I know I'm just saying, there's always an ulterior motive/method of generating income flow, usually selling info/habits/any number of things, or selling quietly edited gear, that's how most GunZ 1 servers functioned for the better part of a decade, now they just have a plain ass donation system to get the higher tier shit.
It doesn't cost a lot to host and the staff has real working adults with real working adult paychecks.

My job also had a side business hosting servers. Thanks to the powers of Korean magixx s4 takes next to nothing to host. I've been part of so many shitty private s4 servers that went under because literal children we're hosting it I just got fed up. So yeah, there's no catch. It's just powered by a bunch of lazy fucks who work at their own pace when it comes to updating. I'd say that's the only downside as a player.
