ITT: Games that did nothing wrong
ITT: Games that did nothing wrong
didn't do much right either.
>nothing wrong
>progression gates
>needless beat-em-up segments
>qte missions
>hubs that force you to jog around and talk to people
Basically everything in this game that was included to artificially extend its length is what went wrong.
I love Unleashed but it did plenty wrong, senpai. It didn't have enough confidence in itself so it tried to do a bunch of stuff to pad itself out, when really it should've just trusted what it had was enough to hold a game up and made the Werehog a more focused experience.
So what you are saying is Unleashed in the Sonic 1 of boost games.
Based. The last ST Sonic game with soul, and the last good ST Sonic game as a whole package
Huh.
Yeah, I think it is.
The only good part of unleashed was high production values, so high that they tricked everyone into thinking boost gameplay had legs.
Colors was good. It had some cringey parts and ST clearly learned all the wrong lessons from it, but it was a pretty solid Wii game from the top down.
>The last ST Sonic game with soul,
True
>and the last good ST Sonic game as a whole package
False
>gutted ps2 version
And yet Sonic Adventure still gets praised by the fanbase despite doing those same things.
Nostalgia is bad. Granted, a first time should be forgiven more than future mistakes.
I think most people saw SA as a good first try with some big issues. And then when later games came out that fixed none of those issues and added a million other ones, they just kind of forgot about all that stuff in SA.
I've never played that version. I'm talking about the HD versions.
The werehog segments had solid platforming and the beat em up areas weren't that bad. People were just angry they didn't get a pure Sonic game without gimmicky bullshit which is something 3D Sonic never even had until Colors and by that time the series devolved into boost shit
They should've focused on one or the other. As is, the beat em up felt shallow and tacked on and the platforming felt like it didn't go as far as it could've and it didn't flow because it kept getting broken up by the fights.
Werehog gameplay was deeper than it had any right to be, the problem is that the highest scored were given to combos with qtes. The werehog just needed to not have that shitty theme and not lock you into unnecessary combat so that way it could play more like an action rpg
Sonic was never good
We know the DX version is buggy as shit, Arin.
Arin was either purposely running against the walls, or didn't know that the loops are automated.
>The werehog segments had solid platforming and the beat em up areas weren't that bad.
Just play GoW, it's far better at... well, being GoW.
And yeah, I want to play Sonic's core gameplay in Sonic, why else would I like him? Characters? I'm not a storyfag.
>Anti Sonic fags were never good
Shoo shoo snoyfag no one asked for your opinion
>If a game has bugs that I need to go out of my way to find then it's automatically bad
Why are zoomers like this?
the only thing unleashed did wrong was not being 10/10. sonic team had to redeem themselves with something completely perfect to cleanse the palette after sonic 06. sonic unleashed being average wouldn't have been such a big deal if it didn't have to redeem itself before anyone knew what it was like
>Ninten.drone defending non Sonic gameplay in Sonic, like all Modernfags do
Should have guessed. No righteous Sonicfag would be a Nintendofag, like in the 90s.
