes and events. Being able to do pure runs or slut runs are the only good ones, but too many force scenes to the point they might as well just made the game they had in mind. Too many give the illusion of choice in them, and that's why they all mostly fall short.

That's not actually too rare, though in most cases "pure routes" require grinding and knowing to avoid certain fights.
Virgin Island has you playing as girl who finds super powered sword which only works if you are virgin. If you lose in combat you can get raped. Virgin and non-virgin playthroughs are pretty different.
Kamikaze Kommittee Ouka might also fit the criteria, though it's been a while since I played it.
Melty's Quest also lets you play through the game while avoiding all of the sex which gets you a different ending, though protag has lost her virginity before story even begins.

I'll play a non-porn game if I want gameplay with no porn. Playing a NTR game, that advertises itself as a NTR game, for non-NTR content is stupid as fuck. I can even tolerate a game that has lots of NTR in it if the non-NTR content is plenty enough to compensate, which I really doubt a NTR focused RPGmaker game has it.

Porn RPGs that don't offer player choice and branching pathways for success or failure in key situations are not worth playing. Even cuckshit like THP would be interesting to play if you could actually affect the outcome of the game's events through choices and gameplay. Then the gameplay and using your characters effectively would actually matter.
