I feel genuine honest sadness for any who slept on this game, it's only march but easily a contender for my game of the year.

It’s pretty niche though. If you aren’t a fan then you won’t have a clue what to make of this absolute classic.

finished yesterday, GOD DAMN.
suda is a madlad, can't wait for his magnum opus next tittle

I can't git gud at the racing game.

was stuck on it for a time, just switch gears when in blue(fast btw, if you mess one up just restart) and use the turbo on last gear.

Hmmm.... I enjoyed it.

WELCOME TO HELL is goat

Honestly though this is one of the most sentimental games I've ever played, when you know suda's history this game speaks volumes and ties into reality really really well

I was like a deer in headlights on that shit. I don't know how to drive stick.

same, it only started clicking with me at the final race and it was then where I actually understood what the hell I was supposed to do.

If the rumors about Nintendo funding Suda's next game are true, I hope NMH3 is another Killer7 situation where Suda somehow convinces a major publisher to throw money at him while letting him retain complete creative control.

I kinda liked it. I don't feel ripped off at least.

God I fucking love killer7.

>Damned Dark Knight is pretty much SUDA coming in terms with how he feels about Shadow's of the Damned and what it represents for his career.

NMH3 might crossover with Killer7 since we got multiple references to Killer7 in TSA (including Dan in the intro with Badman)

It references every single grasshopper game. Except Lollipop chainsaw for some reason.

It's my favourite game from this year. Very good.

The DLC is fucking empty though, and bug ridden. At least put a FUCKING SECRET BOSS DUDE!

The MAPPY girl has the same name as the Lollipop Chainsaw girl.

ends on a positive note, like a father finally accepting that his son didn't turn out the way he wanted but will support him anyway.

>one of the best songs in an already god tier OST
>you barely get to hear more than 30 seconds in a normal playthrough

youtube.com/watch?v=GS1P9QFwAX8

It's a 6/10. Stop sucking Suda's dick.

i am surprised how the game reflects the actual story of the game
>shadows of the damn started being a different game totally
> eventually changed into the re4 clone we know now

This post is severely underrated. Thank you based user. My retard brain couldn’t figure out the feels I felt.

>I hope NMH3 is another Killer7 situation where Suda somehow convinces a major publisher to throw money at him while letting him retain complete creative control.

I just hope it's not -just- NMH3, you know? Suda will make gold out of anything if he's actually directing, but he must have learnt something about sequels and NMH2 (which I know he didn't have that much involvement with, but is a staple example of a sequel that tries to polish and ends up being completely uninteresting drivel). Flip it inside out, fuck the fans, whatever.

The game really exposed Pretendo Suda fans, that's for sure.

Reminder that there's a sequence in this game where Travis beats the shit out of an EA executive. Suda is based.

Attached: Bad Girl vs Travis Touchdown.jpg (1280x720, 254K)

>that 8bit remix of the badgirl theme
KINO

>Gf starts losing her shit when song starts playing
>user, if you don't mind can we just... listen for a bit?
Badman Strikes Back was kino

Same thing happened in Killer 7.

>this game where Travis beats the shit out of an EA executive.
Not only that, the dude's put as the next major villain.

Yeah, he clearly loves the characters. But he's no wishy washy about it either, he knows who the culprits are as to why the game turned the way it did, and is merciless towards them. It's hard finding a game with this level of control over the form of message.

>not sweet blue flag
rave on is good but that boss theme is on another level
youtube.com/watch?v=vDygmIrovFU&list=RDvDygmIrovFU&start_radio=1

Fuck that, I stood around the apartment and just let the song play on loop while I just did things around my room.
I also then made a video with it.
youtu.be/3KyIv8obnBM

Knew what track it'd be without even looking.

so, did you remember to bring the peanut butter?

notice how a mediocre game on switch barely gets any criticism? quite the opposite in fact

Reminder that game scores don't matter.

Attached: Travis isn't scared.jpg (1200x675, 230K)

I don't quite understand what you mean, user.

the problem with a game is that it's a 7/10 at best if you're a fan of suda's older works and a 4-5/10 at worst if all you've ever played is NMH1&2

Have they finished translating kurayami dance yet?

mediocre if you came here expecting no more heroes again, but if you are a suda fan this game does not stop giving.
kinda like infinity war

*with the game

Whenever I get around to getting a Switch I'm getting this, Bayo, Resident Evil 4, Dong Tropical Freeze, and Smash.

youtu.be/96uOBlDfTgs
The VN segments were better than they had any right to.

It was a very solid 6/10 for me. You can't say that about many games. Impressively well written for a video game.

out of the entire list you should probably play dong freeze first

it's an underrated gem

After TSA, I dont think the sequel will be -just- NMH3, especially with the 8-bit ending sequence and where that went. He seems happy making the games he wants to make even if it means that the fans wont always be warm to it.

Yup. The ending is confusing though.

There hasn't been a Grasshopper game I've played that I thought was absolute shit until this game came along. The levels are some of the dullest and copy pasted I've ever seen and the combat had no depth or excitement in any way.

I personally ranked this game an 8/10, and because of both the price being what it is and the game giving me so much fun, I consider it a must play.

I was having a blast the whole time through. It's really nice to know a creator and their work and suda finally gets to write and direct a new piece. I felt like some stuff was a little too on the nose but it really felt like a long letter written to anyone who knew him so I was having a great time front to back seeing what he had to say.

The game was great IMO because it showed that Suda actually sold out and later realized it was a terrible mistake. TSA was pretty much him declaring that he still has the determination to do what he wants and is also an apology to the people that enjoyed his earlier works and he ended up dissapointing after siding with the big publishers.

>The entire game is about Suda realizing his mistakes in abandoning NIntendo hardware and swearing them off in a new, high quality Nintendo exclusive

Xbox and Playstation were a mistake.

But SUDA's best game AKA Flower Sun and Rain is a PS2 exclusive that later got a port.

tfw I haven't played 25th ward yet even though I loved the Silver Case but I'm having trouble getting myself to play flower sun rain on my DS

Attached: 1549068855927.png (1000x1056, 589K)

It's not that good for me but I enjoyed it a ton.
I mostly just get irritated when people say 'looks like a mobile game.' You can tell it's zoomers who never played a hack-n-slash oor beat-em-ups before in their lives and their only exposure to them is through mobile games and maybe Mobas.

I feel second hand embarrassment for anyone that actually thinks this game is good. It's insultingly bad. Watching people actively shill this trash for over a month straight on hear is painful to watch.

seems like you didn't get it

Attached: 1549068640079.jpg (1920x1080, 277K)

Ahhh shit, here we go

Force yourself, even if it's just with a walkthrough. Took me like a year to ACTUALLY play through it, but it was so fucking worth it, holy shit.

You know it's true.

Metal Gear. Dead.

Final Fantasy: Dead

Mega Man: Dead

Abandoning NIntendo hardware is a death sentence for third party publishers.

Mega Man 11 was received really well and Capcom has been going through a comeback arc recently. Fixing their fighting games is all they have left. Inafune left and made Mighty Number 9 so even if you don't like Mega Man 11 you have to admit they did better with it than the guy responsible for mighty number 9 and outsourcing DMC. Mega Man will live, trust me, even if 11 isn't your favorite, they're doing better than Inafune was

LC is owned by Warner Brothers. Dealing with them so that they could have Juliet be in like one scene would be way more trouble than it's worth.

The ending feels rushed desu, like he just tied up all the loose plot points as fast as he could so he could put the ending twist

Attached: kurayami dance_Garcian and Mills.png (1125x1600, 826K)

Absolute nonsense, user.

Definitely became a game a really care about and a favorite of the year. I love the style and presentation but the levels and gameplay are still as lacking as the first two. Story-wise I enjoyed it a ton, the ending hit me harder than I ever though it would. Fucking love the credits song.

>filename

>Tried playing it on dolphin
>Heavy motion controls

so... what can we expect from NMH3 now that it's basically confirmed?

Attached: NMH3_Confirmed.jpg (2029x1138, 172K)

I love the subtle (and not so subtle) references

Attached: Promised Land_Kuroyami_Dance.png (1125x1600, 1.29M)

Metal Gear has many more issues than just "abandoning" Nintendo. Also it started on the MSX and only has like 4 games on Nintendo consoles?

FFXV was a shitshow but also the most successful FF and the MMO is doing pretty well

Didn't Mega Man's last game do well in terms of sales/critically?

Not only that, but one of the better details about the game (Sylvia's calls) is absolutely lost in Dolphin. It's one of the games to make better use of the Wiimote, though, VERY satisfying.

If I remember correctly, 2 lets you use the classic controller.

Trust me when I say NMH1 and 2 are some of the only Wii games where the motion controls are actually good. If you're real averse to it you can try emulating the first game with a KB+M setup and using a gamepad with 2

But shouldn't I play the first one for LORE

They're just shitposting.

No i'm not nigger, I genuinely tried to play it

Attached: 1503207218969.png (289x252, 128K)

Next DLC has a whole new level though

No, you should play the first one because it's good while the second one is bad. Get a Wii.

Post meant for

Just get a Wii bro

Attached: 4Head.jpg (900x900, 45K)

It's about the dude who says everyone not on Nintendo is destined to fail. Careful on calling anyone a nigger.

Is it?

Why does it seem like every major AAA franchise goes down the shitter somewhat regularly? It is because of Sony and Microsoft's influence.

You can meme about DMC5 all the like, but the long and short of it is that this game took a decade to come out, was predated by a very poorly received reboot ,and has already been outdone Bayonetta anyway.

i fucking loved this game and can't stop thinking about it, still the best story to come out of this year and Travis has to be one of the best character development of this generation

funny considering he was just an otaku loser living in a motel

There was this one event Suda held with Kojima, Mikami, and some one else where Suda goes "How can I make a successful game" and they all just went like "Don't." It seems like all these years later he understands what they meant

literally get one or just get the controllers(dolphin lets you connect wiimotes and use them exactly as you would on a wii, there is even a wii sensor specifically made for dolphin)

there is more gameplay depth in TSA than in the first 2 games. Those games were A>A>A>A>A swing wii mote.

Clone Travis
Real Life Doppleganger
EA Executive villain

Such is the life of being a 2 volume manga. I personally wonder if the manga was just a way of getting some form of Kurayami's intended vision out there, some way of trying to get in touch with his older style of works after Let it Die and revisiting his older works ported, or something. It felt like it could have gone on longer.

>It is because of Sony and Microsoft's influence.
user, Microsoft and Sony have little creative output on games they don't do finance for. You're overgeneralizing when you should check out in more scrutiny. You know little.

I know Vinny talked about it on his stream when he was playing sup pap ma

Finally found a Flower Sun and Rain PS2 ISO

Sony and Microsoft directly pay for third party support. Microsoft had to pay millions to get GTAIV on the 360.

This is the real reason Nintendo doesn't get supported. Because they aren't willing to do that. I think people are vastly underestimating just how toxic the other publishers are.

You fluent in Japanese? Otherwise the DS port is what you're looking to emulate

I'm practicing Japanese, I can read some but not all, that's a part of the learning though is finding things you don't understand as learning tools.

Oh nevermind no text appears at all lol might try software emulation

Attached: weeeeee.png (960x1080, 473K)

Wasn't the final level Travis going through the CIA, with the bugs basically confirmed to be real people, just with different appearances to make it more comfortable for people to kill? I don't entirely get everything behind TSA, but if Travis straight up killed and is now wanted by the CIA NMH3 will be a game Terry Davis would be proud of.
Is HLM basically part of the Sudaverse now too?

True, all the grunt fights in the first games felt way too samey, I did enjoy shadow stepping tho. The roulette wheel can go fuck itself. I definitely do hope they keep this kind of jumping in for 3 and possibly expand on air combat.

Attached: Travis pitfall.png (700x801, 290K)

I feel you
Also ouch lol

Yes they are real people though I think we'd have to wait til the next game to see how the government would react

Nah probably not

Software emulation solved it

Attached: fixed.png (1920x1080, 988K)

is there a translated FSR ps2 iso?

no

Is the DS version drastically worse? Should I wait?

The ds version is alright. I don't think it's significantly different, music quality and visuals take a dive but I wouldn't weigh the visuals in your decision in the first place anyway.
