Is a strength/skill build good enough for HMS or do you need arcane?

Dark Souls 3 > Dark Souls 1 > Demons Souls > BB > Shit Souls 2

my first souls game was dark souls 3: the post

Yes.

Nope, I played Dark Souls 1 first.

top 25 for sure

Yes

one of the best
it'll be a cult game in about 10 years

How frustrating is this game for a shitter? I know I need to play it but I haven't played many "hard" games. I beat Monster Hunter World with a lot of difficulty (first MH game) and now I'm playing Nioh, half having a blast and half raging.

No. but it has the best soundtrack ever made:

except for silent hill, no more heroes, and maybe undertale

Nothing on the current gen consoles can even be declared best of the decade, let alone ever

Your gonna need some arcane. Honestly the best splits are still the classic skl/bld and str/arc, solely based on weapon chemistry.

it's close

It's not really that frustrating to play other than maybe a couple enemies. There's one in particular that basically take a little over half your health bar if you stay in its direct line of sight for too long, but they aren't too difficult to deal with if you kill them quickly/are wearing armor that stops it from hurting you as quickly

Most of the game is pretty fair though, and those enemies don't show up super often

Those giant ticks outside Cainhurst can go fuck themselves though

>first half of the game is perfect game design
>second half has Izalith

Did having a level as bad as Lost Izalith actually HELP the reputation of Dark Souls in the end? Definitely made it more memorable of a game

These are the games in order of difficulty, from easiest and most casual to hardest

What are you on about, BB is the easiest Souls-like game.

Nioh shits on all of them though.

Nioh is a boring piece of shit with abysmal level design

c o p e

>slow
>clunky
>characters mouths don't move
>gear and strength affects how you move

No.It's overrated pretentious japanese thrash, alongside Nier Automata.
The game gets repetitive no matter what weapon you use,the difficulty is what keeps you from dropping the game

yep

>slow
>gear and strength affects how you move

not bad things

Nioh is a good action game, but a shitty RPG. I enjoyed it but the grinding and Diablo shit loot ruined teh experience for me. Also Bloodborne has mad fucking fashion.

Possibly the best thing about you drooling retard

>>characters mouths don't move
we're in a bloodborne thread

I liked the part where all the magic and ranged weapons sucked ass, forcing you to make cookie cutter oonga boonga builds where you stacked poise and riposte/backstab everything and everyone in the game.

Is there any other game with Boomhammer? If not then yes.

Attached: Boom.jpg (1024x741, 57K)

Is there a more satisfying hammer in all of video games?

No. But it's pretty fucking good

Dark Souls 2 has boomhammer

sure

That would be DS3 > DS1 > DS2 > BB > DeS

I too enjoyed the part where bosses are either shitty gimmicks or hp sponges that can't react to you.
There's like 3 good bosses in that game, regular enemies are a chore and the color palette is fallout 3 tier.

I would say Demon's is on the easier side for the series, it's just extremely punishing when you do fuck up. You can breeze through most of the game without any armor and unupgraded weapons though, mostly dying to enviromental dangers rather than combat or bosses.
