bump, we got peeps connecting so it seems to work. .75 for now, I would like to get an older copy going. This is so I could understand how to host if that makes sense.
>not .54 Fuck off, die in a car crash, hope your house burns down, and all your friends are shot by Clint Eastwood after someone killed his nigger sidekick.
Luis Young
If it's not .54 I'm not interested.
Benjamin Jackson
I bet they're allowing SMGs and custom maps also.
Jacob Russell
>Ace >outside of december fuck off you damn nigger quit trying to make a christmas time tradition into a yearly thing with a general
>wasn't there for the start of AoS There is no tradition, that was because the only user willing to host since everyone else got bored and quit playing after it turned to shit was able to host around that time. Ace of Spades was a flavor of the month back when Yea Forums still had them. Ace of Spades, Sub Rosa, King Arthur's Gold, etc
Eli Butler
hey man, ace of spades with Yea Forums is was what I did after I got home from my high school graduation instead of going to a party or some other lame shit like 3 or 4 years ago. that was like may or something? Ace of spades threads pop up every time a break rolls around.
I see where you're coming from, the game is very special to me too.
Like these guys pointed out though, AoS has a history with Yea Forums in general. I remember when it was first posted and adding the creator on Facebook.
I was never happy with how the direction of the game went, especially after selling it.
Blake Garcia
The jagex version is a total abortion although I will admit I had a good time playing on their "classic" map servers. what could have been.
Justin Phillips
When you host a .75 server does it put it on some server list or something? Why are people speaking spanish?
Jace Scott
yeah, the server I'm run gets placed on the build and shoot server list
Adrian Turner
that's retarded. you should definitely host a .54 and not let non-Yea Forums people on
Luis Bailey
Pretty sure B&S (or BS, because it's bullshit) doesn't support .54.
Easton Hall
I agree, but the goal for tonight is to test the home server I setup for dedicated hosting. The PC is pretty old, running WHS 2011 on 4 GB of DD2 RAM.
Using .75 I could get the most amount of people to connect, it also seemed to have the most documentation for me to read and figure out to setup.
Once I figure out how to get .54 going I will
Eli Turner
I think it does, you can apply the install file to the settings and I'll launch using that version. Just the host they provide seems to only support .75 & .76
Gavin Collins
The fuck are you talking about? Aside from when it was first popular on Yea Forums, AoS has always been a spur of the moment thing with no set schedule or tradition
I think you are new and just saw a coincidental surplus of these threads around Christmas and made assumptions based on that
