I mean, that already happened. Sales of DBZ games were tanking for a while before they started adding original stories with Xenoverse, which is why Raging Blast died with 2 for example.

They likely hope it has been long enough since there was a real attempt at retelling the story by now.

They need to do a Xenoverse that doesnt suck. Actual storyline with divergent paths. Option to be a rebel time patroller or by the books. Add an alignment system or something.

If Fighter Z has such shit graphics as you say then this other new game has worse graphics. All I want is competent graphics from Next-Gen consoles. Something that can be considered timeless. The PS4 cannot do cartoony quite right, so here's hoping the PS5 can deliver. Because once graphics of the cartoony types are able to truly become timeless then it's going to be quite enjoyable to not worry about a game looking wonky.

Freeza had a couple good things introduced in Super (the idea of a new Golden form mirroring Super Saiyan achieved by training, something he never did before and which he didn't believe in and yet allowed for Goku to beat him in the first place; his new enjoyment of fights when he originally fought to maintain his place as ruler and Goku fought to have fun, so that kinda rubbed off on him when they fought, among other things) but he also has shit done to his legacy and character too (Beerus being the one that actually told him to destroy Vegeta, the actual design of the Golden form looking like shit, the comical way they treat him and how little serious he feels in general) so I'd say yeah, he wasn't treated very well. Who knows how they'd do with the other villains.

I don't know but I think you're being way too nice about it. Sagas is way worse, mediocre doesn't even describe it. The only positive thing I can say about the game is that the devs had the balls to have you play as future Gohan who visibly has only one arm like he's supposed to so props to them for going the extra mile for that at least.

Why do fights between weaker opponents tend to have more impact than fights between stronger ones in anime? There's more impact here than half the shit in Super.

They're both the story of Goku who grew away from modern civilization being dragged into it by Bulma and bettering peoples' lives with his carefree attitude and childlike spirit by protecting them or forgiving those he defeats so they can protect them alongside him.

OP character fights can be good if there was some actual choreography instead of the usual "disappear while craters and shock-waves appear" that they usual default to

Honestly some of these problems were apparent from the Saiyan Saga alone. Goku and Piccolo literally meet a power level wall and stumble around to overcome it by sheer chance. Then Goku comes back from a year's worth of training and, with a handy multiplier, can equal up to and even surpass Vegeta at a cost when no one else besides fucking Gohan could so much as go beyond discomforting Nappa. The Frieza Saga only accentuated the power level stuff, but it's around this time the characters literally started tossing off scouters, hiding their true powers, and plot twists thanks to Vegeta kept things on their toes so it wasn't too formulaic. Even the Cell Saga at least had a solid idea without going too deep into power level shit until Cell himself despite Toriyama improvising the whole way, with the whole Saiyan cast trying to perfect and improve upon Super Saiyan and floundering about until Gohan pulls out what was at the time a perfected form.
