Sure. Here I am. How shall we beat the dead horse today?

The Ringed City is the best addition to the Souls series after the first game and nothing else compares to it

This. There was not a single area in DaS1 better than their more soulful counterpart from DeS.
Blighttown had nothing on Valley of Defilement/Leechmonger swamp.

It had the framerate

The last boss of valley of defilement that girl boss was so sad :(

Reporting in. I knew about DeS and was interested in it before it even released. I'd just like to say that I loved all of From's action RPGs: DeS, DaS1-3, and BB. They just make good fucking games and are my favorite dev. I'm having a hard time waiting for Sekiro to release on the 22nd.

Also loved Nioh as well. I just like video games. Fuck all the retarded shitposting and "fanbase" wars this place shits out.

I absolutely loved the Ringed City. All of From's DLC is always good but RC was definitely top-tier. It added some extremely fun weapons too like the ringed knight spear. Bosses were excellent as well.

>demon's souls
>playable

I remember i played it like the month before 2 was announced

Holy fuck no it isn't. You have garbage taste.

Play on an emulator. Granted it works better than DaS PC port

The game itself is shit though, it's just a worse Dark Souls

Both games had excellent and "soulful" areas though user.

The level design was awful, and it had 2 good bosses. Bloodborne DLC is much MUCH better.

>owning a PS4

cool argument

what part of 'souls series' did you not understand

This thread is fucking bait

Yo!

DARK SOULS>DARK SOULS II>DARK SOULS III=BLOODBORNE

Baited

Bloodborne is basically a souls game, it doesn't make sense to seperate it from the other games from a gameplay sense. Dark Souls 2 DLC collectivley was better than the Ringed City too.

The level design was good though. From is always top tier on making good levels that are fun and rewarding to explore. Why didn't you like it? I liked avoiding the angel's projectiles for example. It added an interesting twist because you constantly had to worry about that thing raining death on you. It was fun searching around for the statute things and finally being able to go around the level and find things you missed before while you were too busy avoiding the projectiles.

I also liked crossing that bridge while avoiding the huge flurry of a zillion arrows. The huge guys with curved great swords were interesting as well. There's that one part where there's a bunch of them that patrol the area but you can drop attack them to take them out one-by-one. It rewards exploring and looking around to utilize the environment to take on strong enemies.

I thought it was good, I certainly don't see how you though the design was awful.

OP is a faggot

Where are my OG Demon's Souls hombre's at?

>mfw I bought at a garage sale for 15 bucks 2 weeks after it came out.
>Me and my roomate took turns and smashed the game over and over
Before the updates, before everything else.
The game was supoerb

It literally isn't. Just the same shit with less weapons, but better movesets.

Does it count if I got into the series starting with Demon's Souls but didn't actually start playing them in order until after Dark Souls 2 came out?

newcomers will never get to know the terror that is hyper aggressive dragon ass lava town

Your experience was essentially the same other than getting your ass completely shredded to death hundreds of times by Scraping Spear invaders so no.

Most of the things you listed have nothing to do with the level design. It was incredibly liner, like most of Dark Souls 3, perhaps even moreso. Ashes of Ariandel had better level design just because everything was packed closer together. One of the worst parts of Ashes was the big swamp area. The angels and arrows dont really add anything either, the just have to add in some areas to take cover from the fire.

Or the crystal ring shield being hilariously strong since it used the full attack of your left hand weapon.

>mfw beating havel faggots to the ground
It's like everyone had a hard on for havel and then they nerfed everything else for it/

>pre-patch Dark Souls Wood Grain Ring

>Dropping down on giants because of how levels are structure to allow you to do so isn't level design
>Having an obstacle on a path isn't level design
Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

>Dark soul 2/3 and bloodbourne fags bitch about backstabs
>Have no clue dark souls prepatch
I should make a mod for dark souls remaster.

There's no connection to the Souls games beyond gameplay. Is The Surge also part of the series? Are movies made by the same cast and crew part of the same series?

Well yeah they do. I listed stuff in the level that made it good. The angels changed the way you navigated and explored the level. And it wasn't that linear either, there were still plenty of paths and whatnot to explore.

And 3 isn't that linear either in terms of level design. In terms of the overall world design it was more linear but the levels themselves were still excellent. We all love the interconnectedness of the first game but the more linear world design wasn't a bad thing either.

firelink shrine is literally the most soulful area in the entire series so you're wrong unfortunately

I can assure you that Scraping Spear invaders were very present by the time I got around to playing through, they were easily the bulk of the encounters I had.

What should I do for my next run of Dark Souls 2? My two previous completely playthroughs were a quality build focused on the Great Lance and Large Club and a hex build with a longsword.

The story is following up since DeS up to BB in chronology.

Mario kart>Dark shits

Sekiro will surpass all Soulsborne titles

The Nexus was the best HUB until Majula....home

In all seriousness I really wish that Bloodborne Kart mock-up was real. I'd play the hell out of that.

Fuck you I beat King's Field before half of the faggots in this thread could even wipe themselves.

>my head canon
Fuck off

Nobody cares you boomer fuck

It doesn't always need to be a contest. I'm just happy that From continues to make good games.

From hasn't made a good game since DaS1

DS2 DLC are all better

i've never played dark souls but i watched my favorite streamer go through it recently. it was pretty good game i liked it a lot

sup

Yes they have. Maybe you're just being too picky. Is that your honest opinion user because I fail to see how you could like DaS but not like any of their games after that. I've seen posts like this plenty of times but I still just don't understand you people.

I was going to replay Dark souls 1 on ps3, but it was a new ps3 and it didnt have any of the patches installed. They increased the amount of souls you get by so much. The bell gargoyles gave me like 1000 souls, when they're supposed to give you 10,000 on the newest version. At least I'll get to mess around with glitches later on.

you should play it anyway. I like watching those blind runs because it reminds me so much of my first play through. it'll still be hard even if you watched it because you need to feel everything on your own.

1>2>des>3
I cant git gud at bloodborne.

>Games literally spell out shit that happened on the previous ones direclty in your fucking face
>The only one that doesn't follows a similar theme and has many details that link up shit with the other souls
>Somehow a headcanon thing
Only brainlets think there's no connection.

All the Souls games except 3 are peak soul. And 3 is still really fun despite that.

This is when the series fully embrace anime. Can't wait for Dark Souls 4...
