Also my memory is fuzzy on Persona 5 but I'm pretty sure some bosses allowed you to hit weaknesses and press turns without knockdowns (and even if they did they had ungodly resistance to AOA so it's a waste), which they even expanded on with the ability to tag someone in for extra damage and keep the chain going. I wouldn't mind seeing that in SMT at some point.

PF kingmaker has an entire dungeon of this garbage. There's a spell that prevents it, but it just so happens to be the exact spell level as the spell that restores stat drains, which that same level also likes to throw everywhere.
