>digital cuckholdries
oof

Humans can’t see above 60fps anyway

Imagine paying for the lesser version

LMAO

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

But it's still high as fuck.
I have visible drops sometimes, but I'm on 1060 3GB, didn't changed default settings at all, still looks nice, works almost flawlessly.
DENUVO sucks anyway.

>not making multiple tests with different hardware
wow, what a finding

DEADNUVO COPE ITT

Please let this be the end of Denuvo
shit's been going on for long enough. SEGA has realised it's shit, hopefully others will follow.
I can't get locked 60fps in the new Metro, I bet I would it they'd remove Denuvo.

I’m running it at over 100 fps with far shorter old times.

Humans can’t see above 13fps anyway

At 480p,once you are CPU bottlenecked.
This means nothing

ITT: DENIAL

I'm playing 4k60, got some occasionally drops to 48-50 in cutscenes. Really need to upgrade my old cpu.

Considering how people here love to cite resolutions without context, it's weird to see missing

ONLY 173 FPS
literally unplayable /s

im playing it at 1080 thats why my framerate is so high

It's somewhat funny, they are forced to admit Denuvo hurts the game, but they still try to downplay it. But it only serves to point out that games that rely more on CPU are hurt a lot more by Denuvo

Guess that's why I had some drops up to 10frames in a certain mission for a few seconds.

Though I guess an i5 6500 won't cut it nowadays for anything.

Reminder: This is a benchmark done with everything weighted towards the CPU (480p resolution, shitty graphic settings). In real usage the performance increase would be minimal.

eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2019-devil-may-cry-5-pc-denuvo-protection-tested

does steam ban me if I play with the crack?

I'm already cucked but I can't be THIS cucked right?

Attached: 1549186338112.jpg (1285x1015, 115K)

Because irl cpu is bottlenecked by the GPU, if you're trying to test how much impact does CPU heavy DRM have on performance of course you play the game in low resolution

kaldaien on suicide watch

I don't even like the Witcher, but this is one of the reasons for why I am cheering for Cyberpunk 2077 so much. I want that game to be a smash hit.
Partly because publishers need to get it through their thick skulls that DRM is fucking bullshit.

Maybe. What's really going to happen is that the devs will just take down the no-drm exe then patch all the copies of Steam. All these gains pirates are drooling over will be limited to the buggy, day of release version.

How can I see my FPS?

That guy is the fucking worst.

I'm playing with 4670k at 4.2 and only have some drops in cutscenes. But yeah 4/4 not enough today.
I will buy 8400 next month, pain in the ass when it's upgrade time.

enable it on the Steam's overlays.

It's not a crack

why would you be cpu bottlenecked from a braindead action game console port

More specifically, it's a fork of the code without Denuvo that was accidentally left available on Steam

can i still download denuvo free exe? it's taken down from steam.

and what is sam2k8 crack? Is it cracked (not removed) denuvo version?

>have to cut it to 480i just to see a slight difference when both are still over 170fps on a modest PC
it's NOTHING

Sam2k8 crack removes Steam DRM

>Justifying paying customers having an inferior product

So it won't work anyways because still there is denuvo over it?

I know why Denuvo doesn't work.
Instead of hiring programmers they're hiring shills to defend their garbage software. Good to see the Denuvo shillforce in overdrive though.

Nah Sam2k8 crack is for the Denuvoless version accidentally put onto Steam. As the Denuvoless version is on Steam it still has Steam DRM meaning only people who have bought DMC V on Steam already can use it.

Steam DRM is easily cracked so the Sam2k8 crack allows people who haven't bought the game on Steam to play the Denuvoless version

>Instead of hiring programmers they're hiring shills to defend their garbage software.
Well it's the best choice for the both camps.

They don’t really need to, just people interpret and then talk about it wrong. What this test shows, is that Denuvo in dmcv has a cpu impact. Obviously it will vary between builds because of how much your cpu is being utilised, to the point of it not affecting framerate if you have enough cpu headroom. That said, it still shows that either the implementation of denuvo is flawed in dmcv or denuvo itself has a performance impact. This is all you can derive from this article alone.

>it doesnt affect performance at all until you bottleneck the cpu

okay?

>The performance difference is noticed on a mid-high end CPU from late 2017
>An overwhelming majority of people have significantly weaker hardware and are going to get hit far worse than a 7% reduction

Are we at the part where people who actually know about computers explain that denuvo is never actually removed even in cracked versions and the performance impact is just due to yet another nip game with bad coding or do we need to have more fake outrage and 300 posts of weebs and third worlders shouting SHILL first

>The performance difference is noticed on a mid-high end CPU from late 2017
*if you bottleneck the gpu to a ridiculously unrealistic extent

How about you read? It's not cracked, it's a legit exe without any denuvo code on it
>easily run 144fps at max settings and one of the best looking game ever made
>bad coding
Come the fuck on
>w-w-weeb!

You are correct that cracked versions typically bypass rather than remove Denuvo however, the version that was accidentally left on Steam being compared in the article genuinely does not have Denuvo and was most likely used by QA before release (it is the last code branch before the master version with Denuvo)

Please let this begin securom 2.0.

Yeah and just like I said, when they added the code to it, they fucked it up. Nip devs are tragically stupid in general much less with getting wrappers and the like working. Tekken 7 is a perfect example of that as the game was basically unplayable until they let someone who wasn't the in company fax machine technician work on it and now it runs fine.
Do you really think it's a coincidence that all the games that get tanked by denuvo are made by retarded Japs still using XP or shit tier C grade companies like the Bioware studio who made Andromeda? Meanwhile if you actually give a shit or know what you're doing games like Rise of the Tomb Raider or MGS5 have some of the best performance on PC.

What's wrong with them when they're posting actual results?

Yeah, from 186 to 173
So if you've got a 200/240Hz monitor and somehow can't afford a beastly machine to power it then yeah that steamworks exe might be worth it.

For 99.9999% of people that isn't gonna matter. Playing the retail version at 1080p120 on a GTX970 and an old as fuck i7-2600k

buyfags AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
>m-muh morals gimmie good boy points

except you're retarded, if you'd actually read the article you'd see that they had to drop the game to 480i to stop the GPU being the bottleneck

>173 vs 186 fps
It's not noticable unlike 47 vs 60 or something.

inb4 >cope

Buyfags can use the Denuvo free exe just the same and it's not like Denuvo gets removed from cracked games, it's just circumvented.

>Digital Foundry
I ain't clicking that, I really wanted to buy this game but with DRM? Nah, Fitgirl got me.

Attached: Denuvo.jpg (3852x1476, 938K)

i thought the guy said Denuvo hit the performance? He got banned a couple of time in MHW thread.

Thank you for confirming that you have absolutely shit all of an idea how computers work just as I originally stated

>making your customers pay for worse performance

when will they learn

Attached: 1336960257611.jpg (341x288, 36K)

>13 fps hit
>out of almost 200
you could have said 5-10%, but gotta clickbait harder than kotaku

Anyone have a problem where once you start playing the screen darkens to the point where you can't see anything except the orange glowing rocks?

>Harder than Kotaku

Thank u for the compliment sir

What is someone has an already CPU botlenecked system, like Ryzen 1600 with RTX 2080, very popular combo, and one of those 1080p 144Hz monitors.
You can't just shrug it off

For reference. I don't know what's going on. Changing brightness doesn't help.

480i actually. Literally ps2 resolution

This is a stupid comparison, to be honest. Once you're over 144hz, the smallest little app running in the background (like Logitech driver app or Rainmeter) is going to drop your FPS a few notches. Sustaining FPS that high is damn near impossible. I've seen a windows calendar reminder for an appointment drop my FPS 23 frames. You can't run a comparison with uncapped FPS. The only fair comparison is if it can sustain a set number (60, 144, etc).
