Well I've got some good ideas, but what are your dev credentials?

add dinosaurs

what the fuck i went to high school with that guy.

A game where you don't make a game you fucking retard.

MMO where you have to try to convince players that you're just an NPC.

A game where you give women money for playing video games.

Your character works in a coal mine then goes home and gives his entire paycheck to a woman online with pink hair. The female characters uses her money and vote to end any social or monetary benefits the man has. Then the coal miner goes through a revenge scenario. Its a shmup and you collect your money back from the corporations that took them by using political propaganda. He helps end brainwashing of young male teens, who grew up after 2000 and made life mistakes by giving their power away to women (on International Women's Day).

Well I had an idea where you know how sometimes workers gave their machines nicknames and sometimes treats them as part of the family? In the not so distant future, what if a few of those machines became sentient?
You start off as a bunch of normal machines who can't do jack other than doing the job properly, eventually stealing some part or getting employees to do what you want, and limited to what kind of robot you are, modify yourself to say give yourself legs, treadmills etc. You can befriend employees that give you unique bonuses or parts or something.
As for the gameplay, maybe something Rimworld styled? Fuck if I know, it's something I thought up while waiting for the bus.

Rape anime

If you can't even conjure up a single idea to pursue then why are you thinking of making a game in the first place?

a game where you cant say Jackie Chan or else you die

Where can I download "Rape Day" game?

Prostitution Sim

Why do ideas threads more commonly have story sketches for a potential screenplay rather than an actual game idea?
They fill up with dozens of posts with ideas for stories without a single mention of how the game would actually play.

Why don't you guys just start reading and writing books instead or something?

Hey, its Phil Fish's slightly more handsome cousin

40k Harem Game

- Game hub is set at the Emperor's Palace on Terra with all Primarchs present along with Emperor
- All of them are straight up women, including the Emperor, but all the other marines are males and are loyal to them like how a son is loyal to his mother.
- The aim or goal of the game is to make sure the crusade to conquer a brand new system is successful. Outside of battle, you earn the favor of the various Primoms and the Empress at the Palace. This is where the gameplay comes in.
- You also have to make sure to spend resources to upgrade your skills, facilities at the palace, the fleet, and recruiting and upgrading new troops.

- Of course, you are not an ordinary marine, but a brand new experimental marine created with the combined gene-seeds of all the Primoms and the Empress herself. Being recently created, you resemble a young boy compared to the typical marine, but they have given you a special marine armor (think Iron Man) that allows to equal or even surpass the capabilities of a typical marine while you are still at a young age.
- All the Primoms and the Empress admit you are adorable and cute but have their own different ways of treating you as just another regular marine.

- You can improve your relationship with each of them or just the ones that you like. And they all have different conditions that fit their personalities and character which ties into the gameplay.
- For example, one of them could be impressed by winning more and more battles, while another could be impressed by giving her artifacts you find as spoils of war, and yet another becomes impressed only if you fight a certain way during battles.
- You can also choose to improve your relationship with each Primom the "wrong way", which leads to corrupting them to chaos. If enough of them are corrupted, it will trigger one kind endgame scenario where you must choose a side and battle the others.

- Other characters featured in the game:
- A couple of Eldar matriarchs sneaking around the palace, trying to collect info while badly disguised as humans. Somehow everyone is fooled by this except you.
- A high-ranking sister of battle that has some kind of PTSD except she's never actually gone into battle
- A female Tau hostage that starts out in a prison cell but you can negotiate with the Empress to allow her some freedom to roam around
- An anomalous female Ork Warboss that is almost resistant to every weapon they test on her
- A chaos cultist pretending to be loyal. She's mostly harmless though.
- A buff female guardsman from Catachan
- And others

People on Yea Forums like the generic AAA style of gameplay like Last of Us, Dying Light, or Ass Creed.

take two games you like and think about how you could combine them. core mechanics won't always fit together so you'll have to decide which one is more important, but it's still a good starting point. how would x game look if you merged it with harvest moon? would you remove the farming from harvest moon but keep basically everything else? how would things need to be changed to make that work?
take a game you like and just change one mechanic, then think about what else needs to be changed based on that. take xcom. what if instead of just taking a squad of 5 or 6 out on missions you take a platoon of 40. obviously it'd be insane and turns would take forever if you controlled them all individually, so before missions you'd make 8-10 squads of 4-5 and then you'd move those squads around the map as a single unit, maybe having the option to slightly split them apart so they're not all behind the same bit of cover. from there you'd think about how classes would need to be reworked and how you'd have to change enemies either by making them more plentiful or making them more difficult to compensate for you having more soldiers
take a 3d game you like and imagine how it'd work in 2d. everyone's already done dark souls, so take something like dragon's dogma or stalker or devil may cry. would overhead or side scrolling work better? you wouldn't be able to translate everything 1:1, so how would you preserve the feeling of the game? that'll get you thinking about what mechanics are vital to the experience, and what's just fluff that would be nice to have of course but it isn't necessary

>Why don't you guys just start reading and writing books instead or something?
Because we want to actually make a living, who the fuck buys newly released fiction books?
Also none of us actually know how to write, everyone is just an idea guy, the thing everyone is.

Lol go soak your head bub

Why? Are you trying to earn more good boy points?

please make a millia wars 3.....

just take two genres/game mechanics and mix them together
like
>Battle royale
>Zachtronics-like/puzzle game

>everyone in this thread posting "story" ideas

dabbing

OP is going to make a mobile game with tons of ads and lootboxes because it's the only viably profitable business practice unless you're an AAA studio.

a good real world example of the first since I couldn't think of one off the top of my head is taking ikaruga and mixing it with an exploratory platformer. it'd be a bit strange to be a spaceship in a castlevania like platformer since that'd remove any platforming, so you instead just take one mechanic from ikaruga, the polarization mechanic. okay so you've got an exploratory platformer where there are two damage types, and you can swap polarities to nullify damage from one enemy type while taking lots of damage from the other type. slap an smt coat of paint on it and you've got smt: synchronicity prologue

Cooking Mama Battle Royale.
