asura's final form is literally the size of a galaxy. a GALAXY.
you could travel at lightspeed your whole year without even going from his feet to knees. that's how large he is. I don't think that whatever your "god" can do is able to instantly erase something that big, or turn it insane. asura would literally not even be able to see him, even with a galaxy-size microscope.

i mean, if any of the Bloodborne great ones posses power on par with lovecrafts god Azathoth then the answer is Yes they could beat him, since that would mean that the universe is a dream being held together by said god.
and that is quite plausible since great ones creating there own dream universes is a common theme in the game

well they need to keep it within the realm of game mechanics, but lore wise you never fight a great one untill you are one yourself, since moon presence can only be withstood if you have consumed all 3 cords. and orphan is in a dream and ebby was relatively weakened by the church.

I haven't gotten around to reading my lovecraft compendium yet, but aren't most of the lovecraftian gods that would be on the "tier" of what you find in Bloodborne kind of weaksauce? They're the ones that actually exist in some capacity, but are otherwise defined by "how they interact with humanity". The moon presence is probably the closest to a "high tier" lovecraftian entity, and even that seemed to have physical form within the dream.

Personally the best example of what a true lovecraftian "god" could be is pic-related. It's a memetic symbol/pattern that is so prolific out of whatever we could personify as humans to be a "desire to continue existing", but we can't actually see or interact with it in any way. The only evidence we have for its existence would be the assumption that it is in some way representative of something far greater than us, and that it's influence upon us is a mere side-effect of it's impercievable true form.
The kind of logic that would at first come across as somebody being pointlessly paranoid. "It's just a thing kids draw for fun", "It doesn't have any relevance to That Which Is Far Greater Than Humanity", "It's just a very infectious meme, that can happen, like any viral video." the 'rational' people would say, except, if an idea was a live, wouldn't it exhibit some degree of self-preservation even subconsciously? We may very well be in the shadow of an Old One, and the only way we will ever know of its passing away from us is the lack of its symbol in social memory.

Granted, again, my lovecraft-fu is quite weak, but most of the "gods" people seem to quote are "known entities", that are "incomprehensible" to the human brain in that they cause madness or paranoia when in the presence of humanity (or cause fish to do weird things), when the "genre" of lovecraftian horror seems like the far end of the scale should fall under the realm of "how do you kill [aspect of society which is our only evidence of its existence]?"

its funny that you should mention all that, because i forgot to mention the one god in bloodborne that could very well be the strongest. Oedon. in the lore hes the "formless god" who dosent exist in any physical capacity, hes simply everywhere and nowhere.
