About to play Dark Souls 3. Any really stupid annoying npc quest requirements I should know about? Also what is better, quality build or dex pyro? Pve focused.

Just fucking play it you fag

>he needs help with the easiest game in the series

Yes. There are tons of NPCs with quests that are ridiculously easy to fail at.
Check their wikis, it's literally impossible to know anything beforehand. Some NPCs require others to be dead and befriending some will make others hostile.

This is not a Bloodborne thread

If you unironically ever played a soulsborne game and enjoyed it, you don't belong here.
Soulsborne is a reddit exclusive series.

Never been to reddit but it probably is better than nu/v/ wojak posting hell

Skeletons just killed Anri at the bridge. Sometimes I wish there would be a reload option in Souls.

only Bloodborne and DaS3 are reddit games.

Unless you're going for a caster build, don't worry about NPCs too much. Quality build is always good for a first playthrough.

>can't pause when playing offline
>can't quit game when invaded by npc when playing offline
Pretty retarded

>Any really stupid annoying npc quest requirements I should know about
too many to fucking list in this game

>stupid annoying npc quest
I played demons souls like six times and still never did that assassin npc thing

If you kill the Undead Settlement boss without getting the Mound makers covenant it is inaccessible until near the end of the game and locked behind a sidequest that breaks if you offer to another specific covenant
If you buy Dark Miracles from the priestess, she goes insane or something, which has no real effect on progression but I want to protect that smile

its called alt f4 dum dum

aren't basically all the NPC quests stupid and annoying without a guide

Continuing a certain character's quest requires you to go back to the Firelink Shrine's tower for no reason.

In fact, multiple quests require going back to already cleared areas for no reason, made worse by the game's linear design.

There's only one NPC who matters. Everyone else can fuck off.

Build doesn't matter as long as you use a longsword

There's a guy who gives you 5 free level ups at no real cost but you have to claim them before a specific point in the game because he dies for no real reason.

Actually, 90% of the NPCs in the game die for no real reason as you make progress.

>joining a certain covenant fails her questline without warning

DS1 and DS2 are far easier, the bosses in those games compared to the ones in DS3 are a joke

Thats true in all souls games, even if you help them along they end up in misery and hollowed the fuck out/dead.

>Edited my appearance with Rosaria the rotten milk mommy
OH FUCK NO. I just helped her kill her grandad too. I want her armor goddamit. Are you sure it's that and not leveling up in her covenant?

I think you need to hand in a tongue to trigger her quest failing. Changing appearance or respeccing is fine.

I feel like the first few had less of that than BB/3, by the end of 2 your little village almost felt like it was thriving. In 3 you start with an empty shrine, and then by the end it's empty again with everyone who comes to it dying.

She doesn't go insane as in hostile, some of her dialogue changes, and Mourne will kidnap her and try to kill you

To be fair, I think the pilgrim dies solely because he's old.

yeah but at the end of 3, it's actually all fucking over. everything goes to shit and reality pretty much breaks down with worls shifting into each other.

haha guise I did it I Yea Forums memed!!!1!one!

Almost everyone dies in 1 too

I think 2 is the only one where that doesn't happen

Most of the people survived in DeS as well provided you don't let Yurt the Silent Chef kill them and you don't kill them yourself.

First playthrough. Just go through it blind. Give it a rest, think back to key moments that you remember.
Second playthrough. Baby-step yourself with the wiki.

This was very enjoyable for me and maybe it will be for you as well. Good luck Ashen One.
