Who is that semen demon?
Me on the right
I miss good ones. Jewish homosexual propaganda outlets like Game Informer still exist, though.
The more I think about it, the more I realize they died at a good time. I'd hate to see a modern ultrapozzed Nintendo Power or EGM.
No, they were always shit. You just think otherwise because the exact same information wasn't as readily and/or viewable on the internet as they are now.
Keira
Not really, I only ever bought them for the demo disks
I do miss demo disks though, it was neat getting a bunch of shit you'd never ever think of buying and trying it out
>the internet always existed and was reliable enough to view easily on demand.
Get a load of the Zoomed.
I remember this Spanish gaming mag which came with porn and hentai ads. That was pretty cool.
I miss PSM, but not any of the others. PSM always did their own thing, unfortunately they blew OPM the fuck out so much that Sony bought them and most of the staff left.
I miss the times when video game magazines were actually necessary to find quality titles and news, more than I miss the magazines themselves.
who's the artist?
>tfw you still have a few Saturn demo disks
I remember playing the bomberman demo over and over. Same with the jade cocoon demo on ps1
No.
Hentype?
Adam Warren.
yeah
but its why i kept my golden era shit from nintendo power, gamepro, tips and tricks, etc etc etc. i have a HUGE shelf of just gaming mags from 1988 to 2005, fuck everything past that point, save for the final issue of NP which was fucking sad as shit that they didn't get to do a REAL final issue, like 500 pages or some shit.
>nintendo power stopped coming to your mailbox every month in 2012
>it's been 7 years...
>gaming mags from 1988 to 2005
You sound like you have a lot so you may not know but do you know if any of those from 2004/2005 have any interviews talking about Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year door? Desperately trying to find any interview regarding that game.
zoomer
Yes, they actually talked about games and where propaganda ladden pieces of shit talking about the writers personal life.
I sometimes find it interesting to check out old gaming magazines just to see how much stuff they got wrong or went nowhere.
not really
They chose their fate.
Let them burn.
i might, lemme take a look
the 93-96 period is that, pretty much
I miss game manuals.
Game magazines, nope.
When magazines were big most people had no internet at all or dialup and it took ages to load a single image letalone anything more
Thanks, I really appreciate it. If you find anything just tell me the magazine+issue, I plan to scan it whenever I can buy it.
No nostalgia over literal books of game advertisements.
Bump
I loved PSM but Adam Warren's art was a fucking blight, especially on the swimsuit editions.
this
during the 80s and up to about 97~ most people didn't have the net, at all. even i was a quakefag with Q1, but the net was slow as shit. you think how slow it must be to play on those speeds, but you realize that EVERYONE was going that fast.
cept those T1fags, but they were rare.
No, we have the internet now.
tfw no more thicc game manuals
I think this is the biggest loss desu.
I miss EGM.
Yes
>Nubile anime girls
What game was that supposed to be?
Yeah, I do. I miss the magazines, and I miss the era of gaming in which they flourished. And I miss enjoying things. Now I'm depressed.
I miss Nintendo Power
i fapped to that cover so many fucking times.
Demo discs aren't really necessary now, because modern games are basically all the same, so if you've played one, you've played them all.
I miss Nintendo power before they had that takeover
Loved getting a new issue in the mail every month
I missed them ever since they sold out around the late N64 era and became EGM minus the dirty jokes.
The advertisements could be fun too, though.
True enough. Never will see vidya ads like that again.
I loved the non-official mags
they would always be the dirtiest sweariest filth
SOUL

Googled him and turns out he's playing baseball nowadays.
CRUISINNN YAAAaaaahhh
I thought this was supposed to be a pun on winner at first, but then it starts talking about hot dogs.
>no bad games on daxters list
i want to go back
Based and Reginapilled.
This reminded me of the Nintendo Power video I got for starfox 64.
youtube.com
I know the thread's about magazines but.. this is part of my nostalgia from Nintendo Power
That Pit. Sure its accurate to the best ending in the NES game but still
My Nintendo Power shirt I've had for ~16 years still fits.
You still around dude?
I miss grungy 90s/early 00s graphic design.
I hope zoomers all become full on edgelords when they hit puberty and throw off the sissy millennial bullshit we've foisted on them. Just don't be boring, that's all I ask.
Not Gamefan you ignorant piece of shit
>Who is that semen demon?
Stupid fucking zoomer
I remember flapping to that cover and some of the swimsuit issues back in the day.
Also had a fold out poster of pic related that I busted many a nut to.
Those where happier times.
Goddamn i still have this same issue in my closet. I thought that cover was hot as fuck. I wonder if the artist did anymore like it
>always decided what magazine to buy based on what free shit comes with it
I wish I was more loyal...
dude i got one of those
its miss spell tho, i wanted mike or larry
i wish i still had my illusion of gaia shirt, but i wore that so damn much it destroyed itself.
>that one christmas issue with the big tiddy christmas elf sneaking into a house to drop off a gift
Asking for it
sorry man, i don't have it.my NP stuff stops at the early GC era.
Just a few I have on hand. Got a huge box of oldies down in the basement.
I remember back in the day not knowing what DBZ was and seeing Chrono next to a blond version of himself wearing a cape stumped me.
I'll give you a hint, it's from Jak and Daxter.
This one is scanned?
Upper cabinet has most everything i got.
I have more NP in a tub.
That's fine, I appreciate looking for me.
