There's not a whole lot to glean from your post, is it modern times? Future? Past? Some fantasy where the world took a completely different turn than for us? Generally treat them like what would make sense in the story you've come up with, it's their world, how would the characters you built up throughout this story react to this? Would the protagonist just shrug it off like it's no big deal or not? As for how you should write your female characters, fuck if I know you double nigger you haven't given shit for info as to what your shit is all about and it's all just speculation.

Don't know where you live, but in the US military they're relegated to really passive positions and for good reason. Desk jobs, engineering, information gathering, radio communications. They cannot be trusted nor relied upon out in field operations, and are often the cause of troop morale to plummet and even cause infighting.

Well, that depends on your own motivations, dude. If it's just for diversity points, bad decision. If it's because you like cute girls, well have them do cute things. If it's because sadistic intelligent women/girls turn you on, well then have them do cruel things for coldly practical reasons. Etc etc.

Characters - of any race, gender, religion, whatever - are tools. A good writer uses their characters to achieve the goals that the writer intends to achieve in their story. If a character does not help achieve a goal, well then maybe they shouldn't be included.

Like, consider a horror movie. You have this kind cute girl, who the audience likes, and then suddenly she gets killed off in brutal fashion. That's an example of using a character to invoke anger and horror in the audience. And then as a result, the final girl in the horror movie will feel like they've learned from the moment of weakness that the girl who got killed off showed; and be strong enough to survive all the way to the end. See Ripley and Lambert in the original Alien.
