What do we think about Satisfactory?

You should have your key.

>Epic Store exclusive
lol no

is it free? where do we get a key?

it says early access in about 2 weeks why are people playing this

answer op you are a bad shill

Probably never going to be as good as factorio, ultimately, but I hope it can carve out its own niche. I'll be keeping an eye on it, I guess. I doubt it'll be any good in EA.

>Literally a worse factorio
Pass

I agree, I'll sleep on this and keep periodically playing Factorio until this is closer to being finished.

It's like factorio but not an eyesore

They will have emailed it to you if you signed up on their website.

Why would I play this instead of factorio?

And no one say MUH GRAPHICS

>Epic
Hard pass.

I was very excited upon first seeing this game, but the Epic store is a complete deal breaker. I just do not trust Epic. It took a massive outcry to get them to implement a refund policy that wasn't straight up illegal, and even then one of their higher ups got pissy about doing it. Their account security is non-existent. They don't even require you to verify your email on account creation. People's credit card details are getting stolen left and right. Paying for "exclusives" is a cancer from consoles that has no business on PC. And if all of that weren't bad enough, Epic is beholden to the Chinese government, which is the main force behind most of the latest cancerous decisions in the video game world.
They want my money they need to release it anywhere besides Epic.

>epic store exclusive
I signed up before it became epic store exclusive. This will be a hard pass until we get a good stable version to pirate

FPBP and /thread

Look at it the other way steambros. Epicshills will pretty much beta test this shit on early access for an entire year while we'll probably get the best most complete version on steam later.

Ohhhhh shame, I was legitimately interested on this, was.

Unlike some other Epic exclusives, I don't think they've said this one will ever come to steam. I think its actually a legitimate exclusive and not a timed exclusive.

>Satisfactory
>Actually unsatisfactory
What did they mean by this?

Am I the only person ITT that actually played the game? Fucking christ

>tfw still had the Epic launcher installed from playing Unreal Tournament 4 ages ago
Anyway for anyone who wants to know, satisfactory's okay, but I wouldn't pay for it personally. It's much lighter than Factorio on the logistics side, but at least the environments look nice and there's a bit of Subnautica-feel to it with the exploration and shit. Moddability is questionable at the moment, but even with mods, the way the game is structured seems really unsuited to things like Angels/Bobs mods, turrets won't exist, etc etc. Just pirate it or wait for the steam release like the above posters, or if you're really itching just torrent the actual good alpha build and not this carved-up free weekend build.
DESU it is quite literally satisfactory, not terrible, not good, just satisfactory
literally satisfactory

Because building in 3d offers something more than building in 2d?

That's one game i wanted to play but, no can't do.

>early access
Hahaha, no.

based ancient PCbro

>turrets won't exist, etc
Wait, no turrets? So no combat too? Shame, I was really hoping to scratch my Sanctum 3 itch with that. Now it's really just a normie man's Factorio

Oh can a few of you watch me stream some shit so I can get in on that keymailer scam thing.

Modded Factorio is fucking amazing.

Is there any hope whatsoever for this to get that kind of mod support as well? Being on epic certainly doesn't help because of how much steam accomodates modding.

fpbp

Factorio has an immensely satisfying look to it once you finish a highly optimized autistic product line. I think the top down perspective works wonders. Does this game make your spaghetti covneyor belts look that satisfying as well?

Also do you defend against the zerg or is that too much copying?

it's a worse version of factorio in almost every way

Okay two points

Why would I play this instead of factorio? Z-axis?
Why would would I care about a z-axis when minecraft tekkit and other mods already exists?

it's ok. Dead after a month once everyone has it solved though.

For anyone curious, their twitter said it's the same 12month exclusive shit that Metro has with Epic.

So by the time it actually releases it may be on steam. But at that point I'd just pirate it anyway.

>modded Factorio
>this is now a Factorio thread.
Last factory I did was sushi belts. Recommend me some good mods

Hallo user. Sorry for late reply.
The spaghetti can actually look quite nice like factorio but it really feels pointless considering it's been simplified so much + you have the z-axis so you never really need to spaghetti. By simplified I mean production chains consist of 1 item -> 1 item -> 1 item level of simplicity. Also no 2-lane belts + no easy splitting/merging like in factorio means no interesting logistical puzzles, and if you do get stuck you can just lul build up anyway. There are enemies but you don't really have to defend, they won't come fight you- you have to go fight them. It's like you set the biters to passive

>TFW slightly better gpu but 4 gb ram and my mobo doesn't support anything more than that

Attached: 1547935050132.png (456x465, 444K)

>when you set up a scenario in Factorio as a ragtag group of scrub mechanics living in a down trodden shithole of an outpost on the frontier as masses of alien hordes attack you day and day out
>barely any resources now
>rescue comes in a week

Final destination.

>tfw i7 950 @4.01ghz for 10 years
>12gb ram
>gtx 970
>can still play new games at max settings or just under max settings without much or any loss of framerate
I think I did well when I built this thing. Upgraded what I needed to along the way, pretty cheaply, and it's still working fine. Even my hard drives are still marching along.

I played 4 hours, hit a progression blocking bug, played another 3. The map isn't randomly generated but it's also not full of interesting locations so it's like the worst of both worlds. I didn't do anything I'd consider fun or clever. No soul.
